وَمَا
Wa-maa
And what
لَكُمۡ
lakum
for you
لَا
laa-
(that) not
تُقَٰتِلُونَ
tuq̣aatiloona
you fight
فِي
fee
in
سَبِيلِ
Sabeelil
(the) way
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
وَٱلۡمُسۡتَضۡعَفِينَ
walmustaḍʻafeena
and (for) those who are weak
مِنَ
minar
among
ٱلرِّجَالِ
rijaali
the men
وَٱلنِّسَآءِ
wan-Nisaaaʹi
and the women
وَٱلۡوِلۡدَٰنِ
walwildaanil
and the children
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
يَقُولُونَ
yaq̣ooloona
say
رَبَّنَآ
Rabbanaaa
Our Lord
أَخۡرِجۡنَا
ʹakhrijnaa
take us out
مِنۡ
min
of
هَٰذِهِ
haaẓihil
this
ٱلۡقَرۡيَةِ
q̣aryatiz̤̣
[the] town
ٱلظَّالِمِ
z̤̣aalimi
[the] oppressor(s)
أَهۡلُهَا
ʹahluhaa;
(are) its people
وَٱجۡعَل
wajʻal
and appoint
لَّنَا
lanaa
for us
مِن
mil
from
لَّدُنكَ
laduñka
Yourself
وَلِيّٗا
waliyyañw
a protector
وَٱجۡعَل
wajʻal
and appoint
لَّنَا
lanaa
for us
مِن
mil
from
لَّدُنكَ
laduñka
Yourself
نَصِيرًا
naṣeeraa!
a helper
٧٥
4:76
ٱلَّذِينَ
Allaẓeena
Those who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believe
يُقَٰتِلُونَ
yuq̣aatiloona
they fight
فِي
fee
in
سَبِيلِ
Sabeelil
(the) way
ٱللَّهِۖ
laahi
(of) Allah
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wallaẓeena
and those
كَفَرُواْ
kafaroo
who disbelieve
يُقَٰتِلُونَ
yuq̣aatiloona
they fight
فِي
fee
in
سَبِيلِ
Sabeeliṭ
(the) way
ٱلطَّٰغُوتِ
Ṭaag̣ooti
(of) the false deities
فَقَٰتِلُوٓاْ
faq̣aatilooo
So fight (against)
أَوۡلِيَآءَ
ʹawliyaaʹash
(the) friends
ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِۖ
Shayṭaan:
(of) the Shaitaan
إِنَّ
ʹinna
Indeed
كَيۡدَ
kaydash
(the) strategy
ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِ
Shayṭaani
(of) the Shaitaan
كَانَ
kaana
is
ضَعِيفًا
ḍaʻeefaa.
weak
٧٦
4:77
أَلَمۡ
ʹAlam
Have not
تَرَ
tara
you seen
إِلَى
ʹilal
[towards]
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
قِيلَ
q̣eela
(when) it was said
لَهُمۡ
lahum
to them
كُفُّوٓاْ
kuffooo
Restrain
أَيۡدِيَكُمۡ
ʻaydiyakum
your hands
وَأَقِيمُواْ
wa-ʹaq̣eemuṣ
and establish
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
Ṣalaata
the prayer
وَءَاتُواْ
wa-ʹaatuz
and give
ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ
Zakaah?
the zakah
فَلَمَّا
Falammaa
Then when
كُتِبَ
kutiba
was ordained
عَلَيۡهِمُ
ʻalayhimul
on them
ٱلۡقِتَالُ
q̣italu
the fighting
إِذَا
ʹiẓaa
then
فَرِيقٞ
fareeq̣um
a group
مِّنۡهُمۡ
minhum
of them
يَخۡشَوۡنَ
yakhshawnan
[they] fear
ٱلنَّاسَ
naasa
the people
كَخَشۡيَةِ
kakhashyatil
as (they) fear
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
أَشَدَّ
ʹashadda
more intense
خَشۡيَةٗۚ
khashyah:
fear
وَقَالُواْ
wa-q̣aaloo
and they said
رَبَّنَا
Rabbana
Our Lord
لِمَ
lima
why
كَتَبۡتَ
katabta
have You ordained
عَلَيۡنَا
ʻalaynal
upon us
ٱلۡقِتَالَ
q̣itaal?
