One of the 240 subdivisions of the Quran (quarter of a Hizb)

26:52

۞وَأَوۡحَيۡنَآ

wa-awhayna

And We inspired

إِلَىٰ

ila

مُوسَىٰٓ

musa

Musa

أَنۡ

[that]

أَسۡرِ

asri

Travel by night

بِعِبَادِيٓ

bi'ibadi

with My slaves

إِنَّكُم

innakum

indeed you

مُّتَّبَعُونَ

muttaba'una

(will be) followed

٥٢

26:53

فَأَرۡسَلَ

fa-arsala

Then sent

فِرۡعَوۡنُ

fir'awnu

Firaun

فِي

ٱلۡمَدَآئِنِ

al-madaini

the cities

حَٰشِرِينَ

hashirina

gatherers

٥٣

26:54

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ

haulai

these

لَشِرۡذِمَةٞ

lashir'dhimatun

(are) certainly a band

قَلِيلُونَ

qaliluna

small

٥٤

26:55

وَإِنَّهُمۡ

wa-innahum

And indeed they

لَنَا

lana

[to] us

لَغَآئِظُونَ

laghaizuna

(are) surely enraging

٥٥

26:56

وَإِنَّا

wa-inna

And indeed we

لَجَمِيعٌ

lajami'un

(are) surely a multitude

حَٰذِرُونَ

hadhiruna

forewarned

٥٦

26:57

فَأَخۡرَجۡنَٰهُم

fa-akhrajnahum

So We expelled them

مِّن

min

from

جَنَّٰتٖ

jannatin

gardens

وَعُيُونٖ

wa'uyunin

and springs

٥٧

26:58

وَكُنُوزٖ

wakunuzin

And treasures

وَمَقَامٖ

wamaqamin

and a place

كَرِيمٖ

karimin

honorable

٥٨

26:59

كَذَٰلِكَۖ

kadhalika

Thus

وَأَوۡرَثۡنَٰهَا

wa-awrathnaha

And We caused to inherit them

بَنِيٓ

bani

(the) Children of Israel

إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ

is'raila

(the) Children of Israel

٥٩

26:60

فَأَتۡبَعُوهُم

fa-atba'uhum

So they followed them

مُّشۡرِقِينَ

mush'riqina

(at) sunrise

26:61

فَلَمَّا

falamma

Then when

تَرَٰٓءَا

taraa

saw each other

ٱلۡجَمۡعَانِ

al-jam'ani

the two hosts

قَالَ

qala

said

أَصۡحَٰبُ

ashabu

(the) companions

مُوسَىٰٓ

musa

(of) Musa

إِنَّا

inna

Indeed we

لَمُدۡرَكُونَ

lamud'rakuna

(are) surely to be overtaken

٦١

26:62

قَالَ

qala

He said

كـَلَّآۖ

kalla

Nay

إِنَّ

inna

indeed

مَعِيَ

ma'iya

with me

رَبِّي

rabbi

(is) my Lord

سَيَهۡدِينِ

sayahdini

He will guide me

٦٢

26:63

فَأَوۡحَيۡنَآ

fa-awhayna

Then We inspired

إِلَىٰ

ila

مُوسَىٰٓ

musa

Musa

أَنِ

ani

[that]

