30:54
۞ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
(is) the One Who
خَلَقَكُم
khalaqakum
created you
مِّن
min
from
ضَعۡفٖ
da'fin
weakness
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
جَعَلَ
ja'ala
made
مِنۢ
min
after
بَعۡدِ
ba'di
after
ضَعۡفٖ
da'fin
weakness
قُوَّةٗ
quwwatan
strength
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
جَعَلَ
ja'ala
made
مِنۢ
min
after
بَعۡدِ
ba'di
after
قُوَّةٖ
quwwatin
strength
ضَعۡفٗا
da'fan
weakness
وَشَيۡبَةٗۚ
washaybatan
and gray hair
يَخۡلُقُ
yakhluqu
He creates
مَا
ma
what
يَشَآءُۚ
yashau
He wills
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and He
ٱلۡعَلِيمُ
al-'alimu
(is) the All-Knower
ٱلۡقَدِيرُ
al-qadiru
the All-Powerful
٥٤
30:55
وَيَوۡمَ
wayawma
And (the) Day
تَقُومُ
taqumu
will (be) established
ٱلسَّاعَةُ
al-sa'atu
the Hour
يُقۡسِمُ
yuq'simu
will swear
ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ
al-muj'rimuna
the criminals
مَا
ma
not
لَبِثُواْ
labithu
they remained
غَيۡرَ
ghayra
but
سَاعَةٖۚ
sa'atin
an hour
كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhalika
Thus
كَانُواْ
kanu
they were
يُؤۡفَكُونَ
yu'fakuna
deluded
٥٥
30:56
وَقَالَ
waqala
But will say
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
أُوتُواْ
utu
were given
ٱلۡعِلۡمَ
al-'il'ma
the knowledge
وَٱلۡإِيمَٰنَ
wal-imana
and the faith
لَقَدۡ
laqad
Verily
لَبِثۡتُمۡ
labith'tum
you remained
فِي
fi
by
كِتَٰبِ
kitabi
(the) Decree
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
إِلَىٰ
ila
until
يَوۡمِ
yawmi
(the) Day
ٱلۡبَعۡثِۖ
al-ba'thi
(of) Resurrection
فَهَٰذَا
fahadha
And this
يَوۡمُ
yawmu
(is the) Day
ٱلۡبَعۡثِ
al-ba'thi
(of) the Resurrection
وَلَٰكِنَّكُمۡ
walakinnakum
but you
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
were
لَا
la
not
تَعۡلَمُونَ
ta'lamuna
knowing
٥٦
30:57
فَيَوۡمَئِذٖ
fayawma-idhin
So that Day
لَّا
la
not
يَنفَعُ
yanfa'u
will profit
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
ظَلَمُواْ
zalamu
wronged
مَعۡذِرَتُهُمۡ
ma'dhiratuhum
their excuses
وَلَا
wala
and not
هُمۡ
hum
they
يُسۡتَعۡتَبُونَ
yus'ta'tabuna
will be allowed to make amends
٥٧
30:58
وَلَقَدۡ
walaqad
And verily
ضَرَبۡنَا
darabna
We (have) set forth
لِلنَّاسِ
lilnnasi
for mankind
فِي
fi
in
هَٰذَا
hadha
this
ٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ
al-qur'ani
[the] Quran
مِن
min
of
كُلِّ
kulli
every
مَثَلٖۚ
mathalin
example
وَلَئِن
wala-in
But if
جِئۡتَهُم
ji'tahum
you bring them
بِـَٔايَةٖ
biayatin
a sign
لَّيَقُولَنَّ
layaqulanna
surely will say
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
كَفَرُوٓاْ
kafaru
disbelieve
إِنۡ
in
Not
أَنتُمۡ
antum
you
إِلَّا
illa
(are) except
مُبۡطِلُونَ
mub'tiluna
falsifiers
٥٨
30:59
كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhalika
Thus
يَطۡبَعُ
yatba'u
Allah seals
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah seals
عَلَىٰ
ala
[on]
قُلُوبِ
qulubi
(the) hearts
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
