2:272
۞لَّيۡسَ
laysa
Not
عَلَيۡكَ
alayka
on you
هُدَىٰهُمۡ
hudahum
(is) their guidance
وَلَٰكِنَّ
walakinna
[and] but
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
يَهۡدِي
yahdi
guides
مَن
man
whom
يَشَآءُۗ
yashau
He wills
وَمَا
wama
And whatever
تُنفِقُواْ
tunfiqu
you spend
مِنۡ
min
of
خَيۡرٖ
khayrin
good
فَلِأَنفُسِكُمۡۚ
fali-anfusikum
then it is for yourself
وَمَا
wama
and not
تُنفِقُونَ
tunfiquna
you spend
إِلَّا
illa
except
ٱبۡتِغَآءَ
ib'tighaa
seeking
وَجۡهِ
wajhi
(the) face
ٱللَّهِۚ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
وَمَا
wama
And whatever
تُنفِقُواْ
tunfiqu
you spend
مِنۡ
min
of
خَيۡرٖ
khayrin
good
يُوَفَّ
yuwaffa
will be repaid in full
إِلَيۡكُمۡ
ilaykum
to you
وَأَنتُمۡ
wa-antum
and you
لَا
la
(will) not
تُظۡلَمُونَ
tuz'lamuna
be wronged
٢٧٢
2:273
لِلۡفُقَرَآءِ
lil'fuqarai
For the poor
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
أُحۡصِرُواْ
uh'siru
are wrapped up
فِي
fi
in
سَبِيلِ
sabili
(the) way
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
لَا
la
not
يَسۡتَطِيعُونَ
yastati'una
they are able
ضَرۡبٗا
darban
(to) move about
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the earth
يَحۡسَبُهُمُ
yahsabuhumu
Think (about) them
ٱلۡجَاهِلُ
al-jahilu
the ignorant one
أَغۡنِيَآءَ
aghniyaa
(that they are) self-sufficient
مِنَ
mina
(because) of
ٱلتَّعَفُّفِ
al-ta'afufi
(their) restraint
تَعۡرِفُهُم
ta'rifuhum
you recognize them
بِسِيمَٰهُمۡ
bisimahum
by their mark
لَا
la
Not
يَسۡـَٔلُونَ
yasaluna
(do) they ask
ٱلنَّاسَ
al-nasa
the people
إِلۡحَافٗاۗ
il'hafan
with importunity
وَمَا
wama
And whatever
تُنفِقُواْ
tunfiqu
you spend
مِنۡ
min
of
خَيۡرٖ
khayrin
good
فَإِنَّ
fa-inna
then indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
بِهِۦ
bihi
of it
عَلِيمٌ
alimun
(is) All-Knower
٢٧٣
2:274
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
Those who
يُنفِقُونَ
yunfiquna
spend
أَمۡوَٰلَهُم
amwalahum
their wealth
بِٱلَّيۡلِ
bi-al-layli
by night
وَٱلنَّهَارِ
wal-nahari
and day
سِرّٗا
sirran
secretly
وَعَلَانِيَةٗ
wa'alaniyatan
and openly
فَلَهُمۡ
falahum
then for them
أَجۡرُهُمۡ
ajruhum
(is) their reward
عِندَ
inda
with
رَبِّهِمۡ
rabbihim
their Lord
وَلَا
wala
and no
خَوۡفٌ
khawfun
fear
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
alayhim
on them
وَلَا
wala
and not
هُمۡ
hum
they
يَحۡزَنُونَ
yahzanuna
will grieve

2:275
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
Those who
يَأۡكُلُونَ
yakuluna
consume
ٱلرِّبَوٰاْ
al-riba
[the] usury
لَا
la
not
يَقُومُونَ
yaqumuna
they can stand
إِلَّا
illa
except
كَمَا
kama
like
يَقُومُ
yaqumu
stands
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