ٱضۡرِب

id'rib

Strike

بِّعَصَاكَ

bi'asaka

with your staff

ٱلۡبَحۡرَۖ

al-bahra

the sea

فَٱنفَلَقَ

fa-infalaqa

So it parted

فَكَانَ

fakana

and became

كُلُّ

kullu

each

فِرۡقٖ

fir'qin

part

كَٱلطَّوۡدِ

kal-tawdi

like the mountain

ٱلۡعَظِيمِ

al-'azimi

[the] great

٦٣

26:64

وَأَزۡلَفۡنَا

wa-azlafna

And We brought near

ثَمَّ

thamma

there

ٱلۡأٓخَرِينَ

al-akharina

the others

٦٤

26:65

وَأَنجَيۡنَا

wa-anjayna

And We saved

مُوسَىٰ

musa

Musa

وَمَن

waman

and who

مَّعَهُۥٓ

ma'ahu

(were) with him

أَجۡمَعِينَ

ajma'ina

all

٦٥

26:66

ثُمَّ

thumma

Then

أَغۡرَقۡنَا

aghraqna

We drowned

ٱلۡأٓخَرِينَ

al-akharina

the others

٦٦

26:67

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

فِي

ذَٰلِكَ

dhalika

that

لَأٓيَةٗۖ

laayatan

surely (is) a Sign

وَمَا

wama

but not

كَانَ

kana

are

أَكۡثَرُهُم

aktharuhum

most of them

مُّؤۡمِنِينَ

mu'minina

believers

٦٧

26:68

وَإِنَّ

wa-inna

And indeed

رَبَّكَ

rabbaka

your Lord

لَهُوَ

lahuwa

surely He

ٱلۡعَزِيزُ

al-'azizu

(is) the All-Mighty

ٱلرَّحِيمُ

al-rahimu

the Most Merciful

٦٨

26:69

وَٱتۡلُ

wa-ut'lu

And recite

عَلَيۡهِمۡ

alayhim

to them

نَبَأَ

naba-a

(the) news

إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ

ib'rahima

(of) Ibrahim

٦٩

26:70

إِذۡ

idh

When

قَالَ

qala

he said

لِأَبِيهِ

li-abihi

to his father

وَقَوۡمِهِۦ

waqawmihi

and his people

مَا

What

تَعۡبُدُونَ

ta'buduna

(do) you worship

٧٠

26:71

قَالُواْ

qalu

They said

نَعۡبُدُ

na'budu

We worship

أَصۡنَامٗا

asnaman

idols

فَنَظَلُّ

fanazallu

so we will remain

لَهَا

laha

to them

عَٰكِفِينَ

akifina

devoted

٧١

26:72

قَالَ

qala

He said

هَلۡ

hal

يَسۡمَعُونَكُمۡ

yasma'unakum

they hear you

إِذۡ

idh

when

تَدۡعُونَ

tad'una

you call

٧٢

26:73

أَوۡ

يَنفَعُونَكُمۡ

yanfa'unakum

(do) they benefit you

أَوۡ

يَضُرُّونَ

yadurruna

they harm (you)

٧٣

26:74

قَالُواْ

qalu

They said

بَلۡ

bal

Nay

وَجَدۡنَآ

wajadna

but we found

ءَابَآءَنَا

abaana

our forefathers

كَذَٰلِكَ

kadhalika

like that

يَفۡعَلُونَ

yaf 'aluna

doing

٧٤

26:75

قَالَ

qala

He said

أَفَرَءَيۡتُم

afara-aytum

Do you see

مَّا

what

كُنتُمۡ

kuntum

you have been

تَعۡبُدُونَ

ta'buduna

worshipping

٧٥

26:76

أَنتُمۡ

antum

You

وَءَابَآؤُكُمُ

waabaukumu

and your forefathers

ٱلۡأَقۡدَمُونَ

al-aqdamuna

and your forefathers

٧٦

26:77

فَإِنَّهُمۡ

fa-innahum

Indeed they

عَدُوّٞ

aduwwun

(are) enemies

لِّيٓ

to me

إِلَّا

illa

except

رَبَّ

rabba

(the) Lord

ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

al-'alamina

(of) the worlds

٧٧

26:78

ٱلَّذِي

alladhi

The One Who

خَلَقَنِي

khalaqani

created me

فَهُوَ

fahuwa

and He

يَهۡدِينِ

yahdini

guides me

٧٨

26:79

وَٱلَّذِي

wa-alladhi

And the One Who

هُوَ

huwa

[He]

يُطۡعِمُنِي

yut'imuni

gives me food

وَيَسۡقِينِ

wayasqini

and gives me drink

٧٩

26:80

وَإِذَا

wa-idha

And when

مَرِضۡتُ

marid'tu

I am ill

فَهُوَ

fahuwa

then He

يَشۡفِينِ

yashfini

cures me

٨٠

26:81

وَٱلَّذِي

wa-alladhi

And the One Who

يُمِيتُنِي

yumituni

will cause me to die

ثُمَّ

thumma

then

يُحۡيِينِ

yuh'yini

he will give me life

٨١

26:82

وَٱلَّذِيٓ

wa-alladhi

And the One Who

أَطۡمَعُ

atma'u

I hope

أَن

that

يَغۡفِرَ

yaghfira

He will forgive

لِي

for me

خَطِيٓـَٔتِي

khatiati

my faults

يَوۡمَ

yawma

(on the) Day

ٱلدِّينِ

al-dini

(of) the Judgment

٨٢

26:83

رَبِّ

rabbi

My Lord

هَبۡ

hab

Grant

لِي

[for] me

حُكۡمٗا

huk'man

wisdom

وَأَلۡحِقۡنِي

wa-alhiq'ni

and join me

بِٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

bil-salihina

with the righteous

٨٣

26:84

وَٱجۡعَل

wa-ij'al

And grant

لِّي

[for] me

لِسَانَ

lisana

a mention

صِدۡقٖ

sid'qin

(of) honor

فِي

among

ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ

al-akhirina

the later (generations)

