One of the 240 subdivisions of the Quran (quarter of a Hizb)

41:9
۞قُلۡ
qul
Say
أَئِنَّكُمۡ
a-innakum
Do you indeed
لَتَكۡفُرُونَ
latakfuruna
[surely] disbelieve
بِٱلَّذِي
bi-alladhi
in the One Who
خَلَقَ
khalaqa
created
ٱلۡأَرۡضَ
al-arda
the earth
فِي
fi
in
يَوۡمَيۡنِ
yawmayni
two periods
وَتَجۡعَلُونَ
wataj'aluna
and you set up
لَهُۥٓ
lahu
with Him
أَندَادٗاۚ
andadan
rivals
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
That
رَبُّ
rabbu
(is the) Lord
ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
al-'alamina
(of) the worlds
٩
41:10
وَجَعَلَ
waja'ala
And He placed
فِيهَا
fiha
therein
رَوَٰسِيَ
rawasiya
firmly-set mountains
مِن
min
above it
فَوۡقِهَا
fawqiha
above it
وَبَٰرَكَ
wabaraka
and He blessed
فِيهَا
fiha
therein
وَقَدَّرَ
waqaddara
and determined
فِيهَآ
fiha
therein
أَقۡوَٰتَهَا
aqwataha
its sustenance
فِيٓ
fi
in
أَرۡبَعَةِ
arba'ati
four
أَيَّامٖ
ayyamin
periods
سَوَآءٗ
sawaan
equal
لِّلسَّآئِلِينَ
lilssailina
for those who ask
١٠
41:11
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
ٱسۡتَوَىٰٓ
is'tawa
He directed (Himself)
إِلَى
ila
towards
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
al-samai
the heaven
وَهِيَ
wahiya
while it (was)
دُخَانٞ
dukhanun
smoke
فَقَالَ
faqala
and He said
لَهَا
laha
to it
وَلِلۡأَرۡضِ
walil'ardi
and to the earth
ٱئۡتِيَا
i'tiya
Come both of you
طَوۡعًا
taw'an
willingly
أَوۡ
aw
or
كَرۡهٗا
karhan
unwillingly
قَالَتَآ
qalata
They both said
أَتَيۡنَا
atayna
We come
طَآئِعِينَ
tai'ina
willingly

41:12
فَقَضَىٰهُنَّ
faqadahunna
Then He completed them
سَبۡعَ
sab'a
(as) seven
سَمَٰوَاتٖ
samawatin
heavens
فِي
fi
in
يَوۡمَيۡنِ
yawmayni
two periods
وَأَوۡحَىٰ
wa-awha
and He revealed
فِي
fi
in
كُلِّ
kulli
each
سَمَآءٍ
samain
heaven
أَمۡرَهَاۚ
amraha
its affair
وَزَيَّنَّا
wazayyanna
And We adorned
ٱلسَّمَآءَ
al-samaa
the heaven
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
al-dun'ya
[the world]
بِمَصَٰبِيحَ
bimasabiha
with lamps
وَحِفۡظٗاۚ
wahif'zan
and (to) guard
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
That
تَقۡدِيرُ
taqdiru
(is the) Decree
ٱلۡعَزِيزِ
al-'azizi
(of) the All-Mighty
ٱلۡعَلِيمِ
al-'alimi
the All-Knower
١٢
41:13
فَإِنۡ
fa-in
But if
أَعۡرَضُواْ
a'radu
they turn away
فَقُلۡ
faqul
then say
أَنذَرۡتُكُمۡ
andhartukum
I have warned you
صَٰعِقَةٗ
sa'iqatan
(of) a thunderbolt
مِّثۡلَ
mith'la
like
صَٰعِقَةِ
sa'iqati
(the) thunderbolt
عَادٖ
adin
(of) Aad
وَثَمُودَ
wathamuda
and Thamud
١٣
41:14
إِذۡ
idh
When
جَآءَتۡهُمُ
jaathumu
came to them
ٱلرُّسُلُ
al-rusulu
the Messengers
مِنۢ
min
from before them
بَيۡنِ
bayni
from before them
أَيۡدِيهِمۡ
aydihim
from before them
وَمِنۡ
wamin
and from
خَلۡفِهِمۡ
khalfihim
