سَمِيعُ
Sameeʻud
(are) All-Hearer
ٱلدُّعَآءِ
duʻaaaʹ.
(of) the prayer
٣٨
3:39
فَنَادَتۡهُ
Fannaadathul
Then called him
ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
malaaʹikatu
the Angels
وَهُوَ
wa-huwa
when he
قَآئِمٞ
q̣aaʹimuñy
(was) standing
يُصَلِّي
yuṣallee
praying
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡمِحۡرَابِ
Miḥraabi
the prayer chamber
أَنَّ
ʹannal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
يُبَشِّرُكَ
yubashshiruka
gives you glad tidings
بِيَحۡيَىٰ
bi-Yaḥyaa
of Yahya
مُصَدِّقَۢا
muṣaddiq̣am
confirming
بِكَلِمَةٖ
bi-Kalimatim
[of] a Word
مِّنَ
minal
from
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
وَسَيِّدٗا
wa-sayyidañw
and a noble
وَحَصُورٗا
waḥaṣurañw
and chaste
وَنَبِيّٗا
wa-Nabiyyam
and a Prophet
مِّنَ
minaṣ
among
ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
ṣaaliḥeen.
the righteous
٣٩
3:40
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
رَبِّ
Rabbi
My Lord
أَنَّىٰ
ʹannaa
how
يَكُونُ
yakoonu
can (there) be
لِي
lee
for me
غُلَٰمٞ
g̣ulaamuñw
a son
وَقَدۡ
waq̣ad
and verily
بَلَغَنِيَ
balag̣aniyal
has reached me
ٱلۡكِبَرُ
kibaru
[the] old age
وَٱمۡرَأَتِي
wam-raʹatee
and my wife
عَاقِرٞۖ
ʻaaq̣ir?
(is) [a] barren
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
كَذَٰلِكَ
kaẓaalikal
Thus
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
يَفۡعَلُ
yafʻalu
does
مَا
maa-
what
يَشَآءُ
yashaaʹ.
He wills
٤٠
3:41
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
رَبِّ
Rabbij
My Lord
ٱجۡعَل
ʻal
make
لِّيٓ
Leee
for me
ءَايَةٗۖ
ʹAayah!
a sign
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
ءَايَتُكَ
ʹAayatuka
your sign
أَلَّا
ʹallaa
(is) that not
تُكَلِّمَ
tukalliman
you will speak
ٱلنَّاسَ
naasa
(to) the people
ثَلَٰثَةَ
s̤alaas̤ata
(for) three
أَيَّامٍ
ʹayyaamin
days
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
رَمۡزٗاۗ
ramzaa.
(with) gestures
وَٱذۡكُر
Waẓkur
And remember
رَّبَّكَ
Rabbaka
your Lord
كَثِيرٗا
kas̤eerañw
much
وَسَبِّحۡ
wasabbiḥ
and glorify (Him)
بِٱلۡعَشِيِّ
bilʻashiyyi
in the evening
وَٱلۡإِبۡكَٰرِ
wal-ʹib-kaar.
and (in) the morning
٤١
3:42
وَإِذۡ
Wa-ʹiẓ
And when
قَالَتِ
q̣aa-latil
said
ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
malaaaʹikatu
the Angels
يَٰمَرۡيَمُ
yaa-Maryamu
O Maryam
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laahaṣ
Allah
ٱصۡطَفَىٰكِ
ṭafaaki
(has) chosen you
وَطَهَّرَكِ
waṭahharaki
and purified you
وَٱصۡطَفَىٰكِ
waṣṭafaaki
and chosen you
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
over
نِسَآءِ
nisaaʹil
(the) women
ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
ʻaalameen.
(of) the worlds
٤٢
3:43
يَٰمَرۡيَمُ
Yaa-Maryamu
O Maryam
ٱقۡنُتِي
uq̣nutee
Be obedient
لِرَبِّكِ
li-Rabbiki
to your Lord
وَٱسۡجُدِي
wasjudee
and prostrate
وَٱرۡكَعِي
warkaʻee
and bow down
مَعَ
maʻar
with
ٱلرَّٰكِعِينَ
raakiʻeen.
those who bow down
٤٣
3:44
ذَٰلِكَ
Ẓaalika
That
مِنۡ
min
(is) from
أَنۢبَآءِ
ʹambaaaʹil
(the) news
ٱلۡغَيۡبِ
g̣aybi
(of) the unseen
نُوحِيهِ
noo-ḥeehi
We reveal it
إِلَيۡكَۚ
ʹilayk.
to you
وَمَا
Wa-maa
And not
كُنتَ
kuñta
you were
لَدَيۡهِمۡ
ladayhim
with them
إِذۡ
ʹiẓ
when
يُلۡقُونَ
yulq̣oona
they cast
أَقۡلَٰمَهُمۡ
ʹaq̣laamahum
their pens
أَيُّهُمۡ
ʹayyuhum
(as to) which of them
يَكۡفُلُ
yak-fulu
takes charge (of)
مَرۡيَمَ
Maryam:
Maryam
وَمَا
wa-maa
and not
كُنتَ
kuñta
you were
لَدَيۡهِمۡ
ladayhim
with them
إِذۡ
ʹiẓ
when
يَخۡتَصِمُونَ
yakhtaṣimoon.
they (were) disputing
٤٤
3:45
إِذۡ
ʹIẓ
When
قَالَتِ
q̣aa-latil
said
ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
malaaaʹikatu
the Angels
يَٰمَرۡيَمُ
yaa-Maryamu
O Maryam
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
يُبَشِّرُكِ
yubashshiruki
gives you glad tidings
بِكَلِمَةٖ
bi-Kalimatim
of a word
مِّنۡهُ
minhus
from Him
ٱسۡمُهُ
muhul
his name
ٱلۡمَسِيحُ
Maseeḥu
(is) the Messiah
عِيسَى
ʻEesab
Isa
ٱبۡنُ
nu
son
مَرۡيَمَ
Maryama
(of) Maryam
وَجِيهٗا
wajeehañ
honored
فِي
fid
in
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
dunyaa
the world
وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
wal-ʹAakhirati
and (in) the Hereafter
وَمِنَ
wa-minal
and of
ٱلۡمُقَرَّبِينَ
Muq̣arrabeen.
those brought near (to Allah)
