17:51أَوۡawOrخَلۡقٗاkhalqana creationمِّمَّاmimmaof whatيَكۡبُرُyakburu(is) greatفِيfiinصُدُورِكُمۡۚsudurikumyour breastsفَسَيَقُولُونَfasayaqulunaThen they will sayمَنmanWhoيُعِيدُنَاۖyu'idunawill restore usقُلِquliSayٱلَّذِيalladhiHe Whoفَطَرَكُمۡfatarakumcreated youأَوَّلَawwala(the) firstمَرَّةٖۚmarratintimeفَسَيُنۡغِضُونَfasayun'ghidunaThen they will shakeإِلَيۡكَilaykaat youرُءُوسَهُمۡruusahumtheir headsوَيَقُولُونَwayaqulunaand they sayمَتَىٰmataWhen (will)هُوَۖhuwait (be)قُلۡqulSayعَسَىٰٓasaPerhapsأَنanthatيَكُونَyakuna(it) will beقَرِيبٗاqaribansoon٥١
17:52يَوۡمَyawma(On) the Dayيَدۡعُوكُمۡyad'ukumHe will call youفَتَسۡتَجِيبُونَfatastajibunaand you will respondبِحَمۡدِهِۦbihamdihiwith His Praiseوَتَظُنُّونَwatazunnunaand you will thinkإِنinnotلَّبِثۡتُمۡlabith'tumyou had remainedإِلَّاillaexceptقَلِيلٗاqalilana little (while)٥٢
17:53وَقُلwaqulAnd sayلِّعِبَادِيli'ibadito My slavesيَقُولُواْyaqulu(to) sayٱلَّتِيallatithatهِيَhiyawhichأَحۡسَنُۚahsanu(is) bestإِنَّinnaIndeedٱلشَّيۡطَٰنَal-shaytanathe Shaitaanيَنزَغُyanzaghusows discordبَيۡنَهُمۡۚbaynahumbetween themإِنَّinnaIndeedٱلشَّيۡطَٰنَal-shaytanathe Shaitaanكَانَkanaisلِلۡإِنسَٰنِlil'insanito the manعَدُوّٗاaduwwanan enemyمُّبِينٗاmubinanclear٥٣
17:54رَّبُّكُمۡrabbukumYour Lordأَعۡلَمُa'lamu(is) most knowingبِكُمۡۖbikumof youإِنinIfيَشَأۡyashaHe willsيَرۡحَمۡكُمۡyarhamkumHe will have mercy on youأَوۡaworإِنinifيَشَأۡyashaHe willsيُعَذِّبۡكُمۡۚyu'adhib'kumHe will punish youوَمَآwamaAnd notأَرۡسَلۡنَٰكَarsalnakaWe have sent youعَلَيۡهِمۡalayhimover themوَكِيلٗاwakilan(as) a guardian٥٤
17:55وَرَبُّكَwarabbukaAnd your Lordأَعۡلَمُa'lamu(is) most knowingبِمَنbimanof whoeverفِيfi(is) inٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِal-samawatithe heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضِۗwal-ardiand the earthوَلَقَدۡwalaqadAnd verilyفَضَّلۡنَاfaddalnaWe have preferredبَعۡضَba'dasomeٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَal-nabiyina(of) the Prophetsعَلَىٰalatoبَعۡضٖۖba'dinothersوَءَاتَيۡنَاwaataynaAnd We gaveدَاوُۥدَdawudaDawoodزَبُورٗاzaburanZaboor٥٥
17:56قُلِquliSayٱدۡعُواْid'uCallٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whomزَعَمۡتُمza'amtumyou claimedمِّنminbesides Himدُونِهِۦdunihibesides Himفَلَاfala[then] notيَمۡلِكُونَyamlikunathey have powerكَشۡفَkashfa(to) removeٱلضُّرِّal-durithe misfortunesعَنكُمۡankumfrom youوَلَاwalaand notتَحۡوِيلًاtahwilan(to) transfer (it)٥٦
