46:15
وَوَصَّيۡنَا
Wa-waṣṣaynal
And We have enjoined
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ
ʹiñsaana
(on) man
بِوَٰلِدَيۡهِ
biwaalidayhi
to his parents
إِحۡسَٰنًاۖ
ʹiḥsaanaa:
kindness
حَمَلَتۡهُ
ḥamalathu
Carried him
أُمُّهُۥ
ʹummuhoo
his mother
كُرۡهٗا
kurhañw
(with) hardship
وَوَضَعَتۡهُ
wawaḍaʻathu
and gave birth to him
كُرۡهٗاۖ
kurhaa.
(with) hardship
وَحَمۡلُهُۥ
Wa-ḥamluhoo
And (the) bearing of him
وَفِصَٰلُهُۥ
wa-fiṣaaluhoo
and (the) weaning of him
ثَلَٰثُونَ
s̤alaas̤oona
(is) thirty
شَهۡرًاۚ
shahraa.
month(s)
حَتَّىٰٓ
Ḥattaaa
until
إِذَا
ʹiẓaa
when
بَلَغَ
balag̣a
he reaches
أَشُدَّهُۥ
ʹashuddahoo
his maturity
وَبَلَغَ
wa-balag̣a
and reaches
أَرۡبَعِينَ
ʹarbaʻeena
forty
سَنَةٗ
sanatañ
year(s)
قَالَ
q̣aala
he says
رَبِّ
Rabbi
My Lord
أَوۡزِعۡنِيٓ
ʹawziʻneee
grant me (the) power
أَنۡ
ʹan
that
أَشۡكُرَ
ʹashkura
I may be grateful
نِعۡمَتَكَ
niʻmatakal
(for) Your favor
ٱلَّتِيٓ
lateee
which
أَنۡعَمۡتَ
ʹanʻamta
You have bestowed
عَلَيَّ
ʻalayya
upon me
وَعَلَىٰ
wa-ʻalaa
and upon
وَٰلِدَيَّ
waalidayya
my parents
وَأَنۡ
wa-ʹan
and that
أَعۡمَلَ
ʹaʻmala
I do
صَٰلِحٗا
ṣaaliḥañ
righteous (deeds)
تَرۡضَىٰهُ
tarḍaahu
which please You
وَأَصۡلِحۡ
wa-ʹaṣliḥ
and make righteous
لِي
lee
for me
فِي
fee
among
ذُرِّيَّتِيٓۖ
ẓurriyyatee.
my offspring
إِنِّي
ʹInnee
indeed
تُبۡتُ
tubtu
I turn
إِلَيۡكَ
ʹilayka
to You
وَإِنِّي
wa-ʹinnee
and indeed I am
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ
Muslimeen.
those who submit
١٥
46:16
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ʹUlaaaʹikal
Those
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
(are) the ones
نَتَقَبَّلُ
nataq̣abbalu
We will accept
عَنۡهُمۡ
ʻanhum
from them
أَحۡسَنَ
ʹaḥsana
(the) best
مَا
maa-
(of) what
عَمِلُواْ
ʻamiloo
they did
وَنَتَجَاوَزُ
wa-natajaawazu
and We will overlook
عَن
ʻañ
[from]
سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمۡ
sayyiʹaatihim
their evil deeds
فِيٓ
feee
among
أَصۡحَٰبِ
ʹaṣḥaabil
(the) companions
ٱلۡجَنَّةِۖ
Jannah:
(of) Paradise
وَعۡدَ
waʻdaṣ
A promise
ٱلصِّدۡقِ
ṣidq̣il
true
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
which
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they were
يُوعَدُونَ
yooʻadoon.
