19:22

۞فَحَمَلَتۡهُ

fahamalathu

So she conceived him

فَٱنتَبَذَتۡ

fa-intabadhat

and she withdrew

بِهِۦ

bihi

with him

مَكَانٗا

makanan

(to) a place

قَصِيّٗا

qasiyyan

remote

٢٢

19:23

فَأَجَآءَهَا

fa-ajaaha

Then drove her

ٱلۡمَخَاضُ

al-makhadu

the pains of childbirth

إِلَىٰ

ila

جِذۡعِ

jidh'i

(the) trunk

ٱلنَّخۡلَةِ

al-nakhlati

(of) the date-palm

قَالَتۡ

qalat

She said

يَٰلَيۡتَنِي

yalaytani

O! I wish

مِتُّ

mittu

I (had) died

قَبۡلَ

qabla

before

هَٰذَا

hadha

this

وَكُنتُ

wakuntu

and I was

نَسۡيٗا

nasyan

(in) oblivion

مَّنسِيّٗا

mansiyyan

forgotten

٢٣

19:24

فَنَادَىٰهَا

fanadaha

So cried to her

مِن

min

from

تَحۡتِهَآ

tahtiha

beneath her

أَلَّا

alla

That (do) not

تَحۡزَنِي

tahzani

grieve

قَدۡ

qad

verily

جَعَلَ

ja'ala

(has) placed

رَبُّكِ

rabbuki

your Lord

تَحۡتَكِ

tahtaki

beneath you

سَرِيّٗا

sariyyan

a stream

٢٤

19:25

وَهُزِّيٓ

wahuzzi

And shake

إِلَيۡكِ

ilayki

towards you

بِجِذۡعِ

bijidh'i

(the) trunk

ٱلنَّخۡلَةِ

al-nakhlati

(of) the date-palm

تُسَٰقِطۡ

tusaqit

it will drop

عَلَيۡكِ

alayki

upon you

رُطَبٗا

rutaban

fresh dates

جَنِيّٗا

janiyyan

ripe

٢٥

19:26

فَكُلِي

fakuli

So eat

وَٱشۡرَبِي

wa-ish'rabi

and drink

وَقَرِّي

waqarri

and cool

عَيۡنٗاۖ

aynan

(your) eyes

فَإِمَّا

fa-imma

And if

تَرَيِنَّ

tarayinna

you see

مِنَ

mina

from

ٱلۡبَشَرِ

al-bashari

human being

أَحَدٗا

ahadan

anyone

فَقُولِيٓ

faquli

then say

إِنِّي

inni

Indeed I

نَذَرۡتُ

nadhartu

[I] have vowed

لِلرَّحۡمَٰنِ

lilrrahmani

to the Most Gracious

صَوۡمٗا

sawman

a fast

فَلَنۡ

falan

so not

أُكَلِّمَ

ukallima

I will speak

ٱلۡيَوۡمَ

al-yawma

today

إِنسِيّٗا

insiyyan

(to any) human being

٢٦

19:27

فَأَتَتۡ

fa-atat

Then she came

بِهِۦ

bihi

with him

قَوۡمَهَا

qawmaha

(to) her people

تَحۡمِلُهُۥۖ

tahmiluhu

carrying him

قَالُواْ

qalu

They said

يَٰمَرۡيَمُ

yamaryamu

O Maryam

لَقَدۡ

laqad

Certainly

جِئۡتِ

ji'ti

you (have) brought

شَيۡـٔٗا

shayan

an amazing thing

فَرِيّٗا

fariyyan

an amazing thing

٢٧

19:28

يَٰٓأُخۡتَ

yaukh'ta

O sister

هَٰرُونَ

haruna

(of) Harun

مَا

Not

كَانَ

kana

was

أَبُوكِ

abuki

your father

ٱمۡرَأَ

im'ra-a

an evil man

سَوۡءٖ

sawin

an evil man

وَمَا

wama

and not

كَانَتۡ

kanat

was

أُمُّكِ

ummuki

your mother

بَغِيّٗا

baghiyyan

unchaste

٢٨

19:29

فَأَشَارَتۡ

fa-asharat

Then she pointed

إِلَيۡهِۖ

ilayhi

to him

قَالُواْ

qalu

They said

كَيۡفَ

kayfa

How

نُكَلِّمُ

nukallimu

(can) we speak

مَن

man

(to one) who

كَانَ

kana

فِي

ٱلۡمَهۡدِ

al-mahdi

the cradle