17:57أُوْلَٰٓئِكَulaikaThoseٱلَّذِينَalladhinawhomيَدۡعُونَyad'unathey callيَبۡتَغُونَyabtaghunaseekإِلَىٰilatoرَبِّهِمُrabbihimutheir Lordٱلۡوَسِيلَةَal-wasilatathe means of accessأَيُّهُمۡayyuhumwhich of themأَقۡرَبُaqrabu(is) nearestوَيَرۡجُونَwayarjunaand they hopeرَحۡمَتَهُۥrahmatahu(for) His mercyوَيَخَافُونَwayakhafunaand fearعَذَابَهُۥٓۚadhabahuHis punishmentإِنَّinnaIndeedعَذَابَadhaba(the) punishmentرَبِّكَrabbika(of) your Lordكَانَkanaisمَحۡذُورٗاmahdhuran(ever) feared٥٧
17:58وَإِنwa-inAnd notمِّنmin(is) anyقَرۡيَةٍqaryatintownإِلَّاillabutنَحۡنُnahnuWeمُهۡلِكُوهَاmuh'likuha(will) destroy itقَبۡلَqablabeforeيَوۡمِyawmi(the) Dayٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِal-qiyamati(of) the Resurrectionأَوۡaworمُعَذِّبُوهَاmu'adhibuhapunish itعَذَابٗاadhabanwith a punishmentشَدِيدٗاۚshadidansevereكَانَkanaThat isذَٰلِكَdhalikaThat isفِيfiinٱلۡكِتَٰبِal-kitabithe Bookمَسۡطُورٗاmasturanwritten٥٨
17:59وَمَاwamaAnd notمَنَعَنَآmana'anastopped Usأَنanthatنُّرۡسِلَnur'silaWe sendبِٱلۡأٓيَٰتِbil-ayatithe Signsإِلَّآillaexceptأَنanthatكَذَّبَkadhabadeniedبِهَاbihathemٱلۡأَوَّلُونَۚal-awalunathe former (people)وَءَاتَيۡنَاwaataynaAnd We gaveثَمُودَthamudaThamudٱلنَّاقَةَal-naqatathe she-camelمُبۡصِرَةٗmub'siratan(as) a visible signفَظَلَمُواْfazalamubut they wrongedبِهَاۚbihaherوَمَاwamaAnd notنُرۡسِلُnur'siluWe sendبِٱلۡأٓيَٰتِbil-ayatithe Signsإِلَّاillaexceptتَخۡوِيفٗاtakhwifan(as) a warning٥٩
17:60وَإِذۡwa-idhAnd whenقُلۡنَاqul'naWe saidلَكَlakato youإِنَّinnaIndeedرَبَّكَrabbakayour Lordأَحَاطَahatahas encompassedبِٱلنَّاسِۚbil-nasithe mankindوَمَاwamaAnd notجَعَلۡنَاja'alnaWe madeٱلرُّءۡيَاal-ru'yathe visionٱلَّتِيٓallatiwhichأَرَيۡنَٰكَaraynakaWe showed youإِلَّاillaexceptفِتۡنَةٗfit'natan(as) a trialلِّلنَّاسِlilnnasifor mankindوَٱلشَّجَرَةَwal-shajarataand the treeٱلۡمَلۡعُونَةَal-mal'unatathe accursedفِيfiinٱلۡقُرۡءَانِۚal-qur'anithe QuranوَنُخَوِّفُهُمۡwanukhawwifuhumAnd We threaten themفَمَاfamabut notيَزِيدُهُمۡyaziduhumit increases themإِلَّاillaexceptطُغۡيَٰنٗاtugh'yanan(in) transgressionكَبِيرٗاkabirangreat٦٠
17:61وَإِذۡwa-idhAnd whenقُلۡنَاqul'naWe saidلِلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِlil'malaikatito the Angelsٱسۡجُدُواْus'juduProstrateلِأٓدَمَliadamato AdamفَسَجَدُوٓاْfasajaduSo they prostratedإِلَّآillaexceptإِبۡلِيسَib'lisaIblisقَالَqalaHe saidءَأَسۡجُدُa-asjuduShall I prostrateلِمَنۡlimanto (one) whomخَلَقۡتَkhalaqtaYou createdطِينٗاtinan(from) clay٦١
17:62قَالَqalaHe saidأَرَءَيۡتَكَara-aytakaDo You seeهَٰذَاhadhathisٱلَّذِيalladhiwhomكَرَّمۡتَkarramtaYou have honoredعَلَيَّalayyaabove meلَئِنۡla-inIfأَخَّرۡتَنِakhartaniYou give me respiteإِلَىٰilatillيَوۡمِyawmi(the) Dayٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِal-qiyamati(of) the Resurrectionلَأَحۡتَنِكَنَّla-ahtanikannaI will surely destroyذُرِّيَّتَهُۥٓdhurriyyatahuhis offspringإِلَّاillaexceptقَلِيلٗاqalilana few٦٢
