فَلَمَّا
falamma
So when
جَآءَ
jaa
came
سُلَيۡمَٰنَ
sulaymana
(to) Sulaiman
قَالَ
qala
he said
أَتُمِدُّونَنِ
atumiddunani
Will you provide me
بِمَالٖ
bimalin
with wealth
فَمَآ
fama
But what
ءَاتَىٰنِۦَ
ataniya
Allah has given me
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah has given me
خَيۡرٞ
khayrun
(is) better
مِّمَّآ
mimma
than what
ءَاتَىٰكُمۚ
atakum
He has given you
بَلۡ
bal
Nay
أَنتُم
antum
you
بِهَدِيَّتِكُمۡ
bihadiyyatikum
in your gift
تَفۡرَحُونَ
tafrahuna
rejoice
٣٦
27:37
ٱرۡجِعۡ
ir'ji'
Return
إِلَيۡهِمۡ
ilayhim
to them
فَلَنَأۡتِيَنَّهُم
falanatiyannahum
surely we will come to them
بِجُنُودٖ
bijunudin
with hosts
لَّا
la
not
قِبَلَ
qibala
(is) resistance
لَهُم
lahum
for them
بِهَا
biha
of it
وَلَنُخۡرِجَنَّهُم
walanukh'rijannahum
and surely we will drive them out
مِّنۡهَآ
min'ha
from there
أَذِلَّةٗ
adhillatan
(in) humiliation
وَهُمۡ
wahum
and they
صَٰغِرُونَ
saghiruna
(will be) abased
٣٧
27:38
قَالَ
qala
He said
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
yaayyuha
O
ٱلۡمَلَؤُاْ
al-mala-u
chiefs
أَيُّكُمۡ
ayyukum
Which of you
يَأۡتِينِي
yatini
will bring me
بِعَرۡشِهَا
bi'arshiha
her throne
قَبۡلَ
qabla
before
أَن
an
that
يَأۡتُونِي
yatuni
they come to me
مُسۡلِمِينَ
mus'limina
(in) submission
٣٨
27:39
قَالَ
qala
Said
عِفۡرِيتٞ
if'ritun
a strong one
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡجِنِّ
al-jini
the jinn
أَنَا۠
ana
I
ءَاتِيكَ
atika
will bring it to you
بِهِۦ
bihi
will bring it to you
قَبۡلَ
qabla
before
أَن
an
[that]
تَقُومَ
taquma
you rise
مِن
min
from
مَّقَامِكَۖ
maqamika
your place
وَإِنِّي
wa-inni
And indeed I am
عَلَيۡهِ
alayhi
for it
لَقَوِيٌّ
laqawiyyun
surely strong
أَمِينٞ
aminun
trustworthy
٣٩
27:40
قَالَ
qala
Said
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
one who
عِندَهُۥ
indahu
with him
عِلۡمٞ
il'mun
(was) knowledge
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
al-kitabi
the Scripture
أَنَا۠
ana
I
ءَاتِيكَ
atika
will bring it to you
بِهِۦ
bihi
will bring it to you
قَبۡلَ
qabla
before
أَن
an
[that]
يَرۡتَدَّ
yartadda
returns
إِلَيۡكَ
ilayka
to you
طَرۡفُكَۚ
tarfuka
your glance
فَلَمَّا
falamma
Then when
رَءَاهُ
raahu
he saw it
مُسۡتَقِرًّا
mus'taqirran
placed
عِندَهُۥ
indahu
before him
قَالَ
qala
he said
هَٰذَا
hadha
This
مِن
min
(is) from
فَضۡلِ
fadli
(the) Favor
رَبِّي
rabbi
(of) my Lord
لِيَبۡلُوَنِيٓ
liyabluwani
to test me
ءَأَشۡكُرُ
a-ashkuru
whether I am grateful
أَمۡ
am
or
أَكۡفُرُۖ
akfuru
I am ungrateful
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
شَكَرَ
shakara
(is) grateful
فَإِنَّمَا
fa-innama
then only
يَشۡكُرُ
yashkuru
he is grateful
لِنَفۡسِهِۦۖ
linafsihi
for his own soul
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
كَفَرَ
kafara
(is) ungrateful
فَإِنَّ
fa-inna
then indeed
رَبِّي
rabbi
my Lord
غَنِيّٞ
ghaniyyun
(is) Self-sufficient
كَرِيمٞ
karimun
Noble
٤٠
27:41
قَالَ
qala
He said
نَكِّرُواْ
nakkiru
Disguise
لَهَا
laha
for her
عَرۡشَهَا
arshaha
her throne
نَنظُرۡ
nanzur
we will see
أَتَهۡتَدِيٓ
atahtadi
whether she will be guided
أَمۡ
am
or
تَكُونُ
takunu
will be
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
لَا
la
are not guided
يَهۡتَدُونَ
yahtaduna
are not guided
٤١
27:42
فَلَمَّا
falamma
So when
جَآءَتۡ
jaat
she came
قِيلَ
qila
it was said
أَهَٰكَذَا
ahakadha
Is like this
عَرۡشُكِۖ
arshuki
your throne
قَالَتۡ
qalat
She said
كَأَنَّهُۥ
ka-annahu
It is like
هُوَۚ
huwa
it
وَأُوتِينَا
wautina
And we were given
ٱلۡعِلۡمَ
al-'il'ma
the knowledge
مِن
min
before her
قَبۡلِهَا
qabliha
before her
وَكُنَّا
wakunna
and we have been
مُسۡلِمِينَ
mus'limina
Muslims
٤٢
27:43
وَصَدَّهَا
wasaddaha
And has averted her
مَا
ma
what
كَانَت
kanat
she used (to)
تَّعۡبُدُ
ta'budu
worship
مِن
min
besides
دُونِ
duni
besides
ٱللَّهِۖ
al-lahi
Allah
إِنَّهَا
innaha
Indeed she
كَانَتۡ
kanat
was
مِن
min
from
قَوۡمٖ
qawmin
a people
كَٰفِرِينَ
kafirina
who disbelieve
٤٣
27:44
قِيلَ
qila
It was said
لَهَا
laha
to her
ٱدۡخُلِي
ud'khuli
Enter
ٱلصَّرۡحَۖ
al-sarha
the palace
فَلَمَّا
falamma
Then when
رَأَتۡهُ
ra-athu
she saw it
حَسِبَتۡهُ
hasibathu
she thought it
لُجَّةٗ
lujjatan
(was) a pool
وَكَشَفَتۡ
wakashafat
and she uncovered
عَن
an
[on]
سَاقَيۡهَاۚ
saqayha
her shins
قَالَ
qala
He said
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed it
صَرۡحٞ
sarhun
(is) a palace
مُّمَرَّدٞ
mumarradun
made smooth
مِّن
min
of
قَوَارِيرَۗ
qawarira
glass
قَالَتۡ
qalat
She said
رَبِّ
rabbi
My Lord
إِنِّي
inni
indeed I
ظَلَمۡتُ
zalamtu
[I] have wronged
نَفۡسِي
nafsi
myself
وَأَسۡلَمۡتُ
wa-aslamtu
and I submit
مَعَ
ma'a
with
سُلَيۡمَٰنَ
sulaymana
Sulaiman
لِلَّهِ
lillahi
to Allah
رَبِّ
rabbi
(the) Lord
ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
al-'alamina
(of) the worlds
٤٤