صَبِيّٗا

sabiyyan

a child

٢٩

19:30

قَالَ

qala

He said

إِنِّي

inni

Indeed I am

عَبۡدُ

abdu

a slave

ٱللَّهِ

al-lahi

(of) Allah

ءَاتَىٰنِيَ

ataniya

He gave me

ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ

al-kitaba

the Scripture

وَجَعَلَنِي

waja'alani

and made me

نَبِيّٗا

nabiyyan

a Prophet

٣٠

19:31

وَجَعَلَنِي

waja'alani

And He (has) made me

مُبَارَكًا

mubarakan

blessed

أَيۡنَ

ayna

wherever

مَا

wherever

كُنتُ

kuntu

I am

وَأَوۡصَٰنِي

wa-awsani

and has enjoined (on) me

بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ

bil-salati

[of] the prayer

وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِ

wal-zakati

and zakah

مَا

as long as I am

دُمۡتُ

dum'tu

as long as I am

حَيّٗا

hayyan

alive

٣١

19:32

وَبَرَّۢا

wabarran

And dutiful

بِوَٰلِدَتِي

biwalidati

to my mother

وَلَمۡ

walam

and not

يَجۡعَلۡنِي

yaj'alni

He (has) made me

جَبَّارٗا

jabbaran

insolent

شَقِيّٗا

shaqiyyan

unblessed

٣٢

19:33

وَٱلسَّلَٰمُ

wal-salamu

And peace (be)

عَلَيَّ

alayya

on me

يَوۡمَ

yawma

(the) day

وُلِدتُّ

wulidttu

I was born

وَيَوۡمَ

wayawma

and (the) day

أَمُوتُ

amutu

I will die

وَيَوۡمَ

wayawma

and (the) Day

أُبۡعَثُ

ub'athu

I will be raised

حَيّٗا

hayyan

alive

٣٣

19:34

ذَٰلِكَ

dhalika

That

عِيسَى

isa

(was) Isa

ٱبۡنُ

ub'nu

(the) son

مَرۡيَمَۖ

maryama

(of) Maryam

قَوۡلَ

qawla

a statement

ٱلۡحَقِّ

al-haqi

(of) truth

ٱلَّذِي

alladhi

that which

فِيهِ

fihi

about it

يَمۡتَرُونَ

yamtaruna

they dispute

٣٤

19:35

مَا

Not

كَانَ

kana

(it) is

لِلَّهِ

lillahi

for Allah

أَن

that

يَتَّخِذَ

yattakhidha

He should take

مِن

min

any son

وَلَدٖۖ

waladin

any son

سُبۡحَٰنَهُۥٓۚ

sub'hanahu

Glory be to Him

إِذَا

idha

When

قَضَىٰٓ

qada

He decrees

أَمۡرٗا

amran

a matter

فَإِنَّمَا

fa-innama

then only

يَقُولُ

yaqulu

He says

لَهُۥ

lahu

to it

كُن

kun

فَيَكُونُ

fayakunu

and it is

٣٥

19:36

وَإِنَّ

wa-inna

And indeed

ٱللَّهَ

al-laha

Allah

رَبِّي

rabbi

(is) my Lord

وَرَبُّكُمۡ

warabbukum

and your Lord

فَٱعۡبُدُوهُۚ

fa-u'buduhu

so worship Him

هَٰذَا

hadha

This

صِرَٰطٞ

siratun

(is) a path

مُّسۡتَقِيمٞ

mus'taqimun

straight

٣٦

19:37

فَٱخۡتَلَفَ

fa-ikh'talafa

But differed

ٱلۡأَحۡزَابُ

al-ahzabu

the sects

مِنۢ

min

from among them

بَيۡنِهِمۡۖ

baynihim

from among them

فَوَيۡلٞ

fawaylun

so woe

لِّلَّذِينَ

lilladhina

to those who

كَفَرُواْ

kafaru

disbelieve

مِن

min

from

مَّشۡهَدِ

mashhadi

(the) witnessing

يَوۡمٍ

yawmin

(of) a Day

عَظِيمٍ

azimin

great

٣٧

19:38

أَسۡمِعۡ

asmi'

