29:26

۞فَـَٔامَنَ

Faʹaamana

And believed

لَهُۥ

lahoo

[in] him

لُوطٞۘ

Looṭ.

Lut

وَقَالَ

Wa-q̣aala

and he said

إِنِّي

ʹinnee

Indeed I (am)

مُهَاجِرٌ

muhaajirun

emigrating

إِلَىٰ

ʹilaa

رَبِّيٓۖ

Rabbee;

my Lord

إِنَّهُۥ

ʹinnahoo

Indeed He

هُوَ

Huwal

[He] (is)

ٱلۡعَزِيزُ

ʻAzeezul

the All-Mighty

ٱلۡحَكِيمُ

Ḥakeem.

the All-Wise

٢٦

29:27

وَوَهَبۡنَا

Wa-wahabnaa

And We granted

لَهُۥٓ

lahooo

to him

إِسۡحَٰقَ

ʹIs-ḥaaq̣a

Isaac

وَيَعۡقُوبَ

wa-Yaʻq̣ooba

and Yaqub

وَجَعَلۡنَا

wa-jaʻalnaa

and We placed

فِي

fee

ذُرِّيَّتِهِ

ẓurriyyatihin

his offsprings

ٱلنُّبُوَّةَ

Nubuwwata

the Prophethood

وَٱلۡكِتَٰبَ

wal-Kitaaba

and the Book

وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُ

wa-ʹaataynaahu

And We gave him

أَجۡرَهُۥ

ʹajrahoo

his reward

فِي

fid

ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ

dunyaa;

the world

وَإِنَّهُۥ

wa-ʹinnahoo

And indeed he

فِي

fil

ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ

ʹAakhirati

the Hereafter

لَمِنَ

laminaṣ

(is) surely among

ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

Ṣaaliḥeen:

the righteous

٢٧

29:28

وَلُوطًا

Wa-Looṭan

And Lut

إِذۡ

ʹiẓ

when

قَالَ

q̣aala

he said

لِقَوۡمِهِۦٓ

liq̣awmiheee

to his people

إِنَّكُمۡ

ʹinnakum

Indeed you

لَتَأۡتُونَ

lataʹtoonal

commit

ٱلۡفَٰحِشَةَ

faaḥishata

the immorality

مَا

maa-

not

سَبَقَكُم

sabaq̣akum̃

has preceded you

بِهَا

bihaa

with it

مِنۡ

min

any

أَحَدٖ

ʹaḥadim

one

مِّنَ

minal

from

ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

ʻAalameen.

the worlds

٢٨

29:29

أَئِنَّكُمۡ

ʹAʹinnakum

Indeed you

لَتَأۡتُونَ

lataʹtoonar

approach

ٱلرِّجَالَ

rijaala

the men

وَتَقۡطَعُونَ

wa-taq̣ṭaʻoonas

and you cut off

ٱلسَّبِيلَ

sabeel?

the road

وَتَأۡتُونَ

Wa-taʹtoona

and commit

فِي

fee

نَادِيكُمُ

naadeekumul

your meetings

ٱلۡمُنكَرَۖ

muñkar?

evil

فَمَا

Famaa

And not

كَانَ

kaana

was

جَوَابَ

jawaaba

(the) answer

قَوۡمِهِۦٓ

q̣awmiheee

(of) his people

إِلَّآ

ʹillaaa

except

أَن

ʹañ

that

قَالُواْ

q̣aaluʹ

they said

ٱئۡتِنَا

tinaa

Bring upon us

بِعَذَابِ

biʻAẓaabil

(the) punishment

ٱللَّهِ

laahi

(of) Allah

إِن

ʹiñ

كُنتَ

kuñta

you are

مِنَ

minaṣ

ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ

ṣaadiq̣een.

the truthful

٢٩

29:30

قَالَ

Q̣aala

He said

رَبِّ

Rabbiñ

My Lord

ٱنصُرۡنِي

ṣurnee

Help me

عَلَى

ʻalal

against

ٱلۡقَوۡمِ

q̣awmil

the people

ٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَ

mufsideen!