the one who
يَتَخَبَّطُهُ
yatakhabbatuhu
confounds him
ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ
al-shaytanu
the Shaitaan
مِنَ
mina
with
ٱلۡمَسِّۚ
al-masi
(his) touch
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
That
بِأَنَّهُمۡ
bi-annahum
(is) because they
قَالُوٓاْ
qalu
say
إِنَّمَا
innama
Only
ٱلۡبَيۡعُ
al-bay'u
the trade
مِثۡلُ
mith'lu
(is) like
ٱلرِّبَوٰاْۗ
al-riba
[the] usury
وَأَحَلَّ
wa-ahalla
While has permitted
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
ٱلۡبَيۡعَ
al-bay'a
[the] trade
وَحَرَّمَ
waharrama
but (has) forbidden
ٱلرِّبَوٰاْۚ
al-riba
[the] usury
فَمَن
faman
Then whoever
جَآءَهُۥ
jaahu
comes to him
مَوۡعِظَةٞ
maw'izatun
(the) admonition
مِّن
min
from
رَّبِّهِۦ
rabbihi
His Lord
فَٱنتَهَىٰ
fa-intaha
and he refrained
فَلَهُۥ
falahu
then for him
مَا
ma
what
سَلَفَ
salafa
(has) passed
وَأَمۡرُهُۥٓ
wa-amruhu
and his case
إِلَى
ila
(is) with
ٱللَّهِۖ
al-lahi
Allah
وَمَنۡ
waman
and whoever
عَادَ
ada
repeated
فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
fa-ulaika
then those
أَصۡحَٰبُ
ashabu
(are the) companions
ٱلنَّارِۖ
al-nari
(of) the Fire
هُمۡ
hum
they
فِيهَا
fiha
in it
خَٰلِدُونَ
khaliduna
will abide forever
٢٧٥
2:276
يَمۡحَقُ
yamhaqu
Destroys
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
ٱلرِّبَوٰاْ
al-riba
the usury
وَيُرۡبِي
wayur'bi
and (gives) increase
ٱلصَّدَقَٰتِۗ
al-sadaqati
(for) the charities
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
لَا
la
(does) not
يُحِبُّ
yuhibbu
love
كُلَّ
kulla
every
كَفَّارٍ
kaffarin
ungrateful
أَثِيمٍ
athimin
sinner
٢٧٦
2:277
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe[d]
وَعَمِلُواْ
wa'amilu
and did
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
al-salihati
good deeds
وَأَقَامُواْ
wa-aqamu
and established
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
al-salata
the prayer
وَءَاتَوُاْ
waatawu
and gave
ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ
al-zakata
the zakah
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
أَجۡرُهُمۡ
ajruhum
their reward
عِندَ
inda
(is) with
رَبِّهِمۡ
rabbihim
their Lord
وَلَا
wala
and no
خَوۡفٌ
khawfun
fear
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
alayhim
on them
وَلَا
wala
and not
هُمۡ
hum
they
يَحۡزَنُونَ
yahzanuna
will grieve
٢٧٧
2:278
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
yaayyuha
O you
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe[d]
ٱتَّقُواْ
ittaqu
Fear
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
وَذَرُواْ
wadharu
and give up
مَا
ma
what
بَقِيَ
baqiya
remained
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلرِّبَوٰٓاْ
