وَإِذَا
Wa-ʹiẓaa
And when
بَلَغَ
balag̣al
reach
ٱلۡأَطۡفَٰلُ
ʹaṭfaalu
the children
مِنكُمُ
miñkumul
among you
ٱلۡحُلُمَ
ḥu-lu-ma
the puberty
فَلۡيَسۡتَـٔۡذِنُواْ
fal-yastaʹẓinoo
then let them ask permission
كَمَا
kamas
as
ٱسۡتَـٔۡذَنَ
taʹẓanal
asked permission
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
مِن
miñ
(were) before them
قَبۡلِهِمۡۚ
q̣ablihim;
(were) before them
كَذَٰلِكَ
kaẓaalika
Thus
يُبَيِّنُ
yubayyinul
Allah makes clear
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah makes clear
لَكُمۡ
lakum
for you
ءَايَٰتِهِۦۗ
ʹAayaatih:
His Verses
وَٱللَّهُ
wallaahu
And Allah
عَلِيمٌ
ʻAleemun
(is) All-Knower
حَكِيمٞ
Ḥakeem.
All-Wise
٥٩
24:60
وَٱلۡقَوَٰعِدُ
Walq̣awaaʻidu
And postmenopausal
مِنَ
minan
among
ٱلنِّسَآءِ
nisaaaʹil
the women
ٱلَّٰتِي
laatee
who
لَا
laa-
(do) not
يَرۡجُونَ
yarjoona
have desire
نِكَاحٗا
nikaahañ
(for) marriage
فَلَيۡسَ
falaysa
then not is
عَلَيۡهِنَّ
ʻalayhinna
on them
جُنَاحٌ
junaaḥun
any blame
أَن
ʹañy
that
يَضَعۡنَ
yaḍaʻna
they put aside
ثِيَابَهُنَّ
s̤iyaabahunna
their (outer) garments
غَيۡرَ
g̣ayra
not
مُتَبَرِّجَٰتِۭ
mutabarrijaatim
displaying
بِزِينَةٖۖ
bizeenah:
their adornment
وَأَن
wa-ʹañy
And that
يَسۡتَعۡفِفۡنَ
yastaʻfifna
they modestly refrain
خَيۡرٞ
khayrul
(is) better
لَّهُنَّۗ
lahunn:
for them
وَٱللَّهُ
wallaahu
And Allah
سَمِيعٌ
Sameeʻun
(is) All-Hearer
عَلِيمٞ
ʻAleem.
All-Knower

24:61
لَّيۡسَ
Laysa
Not is
عَلَى
ʻalal
on
ٱلۡأَعۡمَىٰ
ʹaʻmaa
the blind
حَرَجٞ
ḥarajuñw
any blame
وَلَا
walaa
and not
عَلَى
ʻalal
on
ٱلۡأَعۡرَجِ
ʹaʻraji
the lame
حَرَجٞ
ḥarajuñw
any blame
وَلَا
walaa
and not
عَلَى
ʻalal
on
ٱلۡمَرِيضِ
mareeḍi
the sick
حَرَجٞ
ḥarajuñw
any blame
وَلَا
walaa
and not
عَلَىٰٓ
ʻalaaa
on
أَنفُسِكُمۡ
ʹañfusikum
yourselves
أَن
ʹañ
that
تَأۡكُلُواْ
taʹkuloo
you eat
مِنۢ
mim
from
بُيُوتِكُمۡ
buyootikum
your houses
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
بُيُوتِ
buyooti
houses
ءَابَآئِكُمۡ
ʹaabaaaʹikum
(of) your fathers
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
بُيُوتِ
buyooti
houses
أُمَّهَٰتِكُمۡ
ʹummahaatikum
(of) your mothers
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
بُيُوتِ
buyooti
houses
إِخۡوَٰنِكُمۡ
ʹikhwaanikum
(of) your brothers
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
بُيُوتِ
buyooti
houses
أَخَوَٰتِكُمۡ
ʹakhawaatikum
(of) your sisters
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
بُيُوتِ
buyooti
houses
أَعۡمَٰمِكُمۡ
ʹaʻmaamikum
(of) your paternal uncles
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
بُيُوتِ
buyooti
houses
عَمَّٰتِكُمۡ
ʻammaatikum
(of) your paternal aunts
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
بُيُوتِ
buyooti
houses
أَخۡوَٰلِكُمۡ
ʹakhwaalikum
(of) your maternal uncles
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
بُيُوتِ
buyooti
houses
خَٰلَٰتِكُمۡ
khaalaatikum
(of) your maternal aunts
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
مَا
maa-
what
مَلَكۡتُم
malaktum
you possess
مَّفَاتِحَهُۥٓ
mafaatiḥahooo
its keys
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
صَدِيقِكُمۡۚ
ṣadeeq̣ikum:
your friend
لَيۡسَ
laysa
Not is
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʻalaykum
on you
جُنَاحٌ
junaaḥun
any blame
أَن
ʹañ
that
تَأۡكُلُواْ
taʹkuloo
you eat
جَمِيعًا
jameeʻan
together
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
أَشۡتَاتٗاۚ
ʹashtaataa.
separately
فَإِذَا
Faʹiẓaa
But when
دَخَلۡتُم
dakhaltum̃
you enter
بُيُوتٗا
buyootañ
houses
فَسَلِّمُواْ
fasallimoo
then greet
عَلَىٰٓ
ʻalaaa
[on]
أَنفُسِكُمۡ
ʹañfusikum
yourselves
تَحِيَّةٗ
taḥiyyatam
a greeting
مِّنۡ
min
from
عِندِ
ʻiñdil
from
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
مُبَٰرَكَةٗ
mubaarakatañ
blessed
طَيِّبَةٗۚ
ṭayyibah.
(and) good
كَذَٰلِكَ
Kaẓaalika
Thus
يُبَيِّنُ
yubayyinul
Allah makes clear
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah makes clear
لَكُمُ
lakumul
for you
ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ
ʹAayati
the Verses
لَعَلَّكُمۡ
laʻallakum
so that you may
تَعۡقِلُونَ
taʻq̣iloon.
understand