the corrupters

29:31

وَلَمَّا

Wa-lammaa

And when

جَآءَتۡ

jaaaʹat

came

رُسُلُنَآ

Rusulunaaa

Our messengers

إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ

ʹIbraaheema

(to) Ibrahim

بِٱلۡبُشۡرَىٰ

bil-bushraa

with the glad tidings

قَالُوٓاْ

q̣aalooo

they said

إِنَّا

ʹinnaa

Indeed we

مُهۡلِكُوٓاْ

muhlikooo

(are) going to destroy

أَهۡلِ

ʹahli

(the) people

هَٰذِهِ

haaẓihil

(of) this

ٱلۡقَرۡيَةِۖ

q̣aryah:

town

إِنَّ

ʹinna

Indeed

أَهۡلَهَا

ʹahlahaa

its people

كَانُواْ

kaanoo

are

ظَٰلِمِينَ

z̤̣aalimeen.

wrongdoers

٣١

29:32

قَالَ

Q̣aala

He said

إِنَّ

ʹinna

Indeed

فِيهَا

feeha

in it

لُوطٗاۚ

Looṭaa.

(is) Lut

قَالُواْ

Q̣aaloo

They said

نَحۡنُ

naḥnu

أَعۡلَمُ

ʹaʻlamu

know better

بِمَن

bimañ

who

فِيهَاۖ

feehaa.

(is) in it

لَنُنَجِّيَنَّهُۥ

Lanunajjiyannahoo

We will surely save him

وَأَهۡلَهُۥٓ

wa-ʹahlahooo

and his family

إِلَّا

ʹillam

except

ٱمۡرَأَتَهُۥ

raʹatahoo

his wife

كَانَتۡ

kaanat

She

مِنَ

minal

(is) of

ٱلۡغَٰبِرِينَ

g̣aabireen!

those who remain behind

٣٢

29:33

وَلَمَّآ

Wa-lammaaa

And when

أَن

ʹañ

[that]

جَآءَتۡ

jaaaʹat

came

رُسُلُنَا

Rusulunaa

Our messengers

لُوطٗا

Looṭañ

(to) Lut

سِيٓءَ

seeeʹa

he was distressed

بِهِمۡ

bihim

for them

وَضَاقَ

wa-ḍaaq̣a

and felt straitened

بِهِمۡ

bihim

for them

ذَرۡعٗاۖ

ẓarʻañw

(and) uneasy

وَقَالُواْ

waq̣aaloo

And they said

لَا

laa-

(Do) not

تَخَفۡ

takhaf

fear

وَلَا

wa-laa

and (do) not

تَحۡزَنۡ

taḥzan:

grieve

إِنَّا

ʹinnaa

Indeed we

مُنَجُّوكَ

munajjooka

(will) save you

وَأَهۡلَكَ

wa-ʹahlaka

and your family

إِلَّا

ʹillam

except

ٱمۡرَأَتَكَ

raʹataka

your wife

كَانَتۡ

kaanat

She

مِنَ

minal

(is) of

ٱلۡغَٰبِرِينَ

g̣aabireen.

those who remain behind

٣٣

29:34

إِنَّا

ʹInnaa

Indeed we

مُنزِلُونَ

muñziloona

(will) bring down

عَلَىٰٓ

ʻalaaa

أَهۡلِ

ʹahli

(the) people

هَٰذِهِ

Haaẓihil

(of) this

ٱلۡقَرۡيَةِ

q̣aryati

town

رِجۡزٗا

Rijzam

a punishment

مِّنَ

minas

from

ٱلسَّمَآءِ

samaaaʹi

(the) sky

بِمَا

bimaa

because

كَانُواْ

kaanoo

they have been

يَفۡسُقُونَ

yafsuq̣oon.

defiantly disobedient

٣٤

29:35

وَلَقَد

Wa-laq̣at

And verily

تَّرَكۡنَا

taraknaa

We have left

مِنۡهَآ

min-haaa

about it

ءَايَةَۢ

ʹAayatam

a sign

بَيِّنَةٗ

bayyinatal

(as) evidence

لِّقَوۡمٖ

liq̣awmiñy

for a people

يَعۡقِلُونَ

yaʻq̣iloon.

