14:28

۞أَلَمۡ

ʹAlam

Have not

تَرَ

tara

you seen

إِلَى

ʹilal

[to]

ٱلَّذِينَ

laẓeena

those who

بَدَّلُواْ

baddaloo

(have) changed

نِعۡمَتَ

niʻmatal

(the) Favor

ٱللَّهِ

laahi

(of) Allah

كُفۡرٗا

kufrañw

(for) disbelief

وَأَحَلُّواْ

waʹaḥalloo

and they led

قَوۡمَهُمۡ

q̣awmahum

their people

دَارَ

Daaral

(to the) house

ٱلۡبَوَارِ

Bawaar.―

(of) destruction

٢٨

14:29

جَهَنَّمَ

Jahannama

Hell

يَصۡلَوۡنَهَاۖ

yaṣlawnahaa,

(in) it they will burn

وَبِئۡسَ

wa-biʹsal

and a wretched

ٱلۡقَرَارُ

q̣araar!

place to settle

٢٩

14:30

وَجَعَلُواْ

Wa-jaʻaloo

And they set up

لِلَّهِ

lillaahi

to Allah

أَندَادٗا

ʹañdaadal

equals

لِّيُضِلُّواْ

liyuḍilloo

so that they mislead

عَن

ʻañ

from

سَبِيلِهِۦۗ

Sabeelih!

His Path

قُلۡ

Q̣ul

Say

تَمَتَّعُواْ

tamattaʻoo

Enjoy

فَإِنَّ

faʹinna

but indeed

مَصِيرَكُمۡ

maṣeerakum

your destination

إِلَى

ʹilan

(is) to

ٱلنَّارِ

Naar!

the Fire

٣٠

14:31

قُل

Q̣ul

Say

لِّعِبَادِيَ

liʻibaadiyal

to My slaves

ٱلَّذِينَ

laẓeena

those who

ءَامَنُواْ

ʹaamanoo

believe

يُقِيمُواْ

yuq̣eemuṣ

(to) establish

ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ

ṣalaata

the prayers

وَيُنفِقُواْ

wa-yuñfiq̣oo

and (to) spend

مِمَّا

mimmaa

from what

رَزَقۡنَٰهُمۡ

razaq̣naahum

We have provided them

سِرّٗا

sirrañw

secretly

وَعَلَانِيَةٗ

waʻalaaniyatam

and publicly

مِّن

miñ

before

قَبۡلِ

q̣abli

before

أَن

ʹañy

[that]

يَأۡتِيَ

yaʹtiya

comes

يَوۡمٞ

Yawmul

a Day

لَّا

laa

not

بَيۡعٞ

bayʻuñ

any trade

فِيهِ

feehi

in it

وَلَا

wa-laa

and not

خِلَٰلٌ

khilaal.

any friendship

٣١

14:32

ٱللَّهُ

ʹAllaahul

Allah

ٱلَّذِي

laẓee

(is) the One Who

خَلَقَ

khalaq̣as

created

ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ

samaawaati

the heavens

وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ

wal-ʹarḍa

and the earth

وَأَنزَلَ

wa-ʹañzala

and sent down

مِنَ

minas

from

ٱلسَّمَآءِ

samaaʹi

the sky

مَآءٗ

maaaʹañ

water

فَأَخۡرَجَ

faʹakhraja

then brought forth

بِهِۦ

bihee

from it

مِنَ

minas̤

ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ

s̤amaraati

the fruits

رِزۡقٗا

rizq̣al

(as) a provision

لَّكُمۡۖ

lakum:

for you

وَسَخَّرَ

wa-sakhkhara

and subjected

لَكُمُ

lakumul

for you

ٱلۡفُلۡكَ

fulka

the ships

لِتَجۡرِيَ

litajriya

so that they may sail

فِي

fil

ٱلۡبَحۡرِ

baḥri

the sea

بِأَمۡرِهِۦۖ

biʹAmrih:

by His command

وَسَخَّرَ

wa-sakhkhara

and subjected

لَكُمُ

lakumul

for you

ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرَ

ʹanhaar.

the rivers

٣٢

14:33

وَسَخَّرَ

Wa-sakhkhara

And He subjected

لَكُمُ

lakumush

for you

ٱلشَّمۡسَ

shamsa

the sun

وَٱلۡقَمَرَ

walq̣amara

and the moon

دَآئِبَيۡنِۖ

daaaʹibayni;

both constantly pursuing their courses

وَسَخَّرَ

wa-sakhkhara

and subjected

لَكُمُ

lakumul

for you

ٱلَّيۡلَ

layla

the night

وَٱلنَّهَارَ

wan-Nahaar.

and the day

14:34

وَءَاتَىٰكُم

Waʹaataakum

And He gave you

مِّن

miñ

كُلِّ

kulli

all

مَا

maa-

what

سَأَلۡتُمُوهُۚ

saʹaltumooh.

you asked of Him

وَإِن

Wa-ʹiñ

And if

تَعُدُّواْ

taʻuddoo

you count

نِعۡمَتَ

niʻmatal

(the) Favor of Allah

ٱللَّهِ

laahi

(the) Favor of Allah

لَا

laa-

not

تُحۡصُوهَآۗ

tuḥṣoohaa.

you will (be able to) count them

إِنَّ

ʹInnal

Indeed

ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ

ʹiñsaana

the mankind

لَظَلُومٞ

laz̤̣aloomuñ

(is) surely unjust

كَفَّارٞ

kaffaar.

