14:10
۞قَالَتۡ
qalat
Said
رُسُلُهُمۡ
rusuluhum
their Messengers
أَفِي
afi
Can (there) be about
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
شَكّٞ
shakkun
any doubt
فَاطِرِ
fatiri
(the) Creator
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
(of) the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ
wal-ardi
and the earth
يَدۡعُوكُمۡ
yad'ukum
He invites you
لِيَغۡفِرَ
liyaghfira
so that He may forgive
لَكُم
lakum
for you
مِّن
min
[of]
ذُنُوبِكُمۡ
dhunubikum
your sins
وَيُؤَخِّرَكُمۡ
wayu-akhirakum
and give you respite
إِلَىٰٓ
ila
for
أَجَلٖ
ajalin
a term
مُّسَمّٗىۚ
musamman
appointed
قَالُوٓاْ
qalu
They said
إِنۡ
in
Not
أَنتُمۡ
antum
you
إِلَّا
illa
(are) but
بَشَرٞ
basharun
a human
مِّثۡلُنَا
mith'luna
like us
تُرِيدُونَ
turiduna
you wish
أَن
an
to
تَصُدُّونَا
tasudduna
hinder us
عَمَّا
amma
from what
كَانَ
kana
used to
يَعۡبُدُ
ya'budu
worship
ءَابَآؤُنَا
abauna
our forefathers
فَأۡتُونَا
fatuna
So bring us
بِسُلۡطَٰنٖ
bisul'tanin
an authority
مُّبِينٖ
mubinin
clear

14:11
قَالَتۡ
qalat
Said
لَهُمۡ
lahum
to them
رُسُلُهُمۡ
rusuluhum
their Messengers
إِن
in
Not
نَّحۡنُ
nahnu
we (are)
إِلَّا
illa
but
بَشَرٞ
basharun
a human
مِّثۡلُكُمۡ
mith'lukum
like you
وَلَٰكِنَّ
walakinna
but
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
يَمُنُّ
yamunnu
bestows His Grace
عَلَىٰ
ala
on
مَن
man
whom
يَشَآءُ
yashau
He wills
مِنۡ
min
of
عِبَادِهِۦۖ
ibadihi
His slaves
وَمَا
wama
And not
كَانَ
kana
is
لَنَآ
lana
for us
أَن
an
that
نَّأۡتِيَكُم
natiyakum
we bring you
بِسُلۡطَٰنٍ
bisul'tanin
an authority
إِلَّا
illa
except
بِإِذۡنِ
bi-idh'ni
by the permission of Allah
ٱللَّهِۚ
al-lahi
by the permission of Allah
وَعَلَى
wa'ala
And upon
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
فَلۡيَتَوَكَّلِ
falyatawakkali
so let put (their) trust
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ
al-mu'minuna
the believers
١١
14:12
وَمَا
wama
And what
لَنَآ
lana
(is) for us
أَلَّا
alla
that not
نَتَوَكَّلَ
natawakkala
we put our trust
عَلَى
ala
upon
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
وَقَدۡ
waqad
while certainly
هَدَىٰنَا
hadana
He has guided us
سُبُلَنَاۚ
subulana
to our ways
وَلَنَصۡبِرَنَّ
walanasbiranna
And surely we will bear with patience
عَلَىٰ
ala
on
مَآ
ma
what
ءَاذَيۡتُمُونَاۚ
adhaytumuna
harm you may cause us
وَعَلَى
wa'ala
And upon
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
فَلۡيَتَوَكَّلِ
falyatawakkali
so let put (their) trust
ٱلۡمُتَوَكِّلُونَ
al-mutawakiluna
the ones who put (their) trust
١٢
14:13
وَقَالَ
waqala
And said
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaru
disbelieved
لِرُسُلِهِمۡ
lirusulihim
to their Messengers
لَنُخۡرِجَنَّكُم
lanukh'rijannakum
Surely we will drive you out
مِّنۡ
min
of
أَرۡضِنَآ
ardina
our land
أَوۡ
aw
or
لَتَعُودُنَّ
lata'udunna
surely you should return
فِي
fi
to
مِلَّتِنَاۖ
millatina
our religion
فَأَوۡحَىٰٓ
fa-awha
So inspired
إِلَيۡهِمۡ
ilayhim
to them
رَبُّهُمۡ
rabbuhum
their Lord
لَنُهۡلِكَنَّ
lanuh'likanna
We will surely destroy
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
al-zalimina
the wrongdoers
١٣
14:14
وَلَنُسۡكِنَنَّكُمُ
walanus'kinannakumu
And surely We will make you dwell
ٱلۡأَرۡضَ
al-arda
(in) the land
مِنۢ
min
after them
بَعۡدِهِمۡۚ
ba'dihim
after them
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
That
لِمَنۡ
liman
(is) for whoever
خَافَ
khafa
fears
مَقَامِي
maqami
standing before Me
وَخَافَ
wakhafa
and fears
وَعِيدِ
wa'idi
My Threat
١٤
14:15
وَٱسۡتَفۡتَحُواْ
wa-is'taftahu
And they sought victory
وَخَابَ
wakhaba
and disappointed
كُلُّ
kullu
every
جَبَّارٍ
