ٱلسُّوٓءَ
soooʹa
evil
بِجَهَٰلَةٖ
bijahaalatiñ
in ignorance
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
تَابُواْ
taaboo
repented
مِنۢ
mim
after
بَعۡدِ
baʻdi
after
ذَٰلِكَ
ẓaalika
that
وَأَصۡلَحُوٓاْ
wa-ʹaṣlaḥooo
and corrected themselves
إِنَّ
ʹinna
indeed
رَبَّكَ
Rabbaka
your Lord
مِنۢ
mim
after that
بَعۡدِهَا
baʻdihaa
after that
لَغَفُورٞ
la-G̣afoorur
(is) surely Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٌ
Raḥeem.
Most Merciful
١١٩
16:120
إِنَّ
ʹInna
Indeed
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
ʹIbraaheema
Ibrahim
كَانَ
kaana
was
أُمَّةٗ
ʹummatañ
a nation
قَانِتٗا
q̣aanital
obedient
لِّلَّهِ
lillaahi
to Allah
حَنِيفٗا
ḥaneefaa:
upright
وَلَمۡ
wa-lam
and not
يَكُ
yaku
he was
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
mushrikeen:
the polytheists
١٢٠
16:121
شَاكِرٗا
Shaakiral
Thankful
لِّأَنۡعُمِهِۚ
liʹanʻumih:
for His favors
ٱجۡتَبَىٰهُ
ʹijtabaahu
He chose him
وَهَدَىٰهُ
wa-hadaahu
and guided him
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
صِرَٰطٖ
Ṣiraatim
the way
مُّسۡتَقِيمٖ
Mustaq̣eem.
straight
١٢١
16:122
وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُ
Wa-ʹaataynaahu
And We gave him
فِي
fid
in
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
dunyaa
the world
حَسَنَةٗۖ
Ḥasanah:
good
وَإِنَّهُۥ
wa-ʹinnahoo
and indeed he
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
ʹAakhirati
the Hereafter
لَمِنَ
laminaṣ
(he) will surely (be) among
ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
Ṣaaliḥeen.
the righteous
١٢٢
16:123
ثُمَّ
S̤umma
Then
أَوۡحَيۡنَآ
awḥaynaaa
We revealed
إِلَيۡكَ
ʹilayka
to you
أَنِ
ʹanit
that
ٱتَّبِعۡ
tabiʻ
You follow
مِلَّةَ
Millata
(the) religion
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
ʹIbraaheema
(of) Ibrahim
حَنِيفٗاۖ
Ḥaneefaa,
upright
وَمَا
wa-maa
and not
كَانَ
kaana
he was
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
mushrikeen.
the polytheists
١٢٣
16:124
إِنَّمَا
Innamaa
Only
جُعِلَ
juʻilas
was appointed
ٱلسَّبۡتُ
Sabtu
the Sabbath
عَلَى
ʻalal
for
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeenakh
those who
ٱخۡتَلَفُواْ
talafoo
differed
فِيهِۚ
feeh:
in it
وَإِنَّ
wa-ʹinna
And indeed
رَبَّكَ
Rabbaka
your Lord
لَيَحۡكُمُ
layaḥkumu
will surely judge
بَيۡنَهُمۡ
baynahum
between them
يَوۡمَ
Yawmal
(on) the Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
Q̣iyaamati
(of) the Resurrection
فِيمَا
feemaa
in what
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they used (to)
فِيهِ
feehi
[in it]
يَخۡتَلِفُونَ
yakhtalifoon.
differ
١٢٤
16:125
ٱدۡعُ
ʹUdʻu
Call
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
سَبِيلِ
sabeeli
(the) way
رَبِّكَ
Rabbika
(of) your Lord
بِٱلۡحِكۡمَةِ
bilḥikmati
with the wisdom
وَٱلۡمَوۡعِظَةِ
walmawʻiz̤̣atil
and the instruction
ٱلۡحَسَنَةِۖ
ḥasanati
the good
وَجَٰدِلۡهُم
wa-jaadilhum̃
and discuss with them
بِٱلَّتِي
billatee
in that
هِيَ
hiya
which
أَحۡسَنُۚ
ʹaḥsan:
(is) best
إِنَّ
ʹInna
Indeed
رَبَّكَ
Rabbaka
your Lord
هُوَ
Huwa
He
أَعۡلَمُ
ʹAʻlamu
(is) most knowing
بِمَن
bimañ
of who
ضَلَّ
ḍalla
has strayed
عَن
ʻañ
from
سَبِيلِهِۦ
Sabeelihee
His way
وَهُوَ
wa-Huwa
And He
أَعۡلَمُ
ʹaʻlamu
(is) most knowing
بِٱلۡمُهۡتَدِينَ
bil-Muhtadeen.
of the guided ones
١٢٥
16:126
وَإِنۡ
Wa-ʹin
And if
عَاقَبۡتُمۡ
ʻaaq̣abtum
you retaliate
فَعَاقِبُواْ
faʻaaq̣iboo
then retaliate
بِمِثۡلِ
bimis̤li
with the like
مَا
maa-
of what
عُوقِبۡتُم
ʻooq̣ibtum̃
you were afflicted
بِهِۦۖ
bih:
with [it]
وَلَئِن
wa-laʹiñ
But if
صَبَرۡتُمۡ
ṣabartum
you are patient
لَهُوَ
lahuwa
surely (it) is
خَيۡرٞ
khayrul
better
لِّلصَّٰبِرِينَ
liṣ-Ṣaabireen.
for those who are patient
١٢٦
16:127
وَٱصۡبِرۡ
Waṣbir
And be patient
وَمَا
wa-maa
and not
صَبۡرُكَ
ṣabruka
(is) your patience
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
but
بِٱللَّهِۚ
billaahi
from Allah
وَلَا
wa-laa
And (do) not
تَحۡزَنۡ
taḥzan
grieve
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
ʻalayhim
over them
وَلَا
wa-laa
and (do) not
تَكُ
taku
be
فِي
fee
in
ضَيۡقٖ
ḍayq̣im
distress
مِّمَّا
mimmaa
for what
يَمۡكُرُونَ
yamkuroon.
they plot
١٢٧
16:128
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
مَعَ
maʻal
(is) with
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeenat
those who
ٱتَّقَواْ
taq̣aw
fear (Him)
وَّٱلَّذِينَ
wal-laẓeena
and those who
هُم
hum
[they]
مُّحۡسِنُونَ
Muḥsinoon.
(are) good-doers
١٢٨