(and) ungrateful

٣٤

14:35

وَإِذۡ

Wa-ʹiẓ

And when

قَالَ

q̣aala

said

إِبۡرَٰهِيمُ

ʹIbraaheemu

Ibrahim

رَبِّ

Rabbij

My Lord

ٱجۡعَلۡ

ʻal

Make

هَٰذَا

haaẓal

this

ٱلۡبَلَدَ

Balada

city

ءَامِنٗا

ʹaaminañw

safe

وَٱجۡنُبۡنِي

wajnubnee

and keep me away

وَبَنِيَّ

wa-baniyya

and my sons

أَن

ʹan

that

نَّعۡبُدَ

naʻbudal

we worship

ٱلۡأَصۡنَامَ

ʹaṣnaam.

the idols

٣٥

14:36

رَبِّ

Rabbi

My Lord

إِنَّهُنَّ

ʹinnahunna

Indeed they

أَضۡلَلۡنَ

ʹaḍlalna

have led astray

كَثِيرٗا

kas̤eeram

many

مِّنَ

minan

among

ٱلنَّاسِۖ

naas;

the mankind

فَمَن

famañ

So whoever

تَبِعَنِي

tabiʻanee

follows me

فَإِنَّهُۥ

faʹinnahoo

then indeed he

مِنِّيۖ

minnee,

(is) of me

وَمَنۡ

wa-man

and whoever

عَصَانِي

ʻaṣaanee

disobeys me

فَإِنَّكَ

faʹinnaka

then indeed You

غَفُورٞ

G̣afoorur

(are) Oft-Forgiving

رَّحِيمٞ

Raḥeem.

Most Merciful

٣٦

14:37

رَّبَّنَآ

Rabbanaaa

Our Lord

إِنِّيٓ

ʹinneee

Indeed I

أَسۡكَنتُ

ʹaskañtu

[I] have settled

مِن

miñ

(some) of

ذُرِّيَّتِي

ẓurriyyatee

my offsprings

بِوَادٍ

biwaadin

in a valley

غَيۡرِ

g̣ayri

not

ذِي

ẓee

with

زَرۡعٍ

zarʻin

cultivation

عِندَ

ʻiñda

near

بَيۡتِكَ

Baytikal

Your Sacred House

ٱلۡمُحَرَّمِ

Muḥarrami

Your Sacred House

رَبَّنَا

Rabbanaa

our Lord

لِيُقِيمُواْ

liyuq̣eemus

That they may establish

ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ

Ṣalaata

the prayers

فَٱجۡعَلۡ

fajʻal

So make

أَفۡـِٔدَةٗ

ʹafʹidatam

hearts

مِّنَ

minan

ٱلنَّاسِ

naasi

the men

تَهۡوِيٓ

tahweee

incline

إِلَيۡهِمۡ

ʹilayhim

towards them

وَٱرۡزُقۡهُم

warzuq̣hum

and provide them

مِّنَ

minas̤

with

ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ

s̤amaraati

the fruits

لَعَلَّهُمۡ

laʻallahum

so that they may

يَشۡكُرُونَ

yashkuroon.

be grateful

٣٧

14:38

رَبَّنَآ

Rabbanaaa

Our Lord

إِنَّكَ

ʹinnaka

Indeed You

تَعۡلَمُ

taʻlamu

You know

مَا

maa-

what

نُخۡفِي

nukhfee

we conceal

وَمَا

wa-maa

and what

نُعۡلِنُۗ

nuʻlin:

we proclaim

وَمَا

wa-maa

And not

يَخۡفَىٰ

yakhfaa

(is) hidden

عَلَى

ʻalal

from

ٱللَّهِ

laahi

Allah

مِن

miñ

any

شَيۡءٖ

shayʹiñ

thing

فِي

fil

ٱلۡأَرۡضِ

ʹarḍi

the earth

وَلَا

wa-laa

and not

فِي

fis

ٱلسَّمَآءِ

samaaaʹ.

the heaven

٣٨

14:39

ٱلۡحَمۡدُ

ʹAl-Ḥamdu

All the Praise

لِلَّهِ

lillaahil

(is) for Allah

ٱلَّذِي

laẓee

the One Who

وَهَبَ

wahaba

has granted

لِي

lee

عَلَى

ʻalal

ٱلۡكِبَرِ

kibari

the old age

إِسۡمَٰعِيلَ

ʹIsmaaʻeela

Ishmael

وَإِسۡحَٰقَۚ

wa-ʹIsḥaaq̣:

and Isaac

إِنَّ

ʹInna

Indeed

رَبِّي

Rabbee

my Lord

لَسَمِيعُ

la-Sameeʻud

(is) All-Hearer

ٱلدُّعَآءِ

duʻaaaʹ!

