2:203
۞وَٱذۡكُرُواْ
wa-udh'kuru
And remember
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
فِيٓ
fi
during
أَيَّامٖ
ayyamin
days
مَّعۡدُودَٰتٖۚ
ma'dudatin
numbered
فَمَن
faman
Then (he) who
تَعَجَّلَ
ta'ajjala
hurries
فِي
fi
in
يَوۡمَيۡنِ
yawmayni
two days
فَلَآ
fala
then no
إِثۡمَ
ith'ma
sin
عَلَيۡهِ
alayhi
upon him
وَمَن
waman
and whoever
تَأَخَّرَ
ta-akhara
delays
فَلَآ
fala
then no
إِثۡمَ
ith'ma
sin
عَلَيۡهِۖ
alayhi
upon him
لِمَنِ
limani
for (the one) who
ٱتَّقَىٰۗ
ittaqa
fears
وَٱتَّقُواْ
wa-ittaqu
And fear
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
وَٱعۡلَمُوٓاْ
wa-i'lamu
and know
أَنَّكُمۡ
annakum
that you
إِلَيۡهِ
ilayhi
unto Him
تُحۡشَرُونَ
tuh'sharuna
will be gathered
٢٠٣
2:204
وَمِنَ
wamina
And of
ٱلنَّاسِ
al-nasi
the people
مَن
man
(is the one) who
يُعۡجِبُكَ
yu'jibuka
pleases you
قَوۡلُهُۥ
qawluhu
(with) his speech
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ
al-hayati
the life
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
al-dun'ya
(of) the world
وَيُشۡهِدُ
wayush'hidu
and he calls to witness
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
عَلَىٰ
ala
on
مَا
ma
what
فِي
fi
(is) in
قَلۡبِهِۦ
qalbihi
his heart
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and he
أَلَدُّ
aladdu
(is) the most quarrelsome
ٱلۡخِصَامِ
al-khisami
(of) opponents
٢٠٤
2:205
وَإِذَا
wa-idha
And when
تَوَلَّىٰ
tawalla
he turns away
سَعَىٰ
sa'a
he strives
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the earth
لِيُفۡسِدَ
liyuf'sida
to spread corruption
فِيهَا
fiha
[in it]
وَيُهۡلِكَ
wayuh'lika
and destroys
ٱلۡحَرۡثَ
al-hartha
the crops
وَٱلنَّسۡلَۚ
wal-nasla
and progeny
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
لَا
la
(does) not
يُحِبُّ
yuhibbu
love
ٱلۡفَسَادَ
al-fasada
[the] corruption
٢٠٥
2:206
وَإِذَا
wa-idha
And when
قِيلَ
qila
it is said
لَهُ
lahu
to him
ٱتَّقِ
ittaqi
Fear
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
أَخَذَتۡهُ
akhadhathu
takes him
ٱلۡعِزَّةُ
al-'izatu
(his) pride
بِٱلۡإِثۡمِۚ
bil-ith'mi
to [the] sins
فَحَسۡبُهُۥ
fahasbuhu
Then enough for him
جَهَنَّمُۖ
jahannamu
(is) Hell
وَلَبِئۡسَ
walabi'sa
[and] surely an evil
ٱلۡمِهَادُ
al-mihadu
[the] resting-place
٢٠٦
2:207
وَمِنَ
wamina
And of
ٱلنَّاسِ
al-nasi
the people
مَن
man
(is the one) who
يَشۡرِي
yashri
sells
نَفۡسَهُ
nafsahu
his own self
ٱبۡتِغَآءَ
ib'tighaa
seeking
مَرۡضَاتِ
mardati
pleasure
ٱللَّهِۚ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
رَءُوفُۢ
raufun
(is) full of Kindness
بِٱلۡعِبَادِ
bil-'ibadi
to His servants
٢٠٧
2:208
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
yaayyuha
O you
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe[d]
ٱدۡخُلُواْ
ud'khulu
Enter
فِي
fi
in
ٱلسِّلۡمِ
al-sil'mi
Islam
كَآفَّةٗ
kaffatan
completely
وَلَا
wala
and (do) not
تَتَّبِعُواْ
tattabi'u
follow
خُطُوَٰتِ
khutuwati
footsteps
ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِۚ
al-shaytani
(of) the Shaitaan
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed he
لَكُمۡ
lakum
(is) for you
عَدُوّٞ
aduwwun
an enemy
مُّبِينٞ