(of) those who
لَا
la
(do) not
يَعۡلَمُونَ
ya'lamuna
know
٥٩
30:60
فَٱصۡبِرۡ
fa-is'bir
So be patient
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
وَعۡدَ
wa'da
(the) Promise
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
حَقّٞۖ
haqqun
(is) true
وَلَا
wala
And (let) not
يَسۡتَخِفَّنَّكَ
yastakhiffannaka
take you in light estimation
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
لَا
la
(are) not
يُوقِنُونَ
yuqinuna
certain in faith

Alif Lam Meem
١
31:2
تِلۡكَ
til'ka
These
ءَايَٰتُ
ayatu
(are) Verses
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
al-kitabi
(of) the Book
ٱلۡحَكِيمِ
al-hakimi
the Wise
٢
31:3
هُدٗى
hudan
A guidance
وَرَحۡمَةٗ
warahmatan
and a mercy
لِّلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ
lil'muh'sinina
for the good-doers
٣
31:4
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
Those who
يُقِيمُونَ
yuqimuna
establish
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
al-salata
the prayer
وَيُؤۡتُونَ
wayu'tuna
and give
ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ
al-zakata
zakah
وَهُم
wahum
and they
بِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
bil-akhirati
in the Hereafter
هُمۡ
hum
[they]
يُوقِنُونَ
yuqinuna
believe firmly
٤
31:5
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ulaika
Those
عَلَىٰ
ala
(are) on
هُدٗى
hudan
guidance
مِّن
min
from
رَّبِّهِمۡۖ
rabbihim
their Lord
وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
wa-ulaika
and those
هُمُ
humu
[they]
ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ
al-muf'lihuna
(are) the successful
٥
31:6
وَمِنَ
wamina
And of
ٱلنَّاسِ
al-nasi
the mankind
مَن
man
(is he) who
يَشۡتَرِي
yashtari
purchases
لَهۡوَ
lahwa
idle tales
ٱلۡحَدِيثِ
al-hadithi
idle tales
لِيُضِلَّ
liyudilla
to mislead
عَن
an
from
سَبِيلِ
sabili
(the) path
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
بِغَيۡرِ
bighayri
without
عِلۡمٖ
il'min
knowledge
وَيَتَّخِذَهَا
wayattakhidhaha
and takes it
هُزُوًاۚ
huzuwan
(in) ridicule
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ulaika
Those
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
عَذَابٞ
adhabun
(is) a punishment
مُّهِينٞ
muhinun
humiliating
٦
31:7
وَإِذَا
wa-idha
And when
تُتۡلَىٰ
tut'la
are recited
عَلَيۡهِ
alayhi
to him
ءَايَٰتُنَا
ayatuna
Our Verses
وَلَّىٰ
walla
he turns away
مُسۡتَكۡبِرٗا
mus'takbiran
arrogantly
كَأَن
ka-an
as if
لَّمۡ
lam
not
يَسۡمَعۡهَا
yasma'ha
he (had) heard them
كَأَنَّ
ka-anna
as if
فِيٓ
fi
in
أُذُنَيۡهِ
udhunayhi
his ears
وَقۡرٗاۖ
waqran
(is) deafness
فَبَشِّرۡهُ
fabashir'hu
So give him tidings
بِعَذَابٍ
bi'adhabin
of a punishment
أَلِيمٍ
alimin
painful
٧
31:8
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe
وَعَمِلُواْ
wa'amilu
and do
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
al-salihati
righteous deeds
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
جَنَّٰتُ
jannatu
(are) Gardens
ٱلنَّعِيمِ
al-na'imi
(of) Delight
٨
