17:87إِلَّاillaExceptرَحۡمَةٗrahmatana mercyمِّنminfromرَّبِّكَۚrabbikayour LordإِنَّinnaIndeedفَضۡلَهُۥfadlahuHis Bountyكَانَkanaisعَلَيۡكَalaykaupon youكَبِيرٗاkabirangreat٨٧
17:88قُلqulSayلَّئِنِla-iniIfٱجۡتَمَعَتِij'tama'atigatheredٱلۡإِنسُal-insuthe mankindوَٱلۡجِنُّwal-jinuand the jinnعَلَىٰٓalatoأَنan[that]يَأۡتُواْyatubringبِمِثۡلِbimith'lithe likeهَٰذَاhadha(of) thisٱلۡقُرۡءَانِal-qur'aniQuranلَاlanotيَأۡتُونَyatunathey (could) bringبِمِثۡلِهِۦbimith'lihithe like of itوَلَوۡwalaweven ifكَانَkanawereبَعۡضُهُمۡba'duhumsome of themلِبَعۡضٖliba'dinto some othersظَهِيرٗاzahiranassistants٨٨
17:89وَلَقَدۡwalaqadAnd verilyصَرَّفۡنَاsarrafnaWe have explainedلِلنَّاسِlilnnasito mankindفِيfiinهَٰذَاhadhathisٱلۡقُرۡءَانِal-qur'aniQuranمِنminfromكُلِّkullieveryمَثَلٖmathalinexampleفَأَبَىٰٓfa-ababut refusedأَكۡثَرُaktharumostٱلنَّاسِal-nasi(of) the mankindإِلَّاillaexceptكُفُورٗاkufurandisbelief٨٩
17:90وَقَالُواْwaqaluAnd they sayلَنlanNeverنُّؤۡمِنَnu'minawe will believeلَكَlakain youحَتَّىٰhattauntilتَفۡجُرَtafjurayou cause to gush forthلَنَاlanafor usمِنَminafromٱلۡأَرۡضِal-ardithe earthيَنۢبُوعًاyanbu'ana spring٩٠
17:91أَوۡawOrتَكُونَtakunayou haveلَكَlakafor youجَنَّةٞjannatuna gardenمِّنminofنَّخِيلٖnakhilindate-palmsوَعِنَبٖwa'inabinand grapesفَتُفَجِّرَfatufajjiraand cause to gush forthٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرَal-anharathe riversخِلَٰلَهَاkhilalahawithin themتَفۡجِيرًاtafjiranabundantly٩١
17:92أَوۡawOrتُسۡقِطَtus'qitayou cause to fallٱلسَّمَآءَal-samaathe skyكَمَاkamaasزَعَمۡتَza'amtayou have claimedعَلَيۡنَاalaynaupon usكِسَفًاkisafan(in) piecesأَوۡaworتَأۡتِيَtatiyayou bringبِٱللَّهِbil-lahiAllahوَٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِwal-malaikatiand the Angelsقَبِيلًاqabilanbefore (us)٩٢
17:93أَوۡawOrيَكُونَyakunaisلَكَlakafor youبَيۡتٞbaytuna houseمِّنminofزُخۡرُفٍzukh'rufinornamentأَوۡaworتَرۡقَىٰtarqayou ascendفِيfiintoٱلسَّمَآءِal-samaithe skyوَلَنwalanAnd neverنُّؤۡمِنَnu'minawe will believeلِرُقِيِّكَliruqiyyikain your ascensionحَتَّىٰhattauntilتُنَزِّلَtunazzilayou bring downعَلَيۡنَاalaynato usكِتَٰبٗاkitabana bookنَّقۡرَؤُهُۥۗnaqra-uhuwe could read itقُلۡqulSayسُبۡحَانَsub'hanaGlorified (is)رَبِّيrabbimy LordهَلۡhalWhatكُنتُkuntuam Iإِلَّاillabutبَشَرٗاbasharana humanرَّسُولٗاrasulana Messenger٩٣
17:94وَمَاwamaAnd whatمَنَعَmana'apreventedٱلنَّاسَal-nasathe peopleأَنanthatيُؤۡمِنُوٓاْyu'minuthey believeإِذۡidhwhenجَآءَهُمُjaahumucame to themٱلۡهُدَىٰٓal-hudathe guidanceإِلَّآillaexceptأَنanthatقَالُوٓاْqaluthey saidأَبَعَثَaba'athaHas Allah sentٱللَّهُal-lahuHas Allah sentبَشَرٗاbasharana humanرَّسُولٗاrasulanMessenger٩٤
17:95قُلqulSayلَّوۡlawIfكَانَkana(there) wereفِيfiinٱلۡأَرۡضِal-ardithe earthمَلَٰٓئِكَةٞmalaikatunAngelsيَمۡشُونَyamshunawalkingمُطۡمَئِنِّينَmut'ma-inninasecurelyلَنَزَّلۡنَاlanazzalnasurely We (would) have sent downعَلَيۡهِمalayhimto themمِّنَminafromٱلسَّمَآءِal-samaithe heavenمَلَكٗاmalakanan Angelرَّسُولٗاrasulan(as) a Messenger٩٥
17:96قُلۡqulSayكَفَىٰkafaSufficient isبِٱللَّهِbil-lahiAllahشَهِيدَۢاshahidan(as) a witnessبَيۡنِيbaynibetween meوَبَيۡنَكُمۡۚwabaynakumand between youإِنَّهُۥinnahuIndeed Heكَانَkanaisبِعِبَادِهِۦbi'ibadihiof His slavesخَبِيرَۢاkhabiranAll-AwareبَصِيرٗاbasiranAll-Seer٩٦