promised
١٦
46:17
وَٱلَّذِي
Wallaẓee
But the one who
قَالَ
q̣aala
says
لِوَٰلِدَيۡهِ
liwaalidayhi
to his parents
أُفّٖ
ʹuffil
Uff
لَّكُمَآ
lakumaaa
to both of you
أَتَعِدَانِنِيٓ
ʹataʻidaanineee
Do you promise me
أَنۡ
ʹan
that
أُخۡرَجَ
ʹukhraja
I will be brought forth
وَقَدۡ
wa-q̣ad
and have already passed away
خَلَتِ
khalatil
and have already passed away
ٱلۡقُرُونُ
q̣uroonu
the generations
مِن
miñ
before me
قَبۡلِي
q̣ablee?
before me
وَهُمَا
Wa-humaa
And they both
يَسۡتَغِيثَانِ
yastag̣ees̤aanil
seek help
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
(of) Allah
وَيۡلَكَ
waylaka
Woe to you
ءَامِنۡ
ʹaamin!
Believe
إِنَّ
ʹInna
Indeed
وَعۡدَ
waʻdal
(the) Promise
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
حَقّٞ
ḥaq̣q̣.
(is) true
فَيَقُولُ
Fayaq̣oolu
But he says
مَا
maa-
Not
هَٰذَآ
haaẓaaa
(is) this
إِلَّآ
ʹillaaa
but
أَسَٰطِيرُ
ʹasaaṭeerul
(the) stories
ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
ʹawwaleen!
(of) the former (people)
١٧
46:18
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ʹUlaaaʹikal
Those
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
(are) the ones
حَقَّ
ḥaq̣q̣a
(has) proved true
عَلَيۡهِمُ
ʻalayhimul
against them
ٱلۡقَوۡلُ
Q̣awlu
the word
فِيٓ
feee
among
أُمَمٖ
ʹumamiñ
nations
قَدۡ
q̣ad
(that) already passed away
خَلَتۡ
khalat
(that) already passed away
مِن
miñ
before them
قَبۡلِهِم
q̣ablihim
before them
مِّنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡجِنِّ
jinni
(the) jinn
وَٱلۡإِنسِۖ
wal-ʹiñs:
and the men
إِنَّهُمۡ
ʹinnahum
Indeed they
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
are
خَٰسِرِينَ
khaasireen.
(the) losers
١٨
46:19
وَلِكُلّٖ
Wa-likulliñ
And for all
دَرَجَٰتٞ
darajaatum
(are) degrees
مِّمَّا
mimmaa
for what
عَمِلُواْۖ
ʻamiloo,
they did
وَلِيُوَفِّيَهُمۡ
wa-liyuwaf-fiyahum
and that He may fully compensate them
أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ
ʹaʻmaalahum
(for) their deeds
وَهُمۡ
Wahum
and they
لَا
laa-
will not be wronged
يُظۡلَمُونَ
yuz̤̣lamoon.
will not be wronged
١٩
46:20
وَيَوۡمَ
Wa-Yawma
And (the) Day
يُعۡرَضُ
yuʻraḍul
will be exposed
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaroo
disbelieved
عَلَى
ʻalan
to
ٱلنَّارِ
Naar.
the Fire
أَذۡهَبۡتُمۡ
ʹAẓhabtum
You exhausted
طَيِّبَٰتِكُمۡ
ṭayyibaatikum
your good things
فِي
fee
in
حَيَاتِكُمُ
ḥayaatikumud
your life
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
dunyaa
(of) the world
وَٱسۡتَمۡتَعۡتُم
wastamtaʻtum̃
and you took your pleasures
بِهَا
bihaa:
therein
فَٱلۡيَوۡمَ
fal-Yawma
So today
تُجۡزَوۡنَ
tujzawna
you will be recompensed
عَذَابَ
ʻaẓaabal
(with) a punishment
ٱلۡهُونِ
hooni
humiliating
بِمَا
bimaa
because
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
you were
تَسۡتَكۡبِرُونَ
tastakbiroona
arrogant
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
the earth
بِغَيۡرِ
big̣ayril
without
ٱلۡحَقِّ
ḥaq̣q̣i
[the] right
وَبِمَا
wa-bimaa
and because
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
you were
تَفۡسُقُونَ
tafsuq̣oon.
defiantly disobedient