31:9
خَٰلِدِينَ
khalidina
(To) abide forever
فِيهَاۖ
fiha
in it
وَعۡدَ
wa'da
(The) Promise of Allah
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(The) Promise of Allah
حَقّٗاۚ
haqqan
(is) true
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
And He
ٱلۡعَزِيزُ
al-'azizu
(is) the All-Mighty
ٱلۡحَكِيمُ
al-hakimu
the All-Wise
٩
31:10
خَلَقَ
khalaqa
He created
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
the heavens
بِغَيۡرِ
bighayri
without
عَمَدٖ
amadin
pillars
تَرَوۡنَهَاۖ
tarawnaha
that you see
وَأَلۡقَىٰ
wa-alqa
and has cast
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the earth
رَوَٰسِيَ
rawasiya
firm mountains
أَن
an
lest
تَمِيدَ
tamida
it (might) shake
بِكُمۡ
bikum
with you
وَبَثَّ
wabatha
and He dispersed
فِيهَا
fiha
in it
مِن
min
from
كُلِّ
kulli
every
دَآبَّةٖۚ
dabbatin
creature
وَأَنزَلۡنَا
wa-anzalna
And We sent down
مِنَ
mina
from
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
al-samai
the sky
مَآءٗ
maan
water
فَأَنۢبَتۡنَا
fa-anbatna
then We caused to grow
فِيهَا
fiha
therein
مِن
min
of
كُلِّ
kulli
every
زَوۡجٖ
zawjin
kind
كَرِيمٍ
karimin
noble
١٠
31:11
هَٰذَا
hadha
This
خَلۡقُ
khalqu
(is the) creation
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
فَأَرُونِي
fa-aruni
So show Me
مَاذَا
madha
what
خَلَقَ
khalaqa
have created
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those
مِن
min
besides Him
دُونِهِۦۚ
dunihi
besides Him
بَلِ
bali
Nay
ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
al-zalimuna
the wrongdoers
فِي
fi
(are) in
ضَلَٰلٖ
dalalin
error
مُّبِينٖ
mubinin
clear

31:12
وَلَقَدۡ
walaqad
And verily
ءَاتَيۡنَا
atayna
We gave
لُقۡمَٰنَ
luq'mana
Luqman
ٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ
al-hik'mata
the wisdom
أَنِ
ani
that
ٱشۡكُرۡ
ush'kur
Be grateful
لِلَّهِۚ
lillahi
to Allah
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
يَشۡكُرۡ
yashkur
(is) grateful
فَإِنَّمَا
fa-innama
then only
يَشۡكُرُ
yashkuru
he is grateful
لِنَفۡسِهِۦۖ
linafsihi
for himself
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
كَفَرَ
kafara
(is) ungrateful
فَإِنَّ
fa-inna
then indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
غَنِيٌّ
ghaniyyun
(is) Free of need
حَمِيدٞ
hamidun
Praiseworthy
١٢
31:13
وَإِذۡ
wa-idh
And when
قَالَ
qala
said
لُقۡمَٰنُ
luq'manu
Luqman
لِٱبۡنِهِۦ
li-ib'nihi
to his son
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
while he
يَعِظُهُۥ
ya'izuhu
(was) instructing him
يَٰبُنَيَّ
yabunayya
O my son
لَا
la
(Do) not
تُشۡرِكۡ
tush'rik
associate partners
بِٱللَّهِۖ
bil-lahi
with Allah
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلشِّرۡكَ
al-shir'ka
associating partners
لَظُلۡمٌ
lazul'mun
(is) surely an injustice
عَظِيمٞ
azimun
great
١٣
31:14
وَوَصَّيۡنَا
wawassayna
And We have enjoined
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ
al-insana
(upon) man
بِوَٰلِدَيۡهِ
biwalidayhi
for his parents
حَمَلَتۡهُ
hamalathu
carried him
أُمُّهُۥ