mubinun
open
٢٠٨
2:209
فَإِن
fa-in
Then if
زَلَلۡتُم
zalaltum
you slip
مِّنۢ
min
from
بَعۡدِ
ba'di
after
مَا
ma
[what]
جَآءَتۡكُمُ
jaatkumu
came to you
ٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتُ
al-bayinatu
(from) the clear proofs
فَٱعۡلَمُوٓاْ
fa-i'lamu
then know
أَنَّ
anna
that
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
عَزِيزٌ
azizun
(is) All-Mighty
حَكِيمٌ
hakimun
All-Wise
٢٠٩
2:210
هَلۡ
hal
Are
يَنظُرُونَ
yanzuruna
they waiting
إِلَّآ
illa
[except]
أَن
an
that
يَأۡتِيَهُمُ
yatiyahumu
comes to them
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
فِي
fi
in
ظُلَلٖ
zulalin
(the) shadows
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡغَمَامِ
al-ghamami
[the] clouds
وَٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
wal-malaikatu
and the Angels
وَقُضِيَ
waqudiya
and is decreed
ٱلۡأَمۡرُۚ
al-amru
the matter
وَإِلَى
wa-ila
And to
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
تُرۡجَعُ
tur'ja'u
return
ٱلۡأُمُورُ
al-umuru
(all) the matters
٢١٠

2:211
سَلۡ
sal
Ask
بَنِيٓ
bani
(the) Children
إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ
is'raila
(of) Israel
كَمۡ
kam
how many
ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُم
ataynahum
We gave them
مِّنۡ
min
of
ءَايَةِۭ
ayatin
(the) Sign(s)
بَيِّنَةٖۗ
bayyinatin
clear
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
يُبَدِّلۡ
yubaddil
changes
نِعۡمَةَ
ni'mata
Favor
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
مِنۢ
min
from
بَعۡدِ
ba'di
after
مَا
ma
[what]
جَآءَتۡهُ
jaathu
it (has) come to him
فَإِنَّ
fa-inna
then indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
شَدِيدُ
shadidu
(is) severe
ٱلۡعِقَابِ
al-'iqabi
in [the] chastising
٢١١
2:212
زُيِّنَ
zuyyina
Beautified
لِلَّذِينَ
lilladhina
for those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaru
disbelieve[d]
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةُ
al-hayatu
(is) the life
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
al-dun'ya
(of) the world
وَيَسۡخَرُونَ
wayaskharuna
and they ridicule
مِنَ
mina
[of]
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
ءَامَنُواْۘ
amanu
believe[d]
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhina
And those who
ٱتَّقَوۡاْ
ittaqaw
fear (Allah)
فَوۡقَهُمۡ
fawqahum
(they will be) above them
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(on the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۗ
al-qiyamati
(of) Resurrection
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
يَرۡزُقُ
yarzuqu
provides
مَن
man
whom
يَشَآءُ
yashau
He wills
بِغَيۡرِ
bighayri
without
حِسَابٖ
hisabin
measure
٢١٢
2:213
كَانَ
kana
Was
ٱلنَّاسُ
al-nasu
mankind
أُمَّةٗ
ummatan
a community
وَٰحِدَةٗ
wahidatan
single
فَبَعَثَ
faba'atha
then raised up
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ
al-nabiyina
[the] Prophets
مُبَشِّرِينَ
mubashirina
(as) bearers of glad tidings
وَمُنذِرِينَ
wamundhirina
and (as) warners
وَأَنزَلَ
wa-anzala
and sent down
مَعَهُمُ
ma'ahumu
with them
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
