ٱلۡعَاجِلَةَ

the immediate
عَجَّلۡنَا

We hasten
لَهُۥ
lahoo
for him
فِيهَا
feehaa
in it
مَا
maa-
what
نَشَآءُ
nashaaaʹu
We will
لِمَن
liman
to whom
نُّرِيدُ
nureedu
We intend
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
Then
جَعَلۡنَا
jaʻalnaa
We have made
لَهُۥ
lahoo
for him
جَهَنَّمَ
Jahannam:
Hell
يَصۡلَىٰهَا
yaṣlaahaa
he will burn
مَذۡمُومٗا
maẓmoomam
disgraced
مَّدۡحُورٗا
madḥooraa.
rejected

17:19
وَمَنۡ
Wa-man
And whoever
أَرَادَ
ʹaraadal
desires
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةَ
ʹAakhirata
the Hereafter
وَسَعَىٰ
wa-saʻaa
and exerts
لَهَا
lahaa
for it
سَعۡيَهَا
saʻyahaa
the effort
وَهُوَ
wa-huwa
while he
مُؤۡمِنٞ
Muʹminuñ
(is) a believer
فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
faʹulaaaʹika
then those
كَانَ
kaana
[are]
سَعۡيُهُم
saʻyuhum
their effort
مَّشۡكُورٗا
mashkooraa.
(is) appreciated
١٩
17:20
كُلّٗا
kullan
(To) each
نُّمِدُّ
numiddu
We extend
هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
haaaʹulaaaʹi
(to) these
وَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
wa-haaaʹulaaaʹi
and (to) these
مِنۡ
min
from
عَطَآءِ
ʻaṭaaaʹi
(the) gift
رَبِّكَۚ
rabbik:
(of) your Lord
وَمَا
Wa-maa
And not
كَانَ
kaana
is
عَطَآءُ
ʻaṭaaaʹu
(the) gift
رَبِّكَ
Rabbika
(of) your Lord
مَحۡظُورًا
maḥz̤̣ooraa.
restricted

17:21
ٱنظُرۡ
ʹUñz̤̣ur
See
كَيۡفَ
kayfa
how
فَضَّلۡنَا
faḍḍalnaa
We preferred
بَعۡضَهُمۡ
baʻḍahum
some of them
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
over
بَعۡضٖۚ
baʻḍ:
others
وَلَلۡأٓخِرَةُ
wa-lalʹAakhiratu
And surely the Hereafter
أَكۡبَرُ
ʹakbaru
(is) greater
دَرَجَٰتٖ
darajaatiñw
(in) degrees
وَأَكۡبَرُ
waʹakbaru
and greater
تَفۡضِيلٗا
tafḍeelaa.
(in) excellence

17:22
لَّا
Laa-
(Do) not
تَجۡعَلۡ
tajʻal
make
مَعَ
maʻal
with
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
إِلَٰهًا
ʹilaahan
god
ءَاخَرَ
ʹaakhara
another
فَتَقۡعُدَ
fataq̣ʻuda
lest you will sit
مَذۡمُومٗا
maẓmoomam
disgraced
مَّخۡذُولٗا
makhẓoolaa.
forsaken
٢٢
17:23
۞وَقَضَىٰ
Wa-q̣aḍaa
And has decreed
رَبُّكَ
Rabbuka
your Lord
أَلَّا
ʹallaa
that (do) not
تَعۡبُدُوٓاْ
taʻbudooo
worship
إِلَّآ
ʹillaaa
except
إِيَّاهُ
ʹiyyaahu
Him Alone
وَبِٱلۡوَٰلِدَيۡنِ
wa-bilwaalidayni
and to the parents
إِحۡسَٰنًاۚ
ʹiḥsaanaa.
(be) good
إِمَّا
ʹImmaa
Whether
يَبۡلُغَنَّ
yablug̣anna
reach
عِندَكَ
ʻiñdakal
with you
ٱلۡكِبَرَ
kibara
the old age
أَحَدُهُمَآ
ʹaḥaduhumaaa
one of them
أَوۡ
aw
or
كِلَاهُمَا
kilaahumaa
both of them
فَلَا
falaa
then (do) not
تَقُل
taq̣ul
say
لَّهُمَآ
lahumaaa
to both of them
أُفّٖ
ʹuffiñw
a word of disrespect
وَلَا
Walaa
and (do) not
تَنۡهَرۡهُمَا
tanharhumaa
repel them
وَقُل
wa-q̣ul
but speak
لَّهُمَا
lahumaa
to them
قَوۡلٗا
q̣awlañ
a word
كَرِيمٗا
kareemaa.
noble

17:24
وَٱخۡفِضۡ
Wakhfiḍ
And lower
لَهُمَا
lahumaa
to them
جَنَاحَ
janaaḥaẓ
(the) wing
ٱلذُّلِّ
ẓulli
(of) humility
مِنَ
minar
(out) of
ٱلرَّحۡمَةِ
raḥmati
[the] mercy
وَقُل
wa-q̣ur
and say
رَّبِّ
Rabbir
My Lord
ٱرۡحَمۡهُمَا
ḥamhumaa
Have mercy on both of them
كَمَا
kamaa
as
رَبَّيَانِي
rabbayaani
they brought me up
صَغِيرٗا
ṣag̣eeraa.
(when I was) small
٢٤
17:25
رَّبُّكُمۡ
Rabbukum
Your Lord
أَعۡلَمُ
ʹaʻlamu
(is) most knowing
بِمَا
bimaa
of what
فِي
fee
(is) in
نُفُوسِكُمۡۚ
nufoosikum:
yourselves
إِن
ʹiñ
If
تَكُونُواْ
takoonoo
you are
صَٰلِحِينَ
ṣaaliḥeena
righteous
فَإِنَّهُۥ
faʹinnahoo
then indeed He
كَانَ
kaana
is
لِلۡأَوَّٰبِينَ
lil-ʹawwabeena
to those who often turn (to Him)
غَفُورٗا
G̣afooraa.
Most Forgiving
٢٥
17:26
وَءَاتِ
Wa-ʹaati
And give
ذَا
ẓal
the relatives
ٱلۡقُرۡبَىٰ
q̣urbaa
the relatives
حَقَّهُۥ
ḥaq̣q̣ahoo
his right
وَٱلۡمِسۡكِينَ
walmiskeena
and the needy
وَٱبۡنَ
wabnas
and the wayfarer
ٱلسَّبِيلِ
sabeeli
and the wayfarer
وَلَا
wa-laa
and (do) not
تُبَذِّرۡ
tubaẓẓir
spend
تَبۡذِيرًا
tabẓeeraa.
wastefully
٢٦
17:27
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱلۡمُبَذِّرِينَ
mubaẓẓireena
the spendthrifts
كَانُوٓاْ
kaanooo
are
إِخۡوَٰنَ
ʹikhwaanash
brothers
ٱلشَّيَٰطِينِۖ
shayaaṭeen;
(of) the devils
وَكَانَ
wa-kaanash
And is
ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ
Shayṭaanu
the Shaitaan
لِرَبِّهِۦ
li-Rabbihee
to his Lord
كَفُورٗا
kafooraa.
ungrateful