al-riba
[the] usury
إِن
in
if
كُنتُم
kuntum
you are
مُّؤۡمِنِينَ
mu'minina
believers
٢٧٨
2:279
فَإِن
fa-in
And if
لَّمۡ
lam
not
تَفۡعَلُواْ
taf 'alu
you do
فَأۡذَنُواْ
fadhanu
then be informed
بِحَرۡبٖ
biharbin
of a war
مِّنَ
mina
from
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
وَرَسُولِهِۦۖ
warasulihi
and His Messenger
وَإِن
wa-in
And if
تُبۡتُمۡ
tub'tum
you repent
فَلَكُمۡ
falakum
then for you
رُءُوسُ
ruusu
(is)
أَمۡوَٰلِكُمۡ
amwalikum
your capital
لَا
la
(do) not
تَظۡلِمُونَ
tazlimuna
wrong
وَلَا
wala
and not
تُظۡلَمُونَ
tuz'lamuna
you will be wronged
٢٧٩
2:280
وَإِن
wa-in
And if
كَانَ
kana
is
ذُو
dhu
the (debtor)
عُسۡرَةٖ
us'ratin
in difficulty
فَنَظِرَةٌ
fanaziratun
then postponement
إِلَىٰ
ila
until
مَيۡسَرَةٖۚ
maysaratin
ease
وَأَن
wa-an
And if
تَصَدَّقُواْ
tasaddaqu
you remit as charity
خَيۡرٞ
khayrun
(it is) better
لَّكُمۡ
lakum
for you
إِن
in
If
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
you
تَعۡلَمُونَ
ta'lamuna
know
٢٨٠
2:281
وَٱتَّقُواْ
wa-ittaqu
And fear
يَوۡمٗا
yawman
a Day
تُرۡجَعُونَ
tur'ja'una
you will be brought back
فِيهِ
fihi
[in it]
إِلَى
ila
to
ٱللَّهِۖ
al-lahi
Allah
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
تُوَفَّىٰ
tuwaffa
(will be) repaid in full
كُلُّ
kullu
every
نَفۡسٖ
nafsin
soul
مَّا
ma
what
كَسَبَتۡ
kasabat
it earned
وَهُمۡ
wahum
and they
لَا
la
not
يُظۡلَمُونَ
yuz'lamuna
will be wronged

2:282
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
yaayyuha
O you
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
who
ءَامَنُوٓاْ
amanu
believe[d]
إِذَا
idha
When
تَدَايَنتُم
tadayantum
you contract with one another
بِدَيۡنٍ
bidaynin
any debt
إِلَىٰٓ
ila
for
أَجَلٖ
ajalin
a term
مُّسَمّٗى
musamman
fixed
فَٱكۡتُبُوهُۚ
fa-uk'tubuhu
then write it
وَلۡيَكۡتُب
walyaktub
And let write
بَّيۡنَكُمۡ
baynakum
between you
كَاتِبُۢ
katibun
a scribe
بِٱلۡعَدۡلِۚ
bil-'adli
in justice
وَلَا
wala
And not
يَأۡبَ
yaba
(should) refuse
كَاتِبٌ
katibun
a scribe
أَن
an
that
يَكۡتُبَ
yaktuba
he writes
كَمَا
kama
as
عَلَّمَهُ
allamahu
(has) taught him
ٱللَّهُۚ
al-lahu
Allah
فَلۡيَكۡتُبۡ
falyaktub
So let him write
وَلۡيُمۡلِلِ
walyum'lili
and let dictate
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
the one
عَلَيۡهِ
alayhi
on whom
ٱلۡحَقُّ
al-haqu
(is) the right
وَلۡيَتَّقِ
walyattaqi
and let him fear
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
رَبَّهُۥ
rabbahu
his Lord
وَلَا
wala
and (let him) not
يَبۡخَسۡ
yabkhas
diminish
مِنۡهُ
min'hu
from it
شَيۡـٔٗاۚ
shayan
anything
فَإِن
fa-in
Then if
كَانَ
kana
is
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
the one
عَلَيۡهِ
alayhi
on him
ٱلۡحَقُّ
al-haqu
