۞هَيۡهَاتَ

hayhata

Far-(fetched)

هَيۡهَاتَ

hayhata

far-(fetched)

لِمَا

lima

is what

تُوعَدُونَ

tu'aduna

you are promised

٣٦

23:37

إِنۡ

Not

هِيَ

hiya

إِلَّا

illa

(is) but

حَيَاتُنَا

hayatuna

our life

ٱلدُّنۡيَا

al-dun'ya

(of) the world

نَمُوتُ

namutu

we die

وَنَحۡيَا

wanahya

and we live

وَمَا

wama

and not

نَحۡنُ

nahnu

بِمَبۡعُوثِينَ

bimab'uthina

(will be) resurrected

٣٧

23:38

إِنۡ

Not

هُوَ

huwa

(is) he

إِلَّا

illa

but

رَجُلٌ

rajulun

a man

ٱفۡتَرَىٰ

if'tara

who (has) invented

عَلَى

ala

about

ٱللَّهِ

al-lahi

Allah

كَذِبٗا

kadhiban

a lie

وَمَا

wama

and not

نَحۡنُ

nahnu

لَهُۥ

lahu

(in) him

بِمُؤۡمِنِينَ

bimu'minina

(are) believers

٣٨

23:39

قَالَ

qala

He said

رَبِّ

rabbi

My Lord

ٱنصُرۡنِي

unsur'ni

Help me

بِمَا

bima

because

كَذَّبُونِ

kadhabuni

they deny me

٣٩

23:40

قَالَ

qala

He said

عَمَّا

amma

After a little while

قَلِيلٖ

qalilin

After a little while

لَّيُصۡبِحُنَّ

layus'bihunna

surely they will become

نَٰدِمِينَ

nadimina

regretful

٤٠

23:41

فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ

fa-akhadhathumu

So seized them

ٱلصَّيۡحَةُ

al-sayhatu

the awful cry

بِٱلۡحَقِّ

bil-haqi

in truth

فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُمۡ

faja'alnahum

and We made them

غُثَآءٗۚ

ghuthaan

(as) rubbish of dead leaves

فَبُعۡدٗا

fabu'dan

So away

لِّلۡقَوۡمِ

lil'qawmi

with the people

ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

al-zalimina

the wrongdoers

٤١

23:42

ثُمَّ

thumma

Then

أَنشَأۡنَا

anshana

We produced

مِنۢ

min

after them

بَعۡدِهِمۡ

ba'dihim

after them

قُرُونًا

qurunan

a generation

ءَاخَرِينَ

akharina

another

مَا

Not

تَسۡبِقُ

tasbiqu

can precede

مِنۡ

min

any

أُمَّةٍ

ummatin

nation

أَجَلَهَا

ajalaha

its term

وَمَا

wama

and not

يَسۡتَـٔۡخِرُونَ

yastakhiruna

they (can) delay (it)