How they will hear

بِهِمۡ

bihim

How they will hear

وَأَبۡصِرۡ

wa-absir

and how (they will) see

يَوۡمَ

yawma

(the) Day

يَأۡتُونَنَا

yatunana

they will come to Us

لَٰكِنِ

lakini

but

ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ

al-zalimuna

the wrongdoers

ٱلۡيَوۡمَ

al-yawma

today

فِي

(are) in

ضَلَٰلٖ

dalalin

error

مُّبِينٖ

mubinin

clear

٣٨

19:39

وَأَنذِرۡهُمۡ

wa-andhir'hum

And warn them

يَوۡمَ

yawma

(of the) Day

ٱلۡحَسۡرَةِ

al-hasrati

(of) the Regret

إِذۡ

idh

when

قُضِيَ

qudiya

has been decided

ٱلۡأَمۡرُ

al-amru

the matter

وَهُمۡ

wahum

And they

فِي

(are) in

غَفۡلَةٖ

ghaflatin

heedlessness

وَهُمۡ

wahum

and they

لَا

(do) not

يُؤۡمِنُونَ

yu'minuna

believe

٣٩

19:40

إِنَّا

inna

Indeed We

نَحۡنُ

nahnu

[We]

نَرِثُ

narithu

[We] will inherit

ٱلۡأَرۡضَ

al-arda

the earth

وَمَنۡ

waman

and whoever

عَلَيۡهَا

alayha

(is) on it

وَإِلَيۡنَا

wa-ilayna

and to Us

يُرۡجَعُونَ

yur'ja'una

they will be returned

٤٠

19:41

وَٱذۡكُرۡ

wa-udh'kur

And mention

فِي

ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ

al-kitabi

the Book

إِبۡرَٰهِيمَۚ

ib'rahima

Ibrahim

إِنَّهُۥ

innahu

Indeed he

كَانَ

kana

was

صِدِّيقٗا

siddiqan

a man of truth

نَّبِيًّا

nabiyyan

a Prophet

٤١

19:42

إِذۡ

idh

When

قَالَ

qala

he said

لِأَبِيهِ

li-abihi

to his father

يَٰٓأَبَتِ

yaabati

O my father

لِمَ

lima

Why

تَعۡبُدُ

ta'budu

(do) you worship

مَا

that which

لَا

not

يَسۡمَعُ

yasma'u

hears

وَلَا

wala

and not

يُبۡصِرُ

yub'siru

sees

وَلَا

wala

and not

يُغۡنِي

yugh'ni

benefits

عَنكَ

anka

[to] you

شَيۡـٔٗا

shayan

(in) anything

٤٢

19:43

يَٰٓأَبَتِ

yaabati

O my father

إِنِّي

inni

Indeed [I]