(is) the right
سَفِيهًا
safihan
(of) limited understanding
أَوۡ
aw
or
ضَعِيفًا
da'ifan
weak
أَوۡ
aw
or
لَا
la
not
يَسۡتَطِيعُ
yastati'u
capable
أَن
an
that
يُمِلَّ
yumilla
(can) dictate
هُوَ
huwa
he
فَلۡيُمۡلِلۡ
falyum'lil
then let dictate
وَلِيُّهُۥ
waliyyuhu
his guardian
بِٱلۡعَدۡلِۚ
bil-'adli
with justice
وَٱسۡتَشۡهِدُواْ
wa-is'tashhidu
And call for evidence
شَهِيدَيۡنِ
shahidayni
two witnesses
مِن
min
among
رِّجَالِكُمۡۖ
rijalikum
your men
فَإِن
fa-in
And if
لَّمۡ
lam
not
يَكُونَا
yakuna
there are
رَجُلَيۡنِ
rajulayni
two men
فَرَجُلٞ
farajulun
then one man
وَٱمۡرَأَتَانِ
wa-im'ra-atani
and two women
مِمَّن
mimman
of whom
تَرۡضَوۡنَ
tardawna
you agree
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلشُّهَدَآءِ
al-shuhadai
[the] witnesses
أَن
an
(so) that (if)
تَضِلَّ
tadilla
[she] errs
إِحۡدَىٰهُمَا
ih'dahuma
one of the two
فَتُذَكِّرَ
fatudhakkira
then will remind
إِحۡدَىٰهُمَا
ih'dahuma
one of the two
ٱلۡأُخۡرَىٰۚ
al-ukh'ra
the other
وَلَا
wala
And not
يَأۡبَ
yaba
(should) refuse
ٱلشُّهَدَآءُ
al-shuhadau
the witnesses
إِذَا
idha
when
مَا
ma
that
دُعُواْۚ
du'u
they are called
وَلَا
wala
And not
تَسۡـَٔمُوٓاْ
tasamu
(be) weary
أَن
an
that
تَكۡتُبُوهُ
taktubuhu
you write it
صَغِيرًا
saghiran
small
أَوۡ
aw
or
كَبِيرًا
kabiran
large
إِلَىٰٓ
ila
for
أَجَلِهِۦۚ
ajalihi
its term
ذَٰلِكُمۡ
dhalikum
That
أَقۡسَطُ
aqsatu
(is) more just
عِندَ
inda
near
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
وَأَقۡوَمُ
wa-aqwamu
and more upright
لِلشَّهَٰدَةِ
lilshahadati
for evidence
وَأَدۡنَىٰٓ
wa-adna
and nearer
أَلَّا
alla
that not
تَرۡتَابُوٓاْ
tartabu
you (have) doubt
إِلَّآ
illa
except
أَن
an
that
تَكُونَ
takuna
be
تِجَٰرَةً
tijaratan
a transaction
حَاضِرَةٗ
hadiratan
present
تُدِيرُونَهَا
tudirunaha
you carry out
بَيۡنَكُمۡ
baynakum
among you
فَلَيۡسَ
falaysa
then not
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
alaykum
on you
جُنَاحٌ
junahun
any sin
أَلَّا
alla
that not
تَكۡتُبُوهَاۗ
taktubuha
you write it
وَأَشۡهِدُوٓاْ
wa-ashhidu
And take witness
إِذَا
idha
when
تَبَايَعۡتُمۡۚ
tabaya'tum
you make commercial transaction
وَلَا
wala
And not
يُضَآرَّ
yudarra
(should) be harmed
كَاتِبٞ
katibun
(the) scribe
وَلَا
wala
and not
شَهِيدٞۚ
shahidun
(the) witness
وَإِن
wa-in
and if
تَفۡعَلُواْ
taf 'alu
you do
فَإِنَّهُۥ
fa-innahu
then indeed it
فُسُوقُۢ
fusuqun
(is) sinful conduct
بِكُمۡۗ
bikum
for you
وَٱتَّقُواْ
wa-ittaqu
and fear
ٱللَّهَۖ
al-laha
Allah
وَيُعَلِّمُكُمُ
wayu'allimukumu
And teaches
ٱللَّهُۗ
al-lahu
Allah
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
بِكُلِّ
bikulli
of every
شَيۡءٍ
shayin
thing
عَلِيمٞ
alimun
(is) All-Knower