٤٣

23:44

ثُمَّ

thumma

Then

أَرۡسَلۡنَا

arsalna

We sent

رُسُلَنَا

rusulana

Our Messengers

تَتۡرَاۖ

tatra

(in) succession

كُلَّ

kulla

Every time

مَا

Every time

جَآءَ

jaa

came

أُمَّةٗ

ummatan

(to) a nation

رَّسُولُهَا

rasuluha

its Messenger

كَذَّبُوهُۖ

kadhabuhu

they denied him

فَأَتۡبَعۡنَا

fa-atba'na

so We made (them) follow

بَعۡضَهُم

ba'dahum

some of them

بَعۡضٗا

ba'dan

others

وَجَعَلۡنَٰهُمۡ

waja'alnahum

and We made them

أَحَادِيثَۚ

ahaditha

narrations

فَبُعۡدٗا

fabu'dan

So away

لِّقَوۡمٖ

liqawmin

with a people

لَّا

not

يُؤۡمِنُونَ

yu'minuna

they believe

٤٤

23:45

ثُمَّ

thumma

Then

أَرۡسَلۡنَا

arsalna

We sent

مُوسَىٰ

musa

Musa

وَأَخَاهُ

wa-akhahu

and his brother

هَٰرُونَ

haruna

Harun

بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا

biayatina

with Our Signs

وَسُلۡطَٰنٖ

wasul'tanin

and an authority

مُّبِينٍ

mubinin

clear

٤٥

23:46

إِلَىٰ

ila

فِرۡعَوۡنَ

fir'awna

Firaun

وَمَلَإِيْهِۦ

wamala-ihi

and his chiefs

فَٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْ

fa-is'takbaru

but they behaved arrogantly

وَكَانُواْ

wakanu

and they were

قَوۡمًا

qawman

a people

عَالِينَ

alina

haughty

٤٦

23:47

فَقَالُوٓاْ

faqalu

Then they said

أَنُؤۡمِنُ

anu'minu

Shall we believe

لِبَشَرَيۡنِ

libasharayni

(in) two men

مِثۡلِنَا

mith'lina

like ourselves

وَقَوۡمُهُمَا

waqawmuhuma

while their people

لَنَا

lana

for us

عَٰبِدُونَ

abiduna

(are) slaves

٤٧

23:48

فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا

fakadhabuhuma

So they denied them

فَكَانُواْ

fakanu

and they became

مِنَ

mina

ٱلۡمُهۡلَكِينَ

al-muh'lakina

those who were destroyed

٤٨

23:49

وَلَقَدۡ

walaqad

And verily

ءَاتَيۡنَا

atayna

We gave

مُوسَى

musa

Musa

ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ

al-kitaba

the Scripture

لَعَلَّهُمۡ

la'allahum

so that they may

يَهۡتَدُونَ

yahtaduna

be guided

٤٩

23:50

وَجَعَلۡنَا

waja'alna

And We made

ٱبۡنَ

ib'na

(the) son

مَرۡيَمَ

maryama

(of) Maryam

وَأُمَّهُۥٓ

wa-ummahu

and his mother

ءَايَةٗ

ayatan

a Sign

وَءَاوَيۡنَٰهُمَآ

waawaynahuma

and We sheltered them

إِلَىٰ

ila

رَبۡوَةٖ

rabwatin

a high ground

ذَاتِ

dhati

of tranquility

قَرَارٖ

qararin

of tranquility

وَمَعِينٖ

wama'inin

and water springs

٥٠

23:51

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا

yaayyuha

O Messengers

ٱلرُّسُلُ

al-rusulu

O Messengers

كُلُواْ

kulu

Eat

مِنَ

mina

ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ

al-tayibati

the good things

وَٱعۡمَلُواْ

wa-i'malu

and do

صَٰلِحًاۖ

salihan

righteous (deeds)

إِنِّي

inni

Indeed I Am

بِمَا

bima

of what

تَعۡمَلُونَ

ta'maluna

you do

عَلِيمٞ

alimun

All-Knower

٥١

23:52

وَإِنَّ

wa-inna

And indeed

هَٰذِهِۦٓ

hadhihi

this

أُمَّتُكُمۡ

ummatukum

your religion

أُمَّةٗ

ummatan

(is) religion

وَٰحِدَةٗ

wahidatan

one

وَأَنَا۠

wa-ana

And I Am

رَبُّكُمۡ

rabbukum

your Lord

فَٱتَّقُونِ

fa-ittaquni

so fear Me

٥٢

23:53

فَتَقَطَّعُوٓاْ

fataqatta'u

But they cut off

أَمۡرَهُم

amrahum

their affair (of unity)

بَيۡنَهُمۡ

baynahum

between them

زُبُرٗاۖ

zuburan

(into) sects

كُلُّ

kullu

each

حِزۡبِۭ

hiz'bin

faction

بِمَا

bima

in what

لَدَيۡهِمۡ

ladayhim

they have

فَرِحُونَ

farihuna

rejoicing

٥٣

23:54

فَذَرۡهُمۡ

fadharhum

So leave them

فِي

غَمۡرَتِهِمۡ

ghamratihim

their confusion

حَتَّىٰ

hatta

until

حِينٍ

hinin

a time

٥٤

23:55

أَيَحۡسَبُونَ

ayahsabuna

Do they think

أَنَّمَا

annama

that what

نُمِدُّهُم

numidduhum

We extend to them

بِهِۦ

bihi

[with it]