jabbarin
tyrant
عَنِيدٖ
anidin
obstinate
١٥
14:16
مِّن
min
of him
وَرَآئِهِۦ
waraihi
Ahead
جَهَنَّمُ
jahannamu
(is) Hell
وَيُسۡقَىٰ
wayus'qa
and he will be made to drink
مِن
min
of
مَّآءٖ
main
water
صَدِيدٖ
sadidin
purulent
١٦
14:17
يَتَجَرَّعُهُۥ
yatajarra'uhu
He will sip it
وَلَا
wala
but not
يَكَادُ
yakadu
he will be near
يُسِيغُهُۥ
yusighuhu
(to) swallowing it
وَيَأۡتِيهِ
wayatihi
And will come to him
ٱلۡمَوۡتُ
al-mawtu
the death
مِن
min
from
كُلِّ
kulli
every
مَكَانٖ
makanin
side
وَمَا
wama
but not
هُوَ
huwa
he
بِمَيِّتٖۖ
bimayyitin
will die
وَمِن
wamin
And ahead of him
وَرَآئِهِۦ
waraihi
And ahead of him
عَذَابٌ
adhabun
(is) a punishment
غَلِيظٞ
ghalizun
harsh
١٧
14:18
مَّثَلُ
mathalu
(The) example
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
(of) those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaru
disbelieve
بِرَبِّهِمۡۖ
birabbihim
in their Lord
أَعۡمَٰلُهُمۡ
a'maluhum
their deeds
كَرَمَادٍ
karamadin
(are) like ashes
ٱشۡتَدَّتۡ
ish'taddat
blows furiously
بِهِ
bihi
on it
ٱلرِّيحُ
al-rihu
the wind
فِي
fi
in
يَوۡمٍ
yawmin
a day
عَاصِفٖۖ
asifin
stormy
لَّا
la
No
يَقۡدِرُونَ
yaqdiruna
control (they have)
مِمَّا
mimma
of what
كَسَبُواْ
kasabu
they have earned
عَلَىٰ
ala
on
شَيۡءٖۚ
shayin
anything
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
That
هُوَ
huwa
[it]
ٱلضَّلَٰلُ
al-dalalu
(is) the straying
ٱلۡبَعِيدُ
al-ba'idu
far

أَلَمۡ
alam
Do not
تَرَ
tara
you see
أَنَّ
anna
that
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
خَلَقَ
khalaqa
created
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ
wal-arda
and the earth
بِٱلۡحَقِّۚ
bil-haqi
in truth
إِن
in
If
يَشَأۡ
yasha
He wills
يُذۡهِبۡكُمۡ
yudh'hib'kum
He can remove you
وَيَأۡتِ
wayati
and bring
بِخَلۡقٖ
bikhalqin
a creation
جَدِيدٖ
jadidin
new
١٩
14:20
وَمَا
wama
And not
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
(is) that
عَلَى
ala
on
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
بِعَزِيزٖ
bi'azizin
great
٢٠
14:21
وَبَرَزُواْ
wabarazu
And they will come forth
لِلَّهِ
lillahi
before Allah
جَمِيعٗا
jami'an
all together
فَقَالَ
faqala
then will say
ٱلضُّعَفَٰٓؤُاْ
al-du'afau
the weak
لِلَّذِينَ
lilladhina
to those who
ٱسۡتَكۡبَرُوٓاْ
is'takbaru
were arrogant
إِنَّا
inna
Indeed we
كُنَّا
kunna
we were
لَكُمۡ
lakum
your
تَبَعٗا
taba'an
followers
فَهَلۡ
fahal
so can
أَنتُم
antum
you (be)
مُّغۡنُونَ
mugh'nuna
the one who avails
عَنَّا
anna
us
مِنۡ
min
from
عَذَابِ
adhabi
(the) punishment
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
مِن
min
anything
شَيۡءٖۚ
shayin
anything
قَالُواْ
qalu
They will say
لَوۡ
law
If
هَدَىٰنَا
hadana
Allah had guided us
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah had guided us
لَهَدَيۡنَٰكُمۡۖ
lahadaynakum
surely we would have guided you
سَوَآءٌ
sawaon
(It is) same
عَلَيۡنَآ
alayna
for us
أَجَزِعۡنَآ
ajazi'na
whether we show intolerance
أَمۡ
am
or
صَبَرۡنَا
sabarna
we are patient
مَا
ma
not
لَنَا
lana
(is) for us
مِن
min
any
مَّحِيصٖ
mahisin
place of escape
٢١
14:22
وَقَالَ
waqala
And will say
ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ
al-shaytanu
the Shaitaan
لَمَّا
lamma
when
قُضِيَ
qudiya
has been decided
ٱلۡأَمۡرُ
al-amru
the matter
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
وَعَدَكُمۡ
wa'adakum
promised you
وَعۡدَ
wa'da
a promise
ٱلۡحَقِّ
al-haqi
(of) truth
وَوَعَدتُّكُمۡ
wawa'adttukum
And I promised you
فَأَخۡلَفۡتُكُمۡۖ
fa-akhlaftukum
but I betrayed you
وَمَا
wama
But not
كَانَ
kana
I had
لِيَ
liya
I had
عَلَيۡكُم
alaykum
over you
مِّن
min
any
سُلۡطَٰنٍ
sul'tanin
authority
إِلَّآ
illa
except
أَن
an
that
