36:41وَءَايَةٞWa-ʹAayatulAnd a Signلَّهُمۡlahumfor themأَنَّاʹannaa(is) thatحَمَلۡنَاḥamalnaaWe carriedذُرِّيَّتَهُمۡẓurriyyatahumtheir offspringفِيfilinٱلۡفُلۡكِfulkilthe shipٱلۡمَشۡحُونِmashḥoon;laden٤١
36:42وَخَلَقۡنَاWa-khalaq̣naaAnd We createdلَهُمlahumfor themمِّنmimfromمِّثۡلِهِۦmis̤lihee(the) likes of itمَاmaa-whatيَرۡكَبُونَyarkaboon.they ride٤٢
36:43وَإِنWa-ʹinAnd ifنَّشَأۡnashaʹWe willنُغۡرِقۡهُمۡnug̣riq̣humWe could drown themفَلَاfalaathen notصَرِيخَṣareekha(would be) a responder to a cryلَهُمۡlahumfor themوَلَاwa-laaand notهُمۡhumtheyيُنقَذُونَyuñq̣aẓoon,would be saved٤٣
36:44إِلَّاʹIllaaExceptرَحۡمَةٗRaḥmatam(by) Mercyمِّنَّاminnaafrom Usوَمَتَٰعًاwa-mataaʻanand provisionإِلَىٰʹilaaforحِينٖḥeen.a time٤٤
36:45وَإِذَاWa-ʹiẓaaAnd whenقِيلَq̣eelait is saidلَهُمُlahumutto themٱتَّقُواْtaq̣ooFearمَاMaa-whatبَيۡنَbayna(is) before youأَيۡدِيكُمۡʹaydeekum(is) before youوَمَاwa-maaand whatخَلۡفَكُمۡkhalfakum(is) behind youلَعَلَّكُمۡlaʻallakumso that you mayتُرۡحَمُونَturḥamoon.receive mercy٤٥
36:46وَمَاWa-maaAnd notتَأۡتِيهِمtaʹteehimcomes to themمِّنۡminofءَايَةٖʹAayatima SignمِّنۡminfromءَايَٰتِʹAayaati(the) SignsرَبِّهِمۡRabbihim(of) their Lordإِلَّاʹillaabutكَانُواْkaanootheyعَنۡهَاʻanhaafrom itمُعۡرِضِينَmuʻriḍeen.turn away٤٦
36:47وَإِذَاWa-ʹiẓaaAnd whenقِيلَq̣eelait is saidلَهُمۡlahumto themأَنفِقُواْʹañfiq̣ooSpendمِمَّاmimmaafrom whatرَزَقَكُمُrazaq̣akumul(has) provided youٱللَّهُlaahuAllahقَالَq̣aalalSaidٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenathose whoكَفَرُواْkafaroodisbelievedلِلَّذِينَlillaẓeenato those whoءَامَنُوٓاْʹaamanooobelievedأَنُطۡعِمُʹanuṭʻimuShould we feedمَنmalwhomلَّوۡlawifيَشَآءُyashaaaʹulAllah willed ٱللَّهُlaahuAllah willed أَطۡعَمَهُۥٓʹaṭʻamah?―He would have fed himإِنۡʹInNotأَنتُمۡʹañtum(are) youإِلَّاʹillaaexceptفِيfeeinضَلَٰلٖḍalaaliman errorمُّبِينٖmubeen.clear٤٧
36:48وَيَقُولُونَWa-yaq̣ooloonaAnd they sayمَتَىٰmataaWhen (is)هَٰذَاhaaẓalthisٱلۡوَعۡدُwaʻdupromiseإِنʹiñifكُنتُمۡkuñtumyou areصَٰدِقِينَṣaadiq̣een?truthful٤٨
36:49مَاMaa-Notيَنظُرُونَyañz̤̣uroonathey awaitإِلَّاʹillaaexceptصَيۡحَةٗṢayḥatañwa shoutوَٰحِدَةٗwaaḥidatañoneتَأۡخُذُهُمۡtaʹkhuẓuhumit will seize themوَهُمۡwa-humwhile theyيَخِصِّمُونَyakhiṣṣimoon!are disputing٤٩
36:50فَلَاFalaaThen notيَسۡتَطِيعُونَyastaṭeeʻoonathey will be ableتَوۡصِيَةٗtaw-ṣiyatañw(to) make a willوَلَآwalaaaand notإِلَىٰٓʹilaaatoأَهۡلِهِمۡʹahlihimtheir peopleيَرۡجِعُونَyarjiʻoon!they (can) return٥٠
36:51وَنُفِخَWa-nufikhaAnd will be blownفِيfiṣ[in]ٱلصُّورِṢoorithe trumpetفَإِذَاfaʹiẓaaand beholdهُمhumTheyمِّنَminalfromٱلۡأَجۡدَاثِʹajdaas̤ithe gravesإِلَىٰʹilaatoرَبِّهِمۡRabbihimtheir Lordيَنسِلُونَyañsiloon![they] will hasten٥١
36:52قَالُواْQ̣aalooThey [will] sayيَٰوَيۡلَنَاyaa-waylanaaO woe to usمَنۢmamWhoبَعَثَنَاbaʻas̤anaahas raised usمِنmimfromمَّرۡقَدِنَاۜۗmarq̣adinaaour sleeping placeهَٰذَاHaaẓaaThis (is)مَاmaa-Whatوَعَدَwaʻadar(had) promisedٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُRaḥmaanuthe Most Graciousوَصَدَقَwaṣadaq̣aland told (the) truthٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَmursaloon!the Messengers٥٢
36:53إِنʹIñNotكَانَتۡkaanatit will beإِلَّاʹillaabutصَيۡحَةٗṢayḥatañwa shoutوَٰحِدَةٗwaaḥidatañsingleفَإِذَاfaʹiẓaaso beholdهُمۡhumTheyجَمِيعٞjameeʻulallلَّدَيۡنَاladaynaabefore Usمُحۡضَرُونَmuḥḍaroon!(will be) brought٥٣
36:54فَٱلۡيَوۡمَFal-YawmaSo this Dayلَاlaa-notتُظۡلَمُtuz̤̣lamuwill be wrongedنَفۡسٞnafsuña soulشَيۡـٔٗاshayʹañwwa(in) anythingوَلَاlaa-and notتُجۡزَوۡنَtujzawnayou will be recompensedإِلَّاʹillaaexceptمَاmaa-(for) whatكُنتُمۡkuñtumyou used (to)تَعۡمَلُونَtaʻmaloon.do٥٤
