Go forth

light

or heavy

and strive

with your wealth

and your lives

in

(the) way

(of) Allah

That

(is) better

for you

if

you

know

If

it had been

a gain

near

and a journey

easy

surely they (would) have followed you

but

was long

for them

the distance

And they will swear

by Allah

If

we were able

certainly we (would) have come forth

with you

They destroy

their own selves

and Allah

knows

(that) indeed they

(are) surely liars

(May) Allah forgive

(May) Allah forgive

you

Why (did)

you grant leave

to them

until

(became) evident

to you

those who

were truthful

and you knew

the liars

(Would) not ask your permission

(Would) not ask your permission

those who

believe

in Allah

and the Day

the Last

that

they strive

with their wealth

and their lives

And Allah

(is) All-Knower

of the righteous

Only

ask your leave

those who

(do) not

believe

in Allah

and the Day

the Last

and (are in) doubts

their hearts

so they

in

their doubts

they waver

And if

they had wished

(to) go forth

surely they (would) have prepared

for it

(some) preparation

But

Allah disliked

Allah disliked

their being sent

so He made them lag behind

and it was said

Sit

with

those who sit

If

they (had) gone forth

with you

not

they (would) have increased you

except

(in) confusion

and would have been active

in your midst

seeking (for) you

dissension

And among you (are some)

who would have listened

to them

And Allah

(is) All-Knower

of the wrongdoers
