زِدۡنَٰهُمۡ

We will increase them

(in) punishment
فَوۡقَ

ٱلۡعَذَابِ
al-'adhabi
punishment
بِمَا
bima
because
كَانُواْ
kanu
they used (to)
يُفۡسِدُونَ
yuf'siduna
spread corruption

16:89
وَيَوۡمَ
wayawma
And the Day
نَبۡعَثُ
nab'athu
We will resurrect
فِي
fi
among
كُلِّ
kulli
every
أُمَّةٖ
ummatin
nation
شَهِيدًا
shahidan
a witness
عَلَيۡهِم
alayhim
over them
مِّنۡ
min
from
أَنفُسِهِمۡۖ
anfusihim
themselves
وَجِئۡنَا
waji'na
And We (will) bring
بِكَ
bika
you
شَهِيدًا
shahidan
(as) a witness
عَلَىٰ
ala
over
هَٰٓؤُلَآءِۚ
haulai
these
وَنَزَّلۡنَا
wanazzalna
And We sent down
عَلَيۡكَ
alayka
to you
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
al-kitaba
the Book
تِبۡيَٰنٗا
tib'yanan
(as) a clarification
لِّكُلِّ
likulli
of every
شَيۡءٖ
shayin
thing
وَهُدٗى
wahudan
and a guidance
وَرَحۡمَةٗ
warahmatan
and mercy
وَبُشۡرَىٰ
wabush'ra
and glad tidings
لِلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ
lil'mus'limina
for the Muslims
٨٩
16:90
۞إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
يَأۡمُرُ
yamuru
commands
بِٱلۡعَدۡلِ
bil-'adli
justice
وَٱلۡإِحۡسَٰنِ
wal-ih'sani
and the good
وَإِيتَآيِٕ
waitai
and giving
ذِي
dhi
(to) relatives
ٱلۡقُرۡبَىٰ
al-qur'ba
(to) relatives
وَيَنۡهَىٰ
wayanha
and forbids
عَنِ
ani
[from]
ٱلۡفَحۡشَآءِ
al-fahshai
the immorality
وَٱلۡمُنكَرِ
wal-munkari
and the bad
وَٱلۡبَغۡيِۚ
wal-baghyi
and the oppression
يَعِظُكُمۡ
ya'izukum
He admonishes you
لَعَلَّكُمۡ
la'allakum
so that you may
تَذَكَّرُونَ
tadhakkaruna
take heed
٩٠
16:91
وَأَوۡفُواْ
wa-awfu
And fulfil
بِعَهۡدِ
bi'ahdi
the covenant
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
إِذَا
idha
when
عَٰهَدتُّمۡ
ahadttum
you have taken a covenant
وَلَا
wala
and (do) not
تَنقُضُواْ
tanqudu
break
ٱلۡأَيۡمَٰنَ
al-aymana
oaths
بَعۡدَ
ba'da
after
تَوۡكِيدِهَا
tawkidiha
their confirmation
وَقَدۡ
waqad
while verily
جَعَلۡتُمُ
ja'altumu
you have made
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
alaykum
over you
كَفِيلًاۚ
kafilan
a surety
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
يَعۡلَمُ
ya'lamu
knows
مَا
ma
what
تَفۡعَلُونَ
taf 'aluna
you do
٩١
16:92
وَلَا
wala
And (do) not
تَكُونُواْ
takunu
be
كَٱلَّتِي
ka-allati
like her who
نَقَضَتۡ
naqadat
untwists
غَزۡلَهَا
ghazlaha
her spun yarn
مِنۢ
min
after
بَعۡدِ
ba'di
after
قُوَّةٍ
quwwatin
strength
أَنكَٰثٗا
ankathan
(into) untwisted strands
تَتَّخِذُونَ
tattakhidhuna
you take
أَيۡمَٰنَكُمۡ
aymanakum
your oaths
دَخَلَۢا
dakhalan
(as) a deception
بَيۡنَكُمۡ
baynakum
between you
أَن
an
because
تَكُونَ
takuna
is
أُمَّةٌ
ummatun
a community
هِيَ
hiya
[it]
أَرۡبَىٰ
arba
more numerous
مِنۡ
min
than
أُمَّةٍۚ
ummatin
(another) community
إِنَّمَا
innama
Only
يَبۡلُوكُمُ
yablukumu
Allah tests you
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah tests you
بِهِۦۚ
bihi
by it
وَلَيُبَيِّنَنَّ
walayubayyinanna
And He will make clear
لَكُمۡ
lakum
to you
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(on) the Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
al-qiyamati
(of) the Resurrection
مَا
ma
what
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
you used (to)
فِيهِ
fihi
in it
تَخۡتَلِفُونَ
takhtalifuna
differ
٩٢
16:93
وَلَوۡ
walaw
And if
شَآءَ
shaa
Allah (had) willed
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah (had) willed
لَجَعَلَكُمۡ
laja'alakum
surely He (could) have made you
أُمَّةٗ
ummatan
a nation
وَٰحِدَةٗ
wahidatan
one
وَلَٰكِن
walakin
but
يُضِلُّ
yudillu
He lets go astray
مَن
man
whom
يَشَآءُ
yashau
He wills
وَيَهۡدِي
wayahdi
and guides
مَن
man
whom
يَشَآءُۚ
yashau
He wills
وَلَتُسۡـَٔلُنَّ
walatus'alunna
And surely you will be questioned
عَمَّا
amma
about what
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
you used (to)
تَعۡمَلُونَ
ta'maluna
do