ummuhu
his mother
وَهۡنًا
wahnan
(in) weakness
عَلَىٰ
ala
upon
وَهۡنٖ
wahnin
weakness
وَفِصَٰلُهُۥ
wafisaluhu
and his weaning
فِي
fi
(is) in
عَامَيۡنِ
amayni
two years
أَنِ
ani
that
ٱشۡكُرۡ
ush'kur
Be grateful
لِي
li
to Me
وَلِوَٰلِدَيۡكَ
waliwalidayka
and to your parents
إِلَيَّ
ilayya
towards Me
ٱلۡمَصِيرُ
al-masiru
(is) the destination
١٤
31:15
وَإِن
wa-in
But if
جَٰهَدَاكَ
jahadaka
they strive against you
عَلَىٰٓ
ala
on
أَن
an
that
تُشۡرِكَ
tush'rika
you associate partners
بِي
bi
with Me
مَا
ma
what
لَيۡسَ
laysa
not
لَكَ
laka
you have
بِهِۦ
bihi
of it
عِلۡمٞ
il'mun
any knowledge
فَلَا
fala
then (do) not
تُطِعۡهُمَاۖ
tuti'huma
obey both of them
وَصَاحِبۡهُمَا
wasahib'huma
But accompany them
فِي
fi
in
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
al-dun'ya
the world
مَعۡرُوفٗاۖ
ma'rufan
(with) kindness
وَٱتَّبِعۡ
wa-ittabi'
and follow
سَبِيلَ
sabila
(the) path
مَنۡ
man
(of him) who
أَنَابَ
anaba
turns
إِلَيَّۚ
ilayya
to Me
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
إِلَيَّ
ilayya
towards Me
مَرۡجِعُكُمۡ
marji'ukum
(is) your return
فَأُنَبِّئُكُم
fa-unabbi-ukum
then I will inform you
بِمَا
bima
of what
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
you used (to)
تَعۡمَلُونَ
ta'maluna
do
١٥
31:16
يَٰبُنَيَّ
yabunayya
O my son
إِنَّهَآ
innaha
Indeed it
إِن
in
if
تَكُ
taku
it be
مِثۡقَالَ
mith'qala
(the) weight
حَبَّةٖ
habbatin
(of) a grain
مِّنۡ
min
of
خَرۡدَلٖ
khardalin
a mustard seed
فَتَكُن
fatakun
and it be
فِي
fi
in
صَخۡرَةٍ
sakhratin
a rock
أَوۡ
aw
or
فِي
fi
in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
the heavens
أَوۡ
aw
or
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the earth
يَأۡتِ
yati
Allah will bring it forth
بِهَا
biha
Allah will bring it forth
ٱللَّهُۚ
al-lahu
Allah will bring it forth
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
لَطِيفٌ
latifun
(is) All-Subtle
خَبِيرٞ
khabirun
All-Aware
١٦
31:17
يَٰبُنَيَّ
yabunayya
O my son
أَقِمِ
aqimi
Establish
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
al-salata
the prayer
وَأۡمُرۡ
wamur
and enjoin
بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ
bil-ma'rufi
[with] the right
وَٱنۡهَ
wa-in'ha
and forbid
عَنِ
ani
from
ٱلۡمُنكَرِ
al-munkari
the wrong
وَٱصۡبِرۡ
wa-is'bir
and be patient
عَلَىٰ
ala
over
مَآ
ma
what
أَصَابَكَۖ
asabaka
befalls you
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
that
مِنۡ
min
(is) of
عَزۡمِ
azmi
the matters requiring determination
ٱلۡأُمُورِ
al-umuri
the matters requiring determination
١٧
31:18
وَلَا
wala
And (do) not
تُصَعِّرۡ
tusa'ir
turn
خَدَّكَ
khaddaka
your cheek
لِلنَّاسِ
lilnnasi
from men
وَلَا
wala
and (do) not
تَمۡشِ
tamshi
walk
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the earth
مَرَحًاۖ
marahan
exultantly
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
لَا
la
(does) not
يُحِبُّ
yuhibbu
like
كُلَّ
kulla
every
مُخۡتَالٖ
mukh'talin
self-conceited
فَخُورٖ
fakhurin
boaster
١٨
