أَفۡتَرَىٰ

Has he invented
عَلَى
ʻalal

ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
كَذِبًا
kaẓiban
a lie
أَم
ʹam̃

بِهِۦ
bihee
in him
جِنَّةُۢۗ
jinnah?
(is) madness
بَلِ
Balil
Nay
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
لَا
laa-
(do) not
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yuʹminoona
believe
بِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
bil-ʹAakhirati
in the Hereafter
فِي
filʻAẓaabi
(will be) in
ٱلۡعَذَابِ
waḍ
the punishment
وَٱلضَّلَٰلِ
Ḍalaalil
and error
ٱلۡبَعِيدِ
baʻeed.
far
٨
34:9
أَفَلَمۡ
ʹAfalam
Then do not
يَرَوۡاْ
yaraw
they see
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
towards
مَا
maa-
what
بَيۡنَ
bayna
(is) before them
أَيۡدِيهِمۡ
ʹaydeehim
(is) before them
وَمَا
wa-maa
and what
خَلۡفَهُم
khalfahum
(is) behind them
مِّنَ
minas
of
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
samaaaʹi
the heaven
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ
wal-ʹarḍ?
and the earth
إِن
ʹIn
If
نَّشَأۡ
nashaʹ
We will
نَخۡسِفۡ
nakhsif
We (could) cause to swallow them
بِهِمُ
bihimul
We (could) cause to swallow them
ٱلۡأَرۡضَ
ʹarḍa
the earth
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
نُسۡقِطۡ
nusq̣iṭ
cause to fall
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
ʻalayhim
upon them
كِسَفٗا
kisafam
fragments
مِّنَ
minas
from
ٱلسَّمَآءِۚ
samaaaʹ.
the sky
إِنَّ
ʹInna
Indeed
فِي
fee
in
ذَٰلِكَ
ẓaalika
that
لَأٓيَةٗ
laʹAayatal
surely is a Sign
لِّكُلِّ
likulli
for every
عَبۡدٖ
ʻabdim
slave
مُّنِيبٖ
muneeb.
who turns (to Allah)
٩
34:10
۞وَلَقَدۡ
Wa-laq̣ad
And certainly
ءَاتَيۡنَا
ʹaataynaa
We gave
دَاوُۥدَ
Daawooda
Dawood
مِنَّا
minnaa
from Us
فَضۡلٗاۖ
Faḍlaa:
Bounty
يَٰجِبَالُ
yaa-Jibaalu
O mountains
أَوِّبِي
ʹawwibee
Repeat praises
مَعَهُۥ
maʻahoo
with him
وَٱلطَّيۡرَۖ
waṭṭayr!
and the birds
وَأَلَنَّا
Wa-ʹalannaa
And We made pliable
لَهُ
lahul
for him
ٱلۡحَدِيدَ
ḥadeed:―
[the] iron
١٠
34:11
أَنِ
ʹAniʻ
That
ٱعۡمَلۡ
mal
make
سَٰبِغَٰتٖ
saabig̣aatiñw
full coats of mail
وَقَدِّرۡ
waq̣addir
and measure precisely
فِي
fis
[of]
ٱلسَّرۡدِۖ
sardi
the links (of armor)
وَٱعۡمَلُواْ
waʻmaloo
and work
صَٰلِحًاۖ
ṣaaliḥaa;
righteousness
إِنِّي
ʹinnee
Indeed I Am
بِمَا
bimaa
of what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
taʻmaloona
you do
بَصِيرٞ
Baṣeer.
All-Seer
١١
34:12
وَلِسُلَيۡمَٰنَ
Wa-li-Sulaymaanar
And to Sulaiman
ٱلرِّيحَ
reeḥa
the wind
غُدُوُّهَا
g̣uduwwuhaa
its morning course
شَهۡرٞ
shahruñw
(was) a month
وَرَوَاحُهَا
warawaaḥuhaa
and its afternoon course
شَهۡرٞۖ
shahr.
(was) a month
وَأَسَلۡنَا
Wa-ʹasalnaa
and We caused to flow
لَهُۥ
lahoo
for him
عَيۡنَ
ʻaynal
a spring
ٱلۡقِطۡرِۖ
q̣iṭr;
(of) molten copper
وَمِنَ
wa-minal
And [of]
ٱلۡجِنِّ
jinni
the jinn
مَن
mañy
who
يَعۡمَلُ
yaʻmalu
worked
بَيۡنَ
bayna
before him
يَدَيۡهِ
yadayhi
before him
بِإِذۡنِ
biʹiẓni
by the permission
رَبِّهِۦۖ
Rabbih.
(of) his Lord
وَمَن
Wa-mañy
And whoever
يَزِغۡ
yazig̣
deviated
مِنۡهُمۡ
minhum
among them
عَنۡ
ʻan
from
أَمۡرِنَا
ʹamrinaa
Our Command
نُذِقۡهُ
nuẓiq̣hu
We will make him taste
مِنۡ
min
of
عَذَابِ
ʻAẓaabis
(the) punishment
ٱلسَّعِيرِ
saʻeer.
(of) the Blaze
١٢
34:13
يَعۡمَلُونَ
Yaʻmaloona
They worked
لَهُۥ
lahoo
for him
مَا
maa-
what
يَشَآءُ
yashaaaʹu
he willed
مِن
mim
of
مَّحَٰرِيبَ
maḥaareeba
elevated chambers
وَتَمَٰثِيلَ
wa-tamaas̤eela
and statues
وَجِفَانٖ
wa-jifaaniñ
and bowls
كَٱلۡجَوَابِ
kaljawaabi
like reservoirs
وَقُدُورٖ
wa-q̣udoorir
and cooking-pots
رَّاسِيَٰتٍۚ
raasiyaat.
fixed
ٱعۡمَلُوٓاْ
ʹIʻmalooo
Work
ءَالَ
ʹAala
O family
دَاوُۥدَ
Daawooda
(of) Dawood
شُكۡرٗاۚ
shukraa!
(in) gratitude
وَقَلِيلٞ
Wa-q̣aleelum
But few
مِّنۡ
min
of
عِبَادِيَ
ʻibaadiyash
My slaves
ٱلشَّكُورُ
shakoor!
(are) grateful
١٣
34:14
فَلَمَّا
Falammaa
Then when
قَضَيۡنَا
q̣aḍaynaa
We decreed
عَلَيۡهِ
ʻalayhil
for him
ٱلۡمَوۡتَ
mawta
the death
مَا
maa-
not
دَلَّهُمۡ
dallahum
indicated to them
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
[on]
مَوۡتِهِۦٓ
mawtiheee
his death
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
دَآبَّةُ
daaabbatul
a creature
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
(of) the earth
تَأۡكُلُ
taʹkulu
eating
مِنسَأَتَهُۥۖ
miñsaʹatah:
his staff
فَلَمَّا
falammaa
But when
خَرَّ
kharra
he fell down
تَبَيَّنَتِ
tabayyanatil
became clear
ٱلۡجِنُّ
Jinnu
(to) the jinn
أَن
ʹal
that
لَّوۡ
law
if
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they had
يَعۡلَمُونَ
yaʻlamoonal
known
ٱلۡغَيۡبَ
g̣ayba
the unseen
مَا
maa-
not
لَبِثُواْ
labis̤oo
they (would have) remained
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡعَذَابِ
ʻaẓaabil
the punishment
ٱلۡمُهِينِ
muheen.
humiliating
