وَإِذۡ
Wa-ʹiẓ
And when
أَخَذَ
ʹakhaẓal
took
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
مِيثَٰقَ
Mees̤aaq̣al
a Covenant
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
(from) those who
أُوتُواْ
ʹootul
were given
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
Kitaaba
the Book
لَتُبَيِّنُنَّهُۥ
latubayyinunnahoo
You certainly make it clear
لِلنَّاسِ
lin-naasi
to the mankind
وَلَا
wa-laa
and (do) not
تَكۡتُمُونَهُۥ
taktumoonah;
conceal it
فَنَبَذُوهُ
fanabaẓoohu
Then they threw it
وَرَآءَ
waraaaʹa
behind
ظُهُورِهِمۡ
z̤̣uhoorihim
their backs
وَٱشۡتَرَوۡاْ
washtaraw
and they exchanged
بِهِۦ
bihee
[with] it
ثَمَنٗا
s̤amanañ
(for) a price
قَلِيلٗاۖ
q̣aleelaa.
little
فَبِئۡسَ
Fabiʹsa
And wretched
مَا
maa-
(is) what
يَشۡتَرُونَ
yashtaroon.
they purchase
