وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةُ

While the Hereafter

وَأَبۡقَىٰٓ
wa-abqa
and everlasting

إِنَّ

Indeed
هَٰذَا
hadha
this
لَفِي
lafi
surely (is) in
ٱلصُّحُفِ
al-suhufi
the Scriptures
ٱلۡأُولَىٰ
al-ula
[the] former
١٨
87:19
صُحُفِ
suhufi
(The) Scriptures
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
ib'rahima
(of) Ibrahim
وَمُوسَىٰ
wamusa
and Musa
١٩
88:1
هَلۡ
hal
Has
أَتَىٰكَ
ataka
(there) come to you
حَدِيثُ
hadithu
(the) news
ٱلۡغَٰشِيَةِ
al-ghashiyati
(of) the Overwhelming

88:2
وُجُوهٞ
wujuhun
Faces
يَوۡمَئِذٍ
yawma-idhin
that Day
خَٰشِعَةٌ
khashi'atun
(will be) humbled
٢
88:3
عَامِلَةٞ
amilatun
Laboring
نَّاصِبَةٞ
nasibatun
exhausted
٣
88:4
تَصۡلَىٰ
tasla
They will burn
نَارًا
naran
(in) a Fire
حَامِيَةٗ
hamiyatan
intensely hot
٤
88:5
تُسۡقَىٰ
tus'qa
They will be given to drink
مِنۡ
min
from
عَيۡنٍ
aynin
a spring
ءَانِيَةٖ
aniyatin
boiling
٥
88:6
لَّيۡسَ
laysa
Not is
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
طَعَامٌ
ta'amun
food
إِلَّا
illa
except
مِن
min
from
ضَرِيعٖ
dari'in
a bitter thorny plant
٦
88:7
لَّا
la
Not
يُسۡمِنُ
yus'minu
it nourishes
وَلَا
wala
and not
يُغۡنِي
yugh'ni
it avails
مِن
min
from
جُوعٖ
ju'in
hunger
٧
88:8
وُجُوهٞ
wujuhun
Faces
يَوۡمَئِذٖ
yawma-idhin
that Day
نَّاعِمَةٞ
na'imatun
(will be) joyful
٨
88:9
لِّسَعۡيِهَا
lisa'yiha
With their effort
رَاضِيَةٞ
radiyatun
satisfied
٩
88:10
فِي
fi
In
جَنَّةٍ
jannatin
a garden
عَالِيَةٖ
aliyatin
elevated
١٠
88:11
لَّا
la
Not
تَسۡمَعُ
tasma'u
they will hear
فِيهَا
fiha
therein
لَٰغِيَةٗ
laghiyatan
vain talk
١١
88:12
فِيهَا
fiha
Therein
عَيۡنٞ
aynun
(will be) a spring
جَارِيَةٞ
jariyatun
flowing
١٢
88:13
فِيهَا
fiha
Therein
سُرُرٞ
sururun
(will be) thrones
مَّرۡفُوعَةٞ
marfu'atun
raised high
١٣
88:14
وَأَكۡوَابٞ
wa-akwabun
And cups
مَّوۡضُوعَةٞ
mawdu'atun
put in place
١٤
88:15
وَنَمَارِقُ
wanamariqu
And cushions
مَصۡفُوفَةٞ
masfufatun
lined up
١٥
88:16
وَزَرَابِيُّ
wazarabiyyu
And carpets
مَبۡثُوثَةٌ
mabthuthatun
spread out
١٦
88:17
أَفَلَا
afala
Then do not
يَنظُرُونَ
yanzuruna
they look
إِلَى
ila
towards
ٱلۡإِبِلِ
al-ibili
the camels
كَيۡفَ
kayfa
how
خُلِقَتۡ
khuliqat
they are created
١٧
88:18
وَإِلَى
wa-ila
And towards
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
al-samai
the sky
كَيۡفَ
kayfa
how
رُفِعَتۡ
rufi'at
it is raised
١٨
88:19
وَإِلَى
wa-ila
And towards
ٱلۡجِبَالِ
al-jibali
the mountains
كَيۡفَ
kayfa
how
نُصِبَتۡ
nusibat
they are fixed
١٩
88:20
وَإِلَى
wa-ila
And towards
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the earth
كَيۡفَ
kayfa
how
سُطِحَتۡ
sutihat
it is spread out
٢٠
88:21
فَذَكِّرۡ
fadhakkir
So remind
إِنَّمَآ
innama
only
أَنتَ
anta
you
مُذَكِّرٞ
mudhakkirun
(are) a reminder
٢١
88:22
لَّسۡتَ
lasta
You are not
عَلَيۡهِم
alayhim
over them
بِمُصَيۡطِرٍ
bimusaytirin
a controller
٢٢
88:23
إِلَّا
illa
But
مَن
man
whoever
تَوَلَّىٰ
tawalla
turns away
وَكَفَرَ
wakafara
and disbelieves
٢٣
88:24
فَيُعَذِّبُهُ
fayu'adhibuhu
Then will punish him
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
ٱلۡعَذَابَ
al-'adhaba
(with) the punishment
ٱلۡأَكۡبَرَ
al-akbara
greatest
٢٤
88:25
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
إِلَيۡنَآ
ilayna
to Us
إِيَابَهُمۡ
iyabahum
(will be) their return
٢٥
88:26
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
إِنَّ
inna
indeed
عَلَيۡنَا
alayna
upon Us
حِسَابَهُم
hisabahum
(is) their account
٢٦