behind them
أَلَّا
alla
(saying) Do not
تَعۡبُدُوٓاْ
ta'budu
worship
إِلَّا
illa
except
ٱللَّهَۖ
al-laha
Allah
قَالُواْ
qalu
They said
لَوۡ
law
If
شَآءَ
shaa
(had) willed
رَبُّنَا
rabbuna
our Lord
لَأَنزَلَ
la-anzala
surely He (would have) sent down
مَلَٰٓئِكَةٗ
malaikatan
Angels
فَإِنَّا
fa-inna
So indeed we
بِمَآ
bima
in what
أُرۡسِلۡتُم
ur'sil'tum
you have been sent
بِهِۦ
bihi
with
كَٰفِرُونَ
kafiruna
(are) disbelievers
١٤
41:15
فَأَمَّا
fa-amma
Then as for
عَادٞ
adun
Aad
فَٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْ
fa-is'takbaru
they were arrogant
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the land
بِغَيۡرِ
bighayri
without
ٱلۡحَقِّ
al-haqi
[the] right
وَقَالُواْ
waqalu
and they said
مَنۡ
man
Who
أَشَدُّ
ashaddu
(is) mightier
مِنَّا
minna
than us
قُوَّةًۖ
quwwatan
(in) strength
أَوَلَمۡ
awalam
Do not
يَرَوۡاْ
yaraw
they see
أَنَّ
anna
that
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
the One Who
خَلَقَهُمۡ
khalaqahum
created them
هُوَ
huwa
He
أَشَدُّ
ashaddu
(is) Mightier
مِنۡهُمۡ
min'hum
than them
قُوَّةٗۖ
quwwatan
(in) strength
وَكَانُواْ
wakanu
But they used to
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
biayatina
in Our Signs
يَجۡحَدُونَ
yajhaduna
deny
١٥
41:16
فَأَرۡسَلۡنَا
fa-arsalna
So We sent
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
alayhim
upon them
رِيحٗا
rihan
a wind
صَرۡصَرٗا
sarsaran
furious
فِيٓ
fi
in
أَيَّامٖ
ayyamin
(the) days
نَّحِسَاتٖ
nahisatin
(of) misfortune
لِّنُذِيقَهُمۡ
linudhiqahum
that We may make them taste
عَذَابَ
adhaba
(the) punishment
ٱلۡخِزۡيِ
al-khiz'yi
(of) disgrace
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ
al-hayati
the life
ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ
al-dun'ya
(of) the world
وَلَعَذَابُ
wala'adhabu
And surely (the) punishment
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
al-akhirati
(of) the Hereafter
أَخۡزَىٰۖ
akhza
(is) more disgracing
وَهُمۡ
wahum
and they
لَا
la
will not be helped
يُنصَرُونَ
yunsaruna
will not be helped
١٦
41:17
وَأَمَّا
wa-amma
And as for
ثَمُودُ
thamudu
Thamud
فَهَدَيۡنَٰهُمۡ
fahadaynahum
We guided them
فَٱسۡتَحَبُّواْ
fa-is'tahabbu
but they preferred
ٱلۡعَمَىٰ
al-'ama
[the] blindness
عَلَى
ala
over
ٱلۡهُدَىٰ
al-huda
the guidance
فَأَخَذَتۡهُمۡ
fa-akhadhathum
so seized them
صَٰعِقَةُ
sa'iqatu
a thunderbolt
ٱلۡعَذَابِ
al-'adhabi
(of) the punishment
ٱلۡهُونِ
al-huni
humiliating
بِمَا
bima
for what
كَانُواْ
kanu
they used to
يَكۡسِبُونَ
yaksibuna
earn
١٧
41:18
وَنَجَّيۡنَا
wanajjayna
And We saved
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believed
وَكَانُواْ
wakanu
and used to
يَتَّقُونَ
yattaquna
fear (Allah)
١٨
41:19
