وَلَمَّا

And when
رَجَعَ

returned
مُوسَىٰٓ
musa
Musa
إِلَىٰ
ila
to
قَوۡمِهِۦ
qawmihi
his people
غَضۡبَٰنَ
ghadbana
angry
أَسِفٗا
asifan
and grieved
قَالَ
qala
he said
بِئۡسَمَا
bi'sama
Evil is what
خَلَفۡتُمُونِي
khalaftumuni
you have done in my place
مِنۢ
min
from
بَعۡدِيٓۖ
ba'di
after me
أَعَجِلۡتُمۡ
a'ajil'tum
Were you impatient
أَمۡرَ
amra
(over the) matter
رَبِّكُمۡۖ
rabbikum
(of) your Lord
وَأَلۡقَى
wa-alqa
And he cast down
ٱلۡأَلۡوَاحَ
al-alwaha
the tablets
وَأَخَذَ
wa-akhadha
and seized
بِرَأۡسِ
birasi
by head
أَخِيهِ
akhihi
his brother
يَجُرُّهُۥٓ
yajurruhu
dragging him
إِلَيۡهِۚ
ilayhi
to himself
قَالَ
qala
He said
ٱبۡنَ
ib'na
O son
أُمَّ
umma
(of) my mother
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلۡقَوۡمَ
al-qawma
the people
ٱسۡتَضۡعَفُونِي
is'tad'afuni
considered me weak
وَكَادُواْ
wakadu
and were about to
يَقۡتُلُونَنِي
yaqtulunani
kill me
فَلَا
fala
So (let) not
تُشۡمِتۡ
tush'mit
rejoice
بِيَ
biya
over me
ٱلۡأَعۡدَآءَ
al-a'daa
the enemies
وَلَا
wala
and (do) not
تَجۡعَلۡنِي
taj'alni
place me
مَعَ
ma'a
with
ٱلۡقَوۡمِ
al-qawmi
the people
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
al-zalimina
(who are) wrongdoing
١٥٠
7:151
قَالَ
qala
He said
رَبِّ
rabbi
O my Lord
ٱغۡفِرۡ
igh'fir
Forgive
لِي
li
me
وَلِأَخِي
wali-akhi
and my brother
وَأَدۡخِلۡنَا
wa-adkhil'na
and admit us
فِي
fi
into
رَحۡمَتِكَۖ
rahmatika
Your Mercy
وَأَنتَ
wa-anta
for You
أَرۡحَمُ
arhamu
(are) the Most Merciful
ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ
al-rahimina
(of) the merciful
١٥١
7:152
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
ٱتَّخَذُواْ
ittakhadhu
took
ٱلۡعِجۡلَ
al-'ij'la
the calf
سَيَنَالُهُمۡ
sayanaluhum
will reach them
غَضَبٞ
ghadabun
wrath
مِّن
min
from
رَّبِّهِمۡ
rabbihim
their Lord
وَذِلَّةٞ
wadhillatun
and humiliation
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ
al-hayati
the life
ٱلدُّنۡيَاۚ
al-dun'ya
(of) the world
وَكَذَٰلِكَ
wakadhalika
And thus
نَجۡزِي
najzi
We recompense
ٱلۡمُفۡتَرِينَ
al-muf'tarina
the ones who invent (falsehood)
١٥٢
7:153
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhina
And those who
عَمِلُواْ
amilu
do
ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ
al-sayiati
the evil deeds
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
تَابُواْ
tabu
repented
مِنۢ
min
from
بَعۡدِهَا
ba'diha
after that
وَءَامَنُوٓاْ
waamanu
and believed
إِنَّ
inna
indeed
رَبَّكَ
rabbaka
your Lord
مِنۢ
min
from
بَعۡدِهَا
ba'diha
after that
لَغَفُورٞ
laghafurun
(is) surely Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٞ
rahimun
Most Merciful
١٥٣
7:154
وَلَمَّا
walamma
And when
سَكَتَ
sakata
was calmed
عَن
an
from
مُّوسَى
musa
Musa
ٱلۡغَضَبُ
al-ghadabu
the anger
أَخَذَ
akhadha
he took (up)
ٱلۡأَلۡوَاحَۖ
al-alwaha
the tablets
وَفِي
wafi
and in
نُسۡخَتِهَا
nus'khatiha
their inscription
هُدٗى
hudan
(was) guidance
وَرَحۡمَةٞ
warahmatun
and mercy
لِّلَّذِينَ
lilladhina
for those who
هُمۡ
hum
[they]
لِرَبِّهِمۡ
lirabbihim
of their Lord
يَرۡهَبُونَ
yarhabuna
(are) fearful
١٥٤
7:155
وَٱخۡتَارَ
wa-ikh'tara
And chose
مُوسَىٰ
musa
Musa
قَوۡمَهُۥ
qawmahu
(from) his people
سَبۡعِينَ
sab'ina
seventy
رَجُلٗا
rajulan
men
لِّمِيقَٰتِنَاۖ
limiqatina
for Our appointment
فَلَمَّآ
falamma
Then when
أَخَذَتۡهُمُ
akhadhathumu
seized them
ٱلرَّجۡفَةُ
al-rajfatu
the earthquake
قَالَ
qala
he said
رَبِّ
rabbi
O my Lord
لَوۡ
law
If
شِئۡتَ
shi'ta
you (had) willed
أَهۡلَكۡتَهُم
ahlaktahum
You (could) have destroyed them
مِّن
min
from
قَبۡلُ
qablu
before
وَإِيَّٰيَۖ
wa-iyyaya
and me
أَتُهۡلِكُنَا
atuh'likuna
Would You destroy us
بِمَا
bima
for what
فَعَلَ
fa'ala
did
ٱلسُّفَهَآءُ
al-sufahau
the foolish
مِنَّآۖ
minna
among us
إِنۡ
in
Not
هِيَ
hiya
it (was)
إِلَّا
illa
but
فِتۡنَتُكَ
fit'natuka
Your trial
تُضِلُّ
tudillu
You let go astray
بِهَا
biha
by it
مَن
man
whom
تَشَآءُ
tashau
You will
وَتَهۡدِي
watahdi
and You guide
مَن
man
whom
تَشَآءُۖ
tashau
You will
أَنتَ
anta
You
وَلِيُّنَا
waliyyuna
(are) our Protector
فَٱغۡفِرۡ
fa-igh'fir
so forgive
لَنَا
lana
us
وَٱرۡحَمۡنَاۖ
wa-ir'hamna
and have mercy upon us
وَأَنتَ
wa-anta
and You
خَيۡرُ
khayru
(are) Best
ٱلۡغَٰفِرِينَ
al-ghafirina
(of) Forgivers
