۞وَقَضَىٰ
Wa-q̣aḍaa
And has decreed
رَبُّكَ
Rabbuka
your Lord
أَلَّا
ʹallaa
that (do) not
تَعۡبُدُوٓاْ
taʻbudooo
worship
إِلَّآ
ʹillaaa
except
إِيَّاهُ
ʹiyyaahu
Him Alone
وَبِٱلۡوَٰلِدَيۡنِ
wa-bilwaalidayni
and to the parents
إِحۡسَٰنًاۚ
ʹiḥsaanaa.
(be) good
إِمَّا
ʹImmaa
Whether
يَبۡلُغَنَّ
yablug̣anna
reach
عِندَكَ
ʻiñdakal
with you
ٱلۡكِبَرَ
kibara
the old age
أَحَدُهُمَآ
ʹaḥaduhumaaa
one of them
أَوۡ
aw
or
كِلَاهُمَا
kilaahumaa
both of them
فَلَا
falaa
then (do) not
تَقُل
taq̣ul
say
لَّهُمَآ
lahumaaa
to both of them
أُفّٖ
ʹuffiñw
a word of disrespect
وَلَا
Walaa
and (do) not
تَنۡهَرۡهُمَا
tanharhumaa
repel them
وَقُل
wa-q̣ul
but speak
لَّهُمَا
lahumaa
to them
قَوۡلٗا
q̣awlañ
a word
كَرِيمٗا
kareemaa.
