فَلَمَّا
falamma
But when
جَآءَهُم

came to them
مُّوسَىٰ
musa
Musa
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
biayatina
with Our Signs
بَيِّنَٰتٖ
bayyinatin
clear
قَالُواْ
qalu
they said
مَا
ma
Not
هَٰذَآ
hadha
(is) this
إِلَّا
illa
except
سِحۡرٞ
sih'run
a magic
مُّفۡتَرٗى
muf'taran
invented
وَمَا
wama
and not
سَمِعۡنَا
sami'na
we heard
بِهَٰذَا
bihadha
of this
فِيٓ
fi
among
ءَابَآئِنَا
abaina
our forefathers
ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
al-awalina
our forefathers
٣٦
28:37
وَقَالَ
waqala
And Musa said
مُوسَىٰ
musa
And Musa said
رَبِّيٓ
rabbi
My Lord
أَعۡلَمُ
a'lamu
knows best
بِمَن
biman
of who
جَآءَ
jaa
has come
بِٱلۡهُدَىٰ
bil-huda
with [the] guidance
مِنۡ
min
from Him
عِندِهِۦ
indihi
from Him
وَمَن
waman
and who
تَكُونُ
takunu
will be
لَهُۥ
lahu
for him
عَٰقِبَةُ
aqibatu
the good end in the Hereafter
ٱلدَّارِۚ
al-dari
the good end in the Hereafter
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed
لَا
la
not
يُفۡلِحُ
yuf'lihu
will be successful
ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
al-zalimuna
the wrongdoers
٣٧
28:38
وَقَالَ
waqala
And Firaun said
فِرۡعَوۡنُ
fir'awnu
And Firaun said
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
yaayyuha
O chiefs
ٱلۡمَلَأُ
al-mala-u
O chiefs
مَا
ma
Not
عَلِمۡتُ
alim'tu
I know
لَكُم
lakum
for you
مِّنۡ
min
any
إِلَٰهٍ
ilahin
god
غَيۡرِي
ghayri
other than me
فَأَوۡقِدۡ
fa-awqid
So kindle
لِي
li
for me
يَٰهَٰمَٰنُ
yahamanu
O Haman
عَلَى
ala
Upon
ٱلطِّينِ
al-tini
the clay
فَٱجۡعَل
fa-ij'al
and make
لِّي
li
for me
صَرۡحٗا
sarhan
a lofty tower
لَّعَلِّيٓ
la'alli
so that [I]
أَطَّلِعُ
attali'u
I may look
إِلَىٰٓ
ila
at
إِلَٰهِ
ilahi
(the) God
مُوسَىٰ
musa
(of) Musa
وَإِنِّي
wa-inni
And indeed I
لَأَظُنُّهُۥ
la-azunnuhu
[I] think that he
مِنَ
mina
(is) of
ٱلۡكَٰذِبِينَ
al-kadhibina
the liars
٣٨
28:39
وَٱسۡتَكۡبَرَ
wa-is'takbara
And he was arrogant
هُوَ
huwa
And he was arrogant
وَجُنُودُهُۥ
wajunuduhu
and his hosts
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the land
بِغَيۡرِ
bighayri
without
ٱلۡحَقِّ
al-haqi
right
وَظَنُّوٓاْ
wazannu
and they thought
أَنَّهُمۡ
annahum
that they
إِلَيۡنَا
ilayna
to Us
لَا
la
not
يُرۡجَعُونَ
yur'ja'una
will be returned
٣٩
28:40
فَأَخَذۡنَٰهُ
fa-akhadhnahu
So We seized him
وَجُنُودَهُۥ
wajunudahu
and his hosts
فَنَبَذۡنَٰهُمۡ
fanabadhnahum
and We threw them
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡيَمِّۖ
al-yami
the sea
فَٱنظُرۡ
fa-unzur
So see
كَيۡفَ
kayfa
how
كَانَ
kana
was
عَٰقِبَةُ
aqibatu
(the) end
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
al-zalimina
(of) the wrongdoers
٤٠
28:41
وَجَعَلۡنَٰهُمۡ
waja'alnahum
And We made them
أَئِمَّةٗ
a-immatan
leaders
يَدۡعُونَ
yad'una
inviting
إِلَى
ila
to
ٱلنَّارِۖ
al-nari
the Fire
وَيَوۡمَ
wayawma
and (on the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
al-qiyamati
(of) the Resurrection
لَا
la
not
يُنصَرُونَ
yunsaruna
they will be helped
٤١
28:42
وَأَتۡبَعۡنَٰهُمۡ
wa-atba'nahum
And We caused to follow them
فِي
fi
in
هَٰذِهِ
hadhihi
this
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
al-dun'ya
world
لَعۡنَةٗۖ
la'natan
a curse
وَيَوۡمَ
wayawma
and (on the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
al-qiyamati
(of) the Resurrection
هُم
hum
they
مِّنَ
mina
(will be) of
ٱلۡمَقۡبُوحِينَ
al-maqbuhina
the despised
٤٢
28:43
وَلَقَدۡ
walaqad
And verily
ءَاتَيۡنَا
atayna
We gave
مُوسَى
musa
Musa
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
al-kitaba
the Scripture
مِنۢ
min
after [what]
بَعۡدِ
ba'di
after [what]
مَآ
ma
after [what]
أَهۡلَكۡنَا
ahlakna
We had destroyed
ٱلۡقُرُونَ
al-quruna
the generations
ٱلۡأُولَىٰ
al-ula
former
بَصَآئِرَ
basaira
(as) an enlightenment
لِلنَّاسِ
lilnnasi
for the mankind
وَهُدٗى
wahudan
and a guidance
وَرَحۡمَةٗ
warahmatan
and mercy
لَّعَلَّهُمۡ
la'allahum
that they may
يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
yatadhakkaruna
remember
٤٣