who use reason

٣٥

29:36

وَإِلَىٰ

Wa-ʹilaa

And to

مَدۡيَنَ

Madyana

Madyan

أَخَاهُمۡ

ʹakhaahum

their brother

شُعَيۡبٗا

shuʻaybañ

Shuaib

فَقَالَ

faq̣aala

And he said

يَٰقَوۡمِ

yaa-q̣awmiʻ

O my people

ٱعۡبُدُواْ

budul

Worship

ٱللَّهَ

laaha

Allah

وَٱرۡجُواْ

warjul

and expect

ٱلۡيَوۡمَ

Yawmal

the Day

ٱلۡأٓخِرَ

ʹAakhira

the Last

وَلَا

wa-laa

and (do) not

تَعۡثَوۡاْ

taʻs̤aw

commit evil

فِي

fil

ٱلۡأَرۡضِ

ʹarḍi

the earth

مُفۡسِدِينَ

mufsideen.

(as) corrupters

٣٦

29:37

فَكَذَّبُوهُ

Fakaẓẓaboohu

But they denied him

فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ

faʹakhaẓathumur

so seized them

ٱلرَّجۡفَةُ

rajfatu

the earthquake

فَأَصۡبَحُواْ

faʹaṣbaḥoo

and they became

فِي

fee

دَارِهِمۡ

daarihim

their home

جَٰثِمِينَ

jaas̤imeen.

fallen prone

٣٧

29:38

وَعَادٗا

Wa-ʻAadañw

And Aad

وَثَمُودَاْ

Wa-S̤amooda

and Thamud

وَقَد

waq̣at

and verily

تَّبَيَّنَ

tabayyana

(has) become clear

لَكُم

lakum

to you

مِّن

mim

from

مَّسَٰكِنِهِمۡۖ

masaakinihim.

their dwellings

وَزَيَّنَ

Wa-zayyana

And made fair-seeming

لَهُمُ

lahumush

to them

ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ

Shayṭaanu

the Shaitaan

أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ

ʹaʻmaalahum

their deeds

فَصَدَّهُمۡ

faṣaddahum

and averted them

عَنِ

ʻanis

from

ٱلسَّبِيلِ

Sabeeli

the Way

وَكَانُواْ

wa-kaanoo

though they were

مُسۡتَبۡصِرِينَ

Mustabṣireen.

endowed with insight

29:39

وَقَٰرُونَ

Wa-Q̣aaroona

And Qarun

وَفِرۡعَوۡنَ

wa-Firʻawna

and Firaun

وَهَٰمَٰنَۖ

wa-Haamaan:

and Haman

وَلَقَدۡ

wa-laq̣ad

And certainly

جَآءَهُم

jaaaʹahum

came to them

مُّوسَىٰ

Moosaa

Musa

بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ

bil-Bayyinaati

with clear evidences

فَٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْ

fastakbaroo

but they were arrogant

فِي

fil

ٱلۡأَرۡضِ

ʹarḍi

the earth

وَمَا

wa-maa

and not

كَانُواْ

kaanoo

they could

سَٰبِقِينَ

saabiq̣een.

outstrip Us

٣٩

29:40

فَكُلًّا

Fakullan

So each

أَخَذۡنَا

ʹakhaẓnaa

We seized

بِذَنۢبِهِۦۖ

biẓambih:

for his sin

فَمِنۡهُم

faminhum

Then of them

مَّنۡ

man

(was he) who

أَرۡسَلۡنَا

ʹarsalnaa

We sent

عَلَيۡهِ

ʻalayhi

on him

حَاصِبٗا

ḥaaṣibaa;

a violent storm

وَمِنۡهُم

wa-minhum

and of them

مَّنۡ

man

(was he) who

أَخَذَتۡهُ

ʹakhaẓathuṣ

seized him

ٱلصَّيۡحَةُ

Ṣayḥah;

the awful cry

وَمِنۡهُم

wa-minhum

and of them

مَّنۡ

man

(was he) who

خَسَفۡنَا

khasafnaa

We caused to swallow

بِهِ

bihil

him

ٱلۡأَرۡضَ

ʹarḍ:

the earth

وَمِنۡهُم

wa-minhum

and of them

مَّنۡ

man

(was he) who

أَغۡرَقۡنَاۚ

ʹag̣raq̣naa:

We drowned

وَمَا

wa-maa

And not

كَانَ

kaanal

was

ٱللَّهُ

laahu

Allah

لِيَظۡلِمَهُمۡ

liyaz̤̣limahum

to wrong them

وَلَٰكِن

wa-laakiñ

but

كَانُوٓاْ

kaanooo

they were

أَنفُسَهُمۡ

ʹañfusahum

themselves

يَظۡلِمُونَ

yaz̤̣limoon.

