وَلَا
wala
And (do) not
تَقُولُواْ
taqulu
say
لِمَن
liman
for (the ones) who
يُقۡتَلُ
yuq'talu
are slain
فِي
fi
in
سَبِيلِ
sabili
(the) way
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
أَمۡوَٰتُۢۚ
amwatun
(They are) dead
بَلۡ
bal
Nay
أَحۡيَآءٞ
ahyaon
(they are) alive
وَلَٰكِن
walakin
[and] but
لَّا
la
you (do) not
تَشۡعُرُونَ
tash'uruna
perceive
١٥٤
2:155
وَلَنَبۡلُوَنَّكُم
walanabluwannakum
And surely We will test you
بِشَيۡءٖ
bishayin
with something
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡخَوۡفِ
al-khawfi
[the] fear
وَٱلۡجُوعِ
wal-ju'i
and [the] hunger
وَنَقۡصٖ
wanaqsin
and loss
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡأَمۡوَٰلِ
al-amwali
[the] wealth
وَٱلۡأَنفُسِ
wal-anfusi
and [the] lives
وَٱلثَّمَرَٰتِۗ
wal-thamarati
and [the] fruits
وَبَشِّرِ
wabashiri
but give good news
ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ
al-sabirina
(to) the patient ones
١٥٥
2:156
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
Those who
إِذَآ
idha
when
أَصَٰبَتۡهُم
asabathum
strikes them
مُّصِيبَةٞ
musibatun
a misfortune
قَالُوٓاْ
qalu
they say
إِنَّا
inna
Indeed we
لِلَّهِ
lillahi
belong to Allah
وَإِنَّآ
wa-inna
and indeed we
إِلَيۡهِ
ilayhi
towards Him
رَٰجِعُونَ
raji'una
will return
١٥٦
2:157
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ulaika
Those
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
alayhim
on them
صَلَوَٰتٞ
salawatun
(are) blessings
مِّن
min
from
رَّبِّهِمۡ
rabbihim
their Lord
وَرَحۡمَةٞۖ
warahmatun
and Mercy
وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
wa-ulaika
And those
هُمُ
humu
[they]
ٱلۡمُهۡتَدُونَ
al-muh'taduna
(are) the guided ones
١٥٧
2:158
۞إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلصَّفَا
al-safa
the Safa
وَٱلۡمَرۡوَةَ
wal-marwata
and the Marwah
مِن
min
(are) from
شَعَآئِرِ
sha'airi
(the) symbols
ٱللَّهِۖ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
فَمَنۡ
faman
So whoever
حَجَّ
hajja
performs Hajj
ٱلۡبَيۡتَ
al-bayta
(of) the House
أَوِ
awi
or
ٱعۡتَمَرَ
i'tamara
performs Umrah
فَلَا
fala
so no
جُنَاحَ
junaha
blame
عَلَيۡهِ
alayhi
on him
أَن
an
that
يَطَّوَّفَ
yattawwafa
he walks
بِهِمَاۚ
bihima
between [both of] them
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
تَطَوَّعَ
tatawwa'a
voluntarily does
خَيۡرٗا
khayran
good
فَإِنَّ
fa-inna
then indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
شَاكِرٌ
shakirun
(is) All-Appreciative
عَلِيمٌ
alimun
All-Knowing
١٥٨
2:159
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
يَكۡتُمُونَ
yaktumuna
conceal
مَآ
ma
what
أَنزَلۡنَا
anzalna
We revealed
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ
al-bayinati
the clear proofs
وَٱلۡهُدَىٰ
wal-huda
and the Guidance
مِنۢ
min
from
بَعۡدِ
ba'di
after
مَا
ma
[what]
بَيَّنَّٰهُ
bayyannahu
We made clear
لِلنَّاسِ
lilnnasi
to the people
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
al-kitabi
the Book
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ulaika
those
يَلۡعَنُهُمُ
yal'anuhumu
curses them
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
وَيَلۡعَنُهُمُ
wayal'anuhumu
and curse them
ٱللَّٰعِنُونَ
al-la'inuna
the ones who curse
١٥٩
2:160
إِلَّا
illa
Except
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those
تَابُواْ
tabu
who repent[ed]
وَأَصۡلَحُواْ
wa-aslahu
and reform[ed]
وَبَيَّنُواْ
wabayyanu
and openly declar[ed]
فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
fa-ulaika
Then those
أَتُوبُ
atubu
I will accept repentance
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
alayhim
from them
وَأَنَا
wa-ana
and I (am)
ٱلتَّوَّابُ
al-tawabu
the Acceptor of Repentance
ٱلرَّحِيمُ
al-rahimu
the Most Merciful
١٦٠
2:161
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaru
disbelieve[d]
وَمَاتُواْ
wamatu
and die[d]
وَهُمۡ
wahum
while they
كُفَّارٌ
kuffarun
(were) disbelievers
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ulaika
those
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
alayhim
on them
لَعۡنَةُ
la'natu
(is the) curse
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
وَٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ
wal-malaikati
and the Angels
وَٱلنَّاسِ
wal-nasi
and the mankind
أَجۡمَعِينَ
ajma'ina
all together
١٦١
2:162
خَٰلِدِينَ
khalidina
(Will) abide forever
فِيهَا
fiha
in it
لَا
la
Not
يُخَفَّفُ
yukhaffafu
will be lightened
عَنۡهُمُ
anhumu
for them
ٱلۡعَذَابُ
al-'adhabu
the punishment
وَلَا
wala
and not
هُمۡ
hum
they
يُنظَرُونَ
yunzaruna
will be reprieved
١٦٢
2:163
وَإِلَٰهُكُمۡ
wa-ilahukum
And your God
إِلَٰهٞ
ilahun
(is) God
وَٰحِدٞۖ
wahidun
one (only)
لَّآ
la
(there is) no
إِلَٰهَ
ilaha
god
إِلَّا
illa
except
هُوَ
huwa
Him
ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ
al-rahmanu
the Most Gracious
ٱلرَّحِيمُ
al-rahimu
the Most Merciful
١٦٣
