27:1

طسٓۚ

ta-seen

Ta Seen

تِلۡكَ

til'ka

These

ءَايَٰتُ

ayatu

(are the) Verses

ٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ

al-qur'ani

(of) the Quran

وَكِتَابٖ

wakitabin

and a Book

مُّبِينٍ

mubinin

clear

27:2

هُدٗى

hudan

A guidance

وَبُشۡرَىٰ

wabush'ra

and glad tidings

لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

lil'mu'minina

for the believers

27:3

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhina

Those who

يُقِيمُونَ

yuqimuna

establish

ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ

al-salata

the prayer

وَيُؤۡتُونَ

wayu'tuna

and give

ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ

al-zakata

zakah

وَهُم

wahum

and they

بِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ

bil-akhirati

in the Hereafter

هُمۡ

hum

[they]

يُوقِنُونَ

yuqinuna

believe with certainty

27:4

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhina

those who

لَا

(do) not

يُؤۡمِنُونَ

yu'minuna

believe

بِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ

bil-akhirati

in the Hereafter

زَيَّنَّا

zayyanna

We have made fair-seeming

لَهُمۡ

lahum

to them

أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ

a'malahum

their deeds

فَهُمۡ

fahum

so they

يَعۡمَهُونَ

ya'mahuna

wander blindly

27:5

أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ

ulaika

Those

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhina

(are) the ones

لَهُمۡ

lahum

for them

سُوٓءُ

suu

(is) an evil

ٱلۡعَذَابِ

al-'adhabi

[the] punishment

وَهُمۡ

wahum

and they

فِي

ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ

al-akhirati

the Hereafter

هُمُ

humu

[they]

ٱلۡأَخۡسَرُونَ

al-akhsaruna

(will be) the greatest losers

27:6

وَإِنَّكَ

wa-innaka

And indeed you

لَتُلَقَّى

latulaqqa

surely receive

ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ

al-qur'ana

the Quran

مِن

min

from [near]

لَّدُنۡ

ladun

from [near]

حَكِيمٍ

hakimin

the All-Wise

عَلِيمٍ

alimin

the All-Knower

27:7

إِذۡ

idh

When

قَالَ

qala

said

مُوسَىٰ

musa

Musa

لِأَهۡلِهِۦٓ

li-ahlihi

to his family

إِنِّيٓ

inni

Indeed I

ءَانَسۡتُ

anastu

perceive

نَارٗا

naran

a fire

سَـَٔاتِيكُم

saatikum

I will bring you

مِّنۡهَا

min'ha

from it

بِخَبَرٍ

bikhabarin

some information

أَوۡ

ءَاتِيكُم

atikum

I will bring you

بِشِهَابٖ

bishihabin

a torch

قَبَسٖ

qabasin

burning

لَّعَلَّكُمۡ

la'allakum

so that you may

تَصۡطَلُونَ

tastaluna

warm yourselves

27:8

فَلَمَّا

falamma

But when

جَآءَهَا

jaaha

he came to it

نُودِيَ

nudiya

he was called

أَنۢ

[that]