قَدۡ

qad

verily

جَآءَنِي

jaani

(has) come to me

مِنَ

mina

ٱلۡعِلۡمِ

al-'il'mi

the knowledge

مَا

what

لَمۡ

lam

not

يَأۡتِكَ

yatika

came to you

فَٱتَّبِعۡنِيٓ

fa-ittabi'ni

so follow me

أَهۡدِكَ

ahdika

I will guide you

صِرَٰطٗا

siratan

(to) the path

سَوِيّٗا

sawiyyan

even

٤٣

19:44

يَٰٓأَبَتِ

yaabati

O my father

لَا

(Do) not

تَعۡبُدِ

ta'budi

worship

ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنَۖ

al-shaytana

the Shaitaan

إِنَّ

inna

Indeed

ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنَ

al-shaytana

the Shaitaan

كَانَ

kana

لِلرَّحۡمَٰنِ

lilrrahmani

to the Most Gracious

عَصِيّٗا

asiyyan

disobedient

٤٤

19:45

يَٰٓأَبَتِ

yaabati

O my father

إِنِّيٓ

inni

Indeed I

أَخَافُ

akhafu

[I] fear

أَن

that

يَمَسَّكَ

yamassaka

will touch you

عَذَابٞ

adhabun

a punishment

مِّنَ

mina

from

ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ

al-rahmani

the Most Gracious

فَتَكُونَ

fatakuna

so you would be

لِلشَّيۡطَٰنِ

lilshaytani

to the Shaitaan

وَلِيّٗا

waliyyan

a friend

٤٥

19:46

قَالَ

qala

He said

أَرَاغِبٌ

araghibun

Do you hate

أَنتَ

anta

Do you hate

عَنۡ

(from)

ءَالِهَتِي

alihati

my gods

يَٰٓإِبۡرَٰهِيمُۖ

yaib'rahimu

O Ibrahim

لَئِن

la-in

Surely if

لَّمۡ

lam

not

تَنتَهِ

tantahi

you desist

لَأَرۡجُمَنَّكَۖ

la-arjumannaka

surely I will stone you

وَٱهۡجُرۡنِي

wa-uh'jur'ni

so leave me

مَلِيّٗا

maliyyan

(for) a prolonged time

٤٦

19:47

قَالَ

qala

He said

سَلَٰمٌ

salamun

Peace (be)

عَلَيۡكَۖ

alayka

on you

سَأَسۡتَغۡفِرُ

sa-astaghfiru

I will ask forgiveness

لَكَ

laka

for you

رَبِّيٓۖ

rabbi

(from) my Lord

إِنَّهُۥ

innahu

Indeed He

كَانَ

kana

بِي

to me

حَفِيّٗا

hafiyyan

Ever Gracious

٤٧

19:48

وَأَعۡتَزِلُكُمۡ

wa-a'tazilukum

And I will leave you

وَمَا

wama

and what

تَدۡعُونَ

tad'una

you invoke

مِن

min

besides

دُونِ

duni

besides

ٱللَّهِ

al-lahi

Allah

وَأَدۡعُواْ

wa-ad'u

and I will invoke

رَبِّي

rabbi

my Lord

عَسَىٰٓ

asa

May be

أَلَّآ

alla

that not

أَكُونَ

akuna

I will be

بِدُعَآءِ

bidu'ai

in invocation

رَبِّي

rabbi

(to) my Lord

شَقِيّٗا

shaqiyyan

unblessed

٤٨

19:49

فَلَمَّا

falamma

So when

ٱعۡتَزَلَهُمۡ

i'tazalahum

he left them

وَمَا

wama

and what

يَعۡبُدُونَ

ya'buduna

they worshipped

مِن

min

besides Allah

دُونِ

duni

besides Allah

ٱللَّهِ

al-lahi

besides Allah

وَهَبۡنَا

wahabna

[and] We bestowed

لَهُۥٓ

lahu

[to] him

إِسۡحَٰقَ

is'haqa

Isaac

وَيَعۡقُوبَۖ

waya'quba

and Yaqub

وَكُلّٗا

wakullan

and each (of them)