[the] fighting
لَوۡلَآ
Law- laaa
Why not
أَخَّرۡتَنَآ
ʹakhkhartanaaa
You postpone (it for) us
إِلَىٰٓ
ʹilaaa
to
أَجَلٖ
ʹajaliñ
a term
قَرِيبٖۗ
q̣areeb?
near
قُلۡ
Q̣ul
Say
مَتَٰعُ
mataaʻud
Enjoyment
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
dunyaa
(of) the world
قَلِيلٞ
q̣aleel:
(is) little
وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةُ
wal-ʹAakhiratu
and the Hereafter
خَيۡرٞ
khayrul
(is) better
لِّمَنِ
limanit
for whoever
ٱتَّقَىٰ
taq̣aa:
fears (Allah)
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
تُظۡلَمُونَ
tuz̤̣lamoona
you will be wronged
فَتِيلًا
fateelaa.
(even as much as) a hair on a date-seed
٧٧
4:78
أَيۡنَمَا
ʹAynamaa
Wherever
تَكُونُواْ
takoonoo
you be
يُدۡرِككُّمُ
yudrikkumul
will overtake you
ٱلۡمَوۡتُ
mawtu
[the] death
وَلَوۡ
walaw
even if
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
you are
فِي
fee
in
بُرُوجٖ
buroojim
towers
مُّشَيَّدَةٖۗ
mushayyadah.
lofty
وَإِن
Wa-ʹiñ
And if
تُصِبۡهُمۡ
tuṣibhum
befalls them
حَسَنَةٞ
ḥasanatuñy
any good
يَقُولُواْ
yaq̣ooloo
they say
هَٰذِهِۦ
haaẓihee
This
مِنۡ
min
(is)
عِندِ
ʻiñdil
from
ٱللَّهِۖ
laah;
Allah
وَإِن
wa-ʹiñ
And if
تُصِبۡهُمۡ
tuṣibhum
befalls them
سَيِّئَةٞ
sayyiʹatuñy
any evil
يَقُولُواْ
yaq̣ooloo
they say
هَٰذِهِۦ
haaẓihee
This
مِنۡ
min
(is)
عِندِكَۚ
ʻiñdik.
(from) you
قُلۡ
Q̣ul
Say
كُلّٞ
kullum
All
مِّنۡ
min
(is)
عِندِ
ʻiñdil
from
ٱللَّهِۖ
laah.
Allah
فَمَالِ
Famaali
So what (is wrong)
هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
haaaʹulaaaʹil
(with) these
ٱلۡقَوۡمِ
q̣awmi
[the] people
لَا
laa-
not
يَكَادُونَ
yakaadoona
do they seem
يَفۡقَهُونَ
yafq̣ahoona
(to) understand
حَدِيثٗا
ḥadees̤aa?
any statement
٧٨
4:79
مَّآ
Maaa
What(ever)
أَصَابَكَ
ʹaṣaabaka
befalls you
مِنۡ
min
of
حَسَنَةٖ
ḥasanatiñ
(the) good
فَمِنَ
faminal
(is) from
ٱللَّهِۖ
laah;
Allah
وَمَآ
wa-maaa
and whatever
أَصَابَكَ
ʹaṣaabaka
befalls you
مِن
miñ
of
سَيِّئَةٖ
sayyiʹatiñ
(the) evil
فَمِن
famin
(is) from
نَّفۡسِكَۚ
nafsik
yourself
وَأَرۡسَلۡنَٰكَ
Wa-ʹarsalnaaka
And We have sent you
لِلنَّاسِ
linnaasi
for the people
رَسُولٗاۚ
Rasoolaa.
(as) a Messenger
وَكَفَىٰ
Wa-kafaa
and is sufficient
بِٱللَّهِ
billaahi
Allah
شَهِيدٗا
Shaheedaa.
(as) a Witness
