44:19وَأَنwa-anAnd thatلَّاla(do) notتَعۡلُواْta'luexalt yourselvesعَلَىalaagainstٱللَّهِۖal-lahiAllahإِنِّيٓinniIndeed Iءَاتِيكُمatikum[I] have come to youبِسُلۡطَٰنٖbisul'taninwith an authorityمُّبِينٖmubininclear١٩
44:20وَإِنِّيwa-inniAnd indeed Iعُذۡتُudh'tu[I] seek refugeبِرَبِّيbirabbiwith my Lordوَرَبِّكُمۡwarabbikumand your Lordأَنanlestتَرۡجُمُونِtarjumuniyou stone me٢٠
44:21وَإِنwa-inAnd ifلَّمۡlamnotتُؤۡمِنُواْtu'minuyou believeلِيlimeفَٱعۡتَزِلُونِfa-i'tazilunithen leave me alone٢١
44:22فَدَعَاfada'aSo he calledرَبَّهُۥٓrabbahuhis LordأَنَّannaThatهَٰٓؤُلَآءِhaulaitheseقَوۡمٞqawmun(are) a peopleمُّجۡرِمُونَmuj'rimunacriminals٢٢
44:23فَأَسۡرِfa-asriThen Set outبِعِبَادِيbi'ibadiwith My slavesلَيۡلًاlaylan(by) nightإِنَّكُمinnakumIndeed youمُّتَّبَعُونَmuttaba'una(will be) followed٢٣
44:24وَٱتۡرُكِwa-ut'rukiAnd leaveٱلۡبَحۡرَal-bahrathe seaرَهۡوًاۖrahwanat restإِنَّهُمۡinnahumIndeed theyجُندٞjundun(are) an armyمُّغۡرَقُونَmugh'raquna(to be) drowned٢٤
44:25كَمۡkamHow manyتَرَكُواْtaraku(did) they leaveمِنminofجَنَّٰتٖjannatingardensوَعُيُونٖwa'uyuninand springs٢٥
44:27وَنَعۡمَةٖwana'matinAnd pleasant thingsكَانُواْkanuthey used toفِيهَاfihathereinفَٰكِهِينَfakihinatake delight٢٧
44:28كَذَٰلِكَۖkadhalikaThusوَأَوۡرَثۡنَٰهَاwa-awrathnahaAnd We made it (an) inherit(ance)قَوۡمًاqawman(for) a peopleءَاخَرِينَakharinaanother٢٨
44:29فَمَاfamaAnd notبَكَتۡbakatweptعَلَيۡهِمُalayhimufor themٱلسَّمَآءُal-samauthe heavenوَٱلۡأَرۡضُwal-arduand the earthوَمَاwamaand notكَانُواْkanuthey wereمُنظَرِينَmunzarinagiven respite٢٩
44:30وَلَقَدۡwalaqadAnd certainlyنَجَّيۡنَاnajjaynaWe savedبَنِيٓbani(the) Children of Israelإِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَis'raila(the) Children of Israelمِنَminafromٱلۡعَذَابِal-'adhabithe punishmentٱلۡمُهِينِal-muhinithe humiliating٣٠
44:31مِنminFromفِرۡعَوۡنَۚfir'awnaFiraunإِنَّهُۥinnahuIndeed heكَانَkanawasعَالِيٗاaliyanarrogantمِّنَminaamongٱلۡمُسۡرِفِينَal-mus'rifinathe transgressors٣١
44:32وَلَقَدِwalaqadiAnd certainlyٱخۡتَرۡنَٰهُمۡikh'tarnahumWe chose themعَلَىٰalabyعِلۡمٍil'minknowledgeعَلَىalaoverٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَal-'alaminathe worlds٣٢
44:33وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمwaataynahumAnd We gave themمِّنَminaofٱلۡأٓيَٰتِal-ayatithe Signsمَاmathatفِيهِfihiin itبَلَٰٓؤٞاْbalaon(was) a trialمُّبِينٌmubinunclear٣٣
44:35إِنۡinNotهِيَhiyaitإِلَّاilla(is) butمَوۡتَتُنَاmawtatunaour deathٱلۡأُولَىٰal-ulathe firstوَمَاwamaand notنَحۡنُnahnuweبِمُنشَرِينَbimunsharina(will be) raised again٣٥
44:36فَأۡتُواْfatuThen bringبِـَٔابَآئِنَآbiabainaour forefathersإِنinifكُنتُمۡkuntumyou areصَٰدِقِينَsadiqinatruthful٣٦
44:37أَهُمۡahumAre theyخَيۡرٌkhayrunbetterأَمۡamorقَوۡمُqawmu(the) peopleتُبَّعٖtubba'in(of) Tubbaوَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhinaand thoseمِنminbefore themقَبۡلِهِمۡqablihimbefore themأَهۡلَكۡنَٰهُمۡۚahlaknahumWe destroyed themإِنَّهُمۡinnahumindeed theyكَانُواْkanuwereمُجۡرِمِينَmuj'riminacriminals٣٧
44:38وَمَاwamaAnd notخَلَقۡنَاkhalaqnaWe createdٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِal-samawatithe heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضَwal-ardaand the earthوَمَاwamaand whateverبَيۡنَهُمَاbaynahuma(is) between themلَٰعِبِينَla'ibina(in) play٣٨
44:39مَاmaNotخَلَقۡنَٰهُمَآkhalaqnahumaWe created both of themإِلَّاillabutبِٱلۡحَقِّbil-haqiin [the] truthوَلَٰكِنَّwalakinnabutأَكۡثَرَهُمۡaktharahummost of themلَاla(do) notيَعۡلَمُونَya'lamunaknow٣٩