مِن

min

مَّالٖ

malin

wealth

وَبَنِينَ

wabanina

and children

٥٥

23:56

نُسَارِعُ

nusari'u

We hasten

لَهُمۡ

lahum

to them

فِي

ٱلۡخَيۡرَٰتِۚ

al-khayrati

the good

بَل

bal

Nay

لَّا

not

يَشۡعُرُونَ

yash'uruna

they perceive

٥٦

23:57

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhina

those who

هُم

hum

[they]

مِّنۡ

min

from

خَشۡيَةِ

khashyati

(the) fear

رَبِّهِم

rabbihim

(of) their Lord

مُّشۡفِقُونَ

mush'fiquna

(are) cautious

٥٧

23:58

وَٱلَّذِينَ

wa-alladhina

And those

هُم

hum

[they]

بِـَٔايَٰتِ

biayati

in (the) Signs

رَبِّهِمۡ

rabbihim

(of) their Lord

يُؤۡمِنُونَ

yu'minuna

believe

٥٨

23:59

وَٱلَّذِينَ

wa-alladhina

And those

هُم

hum

[they]

بِرَبِّهِمۡ

birabbihim

with their Lord

لَا

(do) not

يُشۡرِكُونَ

yush'rikuna

associate partners

23:60

وَٱلَّذِينَ

wa-alladhina

And those who

يُؤۡتُونَ

yu'tuna

give

مَآ

what

ءَاتَواْ

ataw

they give

وَّقُلُوبُهُمۡ

waqulubuhum

while their hearts

وَجِلَةٌ

wajilatun

(are) fearful

أَنَّهُمۡ

annahum

because they

إِلَىٰ

ila

رَبِّهِمۡ

rabbihim

their Lord

رَٰجِعُونَ

raji'una

(will) return

٦٠

23:61

أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ

ulaika

(It is) those

يُسَٰرِعُونَ

yusari'una

who hasten

فِي

ٱلۡخَيۡرَٰتِ

al-khayrati

the good (deeds)

