One of the 240 subdivisions of the Quran (quarter of a Hizb)

27:82
۞وَإِذَا
wa-idha
And when
وَقَعَ
waqa'a
(is) fulfilled
ٱلۡقَوۡلُ
al-qawlu
the word
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
alayhim
against them
أَخۡرَجۡنَا
akhrajna
We will bring forth
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
دَآبَّةٗ
dabbatan
a creature
مِّنَ
mina
from
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the earth
تُكَلِّمُهُمۡ
tukallimuhum
speaking to them
أَنَّ
anna
that
ٱلنَّاسَ
al-nasa
the people
كَانُواْ
kanu
were
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
biayatina
of Our Signs
لَا
la
not
يُوقِنُونَ
yuqinuna
certain
٨٢
27:83
وَيَوۡمَ
wayawma
And (the) Day
نَحۡشُرُ
nahshuru
We will gather
مِن
min
from
كُلِّ
kulli
every
أُمَّةٖ
ummatin
nation
فَوۡجٗا
fawjan
a troop
مِّمَّن
mimman
of (those) who
يُكَذِّبُ
yukadhibu
deny
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
biayatina
Our Signs
فَهُمۡ
fahum
and they
يُوزَعُونَ
yuza'una
will be set in rows
٨٣
27:84
حَتَّىٰٓ
hatta
Until
إِذَا
idha
when
جَآءُو
jau
they come
قَالَ
qala
He will say
أَكَذَّبۡتُم
akadhabtum
Did you deny
بِـَٔايَٰتِي
biayati
My Signs
وَلَمۡ
walam
while not
تُحِيطُواْ
tuhitu
you encompassed
بِهَا
biha
them
عِلۡمًا
il'man
(in) knowledge
أَمَّاذَا
ammadha
or what
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
you used (to)
تَعۡمَلُونَ
ta'maluna
do
٨٤
27:85
وَوَقَعَ
wawaqa'a
And (will be) fulfilled
ٱلۡقَوۡلُ
al-qawlu
the word
عَلَيۡهِم
alayhim
against them
بِمَا
bima
because
ظَلَمُواْ
zalamu
they wronged
فَهُمۡ
fahum
and they
لَا
la
(will) not
يَنطِقُونَ
yantiquna
speak
٨٥
27:86
أَلَمۡ
alam
Do not
يَرَوۡاْ
yaraw
they see
أَنَّا
anna
that We
جَعَلۡنَا
ja'alna
[We] have made
ٱلَّيۡلَ
al-layla
the night
لِيَسۡكُنُواْ
liyaskunu
that they may rest
فِيهِ
fihi
in it
وَٱلنَّهَارَ
wal-nahara
and the day
مُبۡصِرًاۚ
mub'siran
giving visibility
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
فِي
fi
in
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
that
لَأٓيَٰتٖ
laayatin
surely (are) Signs
لِّقَوۡمٖ
liqawmin
for a people
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yu'minuna
who believe
٨٦
27:87
وَيَوۡمَ
wayawma
And (the) Day
يُنفَخُ
yunfakhu
will be blown
فِي
fi
[in]
ٱلصُّورِ
al-suri
the trumpet
فَفَزِعَ
fafazi'a
and will be terrified
مَن
man
whoever
فِي
fi
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
the heavens
وَمَن
waman
and whoever
فِي
fi
(is) in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the earth
إِلَّا
illa
except
مَن
man
whom
شَآءَ
shaa
Allah wills
ٱللَّهُۚ
al-lahu
Allah wills
وَكُلٌّ
wakullun
And all
أَتَوۡهُ
atawhu
(will) come to Him
دَٰخِرِينَ
dakhirina
humbled
٨٧
27:88
وَتَرَى
watara
And you see
ٱلۡجِبَالَ
al-jibala
the mountains
تَحۡسَبُهَا
tahsabuha
thinking them
جَامِدَةٗ
jamidatan
firmly fixed
وَهِيَ
wahiya
while they
تَمُرُّ
tamurru
will pass
مَرَّ
marra
(as the) passing
ٱلسَّحَابِۚ
al-sahabi
(of) the clouds
صُنۡعَ
sun'a
(The) Work
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
ٱلَّذِيٓ
alladhi
Who
أَتۡقَنَ
atqana
perfected
كُلَّ
kulla
all
شَيۡءٍۚ
shayin
things
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed He
خَبِيرُۢ
khabirun
(is) All-Aware
بِمَا
bima
of what
تَفۡعَلُونَ