بُورِكَ

burika

Blessed is

مَن

man

who

فِي

(is) at

ٱلنَّارِ

al-nari

the fire

وَمَنۡ

waman

and whoever

حَوۡلَهَا

hawlaha

(is) around it

وَسُبۡحَٰنَ

wasub'hana

And glory be

ٱللَّهِ

al-lahi

(to) Allah

رَبِّ

rabbi

(the) Lord

ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

al-'alamina

(of) the worlds

27:9

يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ

yamusa

O Musa

إِنَّهُۥٓ

innahu

Indeed

أَنَا

ana

I Am

ٱللَّهُ

al-lahu

Allah

ٱلۡعَزِيزُ

al-'azizu

the All-Mighty

ٱلۡحَكِيمُ

al-hakimu

the All-Wise

27:10

وَأَلۡقِ

wa-alqi

And Throw

عَصَاكَۚ

asaka

your staff

فَلَمَّا

falamma

But when

رَءَاهَا

raaha

he saw it

تَهۡتَزُّ

tahtazzu

moving

كَأَنَّهَا

ka-annaha

as if it

جَآنّٞ

jannun

(were) a snake

وَلَّىٰ

walla

he turned back

مُدۡبِرٗا

mud'biran

(in) flight

وَلَمۡ

walam

and (did) not

يُعَقِّبۡۚ

yu'aqqib

look back

يَٰمُوسَىٰ

yamusa

O Musa

لَا

(Do) not

تَخَفۡ

takhaf

fear

إِنِّي

inni

Indeed [I]

لَا

(do) not

يَخَافُ

yakhafu

fear

لَدَيَّ

ladayya

(in) My presence

ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ

al-mur'saluna

the Messengers

١٠

27:11

إِلَّا

illa

Except

مَن

man

who

ظَلَمَ

zalama

wrongs

ثُمَّ

thumma

then

بَدَّلَ

baddala

substitutes

حُسۡنَۢا

hus'nan

good

بَعۡدَ

ba'da

after

سُوٓءٖ

suin

evil

فَإِنِّي

fa-inni

then indeed I Am

غَفُورٞ

ghafurun

Oft-Forgiving

رَّحِيمٞ

rahimun

Most Merciful

١١

27:12

وَأَدۡخِلۡ

wa-adkhil

And enter

يَدَكَ

yadaka

your hand

فِي

into

جَيۡبِكَ

jaybika

your bosom

تَخۡرُجۡ

takhruj

it will come forth

بَيۡضَآءَ

baydaa

white

مِنۡ

min

without

غَيۡرِ

ghayri

without

سُوٓءٖۖ

suin

harm

فِي

(These are) among

تِسۡعِ

tis'i

nine

ءَايَٰتٍ

ayatin

signs

إِلَىٰ

ila

فِرۡعَوۡنَ

fir'awna

Firaun

وَقَوۡمِهِۦٓۚ

waqawmihi

and his people

إِنَّهُمۡ

innahum

Indeed they

كَانُواْ

kanu

are

قَوۡمٗا

qawman

a people

فَٰسِقِينَ

fasiqina

defiantly disobedient

١٢

27:13

فَلَمَّا

falamma

But when

جَآءَتۡهُمۡ

jaathum

came to them

ءَايَٰتُنَا

ayatuna

Our Signs

مُبۡصِرَةٗ

mub'siratan

visible

قَالُواْ

qalu

they said

هَٰذَا

hadha

This

سِحۡرٞ

sih'run

(is) a magic

مُّبِينٞ

mubinun

manifest

27:14

وَجَحَدُواْ

wajahadu

And they rejected

بِهَا

biha

them

وَٱسۡتَيۡقَنَتۡهَآ

wa-is'tayqanatha

though were convinced with them (signs)