(of) the prayer

٣٩

14:40

رَبِّ

Rabbij

My Lord

ٱجۡعَلۡنِي

ʻalnee

Make me

مُقِيمَ

muq̣eemaṣ

an establisher

ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ

Ṣalaati

(of) the prayer

وَمِن

wa-miñ

and from

ذُرِّيَّتِيۚ

ẓurriyyatee,

my offsprings

رَبَّنَا

Rabbanaa

Our Lord

وَتَقَبَّلۡ

wa-taq̣abbal

and accept

دُعَآءِ

Duʻaaaʹ.

my prayer

14:41

رَبَّنَا

Rabbanag̣

Our Lord

ٱغۡفِرۡ

fir

Forgive

لِي

lee

وَلِوَٰلِدَيَّ

wa-liwaalidayya

and my parents

وَلِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

wa-lil-Muʹmineena

and the believers

يَوۡمَ

Yawma

(on) the Day

يَقُومُ

yaq̣oomul

will (be) established

ٱلۡحِسَابُ

Ḥisaab!

the account

٤١

14:42

وَلَا

Wa-laa

And (do) not

تَحۡسَبَنَّ

taḥsabannal

think

ٱللَّهَ

laaha

(that) Allah

غَٰفِلًا

g̣aafilan

(is) unaware

عَمَّا

ʻammaa

of what

يَعۡمَلُ

yaʻmaluz̤̣

ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَۚ

z̤̣aalimoon.

the wrongdoers

إِنَّمَا

ʹInnamaa

Only

يُؤَخِّرُهُمۡ

yuʹakhkhiruhum

He gives them respite

لِيَوۡمٖ

li-Yawmiñ

to a Day

تَشۡخَصُ

tashkhaṣu

will stare

فِيهِ

feehil

in it

ٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرُ

ʹabṣaar,―

the eyes

14:43

مُهۡطِعِينَ

Muhṭiʻeena

Racing ahead

مُقۡنِعِي

muq̣niʻee

raised up

رُءُوسِهِمۡ

ruʹoosihim

their heads

لَا

laa-

not

يَرۡتَدُّ

yartaddu

returning

إِلَيۡهِمۡ

ʹilayhim

towards them

طَرۡفُهُمۡۖ

ṭarfuhum,

their gaze

وَأَفۡـِٔدَتُهُمۡ

wa-ʹafʹidatuhum

and their hearts

هَوَآءٞ

hawaaaʹ!

(are) empty

٤٣

14:44

وَأَنذِرِ

Wa-ʹañẓirin

And warn

ٱلنَّاسَ

naasa

the mankind

يَوۡمَ

Yawma

(of) a Day

يَأۡتِيهِمُ

yaʹteehimul

(when) will come to them

ٱلۡعَذَابُ

ʻAẓaabu

the punishment

فَيَقُولُ

fayaq̣oolul

then will say

ٱلَّذِينَ

laẓeena

those who

ظَلَمُواْ

z̤̣alamoo

did wrong

رَبَّنَآ

Rabbanaaa

Our Lord

أَخِّرۡنَآ

ʹakhkhirnaaa

Respite us

إِلَىٰٓ

ʹilaaa

for

أَجَلٖ

ʹajaliñ

a term

قَرِيبٖ

q̣areebin

short

نُّجِبۡ

nujib

we will answer

دَعۡوَتَكَ

Daʻwataka

Your call

وَنَتَّبِعِ

wa-nattabiʻir

and we will follow

ٱلرُّسُلَۗ

rusul!

the Messengers

أَوَلَمۡ

ʹAwalam

Had not

تَكُونُوٓاْ

takoonooo

you

أَقۡسَمۡتُم

ʹaq̣samtum

sworn

مِّن

miñ

before

قَبۡلُ

q̣ablu

before

مَا

maa-

not

لَكُم

lakum

for you

مِّن

miñ

any

زَوَالٖ

zawaal?