doing wrong

٤٠

29:41

مَثَلُ

Mas̤alul

(The) example

ٱلَّذِينَ

laẓeenat

(of) those who

ٱتَّخَذُواْ

takhaẓoo

take

مِن

miñ

besides

دُونِ

doonil

besides

ٱللَّهِ

laahi

Allah

أَوۡلِيَآءَ

ʹawliyaaaʹa

protectors

كَمَثَلِ

kamas̤alil

(is) like

ٱلۡعَنكَبُوتِ

ʻAñkaboot:

the spider

ٱتَّخَذَتۡ

ʹittakhaẓat

who takes

بَيۡتٗاۖ

baytaa!

a house

وَإِنَّ

Wa-ʹinna

And indeed

أَوۡهَنَ

ʹawhanal

the weakest

ٱلۡبُيُوتِ

buyooti

(of) houses

لَبَيۡتُ

labaytul

(is) surely (the) house

ٱلۡعَنكَبُوتِۚ

ʻAñkaboot.

(of) the spider

لَوۡ

Law

if (only)

كَانُواْ

kaanoo

they

يَعۡلَمُونَ

yaʻlamoon.

know

٤١

29:42

إِنَّ

ʹInnal

Indeed

ٱللَّهَ

laaha

Allah

يَعۡلَمُ

yaʻlamu

knows

مَا

maa-

what

يَدۡعُونَ

yadʻoona

they invoke

مِن

miñ

besides Him

دُونِهِۦ

doonihee

besides Him

مِن

miñ

any

شَيۡءٖۚ

shayʹ:

thing

وَهُوَ

wa-Huwal

And He

ٱلۡعَزِيزُ

ʻAzeezul

(is) the All-Mighty

ٱلۡحَكِيمُ

Ḥakeem.

the All-Wise

٤٢

29:43

وَتِلۡكَ

Wa-tilkal

And these

ٱلۡأَمۡثَٰلُ

ʹAms̤aalu

examples

نَضۡرِبُهَا

naḍribuhaa

We set forth

لِلنَّاسِۖ

linnaasi

to mankind

وَمَا

wa-maa

but not

يَعۡقِلُهَآ

yaʻq̣iluhaaa

will understand them

إِلَّا

ʹillal

except

ٱلۡعَٰلِمُونَ

ʻAalimoon.

those of knowledge

٤٣

29:44

خَلَقَ

Khalaq̣al

Allah created

ٱللَّهُ

laahus

Allah created

ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ

samaawaati

the heavens

وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ

wal-ʹarḍa

and the earth

بِٱلۡحَقِّۚ

bilḥaq̣q̣.

in truth

إِنَّ

ʹInna

Indeed

فِي

fee

ذَٰلِكَ

ẓaalika

that

لَأٓيَةٗ

laʹAayatal

(is) surely a Sign

لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

lil-Muʹmineen.

for the believers

٤٤

29:45

ٱتۡلُ

ʹUtlu

Recite

مَآ

maaa

what

أُوحِيَ

ʹooḥiya

has been revealed

إِلَيۡكَ

ʹilayka

to you

مِنَ

minal

ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ

Kitaabi

the Book

وَأَقِمِ

wa-ʹaq̣imiṣ

and establish

ٱلصَّلَوٰةَۖ

Ṣalaah:

the prayer

إِنَّ

ʹinnaṣ

Indeed

ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ

Ṣalaata

the prayer

تَنۡهَىٰ

tanhaa

prevents

عَنِ

ʻanil

from

ٱلۡفَحۡشَآءِ

faḥshaaaʹi

the immorality

وَٱلۡمُنكَرِۗ

wal-muñkar;

and evil deeds

وَلَذِكۡرُ

wa-la-Ẓikrul

and surely (the) remembrance

ٱللَّهِ

laahi

(of) Allah

أَكۡبَرُۗ

ʹAkbar.

(is) greatest

وَٱللَّهُ

Wal-laahu

And Allah

يَعۡلَمُ

yaʻlamu

knows

مَا

maa-

what

تَصۡنَعُونَ

taṣnaʻoon.

you do
