46:15
وَوَصَّيۡنَا
wawassayna
And We have enjoined
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ
al-insana
(on) man
بِوَٰلِدَيۡهِ
biwalidayhi
to his parents
إِحۡسَٰنًاۖ
ih'sanan
kindness
حَمَلَتۡهُ
hamalathu
Carried him
أُمُّهُۥ
ummuhu
his mother
كُرۡهٗا
kur'han
(with) hardship
وَوَضَعَتۡهُ
wawada'athu
and gave birth to him
كُرۡهٗاۖ
kur'han
(with) hardship
وَحَمۡلُهُۥ
wahamluhu
And (the) bearing of him
وَفِصَٰلُهُۥ
wafisaluhu
and (the) weaning of him
ثَلَٰثُونَ
thalathuna
(is) thirty
شَهۡرًاۚ
shahran
month(s)
حَتَّىٰٓ
hatta
until
إِذَا
idha
when
بَلَغَ
balagha
he reaches
أَشُدَّهُۥ
ashuddahu
his maturity
وَبَلَغَ
wabalagha
and reaches
أَرۡبَعِينَ
arba'ina
forty
سَنَةٗ
sanatan
year(s)
قَالَ
qala
he says
رَبِّ
rabbi
My Lord
أَوۡزِعۡنِيٓ
awzi'ni
grant me (the) power
أَنۡ
an
that
أَشۡكُرَ
ashkura
I may be grateful
نِعۡمَتَكَ
ni'mataka
(for) Your favor
ٱلَّتِيٓ
allati
which
أَنۡعَمۡتَ
an'amta
You have bestowed
عَلَيَّ
alayya
upon me
وَعَلَىٰ
wa'ala
and upon
وَٰلِدَيَّ
walidayya
my parents
وَأَنۡ
wa-an
and that
أَعۡمَلَ
a'mala
I do
صَٰلِحٗا
salihan
righteous (deeds)
تَرۡضَىٰهُ
tardahu
which please You
وَأَصۡلِحۡ
wa-aslih
and make righteous
لِي
li
for me
فِي
fi
among
ذُرِّيَّتِيٓۖ
dhurriyyati
my offspring
إِنِّي
inni
indeed
تُبۡتُ
tub'tu
I turn
إِلَيۡكَ
ilayka
to You
وَإِنِّي
wa-inni
and indeed I am
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ
al-mus'limina
those who submit
١٥
46:16
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ulaika
Those
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
(are) the ones
نَتَقَبَّلُ
nataqabbalu
We will accept
عَنۡهُمۡ
anhum
from them
أَحۡسَنَ
ahsana
(the) best
مَا
ma
(of) what
عَمِلُواْ
amilu
they did
وَنَتَجَاوَزُ
wanatajawazu
and We will overlook
عَن
an
[from]
سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمۡ
sayyiatihim
their evil deeds
فِيٓ
fi
among
أَصۡحَٰبِ
ashabi
(the) companions
ٱلۡجَنَّةِۖ
al-janati
(of) Paradise
وَعۡدَ
wa'da
A promise
ٱلصِّدۡقِ
al-sid'qi
true
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
which
كَانُواْ
kanu
they were
يُوعَدُونَ
yu'aduna
promised
١٦
46:17
وَٱلَّذِي
wa-alladhi
But the one who
قَالَ
qala
says
لِوَٰلِدَيۡهِ
liwalidayhi
to his parents
أُفّٖ
uffin
Uff
لَّكُمَآ
lakuma
to both of you
أَتَعِدَانِنِيٓ
ata'idanini
Do you promise me
أَنۡ
an
that
أُخۡرَجَ
ukh'raja
I will be brought forth
وَقَدۡ
waqad
and have already passed away
خَلَتِ
khalati
and have already passed away
ٱلۡقُرُونُ
al-qurunu
the generations
مِن
min
before me
قَبۡلِي
qabli
before me
وَهُمَا
wahuma
And they both
يَسۡتَغِيثَانِ
yastaghithani
seek help
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
(of) Allah
وَيۡلَكَ
waylaka
Woe to you
ءَامِنۡ
amin
Believe
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
وَعۡدَ
wa'da
(the) Promise
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
حَقّٞ
haqqun
(is) true
فَيَقُولُ
fayaqulu
But he says
مَا
ma
Not
هَٰذَآ
hadha
(is) this
إِلَّآ
illa
but
أَسَٰطِيرُ
asatiru
(the) stories
ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
al-awalina
(of) the former (people)
١٧
46:18
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ulaika
Those
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
(are) the ones
حَقَّ
haqqa
(has) proved true
عَلَيۡهِمُ
alayhimu
against them
ٱلۡقَوۡلُ
al-qawlu
the word
فِيٓ
fi
among
أُمَمٖ
umamin
nations
قَدۡ
qad
(that) already passed away
خَلَتۡ
khalat
(that) already passed away
مِن
min
before them
قَبۡلِهِم
qablihim
before them
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡجِنِّ
al-jini
(the) jinn
وَٱلۡإِنسِۖ
wal-insi
and the men
إِنَّهُمۡ
innahum
Indeed they
كَانُواْ
kanu
are
خَٰسِرِينَ
khasirina
(the) losers
١٨
46:19
وَلِكُلّٖ
walikullin
And for all
دَرَجَٰتٞ
darajatun
(are) degrees
مِّمَّا
mimma
for what
عَمِلُواْۖ
amilu
they did
وَلِيُوَفِّيَهُمۡ
waliyuwaffiyahum
and that He may fully compensate them
أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ
a'malahum
(for) their deeds
وَهُمۡ
wahum
and they
لَا
la
will not be wronged
يُظۡلَمُونَ
yuz'lamuna
will not be wronged
١٩
46:20
وَيَوۡمَ
wayawma
And (the) Day
يُعۡرَضُ
yu'radu
will be exposed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaru
disbelieved
عَلَى
ala
to
ٱلنَّارِ
al-nari
the Fire
أَذۡهَبۡتُمۡ
adhhabtum
You exhausted
طَيِّبَٰتِكُمۡ
tayyibatikum
your good things
فِي
fi
in
حَيَاتِكُمُ
hayatikumu
your life
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
al-dun'ya
(of) the world
وَٱسۡتَمۡتَعۡتُم
wa-is'tamta'tum
and you took your pleasures
بِهَا
biha
therein
فَٱلۡيَوۡمَ
fal-yawma
So today
تُجۡزَوۡنَ
tuj'zawna
you will be recompensed
عَذَابَ
adhaba
(with) a punishment
ٱلۡهُونِ
al-huni
humiliating
بِمَا
bima
because
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
you were
تَسۡتَكۡبِرُونَ
tastakbiruna
arrogant
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the earth
بِغَيۡرِ
bighayri
without
ٱلۡحَقِّ
al-haqi
[the] right
وَبِمَا
wabima
and because
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
you were
تَفۡسُقُونَ
tafsuquna
defiantly disobedient
٢٠