جَعَلۡنَا

ja'alna

We made

نَبِيّٗا

nabiyyan

a Prophet

٤٩

19:50

وَوَهَبۡنَا

wawahabna

And We bestowed

لَهُم

lahum

to them

مِّن

min

رَّحۡمَتِنَا

rahmatina

Our Mercy

وَجَعَلۡنَا

waja'alna

and We made

لَهُمۡ

lahum

for them

لِسَانَ

lisana

a truthful mention

صِدۡقٍ

sid'qin

a truthful mention

عَلِيّٗا

aliyyan

high

٥٠

19:51

وَٱذۡكُرۡ

wa-udh'kur

And mention

فِي

ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ

al-kitabi

the Book

مُوسَىٰٓۚ

musa

Musa

إِنَّهُۥ

innahu

Indeed he

كَانَ

kana

was

مُخۡلَصٗا

mukh'lasan

chosen

وَكَانَ

wakana

and was

رَسُولٗا

rasulan

a Messenger

نَّبِيّٗا

nabiyyan

a Prophet

19:52

وَنَٰدَيۡنَٰهُ

wanadaynahu

And We called him

مِن

min

from

جَانِبِ

janibi

(the) side

ٱلطُّورِ

al-turi

(of) the Mount

ٱلۡأَيۡمَنِ

al-aymani

the right

وَقَرَّبۡنَٰهُ

waqarrabnahu

and brought him near

نَجِيّٗا

najiyyan

(for) conversation

٥٢

19:53

وَوَهَبۡنَا

wawahabna

And We bestowed

لَهُۥ

lahu

[to] him

مِن

min

from

رَّحۡمَتِنَآ

rahmatina

Our Mercy

أَخَاهُ

akhahu

his brother

هَٰرُونَ

haruna

Harun

نَبِيّٗا

nabiyyan

a Prophet

٥٣

19:54

وَٱذۡكُرۡ

wa-udh'kur

And mention

فِي

ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ

al-kitabi

the Book

إِسۡمَٰعِيلَۚ

is'ma'ila

Ishmael

إِنَّهُۥ

innahu

Indeed he

كَانَ

kana

was

صَادِقَ

sadiqa

true

ٱلۡوَعۡدِ

al-wa'di

(to his) promise

وَكَانَ

wakana

and was

رَسُولٗا

rasulan

a Messenger

نَّبِيّٗا

nabiyyan

a Prophet

٥٤

19:55

وَكَانَ

wakana

And he used

يَأۡمُرُ

yamuru

(to) enjoin

أَهۡلَهُۥ

ahlahu

(on) his people

بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ

bil-salati

the prayer

وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِ

wal-zakati

and zakah

وَكَانَ

wakana

and was

عِندَ

inda

near

رَبِّهِۦ

rabbihi

his Lord

مَرۡضِيّٗا

mardiyyan

pleasing

٥٥

19:56

وَٱذۡكُرۡ

wa-udh'kur

And mention

فِي

ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ

al-kitabi

the Book

إِدۡرِيسَۚ

id'risa

Idris

إِنَّهُۥ

innahu

Indeed he

كَانَ

kana

was

صِدِّيقٗا

siddiqan

truthful

نَّبِيّٗا

nabiyyan

a Prophet

٥٦

19:57

وَرَفَعۡنَٰهُ

warafa'nahu

And We raised him

مَكَانًا

makanan

(to) a position

عَلِيًّا

aliyyan

high

٥٧

19:58

أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ

ulaika

Those

ٱلَّذِينَ

alladhina

(were) the ones whom

أَنۡعَمَ

an'ama

Allah bestowed favor

ٱللَّهُ

al-lahu

Allah bestowed favor

عَلَيۡهِم

alayhim

upon them

مِّنَ

mina

from (among)

ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ

al-nabiyina

the Prophets

مِن

min

ذُرِّيَّةِ

dhurriyyati

(the) offspring

ءَادَمَ

adama

(of) Adam

وَمِمَّنۡ

wamimman

and of those

حَمَلۡنَا

hamalna

We carried

مَعَ

ma'a

with

نُوحٖ

nuhin

Nuh

وَمِن

wamin

and of

ذُرِّيَّةِ

dhurriyyati

(the) offspring

إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ

ib'rahima

(of) Ibrahim

وَإِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ

wa-is'raila

and Israel

وَمِمَّنۡ

wamimman

and of (those) whom

هَدَيۡنَا

hadayna

We guided

وَٱجۡتَبَيۡنَآۚ

wa-ij'tabayna

and We chose

إِذَا

idha

When

تُتۡلَىٰ

tut'la

were recited

عَلَيۡهِمۡ

alayhim

to them

ءَايَٰتُ

ayatu

(the) Verses

ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ

al-rahmani

(of) the Most Gracious

خَرُّواْۤ

kharru

they fell

سُجَّدٗاۤ

sujjadan

prostrating

وَبُكِيّٗا۩

wabukiyyan

and weeping

٥٨
