36:55إِنَّinnaIndeedأَصۡحَٰبَashaba(the) companionsٱلۡجَنَّةِal-janati(of) Paradiseٱلۡيَوۡمَal-yawmathis Dayفِيfi[in]شُغُلٖshughulinwill be occupiedفَٰكِهُونَfakihuna(in) amusement٥٥
36:56هُمۡhumTheyوَأَزۡوَٰجُهُمۡwa-azwajuhumand their spousesفِيfiinظِلَٰلٍzilalinshadesعَلَىalaonٱلۡأَرَآئِكِal-araiki[the] couchesمُتَّكِـُٔونَmuttakiunareclining٥٦
36:57لَهُمۡlahumFor themفِيهَاfihathereinفَٰكِهَةٞfakihatun(are) fruitsوَلَهُمwalahumand for themمَّاma(is) whateverيَدَّعُونَyadda'unathey call for٥٧
36:58سَلَٰمٞsalamunPeaceقَوۡلٗاqawlanA wordمِّنminfromرَّبّٖrabbina LordرَّحِيمٖrahiminMost Merciful٥٨
36:59وَٱمۡتَٰزُواْwa-im'tazuBut stand apartٱلۡيَوۡمَal-yawmatodayأَيُّهَاayyuhaO criminalsٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَal-muj'rimunaO criminals٥٩
36:60۞أَلَمۡalamDid notأَعۡهَدۡa'hadI enjoinإِلَيۡكُمۡilaykumupon youيَٰبَنِيٓyabaniO Children of AdamءَادَمَadamaO Children of AdamأَنanThatلَّاla(do) notتَعۡبُدُواْta'buduworshipٱلشَّيۡطَٰنَۖal-shaytanathe Shaitaanإِنَّهُۥinnahuindeed heلَكُمۡlakum(is) for youعَدُوّٞaduwwunan enemyمُّبِينٞmubinunclear٦٠
36:61وَأَنِwa-aniAnd thatٱعۡبُدُونِيۚu'buduniyou worship MeهَٰذَاhadhaThisصِرَٰطٞsiratun(is) a Pathمُّسۡتَقِيمٞmus'taqimunStraight٦١
36:62وَلَقَدۡwalaqadAnd indeedأَضَلَّadallahe led astrayمِنكُمۡminkumfrom youجِبِلّٗاjibillana multitudeكَثِيرًاۖkathirangreatأَفَلَمۡafalamThen did notتَكُونُواْtakunuyouتَعۡقِلُونَta'qilunause reason٦٢
36:63هَٰذِهِۦhadhihiThis (is)جَهَنَّمُjahannamu(the) Hellٱلَّتِيallatiwhichكُنتُمۡkuntumyou wereتُوعَدُونَtu'adunapromised٦٣
36:64ٱصۡلَوۡهَاis'lawhaBurn thereinٱلۡيَوۡمَal-yawmatodayبِمَاbimabecauseكُنتُمۡkuntumyou used toتَكۡفُرُونَtakfurunadisbelieve٦٤
36:65ٱلۡيَوۡمَal-yawmaThis DayنَخۡتِمُnakhtimuWe will sealعَلَىٰٓala[on]أَفۡوَٰهِهِمۡafwahihimtheir mouthsوَتُكَلِّمُنَآwatukallimunaand will speak to Usأَيۡدِيهِمۡaydihimtheir handsوَتَشۡهَدُwatashhaduand will bear witnessأَرۡجُلُهُمarjuluhumtheir feetبِمَاbimaabout whatكَانُواْkanuthey used toيَكۡسِبُونَyaksibunaearn٦٥
36:66وَلَوۡwalawAnd ifنَشَآءُnashauWe willedلَطَمَسۡنَاlatamasnaWe (would have) surely obliteratedعَلَىٰٓala[over]أَعۡيُنِهِمۡa'yunihimtheir eyesفَٱسۡتَبَقُواْfa-is'tabaquthen they (would) raceٱلصِّرَٰطَal-sirata(to find) the pathفَأَنَّىٰfa-annathen howيُبۡصِرُونَyub'siruna(could) they see٦٦
36:67وَلَوۡwalawAnd ifنَشَآءُnashauWe willedلَمَسَخۡنَٰهُمۡlamasakhnahumsurely We (would have) transformed themعَلَىٰalainمَكَانَتِهِمۡmakanatihimtheir placesفَمَاfamathen notٱسۡتَطَٰعُواْis'tata'uthey would have been ableمُضِيّٗاmudiyyanto proceedوَلَاwalaand notيَرۡجِعُونَyarji'unareturn٦٧
36:68وَمَنwamanAnd (he) whomنُّعَمِّرۡهُnu'ammir'huWe grant him long lifeنُنَكِّسۡهُnunakkis'huWe reverse himفِيfiinٱلۡخَلۡقِۚal-khalqithe creationأَفَلَاafalaThen will notيَعۡقِلُونَya'qilunathey use intellect٦٨
36:69وَمَاwamaAnd notعَلَّمۡنَٰهُallamnahuWe taught himٱلشِّعۡرَal-shi'ra[the] poetryوَمَاwamaand notيَنۢبَغِيyanbaghiit is befittingلَهُۥٓۚlahufor himإِنۡinNotهُوَhuwaitإِلَّاilla(is) exceptذِكۡرٞdhik'runa Reminderوَقُرۡءَانٞwaqur'anunand a Quranمُّبِينٞmubinunclear٦٩
36:70لِّيُنذِرَliyundhiraTo warnمَنman(him) whoكَانَkanaisحَيّٗاhayyanaliveوَيَحِقَّwayahiqqaand may be proved trueٱلۡقَوۡلُal-qawluthe Wordعَلَىalaagainstٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَal-kafirinathe disbelievers٧٠
