وَٱصۡبِرۡ
Waṣbir
And be patient
نَفۡسَكَ
nafsaka
yourself
مَعَ
maʻal
with
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
يَدۡعُونَ
yadʻoona
call
رَبَّهُم
Rabbahum̃
their Lord
بِٱلۡغَدَوٰةِ
bilg̣adaati
in the morning
وَٱلۡعَشِيِّ
walʻashiyyi
and the evening
يُرِيدُونَ
yureedoona
desiring
وَجۡهَهُۥۖ
Wajhahoo
His Face
وَلَا
wa-laa
And (let) not
تَعۡدُ
taʻdu
pass beyond
عَيۡنَاكَ
ʻaynaaka
your eyes
عَنۡهُمۡ
ʻanhum:
over them
تُرِيدُ
tureedu
desiring
زِينَةَ
zeenatal
adornment
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ
Ḥayaatid
(of) the life
ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ
dunyaa;
(of) the world
وَلَا
wa-laa
and (do) not
تُطِعۡ
tuṭiʻ
obey
مَنۡ
man
whom
أَغۡفَلۡنَا
ʹag̣falnaa
We have made heedless
قَلۡبَهُۥ
q̣albahoo
his heart
عَن
ʻañ
of
ذِكۡرِنَا
ẓikrinaa
Our remembrance
وَٱتَّبَعَ
wattabaʻa
and follows
هَوَىٰهُ
hawaahu
his desires
وَكَانَ
wa-kaana
and is
أَمۡرُهُۥ
ʹamruhoo
his affair
فُرُطٗا
furuṭaa.
(in) excess
٢٨
18:29
وَقُلِ
Wa-q̣ulil
And say
ٱلۡحَقُّ
Ḥaq̣q̣u
The truth
مِن
mir
(is) from
رَّبِّكُمۡۖ
Rabbikum:
your Lord
فَمَن
famañ
so whoever
شَآءَ
shaaaʹa
wills
فَلۡيُؤۡمِن
falyuʹmiñw
let him believe
وَمَن
wamañ
and whoever
شَآءَ
shaaaʹa
wills
فَلۡيَكۡفُرۡۚ
falyakfur:
let him disbelieve
إِنَّآ
ʹinnaaa
Indeed We
أَعۡتَدۡنَا
ʹaʻtadnaa
have prepared
لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ
liz̤̣z̤̣aalimeena
for the wrongdoers
نَارًا
Naaran
a Fire
أَحَاطَ
ʹaḥaaṭa
will surround
بِهِمۡ
bihim
them
سُرَادِقُهَاۚ
suraadiq̣uhaa:
its walls
وَإِن
wa-ʹiñy
And if
يَسۡتَغِيثُواْ
yastag̣ees̤oo
they call for relief
يُغَاثُواْ
yug̣aas̤oo
they will be relieved
بِمَآءٖ
bimaaaʹiñ
with water
كَٱلۡمُهۡلِ
kalmuhli
like molten brass
يَشۡوِي
yashwil
(which) scalds
ٱلۡوُجُوهَۚ
wujooh.
the faces
بِئۡسَ
Biʹsash
Wretched
ٱلشَّرَابُ
sharaab!
(is) the drink
وَسَآءَتۡ
wa-saaaʹat
and evil
مُرۡتَفَقًا
murtafaq̣aa!
(is) the resting place
٢٩
18:30
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believed
وَعَمِلُواْ
wa-ʻamiluṣ
and did
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
ṣaaliḥaati
the good deeds
إِنَّا
ʹinnaa
indeed We
لَا
laa-
will not let go waste
نُضِيعُ
nuḍeeʻu
will not let go waste
أَجۡرَ
ʹajra
(the) reward
مَنۡ
man
(of one) who
أَحۡسَنَ
ʹaḥsana
does good
عَمَلًا
ʻamalaa.
deeds
٣٠
18:31
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ʹUlaaaʹika
Those
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
جَنَّٰتُ
Jannaatu
(are) Gardens
عَدۡنٖ
ʻAdniñ
of Eden
تَجۡرِي
tajree
flows
مِن
miñ
from
تَحۡتِهِمُ
taḥtihimul
underneath them
ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ
ʹanhaaru
the rivers
يُحَلَّوۡنَ
yuḥallawna
They will be adorned
فِيهَا
feehaa
therein
مِنۡ
min
[of] (with)
أَسَاوِرَ
ʹasaawira
bracelets
مِن
miñ
of
ذَهَبٖ
ẓahabiñw
gold
وَيَلۡبَسُونَ
wayalbasoona
and will wear
ثِيَابًا
s̤iyaaban
garments
خُضۡرٗا
khuḍram
green
مِّن
miñ
of
سُندُسٖ
suñdusiñw
fine silk
وَإِسۡتَبۡرَقٖ
waʹistabraq̣im
and heavy brocade
مُّتَّكِـِٔينَ
muttakiʹeena
reclining
فِيهَا
feehaa
therein
عَلَى
ʻalal
on
ٱلۡأَرَآئِكِۚ
ʹaraaaʹik.
adorned couches
نِعۡمَ
Niʻmas̤
Excellent
ٱلثَّوَابُ
s̤awaab!
(is) the reward
وَحَسُنَتۡ
Waḥasunat
and good
مُرۡتَفَقٗا
murtafaq̣aa!
(is) the resting place
٣١
18:32
۞وَٱضۡرِبۡ
Waḍrib
And set forth
لَهُم
lahum
to them
مَّثَلٗا
mas̤alar
the example
رَّجُلَيۡنِ
rajulayni
of two men:
جَعَلۡنَا
jaʻalnaa
We provided
لِأَحَدِهِمَا
liʹaḥadihimaa
for one of them
جَنَّتَيۡنِ
jannatayni
two gardens
مِنۡ
min
of
أَعۡنَٰبٖ
ʹaʻnaabiñw
grapes
وَحَفَفۡنَٰهُمَا
Waḥafafnaahumaa
and We bordered them
بِنَخۡلٖ
binakhliñw
with date-palms
وَجَعَلۡنَا
wajaʻalnaa
and We placed
بَيۡنَهُمَا
baynahumaa
between both of them
زَرۡعٗا
zarʻaa.
crops

18:33
كِلۡتَا
Kiltal
Each
ٱلۡجَنَّتَيۡنِ
jannatayni
(of) the two gardens
ءَاتَتۡ
ʹaatat
brought forth
أُكُلَهَا
ʹukulahaa
its produce
وَلَمۡ
wa-lam
and not
تَظۡلِم
taz̤̣lim
did wrong
مِّنۡهُ
minhu
of it
شَيۡـٔٗاۚ
shayʹañw
anything
وَفَجَّرۡنَا
wafajjarnaa
And We caused to gush forth
خِلَٰلَهُمَا
khi-laalahumaa
within them
نَهَرٗا
naharaa,
a river
٣٣
18:34
وَكَانَ
Wa-kaana
And was
لَهُۥ
lahoo
for him
ثَمَرٞ
s̤amar:
fruit
فَقَالَ
faq̣aala
so he said
لِصَٰحِبِهِۦ
liṣaaḥibihee
to his companion
وَهُوَ
wa-huwa
while he
يُحَاوِرُهُۥٓ
yuḥaawiruhooo
(was) talking with him
أَنَا۠
ʹana
I am
أَكۡثَرُ
ʹaks̤aru
greater
مِنكَ
miñka
than you
مَالٗا
maalañw
(in) wealth
وَأَعَزُّ
waʹaʻazzu
and stronger
نَفَرٗا
nafaraa.
(in) men
٣٤