٨٤

26:85

وَٱجۡعَلۡنِي

wa-ij'alni

And make me

مِن

min

وَرَثَةِ

warathati

(the) inheritors

جَنَّةِ

jannati

(of) Garden(s)

ٱلنَّعِيمِ

al-na'imi

(of) Delight

٨٥

26:86

وَٱغۡفِرۡ

wa-igh'fir

And forgive

لِأَبِيٓ

li-abi

my father

إِنَّهُۥ

innahu

Indeed he

كَانَ

kana

مِنَ

mina

ٱلضَّآلِّينَ

al-dalina

those astray

٨٦

26:87

وَلَا

wala

And (do) not

تُخۡزِنِي

tukh'zini

disgrace me

يَوۡمَ

yawma

(on the) Day

يُبۡعَثُونَ

yub'athuna

they are resurrected

٨٧

26:88

يَوۡمَ

yawma

(The) Day

لَا

not

يَنفَعُ

yanfa'u

will benefit

مَالٞ

malun

wealth

وَلَا

wala

and not

بَنُونَ

banuna

sons

٨٨

26:89

إِلَّا

illa

Except

مَنۡ

man

(he) who

أَتَى

ata

comes

ٱللَّهَ

al-laha

(to) Allah

بِقَلۡبٖ

biqalbin

with a heart

سَلِيمٖ

salimin

sound

٨٩

26:90

وَأُزۡلِفَتِ

wa-uz'lifati

And (will be) brought near

ٱلۡجَنَّةُ

al-janatu

the Paradise

لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ

lil'muttaqina

for the righteous

٩٠

26:91

وَبُرِّزَتِ

waburrizati

And (will be) made manifest

ٱلۡجَحِيمُ

al-jahimu

the Hellfire

لِلۡغَاوِينَ

lil'ghawina

to the deviators

٩١

26:92

وَقِيلَ

waqila

And it will be said

لَهُمۡ

lahum

to them

أَيۡنَ

ayna

Where

مَا

(is) that

كُنتُمۡ

kuntum

you used

تَعۡبُدُونَ

ta'buduna

(to) worship

٩٢

26:93

مِن

min

Besides Allah

دُونِ

duni

Besides Allah

ٱللَّهِ

al-lahi

Besides Allah

هَلۡ

hal

Can

يَنصُرُونَكُمۡ

yansurunakum

they help you

أَوۡ

يَنتَصِرُونَ

yantasiruna

help themselves

٩٣

26:94

فَكُبۡكِبُواْ

fakub'kibu

Then they will be overturned

فِيهَا

fiha

into it

هُمۡ

hum

they

وَٱلۡغَاوُۥنَ

wal-ghawuna

and the deviators

٩٤

26:95

وَجُنُودُ

wajunudu

And (the) hosts

إِبۡلِيسَ

ib'lisa

(of) Iblis

أَجۡمَعُونَ

ajma'una

all together

٩٥

26:96

قَالُواْ

qalu

They (will) say

وَهُمۡ

wahum

while they

فِيهَا

fiha

in it

يَخۡتَصِمُونَ

yakhtasimuna

(are) disputing

٩٦

26:97

تَٱللَّهِ

tal-lahi

By Allah

إِن

indeed

كُنَّا

kunna

we were

لَفِي

lafi

surely in

ضَلَٰلٖ

dalalin

error

مُّبِينٍ

mubinin

clear

٩٧

26:98

إِذۡ

idh

When

نُسَوِّيكُم

nusawwikum

we equated you

بِرَبِّ

birabbi

with (the) Lord

ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

al-'alamina

(of) the worlds

٩٨

26:99

وَمَآ

wama

And not

أَضَلَّنَآ

adallana

misguided us

إِلَّا

illa

except

ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ

al-muj'rimuna

the criminals

٩٩

26:100

فَمَا

fama

So (now) not

لَنَا

lana

we have

مِن

min

any

شَٰفِعِينَ

shafi'ina

intercessors

١٠٠

26:101

وَلَا

wala

And not

صَدِيقٍ

sadiqin

a friend

حَمِيمٖ

hamimin

١٠١
