36:55إِنَّʹInnaIndeedأَصۡحَٰبَʹAṣḥaabal(the) companionsٱلۡجَنَّةِJannatil(of) ParadiseٱلۡيَوۡمَYawmathis Dayفِيfee[in]شُغُلٖshug̣uliñwill be occupiedفَٰكِهُونَfaakihoon;(in) amusement٥٥
36:56هُمۡHumTheyوَأَزۡوَٰجُهُمۡwa-ʹazwaajuhumand their spousesفِيfeeinظِلَٰلٍz̤̣ilaalinshadesعَلَىʻalalonٱلۡأَرَآئِكِʹaraaaʹiki[the] couchesمُتَّكِـُٔونَmuttakiʹoon;reclining٥٦
36:57لَهُمۡLahumFor themفِيهَاfeehaathereinفَٰكِهَةٞfaakihatuñw(are) fruitsوَلَهُمwalahumand for themمَّاmaa(is) whateverيَدَّعُونَyaddaʻoon;they call for٥٧
36:58سَلَٰمٞ˹Salaam!˺―PeaceقَوۡلٗاQ̣awlamA wordمِّنmirfromرَّبّٖRabbira LordرَّحِيمٖRaḥeem!Most Merciful٥٨
36:59وَٱمۡتَٰزُواْWamtaazulBut stand apartٱلۡيَوۡمَYawmatodayأَيُّهَاʹayyuhalO criminalsٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَmujrimoon!O criminals٥٩
36:60۞أَلَمۡʹAlamDid notأَعۡهَدۡʹaʻhadI enjoinإِلَيۡكُمۡʹilaykumupon youيَٰبَنِيٓyaaO Children of AdamءَادَمَBaneeeO Children of AdamأَنʹAadamaThatلَّاʹallaa(do) notتَعۡبُدُواْtaʻbudushworshipٱلشَّيۡطَٰنَۖShayṭaan;the Shaitaanإِنَّهُۥʹinnahooindeed heلَكُمۡlakum(is) for youعَدُوّٞʻaduwwuman enemyمُّبِينٞmubeen?―clear٦٠
36:61وَأَنِWa-ʹaniʻAnd thatٱعۡبُدُونِيۚbudoonee.you worship MeهَٰذَاHaaẓaaThisصِرَٰطٞṢiraaṭum(is) a PathمُّسۡتَقِيمٞMustaq̣eem.Straight٦١
36:62وَلَقَدۡWa-laq̣adAnd indeedأَضَلَّʹaḍallahe led astrayمِنكُمۡmiñkumfrom youجِبِلّٗاjibillaña multitudeكَثِيرًاۖkas̤eeraa.greatأَفَلَمۡʹAfalamThen did notتَكُونُواْtakoonooyouتَعۡقِلُونَtaʻq̣iloon?use reason٦٢
36:63هَٰذِهِۦHaaẓiheeThis (is)جَهَنَّمُJahannamul(the) Hellٱلَّتِيlateewhichكُنتُمۡkuñtumyou wereتُوعَدُونَtooʻadoon!promised٦٣
36:64ٱصۡلَوۡهَاʹIṣlawhalBurn thereinٱلۡيَوۡمَYawmatodayبِمَاbimaabecauseكُنتُمۡkuñtumyou used toتَكۡفُرُونَtakfuroon.disbelieve٦٤
36:65ٱلۡيَوۡمَʹAl-YawmaThis DayنَخۡتِمُnakhtimuWe will sealعَلَىٰٓʻalaaa[on]أَفۡوَٰهِهِمۡʹafwaahihimtheir mouthsوَتُكَلِّمُنَآwa-tukallimunaaaand will speak to Usأَيۡدِيهِمۡʹaydeehimtheir handsوَتَشۡهَدُwa-tashhaduand will bear witnessأَرۡجُلُهُمʹarjuluhum̃their feetبِمَاbimaaabout whatكَانُواْkaanoothey used toيَكۡسِبُونَyaksiboon.earn٦٥
36:66وَلَوۡWa-lawAnd ifنَشَآءُnashaaaʹuWe willedلَطَمَسۡنَاlaṭamasnaaWe (would have) surely obliteratedعَلَىٰٓʻalaaa[over]أَعۡيُنِهِمۡʹaʻyunihimtheir eyesفَٱسۡتَبَقُواْfastabaq̣uṣthen they (would) raceٱلصِّرَٰطَṢiraaṭa(to find) the pathفَأَنَّىٰfaʹannaathen howيُبۡصِرُونَyubṣiroon?(could) they see٦٦
36:67وَلَوۡWa-lawAnd ifنَشَآءُnashaaaʹuWe willedلَمَسَخۡنَٰهُمۡlamasakhnaahumsurely We (would have) transformed themعَلَىٰʻalaainمَكَانَتِهِمۡmakaanatihimtheir placesفَمَاfamasthen notٱسۡتَطَٰعُواْtaṭaaʻoothey would have been ableمُضِيّٗاmuḍiyyañwwato proceedوَلَاlaa-and notيَرۡجِعُونَyarjiʻoon.return٦٧
36:68وَمَنWa-manAnd (he) whomنُّعَمِّرۡهُnuʻammirhuWe grant him long lifeنُنَكِّسۡهُnunakkishuWe reverse himفِيfilinٱلۡخَلۡقِۚkhalq̣:the creationأَفَلَاʹafalaaThen will notيَعۡقِلُونَyaʻq̣iloon?they use intellect٦٨
36:69وَمَاWa-maaAnd notعَلَّمۡنَٰهُʻallamnaahushWe taught himٱلشِّعۡرَShiʻra[the] poetryوَمَاwa-maaand notيَنۢبَغِيyambag̣eeit is befittingلَهُۥٓۚlah:for himإِنۡʹinNotهُوَhuwaitإِلَّاʹillaa(is) exceptذِكۡرٞẒikruñwwaa ReminderوَقُرۡءَانٞQ̣ur-ʹaanumand a QuranمُّبِينٞMubeen:clear٦٩
36:70لِّيُنذِرَLiyuñẓiraTo warnمَنmañ(him) whoكَانَkaanaisحَيّٗاḥayyañwaliveوَيَحِقَّwayaḥiq̣q̣aland may be proved trueٱلۡقَوۡلُq̣awluthe Wordعَلَىʻalalagainstٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَkaafireen.the disbelievers٧٠