end

٤٤

14:45

وَسَكَنتُمۡ

Wa-sakañtum

And you dwelt

فِي

fee

مَسَٰكِنِ

masaakinil

the dwellings

ٱلَّذِينَ

laẓeena

(of) those who

ظَلَمُوٓاْ

z̤̣alamooo

wronged

أَنفُسَهُمۡ

ʹañfusahum

themselves

وَتَبَيَّنَ

wa-tabayyana

and it had become clear

لَكُمۡ

lakum

to you

كَيۡفَ

kayfa

how

فَعَلۡنَا

faʻalnaa

We dealt

بِهِمۡ

bihim

with them

وَضَرَبۡنَا

wa-ḍarabnaa

and We put forth

لَكُمُ

lakumul

for you

ٱلۡأَمۡثَالَ

ʹAms̤aal!

the examples

٤٥

14:46

وَقَدۡ

Wa-q̣ad

And indeed

مَكَرُواْ

makaroo

they planned

مَكۡرَهُمۡ

makrahum:

their plan

وَعِندَ

wa-ʻindal

but with

ٱللَّهِ

laahi

Allah

مَكۡرُهُمۡ

makruhum:

(was) their plan

وَإِن

wa-ʹiñ

even if

كَانَ

kaana

was

مَكۡرُهُمۡ

makruhum

their plan

لِتَزُولَ

litazoola

that should be moved

مِنۡهُ

minhul

by it

ٱلۡجِبَالُ

jibaal!

the mountains

٤٦

14:47

فَلَا

Falaa

So (do) not

تَحۡسَبَنَّ

taḥsabannal

think

ٱللَّهَ

laaha

(that) Allah

مُخۡلِفَ

mukhlifa

will fail

وَعۡدِهِۦ

waʻdihee

(to) keep His Promise

رُسُلَهُۥٓۚ

rusulah:

(to) His Messengers

إِنَّ

ʹinnal

Indeed

ٱللَّهَ

laaha

Allah

عَزِيزٞ

ʻAzeezuñ

(is) All-Mighty

ذُو

Ẓuñ

Owner (of) Retribution

ٱنتِقَامٖ

tiq̣aam.

Owner (of) Retribution

٤٧

14:48

يَوۡمَ

Yawma

(On the) Day

تُبَدَّلُ

tubaddalul

will be changed

ٱلۡأَرۡضُ

ʹArḍu

the earth

غَيۡرَ

g̣ayral

(to) other (than)

ٱلۡأَرۡضِ

ʹArḍi

the earth

وَٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُۖ

was-Samaawaatu

and the heavens

وَبَرَزُواْ

wa-barazoo

and they will come forth

لِلَّهِ

lillaahil

before Allah

ٱلۡوَٰحِدِ

Waaḥidil

the One

ٱلۡقَهَّارِ

Q̣ahhaar;

the Irresistible

٤٨

14:49

وَتَرَى

Wa-taral

And you will see

ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ

Mujrimeena

the criminals

يَوۡمَئِذٖ

yawmaʹiẓim

(on) that Day

مُّقَرَّنِينَ

muq̣arraneena

bound together

فِي

fil

ٱلۡأَصۡفَادِ

ʹaṣfaad;

the chains

٤٩

14:50

سَرَابِيلُهُم

Saraabeeluhum

Their garments

مِّن

miñ

قَطِرَانٖ

q̣aṭiraaniñw

tar

وَتَغۡشَىٰ

watag̣shaa

and will cover

وُجُوهَهُمُ

wujoohahumun

their faces

ٱلنَّارُ

Naar:

the Fire

٥٠

14:51

لِيَجۡزِيَ

Liyajziyal

So that Allah may recompense

ٱللَّهُ

laahu

So that Allah may recompense

كُلَّ

kulla

each

نَفۡسٖ

nafsim

soul

مَّا

maa

(for) what

كَسَبَتۡۚ

kasabat;

it earned

إِنَّ

ʹinnal

Indeed

ٱللَّهَ

laaha

Allah

سَرِيعُ

Sareeʻul

(is) Swift

ٱلۡحِسَابِ

Ḥisaab.

(in) the reckoning

14:52

هَٰذَا

Haaẓaa

This

بَلَٰغٞ

Balaag̣ul

(is) a Message

لِّلنَّاسِ

linnaasi

for the mankind

وَلِيُنذَرُواْ

wa-liyuñẓaroo

that they may be warned

بِهِۦ

bihee

with it

وَلِيَعۡلَمُوٓاْ

wa-liyaʻlamooo

and that they may know

أَنَّمَا

ʹannamaa

that only

هُوَ

Huwa

إِلَٰهٞ

ʹIlaahuñw

(is) One God

وَٰحِدٞ

Waaḥiduñw

(is) One God

وَلِيَذَّكَّرَ

Waliyaẓẓakkara

and that may take heed

أُوْلُواْ

ʹulul

men

ٱلۡأَلۡبَٰبِ

ʹalbaab.

(of) understanding
