۞هَيۡهَاتَ

Hayhaata

Far-(fetched)

هَيۡهَاتَ

hayhaata

far-(fetched)

لِمَا

limaa

is what

تُوعَدُونَ

tooʻadoon!

you are promised

٣٦

23:37

إِنۡ

ʹIn

Not

هِيَ

hiya

إِلَّا

ʹillaa

(is) but

حَيَاتُنَا

ḥayaatunad

our life

ٱلدُّنۡيَا

dunyaa

(of) the world

نَمُوتُ

namootu

we die

وَنَحۡيَا

wa-naḥyaa

and we live

وَمَا

wa-maa

and not

نَحۡنُ

naḥnoo

بِمَبۡعُوثِينَ

bimabʻoos̤een!

(will be) resurrected

٣٧

23:38

إِنۡ

ʹIn

Not

هُوَ

huwa

(is) he

إِلَّا

ʹillaa

but

رَجُلٌ

rajulunif

a man

ٱفۡتَرَىٰ

taraa

who (has) invented

عَلَى

ʻalal

about

ٱللَّهِ

laahi

Allah

كَذِبٗا

kaẓibañw

a lie

وَمَا

wamaa

and not

نَحۡنُ

naḥnu

لَهُۥ

lahoo

(in) him

بِمُؤۡمِنِينَ

bimuʹmineen!

(are) believers

٣٨

23:39

قَالَ

Q̣aala

He said

رَبِّ

Rabbiñ

My Lord

ٱنصُرۡنِي

ṣurnee

Help me

بِمَا

bimaa

because

كَذَّبُونِ

kaẓẓaboon.

they deny me

٣٩

23:40

قَالَ

Q̣aala

He said

عَمَّا

ʻammaa

After a little while

قَلِيلٖ

q̣aleelil

After a little while

لَّيُصۡبِحُنَّ

layuṣbiḥunna

surely they will become

نَٰدِمِينَ

naadimeen!

regretful

٤٠

23:41

فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ

Faʹakhaẓathumuṣ

So seized them

ٱلصَّيۡحَةُ

Ṣayḥatu

the awful cry

بِٱلۡحَقِّ

bilḥaq̣q̣i

in truth

فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُمۡ

fajaʻalnaahum

and We made them

غُثَآءٗۚ

g̣us̤aaaʹaa!

(as) rubbish of dead leaves

فَبُعۡدٗا

Fabuʻdal

So away

لِّلۡقَوۡمِ

lilq̣awmiz̤̣

with the people

ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

z̤̣aalimeen!

the wrongdoers

٤١

23:42

ثُمَّ

S̤umma

Then

أَنشَأۡنَا

ʹañshaʹnaa

We produced

مِنۢ

mim

after them

بَعۡدِهِمۡ

baʻdihim

after them

قُرُونًا

q̣uroonan

a generation

ءَاخَرِينَ

ʹaakhareen.

another

مَا

Maa-

Not

تَسۡبِقُ

tasbiq̣u

can precede

مِنۡ

min

any

أُمَّةٍ

ʹummatin

nation

أَجَلَهَا

ʹajalahaa

its term

وَمَا

wa-maa

and not

يَسۡتَـٔۡخِرُونَ

yastaʹkhiroon.

they (can) delay (it)

23:44

ثُمَّ

S̤umma

Then

أَرۡسَلۡنَا

ʹarsalnaa

We sent

رُسُلَنَا

rusulanaa

Our Messengers

تَتۡرَاۖ

tatraa.

(in) succession

كُلَّ

Kulla

Every time

مَا

maa

Every time

جَآءَ

jaaaʹa

came

أُمَّةٗ

ʹummatar

(to) a nation

رَّسُولُهَا

rasooluhaa

its Messenger

كَذَّبُوهُۖ

kaẓẓaboohu

they denied him

فَأَتۡبَعۡنَا

faʹatbaʻnaa

so We made (them) follow

بَعۡضَهُم

baʻḍahum

some of them

بَعۡضٗا

baʻḍañw

others

وَجَعَلۡنَٰهُمۡ

wajaʹalnaahum

and We made them

أَحَادِيثَۚ

ʹaḥaadees̤:

narrations

فَبُعۡدٗا

fabuʻdal

So away

لِّقَوۡمٖ

liq̣awmil

with a people

لَّا

laa

not

يُؤۡمِنُونَ

yuʹminoon!

they believe

٤٤

23:45

ثُمَّ

S̤umma

Then

أَرۡسَلۡنَا

ʹarsalnaa

We sent

مُوسَىٰ

Moosaa

Musa

وَأَخَاهُ

wa-ʹakhaahu

and his brother

هَٰرُونَ

Haaroona

Harun

بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا

biʹAayaatinaa

with Our Signs

وَسُلۡطَٰنٖ

wa-sulṭaanim

and an authority

مُّبِينٍ

mubeen.

23:46

إِلَىٰ

ʹIlaa

فِرۡعَوۡنَ

Firʻawna

Firaun

وَمَلَإِيْهِۦ

wa-malaʹihee

and his chiefs

فَٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْ

fastakbaroo

but they behaved arrogantly

وَكَانُواْ

wa-kaanoo

and they were

قَوۡمًا

q̣awman

a people

عَالِينَ

ʻaaleen.

haughty

٤٦

23:47

فَقَالُوٓاْ

Faq̣aalooo

Then they said

أَنُؤۡمِنُ

ʹanuʹminu

Shall we believe

لِبَشَرَيۡنِ

libasharayni

(in) two men

مِثۡلِنَا

mis̤linaa

like ourselves

وَقَوۡمُهُمَا

wa-q̣awmuhumaa

while their people

لَنَا

lanaa

for us

عَٰبِدُونَ

ʻaabidoon?