taf 'aluna
you do

27:89
مَن
man
Whoever
جَآءَ
jaa
comes
بِٱلۡحَسَنَةِ
bil-hasanati
with the good
فَلَهُۥ
falahu
then for him
خَيۡرٞ
khayrun
(will be) better
مِّنۡهَا
min'ha
than it
وَهُم
wahum
and they
مِّن
min
from
فَزَعٖ
faza'in
(the) terror
يَوۡمَئِذٍ
yawma-idhin
(of) that Day
ءَامِنُونَ
aminuna
(will be) safe
٨٩
27:90
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
جَآءَ
jaa
comes
بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ
bil-sayi-ati
with the evil
فَكُبَّتۡ
fakubbat
will be cast down
وُجُوهُهُمۡ
wujuhuhum
their faces
فِي
fi
in
ٱلنَّارِ
al-nari
the Fire
هَلۡ
hal
Are
تُجۡزَوۡنَ
tuj'zawna
you recompensed
إِلَّا
illa
except
مَا
ma
(for) what
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
you used (to)
تَعۡمَلُونَ
ta'maluna
do
٩٠
27:91
إِنَّمَآ
innama
Only
أُمِرۡتُ
umir'tu
I am commanded
أَنۡ
an
that
أَعۡبُدَ
a'buda
I worship
رَبَّ
rabba
(the) Lord
هَٰذِهِ
hadhihi
(of) this
ٱلۡبَلۡدَةِ
al-baldati
city
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
the One Who
حَرَّمَهَا
harramaha
made it sacred
وَلَهُۥ
walahu
and to Him (belongs)
كُلُّ
kullu
all
شَيۡءٖۖ
shayin
things
وَأُمِرۡتُ
wa-umir'tu
And I am commanded
أَنۡ
an
that
أَكُونَ
akuna
I be
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ
al-mus'limina
the Muslims
٩١
27:92
وَأَنۡ
wa-an
And that
أَتۡلُوَاْ
atluwa
I recite
ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَۖ
al-qur'ana
the Quran
فَمَنِ
famani
And whoever
ٱهۡتَدَىٰ
ih'tada
accepts guidance
فَإِنَّمَا
fa-innama
then only
يَهۡتَدِي
yahtadi
he accepts guidance
لِنَفۡسِهِۦۖ
linafsihi
for himself
وَمَن
waman
and whoever
ضَلَّ
dalla
goes astray
فَقُلۡ
faqul
then say
إِنَّمَآ
innama
Only
أَنَا۠
ana
I am
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡمُنذِرِينَ
al-mundhirina
the warners
٩٢
27:93
وَقُلِ
waquli
And say
ٱلۡحَمۡدُ
al-hamdu
All praise (be)
لِلَّهِ
lillahi
to Allah
سَيُرِيكُمۡ
sayurikum
He will show you
ءَايَٰتِهِۦ
ayatihi
His Signs
فَتَعۡرِفُونَهَاۚ
fata'rifunaha
and you will recognize them
وَمَا
wama
And your Lord is not
رَبُّكَ
rabbuka
And your Lord is not
بِغَٰفِلٍ
bighafilin
unaware
عَمَّا
amma
of what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
ta'maluna
you do
٩٣
28:1
طسٓمٓ
ta-seen-meem
Ta Seem Meem
١
28:2
تِلۡكَ
til'ka
These
ءَايَٰتُ
ayatu
(are the) Verses
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
al-kitabi
(of) the Book
ٱلۡمُبِينِ
al-mubini
the clear
٢
28:3
نَتۡلُواْ
natlu
We recite
عَلَيۡكَ
alayka
to you
مِن
min
from
نَّبَإِ
naba-i
(the) news
مُوسَىٰ
musa
(of) Musa
وَفِرۡعَوۡنَ
wafir'awna
and Firaun
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
bil-haqi
in truth
لِقَوۡمٖ
liqawmin
for a people
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yu'minuna
who believe
٣
28:4
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
فِرۡعَوۡنَ
fir'awna
Firaun
عَلَا
ala
exalted himself
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the land
وَجَعَلَ
waja'ala
and made
أَهۡلَهَا
ahlaha
its people
شِيَعٗا
shiya'an
(into) sects
يَسۡتَضۡعِفُ
yastad'ifu
oppressing
طَآئِفَةٗ
taifatan
a group
مِّنۡهُمۡ
min'hum
among them
يُذَبِّحُ
yudhabbihu
slaughtering
أَبۡنَآءَهُمۡ
abnaahum
their sons
وَيَسۡتَحۡيِۦ
wayastahyi
and letting live
نِسَآءَهُمۡۚ