أَنفُسُهُمۡ

anfusuhum

themselves

ظُلۡمٗا

zul'man

(out of) injustice

وَعُلُوّٗاۚ

wa'uluwwan

and haughtiness

فَٱنظُرۡ

fa-unzur

So see

كَيۡفَ

kayfa

how

كَانَ

kana

was

عَٰقِبَةُ

aqibatu

(the) end

ٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَ

al-muf'sidina

(of) the corrupters

١٤

27:15

وَلَقَدۡ

walaqad

And verily

ءَاتَيۡنَا

atayna

We gave

دَاوُۥدَ

dawuda

Dawood

وَسُلَيۡمَٰنَ

wasulaymana

and Sulaiman

عِلۡمٗاۖ

il'man

knowledge

وَقَالَا

waqala

and they said

ٱلۡحَمۡدُ

al-hamdu

Praise be

لِلَّهِ

lillahi

to Allah

ٱلَّذِي

alladhi

the One Who

فَضَّلَنَا

faddalana

has favored us

عَلَىٰ

ala

over

كَثِيرٖ

kathirin

many

مِّنۡ

min

عِبَادِهِ

ibadihi

His servants

ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

al-mu'minina

the believers

١٥

27:16

وَوَرِثَ

wawaritha

And inherited

سُلَيۡمَٰنُ

sulaymanu

Sulaiman

دَاوُۥدَۖ

dawuda

Dawood

وَقَالَ

waqala

And he said

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا

yaayyuha

ٱلنَّاسُ

al-nasu

people

عُلِّمۡنَا

ullim'na

We have been taught

مَنطِقَ

mantiqa

(the) language

ٱلطَّيۡرِ

al-tayri

(of) the birds

وَأُوتِينَا

wautina

and we have been given

مِن

min

from

كُلِّ

kulli

every

شَيۡءٍۖ

shayin

thing

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

هَٰذَا

hadha

this

لَهُوَ

lahuwa

surely it

ٱلۡفَضۡلُ

al-fadlu

(is) the favor

ٱلۡمُبِينُ

al-mubinu

evident

١٦

27:17

وَحُشِرَ

wahushira

And were gathered

لِسُلَيۡمَٰنَ

lisulaymana

for Sulaiman

جُنُودُهُۥ

junuduhu

his hosts

مِنَ

mina

ٱلۡجِنِّ

al-jini

jinn

وَٱلۡإِنسِ

wal-insi

and the men

وَٱلطَّيۡرِ

wal-tayri

and the birds

فَهُمۡ

fahum

and they

يُوزَعُونَ

yuza'una

(were) set in rows

١٧

27:18

حَتَّىٰٓ

hatta

Until

إِذَآ

idha

when

أَتَوۡاْ

ataw

they came

عَلَىٰ

ala

وَادِ

wadi

(the) valley

ٱلنَّمۡلِ

al-namli

(of) the ants

قَالَتۡ

qalat

said

نَمۡلَةٞ

namlatun

an ant

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا

yaayyuha

ٱلنَّمۡلُ

al-namlu

ants

ٱدۡخُلُواْ

ud'khulu

Enter

مَسَٰكِنَكُمۡ

masakinakum

your dwellings

لَا

lest not crush you

يَحۡطِمَنَّكُمۡ

yahtimannakum

lest not crush you

سُلَيۡمَٰنُ

sulaymanu

Sulaiman

وَجُنُودُهُۥ

wajunuduhu

and his hosts

وَهُمۡ

wahum

while they

لَا

(do) not perceive

يَشۡعُرُونَ

yash'uruna

(do) not perceive

١٨

27:19

فَتَبَسَّمَ

fatabassama

So he smiled

ضَاحِكٗا

dahikan

laughing

مِّن

min

قَوۡلِهَا

qawliha

her speech

وَقَالَ

waqala

and said

رَبِّ

rabbi

My Lord

أَوۡزِعۡنِيٓ

awzi'ni

Grant me (the) power

أَنۡ

that

أَشۡكُرَ

ashkura

I may thank You

نِعۡمَتَكَ

ni'mataka

(for) Your Favor

ٱلَّتِيٓ

allati

which

أَنۡعَمۡتَ

an'amta

You have bestowed

عَلَيَّ

alayya

on me

وَعَلَىٰ

wa'ala

and on

وَٰلِدَيَّ

walidayya

my parents

وَأَنۡ

wa-an

and that

أَعۡمَلَ

a'mala

I may do

صَٰلِحٗا

salihan

righteous (deeds)