(are) slaves

٤٧

23:48

فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا

Fakaẓẓaboohumaa

So they denied them

فَكَانُواْ

fakaanoo

and they became

مِنَ

minal

ٱلۡمُهۡلَكِينَ

muhlakeen.

those who were destroyed

٤٨

23:49

وَلَقَدۡ

Wa-laq̣ad

And verily

ءَاتَيۡنَا

ʹaataynaa

We gave

مُوسَى

Moosal

Musa

ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ

Kitaaba

the Scripture

لَعَلَّهُمۡ

laʻallahum

so that they may

يَهۡتَدُونَ

yahtadoon.

be guided

٤٩

23:50

وَجَعَلۡنَا

Wa-jaʻalnab

And We made

ٱبۡنَ

(the) son

مَرۡيَمَ

Maryama

(of) Maryam

وَأُمَّهُۥٓ

wa-ʹummahooo

and his mother

ءَايَةٗ

ʹAayatañw

a Sign

وَءَاوَيۡنَٰهُمَآ

Waʹaawaynaahumaaa

and We sheltered them

إِلَىٰ

ʹilaa

رَبۡوَةٖ

rabwatiñ

a high ground

ذَاتِ

ẓaati

of tranquility

قَرَارٖ

q̣araariñw

of tranquility

وَمَعِينٖ

wamaʻeen.

and water springs

٥٠

23:51

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا

Yaaaʹayyuhar

O Messengers

ٱلرُّسُلُ

rusulu

O Messengers

كُلُواْ

kuloo

Eat

مِنَ

minaṭ

ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ

ṭayyibaati

the good things

وَٱعۡمَلُواْ

waʻmaloo

and do

صَٰلِحًاۖ

ṣaaliḥaa:

righteous (deeds)

إِنِّي

ʹinnee

Indeed I Am

بِمَا

bimaa

of what

تَعۡمَلُونَ

taʻmaloona

you do

عَلِيمٞ

ʻAleem.

All-Knower

٥١

23:52

وَإِنَّ

Wa-ʹinna

And indeed

هَٰذِهِۦٓ

haaẓiheee

this

أُمَّتُكُمۡ

ʹummatukum

your religion

أُمَّةٗ

ʹummatañw

(is) religion

وَٰحِدَةٗ

Waaḥidatañw

one

وَأَنَا۠

WaʹAna

And I Am

رَبُّكُمۡ

Rabbukum

your Lord

فَٱتَّقُونِ

fattaq̣oon.

so fear Me

٥٢

23:53

فَتَقَطَّعُوٓاْ

Fataq̣aṭṭaʻooo

But they cut off

أَمۡرَهُم

ʹamrahum̃

their affair (of unity)

بَيۡنَهُمۡ

baynahum

between them

زُبُرٗاۖ

zuburaa:

(into) sects

كُلُّ

kullu

each

حِزۡبِۭ

ḥizbim

faction

بِمَا

bimaa

in what

لَدَيۡهِمۡ

ladayhim

they have

فَرِحُونَ

fariḥoon.

rejoicing

٥٣

23:54

فَذَرۡهُمۡ

Faẓarhum

So leave them

فِي

fee

غَمۡرَتِهِمۡ

g̣amratihim

their confusion

حَتَّىٰ

ḥattaa

until

حِينٍ

ḥeen.

a time

٥٤

23:55

أَيَحۡسَبُونَ

ʹA-yaḥsaboona

Do they think

أَنَّمَا

ʹannamaa

that what

نُمِدُّهُم

numidduhum̃

We extend to them

بِهِۦ

bihee

[with it]

مِن

mim

مَّالٖ

maaliñw

wealth

وَبَنِينَ

wabaneen,

and children

٥٥

23:56

نُسَارِعُ

Nusaariʻu

We hasten

لَهُمۡ

lahum

to them

فِي

fil

ٱلۡخَيۡرَٰتِۚ

khayraat?

the good

بَل

Bal

Nay

لَّا

laa

not

يَشۡعُرُونَ

yashʻuroon.

they perceive

٥٦

23:57

إِنَّ

ʹInnal

Indeed

ٱلَّذِينَ

laẓeena

those who

هُم

hum

[they]

مِّنۡ

min

from

خَشۡيَةِ

khashyati

(the) fear

رَبِّهِم

Rabbihim

(of) their Lord

مُّشۡفِقُونَ

mushfiq̣oon;

(are) cautious

٥٧

23:58

وَٱلَّذِينَ

Wallaẓeena

And those

هُم

hum̃

[they]

بِـَٔايَٰتِ

biʹAayaati

in (the) Signs

رَبِّهِمۡ

Rabbihim

(of) their Lord

يُؤۡمِنُونَ

yuʹminoon;

believe

23:59

وَٱلَّذِينَ

Wallaẓeena

And those

هُم

hum̃

[they]

بِرَبِّهِمۡ

bi-Rabbihim

with their Lord

لَا

laa-

(do) not

يُشۡرِكُونَ

yushrikoon;

associate partners

وَٱلَّذِينَ

Wallaẓeena

And those who

يُؤۡتُونَ

yuʹtoona

give

مَآ

maaa

what

ءَاتَواْ

ʹaataw

they give

وَّقُلُوبُهُمۡ

Waq̣uloobuhum

while their hearts

وَجِلَةٌ

wajilatun

(are) fearful

أَنَّهُمۡ

ʹannahum

because they

إِلَىٰ

ʹilaa

رَبِّهِمۡ

Rabbihim

their Lord

رَٰجِعُونَ

raajiʻoon;

(will) return
