وَٱلزَّيۡتُونِ
wal-zaytuni
and the olive

وَطُورِ

وَهَٰذَا
wahadha
And this
ٱلۡبَلَدِ
al-baladi
[the] city
ٱلۡأَمِينِ
al-amini
[the] secure

95:4
لَقَدۡ
laqad
Indeed
خَلَقۡنَا
khalaqna
We created
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ
al-insana
man
فِيٓ
fi
in
أَحۡسَنِ
ahsani
(the) best
تَقۡوِيمٖ
taqwimin
mould
٤
95:5
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
رَدَدۡنَٰهُ
radadnahu
We returned him
أَسۡفَلَ
asfala
(to the) lowest
سَٰفِلِينَ
safilina
(of the) low
٥
95:6
إِلَّا
illa
Except
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe
وَعَمِلُواْ
wa'amilu
and do
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
al-salihati
righteous deeds
فَلَهُمۡ
falahum
then for them
أَجۡرٌ
ajrun
(is a) reward
غَيۡرُ
ghayru
never
مَمۡنُونٖ
mamnunin
ending
٦
95:7
فَمَا
fama
Then what
يُكَذِّبُكَ
yukadhibuka
causes you to deny
بَعۡدُ
ba'du
after (this)
بِٱلدِّينِ
bil-dini
the judgment
٧
95:8
أَلَيۡسَ
alaysa
Is not
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
بِأَحۡكَمِ
bi-ahkami
(the) Most Just
ٱلۡحَٰكِمِينَ
al-hakimina
(of) the Judges
٨
96:1
ٱقۡرَأۡ
iq'ra
Read
بِٱسۡمِ
bi-is'mi
in (the) name
رَبِّكَ
rabbika
(of) your Lord
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
the One Who
خَلَقَ
khalaqa
created
١
96:2
خَلَقَ
khalaqa
He created
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ
al-insana
man
مِنۡ
min
from
عَلَقٍ
alaqin
a clinging substance
٢
96:3
ٱقۡرَأۡ
iq'ra
Read
وَرَبُّكَ
warabbuka
and your Lord
ٱلۡأَكۡرَمُ
al-akramu
(is) the Most Generous
٣
96:4
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
The One Who
عَلَّمَ
allama
taught
بِٱلۡقَلَمِ
bil-qalami
by the pen
٤
96:5
عَلَّمَ
allama
Taught
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ
al-insana
man
مَا
ma
what
لَمۡ
lam
not
يَعۡلَمۡ
ya'lam
he knew
٥
96:6
كـَلَّآ
kalla
Nay
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ
al-insana
man
لَيَطۡغَىٰٓ
layatgha
surely transgresses
٦
96:7
أَن
an
That
رَّءَاهُ
raahu
he sees himself
ٱسۡتَغۡنَىٰٓ
is'taghna
self-sufficient
٧
96:8
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
إِلَىٰ
ila
to
رَبِّكَ
rabbika
your Lord
ٱلرُّجۡعَىٰٓ
al-ruj'a
(is) the return
٨
96:9
أَرَءَيۡتَ
ara-ayta
Have you seen
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
the one who
يَنۡهَىٰ
yanha
forbids
٩
96:10
عَبۡدًا
abdan
A slave
إِذَا
idha
when
صَلَّىٰٓ
salla
he prays
١٠
96:11
أَرَءَيۡتَ
ara-ayta
Have you seen
إِن
in
if
كَانَ
kana
he is
عَلَى
ala
upon
ٱلۡهُدَىٰٓ
al-huda
[the] guidance
١١
96:12
أَوۡ
aw
Or
أَمَرَ
amara
he enjoins
بِٱلتَّقۡوَىٰٓ
bil-taqwa
[of the] righteousness
١٢
96:13
أَرَءَيۡتَ
ara-ayta
Have you seen
إِن
in
if
كَذَّبَ
kadhaba
he denies
وَتَوَلَّىٰٓ
watawalla
and turns away
١٣
96:14
أَلَمۡ
alam
Does not
يَعۡلَم
ya'lam
he know
بِأَنَّ
bi-anna
that
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
يَرَىٰ
yara
sees
١٤
96:15
كـَلَّا
kalla
Nay
لَئِن
la-in
If
لَّمۡ
lam
not
يَنتَهِ
yantahi
he desists
لَنَسۡفَعَۢا
lanasfa'an
surely We will drag him
بِٱلنَّاصِيَةِ
bil-nasiyati
by the forelock

96:16
نَاصِيَةٖ
nasiyatin
A forelock
كَٰذِبَةٍ
kadhibatin
lying
خَاطِئَةٖ
khati-atin
sinful
١٦
96:17
فَلۡيَدۡعُ
falyad'u
Then let him call
نَادِيَهُۥ
nadiyahu
his associates
١٧
96:18
سَنَدۡعُ
sanad'u
We will call
ٱلزَّبَانِيَةَ
al-zabaniyata
the Angels of Hell
١٨
96:19
كـَلَّا
kalla
Nay
لَا
la
(Do) not
تُطِعۡهُ
tuti'hu
obey him
وَٱسۡجُدۡۤ
wa-us'jud
But prostrate
وَٱقۡتَرِب۩
wa-iq'tarib
and draw near (to Allah)