وَيَوۡمَ
wayawma
And (the) Day
يُحۡشَرُ
yuh'sharu
will be gathered
أَعۡدَآءُ
a'dau
(the) enemies
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
إِلَى
ila
to
ٱلنَّارِ
al-nari
the Fire
فَهُمۡ
fahum
then they
يُوزَعُونَ
yuza'una
will be assembled in rows
١٩
41:20
حَتَّىٰٓ
hatta
Until
إِذَا
idha
when
مَا
ma
when
جَآءُوهَا
jauha
they come to it
شَهِدَ
shahida
(will) testify
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
alayhim
against them
سَمۡعُهُمۡ
sam'uhum
their hearing
وَأَبۡصَٰرُهُمۡ
wa-absaruhum
and their sight
وَجُلُودُهُم
wajuluduhum
and their skins
بِمَا
bima
(as) to what
كَانُواْ
kanu
they used to
يَعۡمَلُونَ
ya'maluna
do

41:21
وَقَالُواْ
waqalu
And they will say
لِجُلُودِهِمۡ
lijuludihim
to their skins
لِمَ
lima
Why do
شَهِدتُّمۡ
shahidttum
you testify
عَلَيۡنَاۖ
alayna
against us
قَالُوٓاْ
qalu
They will say
أَنطَقَنَا
antaqana
Allah made us speak
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah made us speak
ٱلَّذِيٓ
alladhi
the One Who
أَنطَقَ
antaqa
makes speak
كُلَّ
kulla
every
شَيۡءٖۚ
shayin
thing
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and He
خَلَقَكُمۡ
khalaqakum
created you
أَوَّلَ
awwala
(the) first
مَرَّةٖ
marratin
time
وَإِلَيۡهِ
wa-ilayhi
and to Him
تُرۡجَعُونَ
tur'ja'una
you will be returned
٢١
41:22
وَمَا
wama
And not
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
you were
تَسۡتَتِرُونَ
tastatiruna
covering yourselves
أَن
an
lest
يَشۡهَدَ
yashhada
testify
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
alaykum
against you
سَمۡعُكُمۡ
sam'ukum
your hearing
وَلَآ
wala
and not
أَبۡصَٰرُكُمۡ
absarukum
your sight
وَلَا
wala
and not
جُلُودُكُمۡ
juludukum
your skins
وَلَٰكِن
walakin
but
ظَنَنتُمۡ
zanantum
you assumed
أَنَّ
anna
that
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
لَا
la
(does) not
يَعۡلَمُ
ya'lamu
know
كَثِيرٗا
kathiran
much
مِّمَّا
mimma
of what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
ta'maluna
you do
٢٢
41:23
وَذَٰلِكُمۡ
wadhalikum
And that
ظَنُّكُمُ
zannukumu
(was) your assumption
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
which
ظَنَنتُم
zanantum
you assumed
بِرَبِّكُمۡ
birabbikum
about your Lord
أَرۡدَىٰكُمۡ
ardakum
It has ruined you
فَأَصۡبَحۡتُم
fa-asbahtum
and you have become
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡخَٰسِرِينَ
al-khasirina
the losers
٢٣
41:24
فَإِن
fa-in
Then if
يَصۡبِرُواْ
yasbiru
they endure
فَٱلنَّارُ
fal-naru
the Fire
مَثۡوٗى
mathwan
(is) an abode
لَّهُمۡۖ
lahum
for them
وَإِن
wa-in
and if
يَسۡتَعۡتِبُواْ
yasta'tibu
they ask for favor
فَمَا
fama
then not
هُم
hum
they
مِّنَ
mina
(will be) of
ٱلۡمُعۡتَبِينَ
al-mu'tabina
those who receive favor
٢٤
