3:39
فَنَادَتۡهُ
fanadathu
Then called him
ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
al-malaikatu
the Angels
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
when he
قَآئِمٞ
qaimun
(was) standing
يُصَلِّي
yusalli
praying
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡمِحۡرَابِ
al-mih'rabi
the prayer chamber
أَنَّ
anna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
يُبَشِّرُكَ
yubashiruka
gives you glad tidings
بِيَحۡيَىٰ
biyahya
of Yahya
مُصَدِّقَۢا
musaddiqan
confirming
بِكَلِمَةٖ
bikalimatin
[of] a Word
مِّنَ
mina
from
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
وَسَيِّدٗا
wasayyidan
and a noble
وَحَصُورٗا
wahasuran
and chaste
وَنَبِيّٗا
wanabiyyan
and a Prophet
مِّنَ
mina
among
ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
al-salihina
the righteous
٣٩
3:40
قَالَ
qala
He said
رَبِّ
rabbi
My Lord
أَنَّىٰ
anna
how
يَكُونُ
yakunu
can (there) be
لِي
li
for me
غُلَٰمٞ
ghulamun
a son
وَقَدۡ
waqad
and verily
بَلَغَنِيَ
balaghaniya
has reached me
ٱلۡكِبَرُ
al-kibaru
[the] old age
وَٱمۡرَأَتِي
wa-im'ra-ati
and my wife
عَاقِرٞۖ
aqirun
(is) [a] barren
قَالَ
qala
He said
كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhalika
Thus
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
يَفۡعَلُ
yaf 'alu
does
مَا
ma
what
يَشَآءُ
yashau
He wills
٤٠
3:41
قَالَ
qala
He said
رَبِّ
rabbi
My Lord
ٱجۡعَل
ij'al
make
لِّيٓ
li
for me
ءَايَةٗۖ
ayatan
a sign
قَالَ
qala
He said
ءَايَتُكَ
ayatuka
your sign
أَلَّا
alla
(is) that not
تُكَلِّمَ
tukallima
you will speak
ٱلنَّاسَ
al-nasa
(to) the people
ثَلَٰثَةَ
thalathata
(for) three
أَيَّامٍ
ayyamin
days
إِلَّا
illa
except
رَمۡزٗاۗ
ramzan
(with) gestures
وَٱذۡكُر
wa-udh'kur
And remember
رَّبَّكَ
rabbaka
your Lord
كَثِيرٗا
kathiran
much
وَسَبِّحۡ
wasabbih
and glorify (Him)
بِٱلۡعَشِيِّ
bil-'ashiyi
in the evening
وَٱلۡإِبۡكَٰرِ
wal-ib'kari
and (in) the morning
٤١
3:42
وَإِذۡ
wa-idh
And when
قَالَتِ
qalati
said
ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
al-malaikatu
the Angels
يَٰمَرۡيَمُ
yamaryamu
O Maryam
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
ٱصۡطَفَىٰكِ
is'tafaki
(has) chosen you
وَطَهَّرَكِ
watahharaki
and purified you
وَٱصۡطَفَىٰكِ
wa-is'tafaki
and chosen you
عَلَىٰ
ala
over
نِسَآءِ
nisai
(the) women
ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
al-'alamina
(of) the worlds
٤٢
3:43
يَٰمَرۡيَمُ
yamaryamu
O Maryam
ٱقۡنُتِي
uq'nuti
Be obedient
لِرَبِّكِ
lirabbiki
to your Lord
وَٱسۡجُدِي
wa-us'judi
and prostrate
وَٱرۡكَعِي
wa-ir'ka'i
and bow down
مَعَ
ma'a
with
ٱلرَّٰكِعِينَ
al-raki'ina
those who bow down
٤٣
3:44
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
That
مِنۡ
min
(is) from
أَنۢبَآءِ
anbai
(the) news
ٱلۡغَيۡبِ
al-ghaybi
(of) the unseen
نُوحِيهِ
nuhihi
We reveal it
إِلَيۡكَۚ
ilayka
to you
وَمَا
wama
And not
كُنتَ
kunta
you were
لَدَيۡهِمۡ
ladayhim
with them
إِذۡ
idh
when
يُلۡقُونَ
yul'quna
they cast
أَقۡلَٰمَهُمۡ
aqlamahum
their pens
أَيُّهُمۡ
ayyuhum
(as to) which of them
يَكۡفُلُ
yakfulu
takes charge (of)
مَرۡيَمَ
maryama
Maryam
وَمَا
wama
and not
كُنتَ
kunta
you were
لَدَيۡهِمۡ
ladayhim
with them
إِذۡ
idh
when
يَخۡتَصِمُونَ
yakhtasimuna
they (were) disputing
٤٤
3:45
إِذۡ
idh
When
قَالَتِ
qalati
said
ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
al-malaikatu
the Angels
يَٰمَرۡيَمُ
yamaryamu
O Maryam
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
يُبَشِّرُكِ
yubashiruki
gives you glad tidings
بِكَلِمَةٖ
bikalimatin
of a word
مِّنۡهُ
min'hu
from Him
ٱسۡمُهُ
us'muhu
his name
ٱلۡمَسِيحُ
al-masihu
(is) the Messiah
عِيسَى
isa
Isa
ٱبۡنُ
ub'nu
son
مَرۡيَمَ
maryama
(of) Maryam
وَجِيهٗا
wajihan
honored
فِي
fi
in
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
al-dun'ya
the world
وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
wal-akhirati
and (in) the Hereafter
وَمِنَ
wamina
and of
ٱلۡمُقَرَّبِينَ
al-muqarabina
those brought near (to Allah)
