يَقُولُ
yaqulu
He will say
يَٰلَيۡتَنِي
yalaytani
O I wish
قَدَّمۡتُ
qaddamtu
I had sent forth
لِحَيَاتِي
lihayati
for my life
٢٤
89:25
فَيَوۡمَئِذٖ
fayawma-idhin
So that Day
لَّا
la
not
يُعَذِّبُ
yu'adhibu
will punish
عَذَابَهُۥٓ
adhabahu
(as) His punishment
أَحَدٞ
ahadun
anyone
٢٥
89:26
وَلَا
wala
And not
يُوثِقُ
yuthiqu
will bind
وَثَاقَهُۥٓ
wathaqahu
(as) His binding
أَحَدٞ
ahadun
anyone
٢٦
89:27
يَٰٓأَيَّتُهَا
yaayyatuha
O
ٱلنَّفۡسُ
al-nafsu
soul
ٱلۡمُطۡمَئِنَّةُ
al-mut'ma-inatu
who is satisfied
٢٧
89:28
ٱرۡجِعِيٓ
ir'ji'i
Return
إِلَىٰ
ila
to
رَبِّكِ
rabbiki
your Lord
رَاضِيَةٗ
radiyatan
well pleased
مَّرۡضِيَّةٗ
mardiyyatan
and pleasing
٢٨
89:29
فَٱدۡخُلِي
fa-ud'khuli
So enter
فِي
fi
among
عِبَٰدِي
ibadi
My slaves
٢٩
89:30
وَٱدۡخُلِي
wa-ud'khuli
And enter
جَنَّتِي
jannati
My Paradise
٣٠
90:1
لَآ
la
Nay
أُقۡسِمُ
uq'simu
I swear
بِهَٰذَا
bihadha
by this
ٱلۡبَلَدِ
al-baladi
city
١
90:2
وَأَنتَ
wa-anta
And you
حِلُّۢ
hillun
(are) free (to dwell)
بِهَٰذَا
bihadha
in this
ٱلۡبَلَدِ
al-baladi
city
٢
90:3
وَوَالِدٖ
wawalidin
And the begetter
وَمَا
wama
and what
وَلَدَ
walada
he begot
٣
90:4
لَقَدۡ
laqad
Certainly
خَلَقۡنَا
khalaqna
We have created
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ
al-insana
man
فِي
fi
(to be) in
كَبَدٍ
kabadin
hardship
٤
90:5
أَيَحۡسَبُ
ayahsabu
Does he think
أَن
an
that
لَّن
lan
not
يَقۡدِرَ
yaqdira
has power
عَلَيۡهِ
alayhi
over him
أَحَدٞ
ahadun
anyone
٥
90:6
يَقُولُ
yaqulu
He will say
أَهۡلَكۡتُ
ahlaktu
I have squandered
مَالٗا
malan
wealth
لُّبَدًا
lubadan
abundant
٦
90:7
أَيَحۡسَبُ
ayahsabu
Does he think
أَن
an
that
لَّمۡ
lam
not
يَرَهُۥٓ
yarahu
sees him
أَحَدٌ
ahadun
anyone
٧
90:8
أَلَمۡ
alam
Have not
نَجۡعَل
naj'al
We made
لَّهُۥ
lahu
for him
عَيۡنَيۡنِ
aynayni
two eyes
٨
90:9
وَلِسَانٗا
walisanan
And a tongue
وَشَفَتَيۡنِ
washafatayni
and two lips
٩
90:10
وَهَدَيۡنَٰهُ
wahadaynahu
And shown him
ٱلنَّجۡدَيۡنِ
al-najdayni
the two ways
١٠
90:11
فَلَا
fala
But not
ٱقۡتَحَمَ
iq'tahama
he has attempted
ٱلۡعَقَبَةَ
al-'aqabata
the steep path
١١
90:12
وَمَآ
wama
And what
أَدۡرَىٰكَ
adraka
can make you know
مَا
ma
what
ٱلۡعَقَبَةُ
al-'aqabatu
the steep path (is)
١٢
90:13
فَكُّ
fakku
(It is) freeing
رَقَبَةٍ
raqabatin
a neck
١٣
90:14
أَوۡ
aw
Or
إِطۡعَٰمٞ
it'amun
feeding
فِي
fi
in
يَوۡمٖ
yawmin
a day
ذِي
dhi
of
مَسۡغَبَةٖ
masghabatin
severe hunger
١٤
90:15
يَتِيمٗا
yatiman
An orphan
ذَا
dha
of
مَقۡرَبَةٍ
maqrabatin
near relationship
١٥
90:16
أَوۡ
aw
Or
مِسۡكِينٗا
mis'kinan
a needy person
ذَا
dha
in
مَتۡرَبَةٖ
matrabatin
misery
١٦
90:17
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
كَانَ
kana
he is
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe
وَتَوَاصَوۡاْ
watawasaw
and enjoin (each other)
بِٱلصَّبۡرِ
bil-sabri
to patience
وَتَوَاصَوۡاْ
watawasaw
and enjoin (each other)
بِٱلۡمَرۡحَمَةِ
bil-marhamati
to compassion
١٧
90:18
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ulaika
Those
أَصۡحَٰبُ
ashabu
(are the) companions
ٱلۡمَيۡمَنَةِ
al-maymanati
(of) the right (hand)
١٨
90:19
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhina
But those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaru
disbelieve
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
biayatina
in Our Verses
هُمۡ
hum
they
أَصۡحَٰبُ
ashabu
(are the) companions
ٱلۡمَشۡـَٔمَةِ
al-mashamati
(of) the left (hand)
١٩
90:20
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
alayhim
Over them
نَارٞ
narun
(will be the) Fire
مُّؤۡصَدَةُۢ
mu'sadatun
closed in
٢٠