al-kitaba
the Book
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
bil-haqi
in [the] truth
لِيَحۡكُمَ
liyahkuma
to judge
بَيۡنَ
bayna
between
ٱلنَّاسِ
al-nasi
[the] people
فِيمَا
fima
in what
ٱخۡتَلَفُواْ
ikh'talafu
they differed
فِيهِۚ
fihi
[in it]
وَمَا
wama
And (did) not
ٱخۡتَلَفَ
ikh'talafa
differ[ed]
فِيهِ
fihi
in it
إِلَّا
illa
except
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
أُوتُوهُ
utuhu
were given it
مِنۢ
min
from
بَعۡدِ
ba'di
after
مَا
ma
[what]
جَآءَتۡهُمُ
jaathumu
came to them
ٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتُ
al-bayinatu
the clear proofs
بَغۡيَۢا
baghyan
(out of) jealousy
بَيۡنَهُمۡۖ
baynahum
among themselves
فَهَدَى
fahada
And guided
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe[d]
لِمَا
lima
regarding what
ٱخۡتَلَفُواْ
ikh'talafu
they differed
فِيهِ
fihi
[in it]
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡحَقِّ
al-haqi
the Truth
بِإِذۡنِهِۦۗ
bi-idh'nihi
with His permission
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
يَهۡدِي
yahdi
guides
مَن
man
whom
يَشَآءُ
yashau
He wills
إِلَىٰ
ila
to
صِرَٰطٖ
siratin
a path
مُّسۡتَقِيمٍ
mus'taqimin
straight
٢١٣
2:214
أَمۡ
am
Or
حَسِبۡتُمۡ
hasib'tum
(do) you think
أَن
an
that
تَدۡخُلُواْ
tadkhulu
you will enter
ٱلۡجَنَّةَ
al-janata
Paradise
وَلَمَّا
walamma
while not
يَأۡتِكُم
yatikum
(has) come to you
مَّثَلُ
mathalu
like (came to)
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
خَلَوۡاْ
khalaw
passed away
مِن
min
from
قَبۡلِكُمۖ
qablikum
before you
مَّسَّتۡهُمُ
massathumu
Touched them
ٱلۡبَأۡسَآءُ
al-basau
[the] adversity
وَٱلضَّرَّآءُ
wal-darau
and [the] hardship
وَزُلۡزِلُواْ
wazul'zilu
and they were shaken
حَتَّىٰ
hatta
until
يَقُولَ
yaqula
said
ٱلرَّسُولُ
al-rasulu
the Messenger
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhina
and those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believed
مَعَهُۥ
ma'ahu
with him
مَتَىٰ
mata
When
نَصۡرُ
nasru
[will] (the) help
ٱللَّهِۗ
al-lahi
(of) Allah (come)
أَلَآ
ala
Unquestionably
إِنَّ
inna
[Indeed]
نَصۡرَ
nasra
help
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
قَرِيبٞ
qaribun
(is) near
٢١٤
2:215
يَسۡـَٔلُونَكَ
yasalunaka
They ask you
مَاذَا
madha
what
يُنفِقُونَۖ
yunfiquna
they (should) spend
قُلۡ
qul
Say
مَآ
ma
Whatever
أَنفَقۡتُم
anfaqtum
you spend
مِّنۡ
min
of
خَيۡرٖ
khayrin
good
فَلِلۡوَٰلِدَيۡنِ
falil'walidayni
(is) for parents
وَٱلۡأَقۡرَبِينَ
wal-aqrabina
and the relatives
وَٱلۡيَتَٰمَىٰ
wal-yatama
and the orphans
وَٱلۡمَسَٰكِينِ
wal-masakini
and the needy
وَٱبۡنِ
wa-ib'ni
and (of)
ٱلسَّبِيلِۗ
al-sabili
the wayfarer
وَمَا
wama
And whatever
تَفۡعَلُواْ
taf 'alu
you do
مِنۡ
min
of
خَيۡرٖ
khayrin
good
فَإِنَّ
fa-inna
So indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
بِهِۦ
bihi
of it
عَلِيمٞ
alimun
(is) All-Aware

2:216
كُتِبَ
kutiba
Is prescribed
عَلَيۡكُمُ
alaykumu
upon you
ٱلۡقِتَالُ
al-qitalu
[the] fighting
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
while it
كُرۡهٞ
kur'hun
(is) hateful
لَّكُمۡۖ
lakum
to you
وَعَسَىٰٓ
wa'asa
But perhaps