تَرۡضَىٰهُ

tardahu

that will please You

وَأَدۡخِلۡنِي

wa-adkhil'ni

And admit me

بِرَحۡمَتِكَ

birahmatika

by Your Mercy

فِي

among

عِبَادِكَ

ibadika

Your slaves

ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

al-salihina

righteous

١٩

27:20

وَتَفَقَّدَ

watafaqqada

And he inspected

ٱلطَّيۡرَ

al-tayra

the birds

فَقَالَ

faqala

and said

مَا

Why

لِيَ

liya

Why

لَآ

not

أَرَى

ara

I see

ٱلۡهُدۡهُدَ

al-hud'huda

the hoopoe

أَمۡ

كَانَ

kana

is he

مِنَ

mina

from

ٱلۡغَآئِبِينَ

al-ghaibina

the absent

٢٠

27:21

لَأُعَذِّبَنَّهُۥ

la-u'adhibannahu

I will surely punish him

عَذَابٗا

adhaban

(with) a punishment

شَدِيدًا

shadidan

severe

أَوۡ

لَأَاْذۡبَحَنَّهُۥٓ

laadh'bahannahu

I will surely slaughter him

أَوۡ

unless

لَيَأۡتِيَنِّي

layatiyanni

he brings me

بِسُلۡطَٰنٖ

bisul'tanin

a reason

مُّبِينٖ

mubinin

clear

٢١

27:22

فَمَكَثَ

famakatha

So he stayed

غَيۡرَ

ghayra

not

بَعِيدٖ

ba'idin

long

فَقَالَ

faqala

and he said

أَحَطتُ

ahattu

I have encompassed

بِمَا

bima

that which

لَمۡ

lam

not

تُحِطۡ

tuhit

you have encompassed

بِهِۦ

bihi

وَجِئۡتُكَ

waji'tuka

and I have come to you

مِن

min

from

سَبَإِۭ

saba-in

Saba

بِنَبَإٖ

binaba-in

with news

يَقِينٍ

yaqinin

certain

27:23

إِنِّي

inni

Indeed I

وَجَدتُّ

wajadttu

found

ٱمۡرَأَةٗ

im'ra-atan

a woman

تَمۡلِكُهُمۡ

tamlikuhum

ruling them

وَأُوتِيَتۡ

wautiyat

and she has been given

مِن

min

كُلِّ

kulli

every

شَيۡءٖ

shayin

thing

وَلَهَا

walaha

and for her

عَرۡشٌ

arshun

(is) a throne

عَظِيمٞ

azimun

great

٢٣

27:24

وَجَدتُّهَا

wajadttuha

And I found her

وَقَوۡمَهَا

waqawmaha

and her people

يَسۡجُدُونَ

yasjuduna

prostrating

لِلشَّمۡسِ

lilshamsi

to the sun

مِن

min

instead of Allah

دُونِ

duni

instead of Allah

ٱللَّهِ

al-lahi

instead of Allah

وَزَيَّنَ

wazayyana

and has made fair-seeming

لَهُمُ

lahumu

to them

ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ

al-shaytanu

the Shaitaan

أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ

a'malahum

their deeds

فَصَدَّهُمۡ

fasaddahum

and averted them

عَنِ

ani

from

ٱلسَّبِيلِ

al-sabili

the Way

فَهُمۡ

fahum

so they

لَا

(are) not

يَهۡتَدُونَ

yahtaduna

guided

٢٤

27:25

أَلَّاۤ

alla

That not

يَسۡجُدُواْۤ

yasjudu

they prostrate

لِلَّهِ

lillahi

to Allah

ٱلَّذِي

alladhi

the One Who

يُخۡرِجُ

yukh'riju

brings forth

ٱلۡخَبۡءَ

al-khaba-a

the hidden

فِي

ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ

al-samawati

the heavens

وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ

wal-ardi

and the earth

وَيَعۡلَمُ

waya'lamu

and knows

مَا

what

تُخۡفُونَ

tukh'funa

you conceal

وَمَا

wama

and what

تُعۡلِنُونَ

tu'linuna

you declare

٢٥

27:26

ٱللَّهُ

al-lahu

Allah

لَآ

(there is) no

إِلَٰهَ

ilaha

god

إِلَّا

illa

but

هُوَ

huwa

رَبُّ

rabbu

(the) Lord

ٱلۡعَرۡشِ

al-'arshi

(of) the Throne

ٱلۡعَظِيمِ۩

al-'azimi

the Great