17:63قَالَqalaHe saidٱذۡهَبۡidh'habGoفَمَنfamanand whoeverتَبِعَكَtabi'akafollows youمِنۡهُمۡmin'humamong themفَإِنَّfa-innathen indeedجَهَنَّمَjahannamaHellجَزَآؤُكُمۡjazaukum(is) your recompense جَزَآءٗjazaana recompenseمَّوۡفُورٗاmawfuranample٦٣
17:64وَٱسۡتَفۡزِزۡwa-is'tafzizAnd inciteمَنِmaniwhoeverٱسۡتَطَعۡتَis'tata'tayou canمِنۡهُمmin'humamong themبِصَوۡتِكَbisawtikawith your voiceوَأَجۡلِبۡwa-ajliband assaultعَلَيۡهِمalayhim[on] themبِخَيۡلِكَbikhaylikawith your cavalryوَرَجِلِكَwarajilikaand infantryوَشَارِكۡهُمۡwasharik'humand be a partnerفِيfiinٱلۡأَمۡوَٰلِal-amwalithe wealthوَٱلۡأَوۡلَٰدِwal-awladiand the childrenوَعِدۡهُمۡۚwa'id'humand promise themوَمَاwamaAnd notيَعِدُهُمُya'iduhumupromises themٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُal-shaytanuthe Shaitaanإِلَّاillaexceptغُرُورًاghururandelusion٦٤
17:65إِنَّinnaIndeedعِبَادِيibadiMy slavesلَيۡسَlaysanotلَكَlakafor youعَلَيۡهِمۡalayhimover themسُلۡطَٰنٞۚsul'tanunany authorityوَكَفَىٰwakafaAnd sufficientبِرَبِّكَbirabbika(is) your Lordوَكِيلٗاwakilan(as) a Guardian٦٥
17:66رَّبُّكُمُrabbukumuYour Lordٱلَّذِيalladhi(is) the One Whoيُزۡجِيyuz'jidrivesلَكُمُlakumufor youٱلۡفُلۡكَal-ful'kathe shipفِيfiinٱلۡبَحۡرِal-bahrithe seaلِتَبۡتَغُواْlitabtaghuthat you may seekمِنminofفَضۡلِهِۦٓۚfadlihiHis BountyإِنَّهُۥinnahuIndeed Heكَانَkanaisبِكُمۡbikumto youرَحِيمٗاrahimanEver Merciful٦٦
17:67وَإِذَاwa-idhaAnd whenمَسَّكُمُmassakumutouches youٱلضُّرُّal-duruthe hardshipفِيfiinٱلۡبَحۡرِal-bahrithe seaضَلَّdallalostمَنman(are) whoتَدۡعُونَtad'unayou callإِلَّآillaexceptإِيَّاهُۖiyyahuHim AloneفَلَمَّاfalammaBut whenنَجَّىٰكُمۡnajjakumHe delivers youإِلَىilatoٱلۡبَرِّal-barithe landأَعۡرَضۡتُمۡۚa'radtumyou turn awayوَكَانَwakanaAnd isٱلۡإِنسَٰنُal-insanumanكَفُورًاkafuranungrateful٦٧
17:68أَفَأَمِنتُمۡafa-amintumDo you then feel secureأَنanthat (not)يَخۡسِفَyakhsifaHe will cause to swallowبِكُمۡbikumyouجَانِبَjanibasideٱلۡبَرِّal-bari(of) the landأَوۡaworيُرۡسِلَyur'silasendعَلَيۡكُمۡalaykumagainst youحَاصِبٗاhasibana storm of stonesثُمَّthummaThenلَاlanotتَجِدُواْtajiduyou will findلَكُمۡlakumfor youوَكِيلًاwakilana guardian٦٨
17:69أَمۡamOrأَمِنتُمۡamintumdo you feel secureأَنanthat (not)يُعِيدَكُمۡyu'idakumHe will send you backفِيهِfihiinto itتَارَةًtaratananother timeأُخۡرَىٰukh'raanother timeفَيُرۡسِلَfayur'silaand sendعَلَيۡكُمۡalaykumupon youقَاصِفٗاqasifana hurricaneمِّنَminaofٱلرِّيحِal-rihithe windفَيُغۡرِقَكُمfayugh'riqakumand drown youبِمَاbimabecauseكَفَرۡتُمۡkafartumyou disbelievedثُمَّthummaThenلَاlanotتَجِدُواْtajiduyou will findلَكُمۡlakumfor youعَلَيۡنَاalaynaagainst Usبِهِۦbihithereinتَبِيعٗاtabi'anan avenger٦٩
