17:1
سُبۡحَٰنَ
Subḥaanal
Exalted
ٱلَّذِيٓ
laẓeee
(is) the One Who
أَسۡرَىٰ
ʹasraa
took
بِعَبۡدِهِۦ
biʻAbdihee
His servant
لَيۡلٗا
laylam
(by) night
مِّنَ
minal
from
ٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ
Masjidil
Al-Masjid Al-Haraam
ٱلۡحَرَامِ
Ḥaraami
Al-Masjid Al-Haraam
إِلَى
ʹilal
to
ٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ
Masjidil
Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa
ٱلۡأَقۡصَا
ʹAq̣ṣal
Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
which
بَٰرَكۡنَا
baaraknaa
We blessed
حَوۡلَهُۥ
ḥaw-lahoo
its surroundings
لِنُرِيَهُۥ
linuriyahoo
that We may show him
مِنۡ
min
of
ءَايَٰتِنَآۚ
ʹAayaatinaa:
Our Signs
إِنَّهُۥ
ʹinnahoo
Indeed He
هُوَ
Huwas
He
ٱلسَّمِيعُ
Sameeʻul
(is) the All-Hearer
ٱلۡبَصِيرُ
Baṣeer.
the All-Seer

17:2
وَءَاتَيۡنَا
Wa-ʹaataynaa
And We gave
مُوسَى
Moosal
Musa
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
Kitaaba
the Book
وَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ
wa-jaʻalnaahu
and made it
هُدٗى
Hudal
a guidance
لِّبَنِيٓ
li-Baneee
for the Children
إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ
ʹIsraaaʹeela
(of) Israel
أَلَّا
ʹallaa
That not
تَتَّخِذُواْ
tat-takhiẓoo
you take
مِن
miñ
other than Me
دُونِي
doonee
other than Me
وَكِيلٗا
wakeelaa.
(as) a Disposer of affairs
٢
17:3
ذُرِّيَّةَ
Ẓurriyyata
Offsprings
مَنۡ
man
(of one) who
حَمَلۡنَا
ḥamalnaa
We carried
مَعَ
maʻa
with
نُوحٍۚ
Nooḥ!
Nuh
إِنَّهُۥ
ʹInnahoo
Indeed he
كَانَ
kaana
was
عَبۡدٗا
ʻabdañ
a servant
شَكُورٗا
shakooraa.
grateful
٣
17:4
وَقَضَيۡنَآ
Wa-q̣aḍaynaaa
And We decreed
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
for
بَنِيٓ
Baneee
(the) Children
إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ
ʹIsraaaʹeela
(of) Israel
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
kitaabi
the Book
لَتُفۡسِدُنَّ
latufsidunna
Surely you will cause corruption
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
the earth
مَرَّتَيۡنِ
marratayni
twice
وَلَتَعۡلُنَّ
wa-lataʻlunna
and surely you will reach
عُلُوّٗا
ʻuluwwañ
haughtiness
كَبِيرٗا
kabeeraa!
great
٤
17:5
فَإِذَا
Faʹiẓaa
So when
جَآءَ
jaaaʹa
came
وَعۡدُ
waʻdu
(the) promise
أُولَىٰهُمَا
ʹulaahumaa
(for) the first of the two
بَعَثۡنَا
baʻas̤naa
We raised
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʻalaykum
against you
عِبَادٗا
ʻibaadal
servants
لَّنَآ
lanaaa
of Ours
أُوْلِي
ʹulee
those of great military might
بَأۡسٖ
baʹsiñ
those of great military might
شَدِيدٖ
shadeediñ
those of great military might
فَجَاسُواْ
fajaasoo
and they entered
خِلَٰلَ
khilaalad
the inner most part
ٱلدِّيَارِۚ
diyaar;
(of) the homes
وَكَانَ
wa-kaana
and (it) was
وَعۡدٗا
waʻdam
a promise
مَّفۡعُولٗا
mafʻoolaa.
fulfilled
٥
17:6
ثُمَّ
S̤umma
Then
رَدَدۡنَا
radadnaa
We gave back
لَكُمُ
lakumul
to you
ٱلۡكَرَّةَ
karrata
the return victory
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
ʻalayhim
over them
وَأَمۡدَدۡنَٰكُم
wa-ʹamdadnaakum̃
And We reinforced you
بِأَمۡوَٰلٖ
biʹamwaaliñw
with the wealth
وَبَنِينَ
wabaneena
and sons
وَجَعَلۡنَٰكُمۡ
wa-jaʻalnaakum
and made you
أَكۡثَرَ
ʹaks̤ara
more
نَفِيرًا
nafeeraa.
numerous
٦
17:7
إِنۡ
ʹIn
If
أَحۡسَنتُمۡ
ʹaḥsañtum
you do good
أَحۡسَنتُمۡ
ʹaḥsañtum
you do good
لِأَنفُسِكُمۡۖ
liʹañfusikum;
for yourselves
وَإِنۡ
wa-in
and if
أَسَأۡتُمۡ
ʹasaʹtum
you do evil
فَلَهَاۚ
falahaa.
then it is for it
فَإِذَا
Faʹiẓaa
So when
جَآءَ
jaaaʹa
came
وَعۡدُ
waʻdul
promise
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
ʹaakhirati
the last
لِيَسُـُٔواْ
liyasoooʹu
to sadden
وُجُوهَكُمۡ
wujoohakum
your faces
وَلِيَدۡخُلُواْ
wa-liyadkhulul
and to enter
ٱلۡمَسۡجِدَ
Masjida
the Masjid
كَمَا
kamaa
just as
دَخَلُوهُ
dakhaloohu
they (had) entered it
أَوَّلَ
ʹawwala
first
مَرَّةٖ
marratiñw
time
وَلِيُتَبِّرُواْ
waliyutabbiroo
and to destroy
مَا
maa-
what
عَلَوۡاْ
ʻalaw
they had conquered
تَتۡبِيرًا
tatbeeraa.
(with) destruction