وَهُمۡ

wahum

and they

لَهَا

laha

in them

سَٰبِقُونَ

sabiquna

(are) foremost

٦١

23:62

وَلَا

wala

And not

نُكَلِّفُ

nukallifu

We burden

نَفۡسًا

nafsan

any soul

إِلَّا

illa

except

وُسۡعَهَاۚ

wus'aha

(to) its capacity

وَلَدَيۡنَا

waladayna

and with Us

كِتَٰبٞ

kitabun

(is) a Record

يَنطِقُ

yantiqu

(which) speaks

بِٱلۡحَقِّ

bil-haqi

with the truth

وَهُمۡ

wahum

and they

لَا

(will) not

يُظۡلَمُونَ

yuz'lamuna

be wronged

٦٢

23:63

بَلۡ

bal

Nay

قُلُوبُهُمۡ

qulubuhum

their hearts

فِي

(are) in

غَمۡرَةٖ

ghamratin

confusion

مِّنۡ

min

over

هَٰذَا

hadha

this

وَلَهُمۡ

walahum

and for them

أَعۡمَٰلٞ

a'malun

(are) deeds

مِّن

min

besides

دُونِ

duni

besides

ذَٰلِكَ

dhalika

that

هُمۡ

hum

they

لَهَا

laha

for it

عَٰمِلُونَ

amiluna

(are) doers

٦٣

23:64

حَتَّىٰٓ

hatta

Until

إِذَآ

idha

when

أَخَذۡنَا

akhadhna

We seize

مُتۡرَفِيهِم

mut'rafihim

their affluent ones

بِٱلۡعَذَابِ

bil-'adhabi

with the punishment

إِذَا

idha

behold

هُمۡ

hum

They

يَجۡـَٔرُونَ

yajaruna

cry for help

٦٤

23:65

لَا

(Do) not

تَجۡـَٔرُواْ

tajaru

cry for help

ٱلۡيَوۡمَۖ

al-yawma

today

إِنَّكُم

innakum

Indeed you

مِّنَّا

minna

from Us

لَا

not

تُنصَرُونَ

tunsaruna

will be helped

٦٥

23:66

قَدۡ

qad

Verily

كَانَتۡ

kanat

were

ءَايَٰتِي

ayati

My Verses

تُتۡلَىٰ

tut'la

recited

عَلَيۡكُمۡ

alaykum

to you

فَكُنتُمۡ

fakuntum

but you used

عَلَىٰٓ

ala

(to) on

أَعۡقَٰبِكُمۡ

a'qabikum

your heels

تَنكِصُونَ

tankisuna

turn back

٦٦

23:67

مُسۡتَكۡبِرِينَ

mus'takbirina

(Being) arrogant

بِهِۦ

bihi

about it

سَٰمِرٗا

samiran

conversing by night

تَهۡجُرُونَ

tahjuruna

speaking evil

٦٧

23:68

أَفَلَمۡ

afalam

Then do not

يَدَّبَّرُواْ

yaddabbaru

they ponder

ٱلۡقَوۡلَ

al-qawla

the Word

أَمۡ

جَآءَهُم

jaahum

has come to them

مَّا

what

لَمۡ

lam

not

يَأۡتِ

yati

(had) come

ءَابَآءَهُمُ

abaahumu

(to) their forefathers

ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ

al-awalina

(to) their forefathers

٦٨

23:69

أَمۡ

لَمۡ

lam

(do) not

يَعۡرِفُواْ

ya'rifu

they recognize

رَسُولَهُمۡ

rasulahum

their Messenger

فَهُمۡ

fahum

so they

لَهُۥ

lahu

(are) rejecting him

مُنكِرُونَ

munkiruna

(are) rejecting him

٦٩

23:70

أَمۡ

يَقُولُونَ

yaquluna

they say

بِهِۦ

bihi

In him

جِنَّةُۢۚ

jinnatun

(is) madness

بَلۡ

bal

Nay

جَآءَهُم

jaahum

he brought them

بِٱلۡحَقِّ

bil-haqi

the truth

وَأَكۡثَرُهُمۡ

wa-aktharuhum

but most of them

لِلۡحَقِّ

lil'haqqi

to the truth

كَٰرِهُونَ

karihuna

(are) averse

٧٠

23:71

وَلَوِ

walawi

But if

ٱتَّبَعَ

ittaba'a

(had) followed

ٱلۡحَقُّ

al-haqu

the truth

أَهۡوَآءَهُمۡ

ahwaahum

their desires

لَفَسَدَتِ

lafasadati

surely (would) have been corrupted

ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ

al-samawatu

the heavens

وَٱلۡأَرۡضُ

wal-ardu

and the earth

وَمَن

waman

and whoever

فِيهِنَّۚ

fihinna

(is) therein

بَلۡ

bal

Nay

أَتَيۡنَٰهُم

ataynahum

We have brought them

بِذِكۡرِهِمۡ

bidhik'rihim

their reminder

فَهُمۡ

fahum

but they

عَن

from

ذِكۡرِهِم

dhik'rihim

their reminder

مُّعۡرِضُونَ

mu'riduna

(are) turning away

٧١

23:72

أَمۡ

تَسۡـَٔلُهُمۡ

tasaluhum

you ask them

خَرۡجٗا

kharjan

(for) a payment

فَخَرَاجُ

fakharaju

But the payment

رَبِّكَ

rabbika

(of) your Lord

خَيۡرٞۖ

khayrun

(is) best

وَهُوَ

wahuwa

and He

خَيۡرُ

khayru

(is) the Best

ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ

al-raziqina

(of) the Providers

٧٢

23:73

وَإِنَّكَ

wa-innaka

And indeed you

لَتَدۡعُوهُمۡ

latad'uhum

certainly call them

إِلَىٰ

ila

صِرَٰطٖ

siratin

(the) Path

مُّسۡتَقِيمٖ

mus'taqimin

Straight

٧٣

23:74

وَإِنَّ

wa-inna

And indeed

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhina

those who

لَا

(do) not

يُؤۡمِنُونَ

yu'minuna

believe

بِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ

bil-akhirati

in the Hereafter

عَنِ

ani

from

ٱلصِّرَٰطِ

al-sirati

the path

لَنَٰكِبُونَ

lanakibuna

surely (are) deviating

٧٤