دَعَوۡتُكُمۡ
da'awtukum
I invited you
فَٱسۡتَجَبۡتُمۡ
fa-is'tajabtum
and you responded
لِيۖ
li
to me
فَلَا
fala
So (do) not
تَلُومُونِي
talumuni
blame me
وَلُومُوٓاْ
walumu
but blame
أَنفُسَكُمۖ
anfusakum
yourselves
مَّآ
ma
Not
أَنَا۠
ana
(can) I
بِمُصۡرِخِكُمۡ
bimus'rikhikum
(be) your helper
وَمَآ
wama
and not
أَنتُم
antum
you (can)
بِمُصۡرِخِيَّ
bimus'rikhiyya
(be) my helper
إِنِّي
inni
Indeed I
كَفَرۡتُ
kafartu
deny
بِمَآ
bima
[of what]
أَشۡرَكۡتُمُونِ
ashraktumuni
your association of me (with Allah)
مِن
min
before
قَبۡلُۗ
qablu
before
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
al-zalimina
the wrongdoers
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
عَذَابٌ
adhabun
(is) a punishment
أَلِيمٞ
alimun
painful
٢٢
14:23
وَأُدۡخِلَ
wa-ud'khila
And will be admitted
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believed
وَعَمِلُواْ
wa'amilu
and did
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
al-salihati
righteous deeds
جَنَّٰتٖ
jannatin
(to) Gardens
تَجۡرِي
tajri
flows
مِن
min
from
تَحۡتِهَا
tahtiha
underneath it
ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ
al-anharu
the rivers
خَٰلِدِينَ
khalidina
(will) abide forever
فِيهَا
fiha
in it
بِإِذۡنِ
bi-idh'ni
by the permission
رَبِّهِمۡۖ
rabbihim
(of) their Lord
تَحِيَّتُهُمۡ
tahiyyatuhum
their greetings
فِيهَا
fiha
therein
سَلَٰمٌ
salamun
(will be) peace
٢٣
14:24
أَلَمۡ
alam
Do not
تَرَ
tara
you see
كَيۡفَ
kayfa
how
ضَرَبَ
daraba
Allah sets forth
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah sets forth
مَثَلٗا
mathalan
the example
كَلِمَةٗ
kalimatan
a word
طَيِّبَةٗ
tayyibatan
good
كَشَجَرَةٖ
kashajaratin
(is) like a tree
طَيِّبَةٍ
tayyibatin
good
أَصۡلُهَا
asluha
its root
ثَابِتٞ
thabitun
(is) firm
وَفَرۡعُهَا
wafar'uha
and its branches
فِي
fi
(are) in
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
al-samai
the sky

تُؤۡتِيٓ
tu'ti
Giving
أُكُلَهَا
ukulaha
its fruit
كُلَّ
kulla
all
حِينِۭ
hinin
time
بِإِذۡنِ
bi-idh'ni
by the permission
رَبِّهَاۗ
rabbiha
of its Lord
وَيَضۡرِبُ
wayadribu
And Allah sets forth
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
And Allah sets forth
ٱلۡأَمۡثَالَ
al-amthala
the examples
لِلنَّاسِ
lilnnasi
for mankind
لَعَلَّهُمۡ
la'allahum
so that they may
يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
yatadhakkaruna
remember
٢٥
14:26
وَمَثَلُ
wamathalu
And (the) example
كَلِمَةٍ
kalimatin
(of) a word
خَبِيثَةٖ
khabithatin
evil
كَشَجَرَةٍ
kashajaratin
(is) like a tree
خَبِيثَةٍ
khabithatin
evil
ٱجۡتُثَّتۡ
uj'tuthat
uprooted
مِن
min
from
فَوۡقِ
fawqi
the surface
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
(of) the earth
مَا
ma
not
لَهَا
laha
for it
مِن
min
(is) any
قَرَارٖ
qararin
stability
٢٦
14:27
يُثَبِّتُ
yuthabbitu
Allah keeps firm
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah keeps firm
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe
بِٱلۡقَوۡلِ
bil-qawli
with the firm word
ٱلثَّابِتِ
al-thabiti
with the firm word
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ
al-hayati
the life
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
al-dun'ya
(of) the world
وَفِي
wafi
and in
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِۖ
al-akhirati
the Hereafter
وَيُضِلُّ
wayudillu
And Allah lets go astray
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
And Allah lets go astray
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَۚ
al-zalimina
the wrongdoers
وَيَفۡعَلُ
wayaf 'alu
And Allah does
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
And Allah does
مَا
ma
what
يَشَآءُ
yashau
He wills
٢٧