nisaahum
their women
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed he
كَانَ
kana
was
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَ
al-muf'sidina
the corrupters
٤
28:5
وَنُرِيدُ
wanuridu
And We wanted
أَن
an
to
نَّمُنَّ
namunna
bestow a favor
عَلَى
ala
upon
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
ٱسۡتُضۡعِفُواْ
us'tud'ifu
were oppressed
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the land
وَنَجۡعَلَهُمۡ
wanaj'alahum
and make them
أَئِمَّةٗ
a-immatan
leaders
وَنَجۡعَلَهُمُ
wanaj'alahumu
and make them
ٱلۡوَٰرِثِينَ
al-warithina
the inheritors

وَنُمَكِّنَ
wanumakkina
And [We] establish
لَهُمۡ
lahum
them
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the land
وَنُرِيَ
wanuriya
and show
فِرۡعَوۡنَ
fir'awna
Firaun
وَهَٰمَٰنَ
wahamana
and Haman
وَجُنُودَهُمَا
wajunudahuma
and their hosts
مِنۡهُم
min'hum
through them
مَّا
ma
what
كَانُواْ
kanu
they were
يَحۡذَرُونَ
yahdharuna
fearing
٦
28:7
وَأَوۡحَيۡنَآ
wa-awhayna
And We inspired
إِلَىٰٓ
ila
[to]
أُمِّ
ummi
(the) mother
مُوسَىٰٓ
musa
(of) Musa
أَنۡ
an
that
أَرۡضِعِيهِۖ
ardi'ihi
Suckle him
فَإِذَا
fa-idha
but when
خِفۡتِ
khif'ti
you fear
عَلَيۡهِ
alayhi
for him
فَأَلۡقِيهِ
fa-alqihi
then cast him
فِي
fi
in(to)
ٱلۡيَمِّ
al-yami
the river
وَلَا
wala
and (do) not
تَخَافِي
takhafi
fear
وَلَا
wala
and (do) not
تَحۡزَنِيٓۖ
tahzani
grieve
إِنَّا
inna
Indeed We
رَآدُّوهُ
radduhu
(will) restore him
إِلَيۡكِ
ilayki
to you
وَجَاعِلُوهُ
waja'iluhu
and (will) make him
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ
al-mur'salina
the Messengers
٧
28:8
فَٱلۡتَقَطَهُۥٓ
fal-taqatahu
Then picked him up
ءَالُ
alu
(the) family
فِرۡعَوۡنَ
fir'awna
(of) Firaun
لِيَكُونَ
liyakuna
so that he might become
لَهُمۡ
lahum
to them
عَدُوّٗا
aduwwan
an enemy
وَحَزَنًاۗ
wahazanan
and a grief
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
فِرۡعَوۡنَ
fir'awna
Firaun
وَهَٰمَٰنَ
wahamana
and Haman
وَجُنُودَهُمَا
wajunudahuma
and their hosts
كَانُواْ
kanu
were
خَٰطِـِٔينَ
khatiina
sinners
٨
28:9
وَقَالَتِ
waqalati
And said
ٱمۡرَأَتُ
im'ra-atu
(the) wife
فِرۡعَوۡنَ
fir'awna
(of) Firaun
قُرَّتُ
qurratu
A comfort
عَيۡنٖ
aynin
(of the) eye
لِّي
li
for me
وَلَكَۖ
walaka
and for you
لَا
la
(Do) not
تَقۡتُلُوهُ
taqtuluhu
kill him
عَسَىٰٓ
asa
perhaps
أَن
an
(that)
يَنفَعَنَآ
yanfa'ana
he may benefit us
أَوۡ
aw
or
نَتَّخِذَهُۥ
nattakhidhahu
we may take him
وَلَدٗا
waladan
(as) a son
وَهُمۡ
wahum
And they
لَا
la
(did) not
يَشۡعُرُونَ
yash'uruna
perceive
٩
28:10
وَأَصۡبَحَ
wa-asbaha
And became
فُؤَادُ
fuadu
(the) heart
أُمِّ
ummi
(of the) mother
مُوسَىٰ
musa
(of) Musa
فَٰرِغًاۖ
farighan
empty
إِن
in
That
كَادَتۡ
kadat
she was near
لَتُبۡدِي
latub'di
(to) disclosing
بِهِۦ
bihi
about him
لَوۡلَآ
lawla
if not
أَن
an
that
رَّبَطۡنَا
rabatna
We strengthened
عَلَىٰ
ala
[over]
قَلۡبِهَا
qalbiha
her heart
لِتَكُونَ
litakuna
so that she would be
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
al-mu'minina
the believers
١٠
28:11
وَقَالَتۡ
waqalat
And she said
لِأُخۡتِهِۦ
li-ukh'tihi
to his sister
قُصِّيهِۖ
qussihi
Follow him
فَبَصُرَتۡ
fabasurat
So she watched
بِهِۦ
bihi
him
عَن
an
from
جُنُبٖ
junubin
a distance
وَهُمۡ
wahum
while they
لَا
la
(did) not
يَشۡعُرُونَ
yash'uruna
perceive
