أَوَلَمۡ

أَنَّ

ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
قَدۡ
qad
indeed
أَهۡلَكَ
ahlaka
destroyed
مِن
min
before him
قَبۡلِهِۦ
qablihi
before him
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡقُرُونِ
al-quruni
the generations
مَنۡ
man
who
هُوَ
huwa
[they]
أَشَدُّ
ashaddu
(were) stronger
مِنۡهُ
min'hu
than him
قُوَّةٗ
quwwatan
(in) strength
وَأَكۡثَرُ
wa-aktharu
and greater
جَمۡعٗاۚ
jam'an
(in) accumulation
وَلَا
wala
And not
يُسۡـَٔلُ
yus'alu
will be questioned
عَن
an
about
ذُنُوبِهِمُ
dhunubihimu
their sins
ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ
al-muj'rimuna
the criminals
٧٨
28:79
فَخَرَجَ
fakharaja
So he went forth
عَلَىٰ
ala
to
قَوۡمِهِۦ
qawmihi
his people
فِي
fi
in
زِينَتِهِۦۖ
zinatihi
his adornment
قَالَ
qala
Said
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
يُرِيدُونَ
yuriduna
desire
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ
al-hayata
the life
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
al-dun'ya
(of) the world
يَٰلَيۡتَ
yalayta
O! Would that
لَنَا
lana
for us
مِثۡلَ
mith'la
(the) like
مَآ
ma
(of) what
أُوتِيَ
utiya
has been given
قَٰرُونُ
qarunu
(to) Qarun
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed he
لَذُو
ladhu
(is the) owner
حَظٍّ
hazzin
(of) fortune
عَظِيمٖ
azimin
great
٧٩
28:80
وَقَالَ
waqala
But said
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
أُوتُواْ
utu
were given
ٱلۡعِلۡمَ
al-'il'ma
the knowledge
وَيۡلَكُمۡ
waylakum
Woe to you
ثَوَابُ
thawabu
(The) reward
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
خَيۡرٞ
khayrun
(is) better
لِّمَنۡ
liman
for (he) who
ءَامَنَ
amana
believes
وَعَمِلَ
wa'amila
and does
صَٰلِحٗاۚ
salihan
righteous (deeds)
وَلَا
wala
And not
يُلَقَّىٰهَآ
yulaqqaha
it is granted
إِلَّا
illa
except
ٱلصَّٰبِرُونَ
al-sabiruna
(to) the patient ones
٨٠
28:81
فَخَسَفۡنَا
fakhasafna
Then We caused to swallow up
بِهِۦ
bihi
him
وَبِدَارِهِ
wabidarihi
and his home
ٱلۡأَرۡضَ
al-arda
the earth
فَمَا
fama
Then not
كَانَ
kana
was
لَهُۥ
lahu
for him
مِن
min
any
فِئَةٖ
fi-atin
group
يَنصُرُونَهُۥ
yansurunahu
(to) help him
مِن
min
besides
دُونِ
duni
besides
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
وَمَا
wama
and not
كَانَ
kana
was
مِنَ
mina
(he) of
ٱلۡمُنتَصِرِينَ
al-muntasirina
those who (could) defend themselves
٨١
28:82
وَأَصۡبَحَ
wa-asbaha
And began
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
تَمَنَّوۡاْ
tamannaw
(had) wished
مَكَانَهُۥ
makanahu
his position
بِٱلۡأَمۡسِ
bil-amsi
the day before
يَقُولُونَ
yaquluna
(to) say
وَيۡكَأَنَّ
wayka-anna
Ah! That
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
يَبۡسُطُ
yabsutu
extends
ٱلرِّزۡقَ
al-riz'qa
the provision
لِمَن
liman
for whom
يَشَآءُ
yashau
He wills
مِنۡ
min
of
عِبَادِهِۦ
ibadihi
His slaves
وَيَقۡدِرُۖ
wayaqdiru
and restricts it
لَوۡلَآ
lawla
If not
أَن
an
that
مَّنَّ
manna
Allah had favored
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah had favored
عَلَيۡنَا
alayna
[to] us
لَخَسَفَ
lakhasafa
He would have caused it to swallow us
بِنَاۖ
bina
He would have caused it to swallow us
وَيۡكَأَنَّهُۥ
wayka-annahu
Ah! That
لَا
la
not
يُفۡلِحُ
yuf'lihu
will succeed
ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ
al-kafiruna
the disbelievers
٨٢
28:83
تِلۡكَ
til'ka
That
ٱلدَّارُ
al-daru
the Home
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةُ
al-akhiratu
(of) the Hereafter
نَجۡعَلُهَا
naj'aluha
We assign it
لِلَّذِينَ
lilladhina
to those who
لَا
la
(do) not
يُرِيدُونَ
yuriduna
desire
عُلُوّٗا
uluwwan
exaltedness
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the earth
وَلَا
wala
and not
فَسَادٗاۚ
fasadan
corruption
وَٱلۡعَٰقِبَةُ
wal-'aqibatu
And the good end
لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ
lil'muttaqina
(is) for the righteous
٨٣
28:84
مَن
man
Whoever
جَآءَ
jaa
comes
بِٱلۡحَسَنَةِ
bil-hasanati
with a good (deed)
فَلَهُۥ
falahu
then for him
خَيۡرٞ
khayrun
(will be) better
مِّنۡهَاۖ
min'ha
than it
وَمَن
waman
and whoever
جَآءَ
jaa
comes
بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ
bil-sayi-ati
with an evil (deed)
فَلَا
fala
then not
يُجۡزَى
yuj'za
will be recompensed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
عَمِلُواْ
amilu
do
ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ
al-sayiati
the evil (deeds)
إِلَّا
illa
except
مَا
ma
what
كَانُواْ
kanu
they used (to)
يَعۡمَلُونَ
ya'maluna
do