أَن
an
[that]
تَكۡرَهُواْ
takrahu
you dislike
شَيۡـٔٗا
shayan
a thing
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and it
خَيۡرٞ
khayrun
(is) good
لَّكُمۡۖ
lakum
for you
وَعَسَىٰٓ
wa'asa
and perhaps
أَن
an
[that]
تُحِبُّواْ
tuhibbu
you love
شَيۡـٔٗا
shayan
a thing
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and it
شَرّٞ
sharrun
(is) bad
لَّكُمۡۚ
lakum
for you
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
يَعۡلَمُ
ya'lamu
knows
وَأَنتُمۡ
wa-antum
while you
لَا
la
(do) not
تَعۡلَمُونَ
ta'lamuna
know
٢١٦
2:217
يَسۡـَٔلُونَكَ
yasalunaka
They ask you
عَنِ
ani
about
ٱلشَّهۡرِ
al-shahri
the month
ٱلۡحَرَامِ
al-harami
[the] sacred
قِتَالٖ
qitalin
(concerning) fighting
فِيهِۖ
fihi
in it
قُلۡ
qul
Say
قِتَالٞ
qitalun
Fighting
فِيهِ
fihi
therein
كَبِيرٞۚ
kabirun
(is) a great (sin)
وَصَدٌّ
wasaddun
but hindering (people)
عَن
an
from
سَبِيلِ
sabili
(the) way
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
وَكُفۡرُۢ
wakuf'run
and disbelief
بِهِۦ
bihi
in Him
وَٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ
wal-masjidi
and (preventing access to) Al-Masjid
ٱلۡحَرَامِ
al-harami
Al-Haraam
وَإِخۡرَاجُ
wa-ikh'raju
and driving out
أَهۡلِهِۦ
ahlihi
its people
مِنۡهُ
min'hu
from it
أَكۡبَرُ
akbaru
(is) greater (sin)
عِندَ
inda
near
ٱللَّهِۚ
al-lahi
Allah
وَٱلۡفِتۡنَةُ
wal-fit'natu
And [the] oppression
أَكۡبَرُ
akbaru
(is) greater
مِنَ
mina
than
ٱلۡقَتۡلِۗ
al-qatli
[the] killing
وَلَا
wala
And not
يَزَالُونَ
yazaluna
they will cease
يُقَٰتِلُونَكُمۡ
yuqatilunakum
(to) fight with you
حَتَّىٰ
hatta
until
يَرُدُّوكُمۡ
yaruddukum
they turn you away
عَن
an
from
دِينِكُمۡ
dinikum
your religion
إِنِ
ini
if
ٱسۡتَطَٰعُواْۚ
is'tata'u
they are able
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
يَرۡتَدِدۡ
yartadid
turns away
مِنكُمۡ
minkum
among you
عَن
an
from
دِينِهِۦ
dinihi
his religion
فَيَمُتۡ
fayamut
then dies
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
while he
كَافِرٞ
kafirun
(is) a disbeliever
فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
fa-ulaika
for those
حَبِطَتۡ
habitat
became worthless
أَعۡمَٰلُهُمۡ
a'maluhum
their deeds
فِي
fi
in
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
al-dun'ya
the world
وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةِۖ
wal-akhirati
and the Hereafter
وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
wa-ulaika
And those
أَصۡحَٰبُ
ashabu
(are) companions
ٱلنَّارِۖ
al-nari
(of) the Fire
هُمۡ
hum
they
فِيهَا
fiha
in it
خَٰلِدُونَ
khaliduna
(will) abide forever
٢١٧
2:218
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believed
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhina
and those who
هَاجَرُواْ
hajaru
emigrated
وَجَٰهَدُواْ
wajahadu
and strove
فِي
fi
in
سَبِيلِ
sabili
(the) way
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ulaika
those
يَرۡجُونَ
yarjuna
they hope
رَحۡمَتَ
rahmata
(for) Mercy
ٱللَّهِۚ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
غَفُورٞ
ghafurun
(is) Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٞ
rahimun
Most Merciful
