nay
هُوَ
huwa
it
خَيۡرٞ

(is) good
لَّكُمۡۚ
lakum:
for you
لِكُلِّ
likullim
For every
ٱمۡرِيٕٖ
riʹim
person
مِّنۡهُم
minhum
among them
مَّا
mak
(is) what
ٱكۡتَسَبَ
tasaba
he earned
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡإِثۡمِۚ
ʹis̤m,
the sin
وَٱلَّذِي
wallaẓee
and the one who
تَوَلَّىٰ
tawallaa
took upon himself a greater share of it
كِبۡرَهُۥ
kibrahoo
took upon himself a greater share of it
مِنۡهُمۡ
minhum
among them
لَهُۥ
lahoo
for him
عَذَابٌ
ʻAẓaabun
(is) a punishment
عَظِيمٞ
ʻaz̤̣eem.
great

24:12
لَّوۡلَآ
Law-laaa
Why not
إِذۡ
ʹiẓ
when
سَمِعۡتُمُوهُ
samiʻtumoohu
you heard it
ظَنَّ
z̤̣annal
think
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ
Muʹminoona
the believing men
وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَٰتُ
wal-Muʹminaatu
and the believing women
بِأَنفُسِهِمۡ
biʹañfusihim
good of themselves
خَيۡرٗا
khayrañw
good of themselves
وَقَالُواْ
waq̣aaloo
and say
هَٰذَآ
haaẓaaa
This
إِفۡكٞ
ʹifkum
(is) a lie
مُّبِينٞ
mubeen?
clear
١٢
24:13
لَّوۡلَا
Law-laa
Why (did) not
جَآءُو
jaaaʹoo
they bring
عَلَيۡهِ
ʻalayhi
for it
بِأَرۡبَعَةِ
biʹarbaʻati
four
شُهَدَآءَۚ
shuhadaaaʹ?
witnesses
فَإِذۡ
Faʹiẓ
Then when
لَمۡ
lam
not
يَأۡتُواْ
yaʹtoo
they brought
بِٱلشُّهَدَآءِ
bishshuhadaaaʹi
the witnesses
فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
faʹulaaaʹika
then those
عِندَ
ʻiñdal
near Allah
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
near Allah
هُمُ
humul
they
ٱلۡكَٰذِبُونَ
kaaẓiboon!
(are) the liars
١٣
24:14
وَلَوۡلَا
Wa-lawlaa
And if not
فَضۡلُ
faḍlul
(for the) Grace
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʻalaykum
upon you
وَرَحۡمَتُهُۥ
wa-raḥmatuhoo
and His Mercy
فِي
fiddunyaa
in
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
wal
the world
وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
ʹAakhirati
and the Hereafter
لَمَسَّكُمۡ
lamassakum
surely would have touched you
فِي
fee
in
مَآ
maaa
what
أَفَضۡتُمۡ
ʹafaḍtum
you had rushed glibly
فِيهِ
feehi
concerning it
عَذَابٌ
ʻaẓaabun
a punishment
عَظِيمٌ
ʹaz̤̣eem.
great
١٤
24:15
إِذۡ
ʹIẓ
When
تَلَقَّوۡنَهُۥ
talaq̣q̣awnahoo
you received it
بِأَلۡسِنَتِكُمۡ
biʹalsinatikum
with your tongues
وَتَقُولُونَ
wa-taq̣ooloona
and you said
بِأَفۡوَاهِكُم
biʹafwaahikum
with your mouths
مَّا
maa
what
لَيۡسَ
laysa
not
لَكُم
lakum̃
for you
بِهِۦ
bihee
of it
عِلۡمٞ
ʻilmuñw
any knowledge
وَتَحۡسَبُونَهُۥ
Wataḥsaboonahoo
and you thought it
هَيِّنٗا
hayyinañw
(was) insignificant
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
while it
عِندَ
ʻiñdal
(was) near Allah
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(was) near Allah
عَظِيمٞ
ʻaz̤̣eem.
great
١٥
24:16
وَلَوۡلَآ
Wa-lawlaaa
And why not
إِذۡ
ʹiẓ
when
سَمِعۡتُمُوهُ
samiʻtumoohu
you heard it
قُلۡتُم
q̣ultum
you said
مَّا
maa
Not
يَكُونُ
yakoonu
it is
لَنَآ
lanaaa
for us
أَن
ʹan
that
نَّتَكَلَّمَ
natakallama
we speak
بِهَٰذَا
bihaaẓaa:
of this
سُبۡحَٰنَكَ
Subḥaanaka
Glory be to You
هَٰذَا
haaẓaa
This
بُهۡتَٰنٌ
buhtaanun
(is) a slander
عَظِيمٞ
ʻaz̤̣eem!
great
١٦
24:17
يَعِظُكُمُ
Yaʻiz̤̣ukumul
Allah warns you
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah warns you
أَن
ʹañ
that
تَعُودُواْ
taʻoodoo
you return
لِمِثۡلِهِۦٓ
limis̤liheee
(to the) like of it
أَبَدًا
ʹabadan
ever
إِن
ʹiñ
if
كُنتُم
kuñtum
you are
مُّؤۡمِنِينَ
Muʹmineen.
believers
١٧
24:18
وَيُبَيِّنُ
Wa-yubayyinul
And Allah makes clear
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
And Allah makes clear
لَكُمُ
lakumul
to you
ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِۚ
ʹAayaat:
the Verses
وَٱللَّهُ
wallaahu
And Allah
عَلِيمٌ
ʻAleemun
(is) All-Knower
حَكِيمٌ
Ḥakeem.
All-Wise
١٨
24:19
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
يُحِبُّونَ
yuḥibboona
like
أَن
ʹañ
that
تَشِيعَ
tasheeʻal
(should) spread
ٱلۡفَٰحِشَةُ
faaḥishatu
the immorality
فِي
fil
among
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believe
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
عَذَابٌ
ʻaẓaabun
(is) a punishment
أَلِيمٞ
ʹaleemuñ
painful
فِي
fid
in
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
dunyaa
the world
وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةِۚ
wal-ʹAakhirah:
and the Hereafter
وَٱللَّهُ
wallaahu
And Allah
يَعۡلَمُ
yaʻlamu
knows
وَأَنتُمۡ
waʹañtum
while you
لَا
laa-
(do) not
تَعۡلَمُونَ
taʻlamoon.
know
١٩
24:20
وَلَوۡلَا
Wa-lawlaa
And if not
فَضۡلُ
faḍlul
(for the) Grace of Allah
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(for the) Grace of Allah
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʻalaykum
upon you
وَرَحۡمَتُهُۥ
wa-raḥmatuhoo
and His Mercy
وَأَنَّ
wa-ʹannal
And that
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
رَءُوفٞ
Raʹoofur
(is) Full of Kindness
رَّحِيمٞ
Raḥeem.
Most Merciful
