Waẓkurooo
And remember
إِذۡ
ʹiẓ
when
جَعَلَكُمۡ
jaʻalakum
He made you
خُلَفَآءَ
khulafaaaʹa
successors
مِنۢ
mim
from
بَعۡدِ
baʻdi
after
عَادٖ
ʻAadiñw
Aad
وَبَوَّأَكُمۡ
Wabawwaʹakum
and settled you
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
the earth
تَتَّخِذُونَ
tatta-Khiẓoona
You take
مِن
miñ
from
سُهُولِهَا
suhoolihaa
its plains
قُصُورٗا
q̣uṣoorañw
palaces
وَتَنۡحِتُونَ
watanḥitoonal
and you carve out
ٱلۡجِبَالَ
jibaala
the mountains
بُيُوتٗاۖ
buyootaa.
(as) homes
فَٱذۡكُرُوٓاْ
Faẓkurooo
So remember
ءَالَآءَ
ʹaalaaaʹal
(the) Bounties
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
وَلَا
wa-laa
and (do) not
تَعۡثَوۡاْ
taʻs̤aw
act wickedly
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
(the) earth
مُفۡسِدِينَ
mufsideen.
spreading corruption
٧٤
7:75
قَالَ
Q̣aalal
Said
ٱلۡمَلَأُ
malaʹul
the chiefs
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeenas
those
ٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْ
takbaroo
(who) were arrogant
مِن
miñ
among
قَوۡمِهِۦ
q̣awmihee
his people
لِلَّذِينَ
lillaẓeenas
to those who
ٱسۡتُضۡعِفُواْ
tuḍʻifoo
were oppressed
لِمَنۡ
liman
[to] those who
ءَامَنَ
ʹaamana
believed
مِنۡهُمۡ
minhum
among them
أَتَعۡلَمُونَ
ʹataʻlamoona
Do you know
أَنَّ
ʹanna
that
صَٰلِحٗا
Ṣaliḥam
Salih
مُّرۡسَلٞ
mursalum
(is the) one sent
مِّن
mir
from
رَّبِّهِۦۚ
Rabbih?
his Lord
قَالُوٓاْ
Q̣aalooo
They said
إِنَّا
ʹinnaa
Indeed we
بِمَآ
bimaaa
in what
أُرۡسِلَ
ʹursila
he has been sent
بِهِۦ
bihee
with [it]
مُؤۡمِنُونَ
Muʹminoon.
(are) believers
٧٥
7:76
قَالَ
Q̣aalal
Said
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeenas
those who
ٱسۡتَكۡبَرُوٓاْ
takbarooo
were arrogant
إِنَّا
ʹinnaa
Indeed we
بِٱلَّذِيٓ
billaẓeee
in that which
ءَامَنتُم
ʹaamañtum̃
you believe
بِهِۦ
bihee
in it
كَٰفِرُونَ
kaafiroon.
(are) disbelievers
٧٦
7:77
فَعَقَرُواْ
Faʻaq̣arun
Then they hamstrung
ٱلنَّاقَةَ
Naaq̣ata
the she-camel
وَعَتَوۡاْ
wa-ʻataw
and (were) insolent
عَنۡ
ʻan
towards
أَمۡرِ
ʹamri
(the) command
رَبِّهِمۡ
Rabbihim
(of) their Lord
وَقَالُواْ
wa-q̣aaloo
and they said
يَٰصَٰلِحُ
yaa-Ṣaaliḥuʹ
O Salih
ٱئۡتِنَا
tinaa
Bring us
بِمَا
bimaa
what
تَعِدُنَآ
taʻidunaaa
you promise us
إِن
ʹiñ
if
كُنتَ
kuñta
you are
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ
mursaleen.
the Messengers
٧٧
7:78
فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ
Faʹakhaẓathumur
So seized them
ٱلرَّجۡفَةُ
rajfatu
the earthquake
فَأَصۡبَحُواْ
faʹaṣbaḥoo
then they became
فِي
fee
in
دَارِهِمۡ
daarihim
their homes
جَٰثِمِينَ
jaas̤imeen.
fallen prone
٧٨
7:79
فَتَوَلَّىٰ
Fatawallaa
So he turned away
عَنۡهُمۡ
ʻanhum
from them
وَقَالَ
wa-q̣aala
and he said
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaa-q̣awmi
O my people
لَقَدۡ
laq̣ad
Verily
أَبۡلَغۡتُكُمۡ
ʹablag̣tukum
I have conveyed to you
رِسَالَةَ
risaalata
(the) Message
رَبِّي
Rabbee
(of) my Lord
وَنَصَحۡتُ
wa-naṣaḥtu
and [I] advised
لَكُمۡ
lakum
[to] you
وَلَٰكِن
wa-laakil
but
لَّا
laa
not
تُحِبُّونَ
tuḥibboonan
you like
ٱلنَّٰصِحِينَ
naaṣiḥeen.
the advisers
٧٩
7:80
وَلُوطًا
Wa-Looṭan
And Lut
إِذۡ
ʹiẓ
when
قَالَ
q̣aala
he said
لِقَوۡمِهِۦٓ
liq̣awmiheee
to his people
أَتَأۡتُونَ
ʹataʹtoonal
Do you commit
ٱلۡفَٰحِشَةَ
faaḥishata
(such) immorality
مَا
maa-
not
سَبَقَكُم
sabaq̣akum̃
has preceded you
بِهَا
bihaa
therein
مِنۡ
min
any
أَحَدٖ
ʹaḥadim
one
مِّنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
ʻaalameen?
the worlds
٨٠
7:81
إِنَّكُمۡ
ʹInnakum
Indeed you
لَتَأۡتُونَ
lataʹtoonar
you approach
ٱلرِّجَالَ
rijaala
the men
شَهۡوَةٗ
shahwatam
lustfully
مِّن
miñ
from
دُونِ
doonin
instead of
ٱلنِّسَآءِۚ
nisaaaʹ.
the women
بَلۡ
Bal
Nay
أَنتُمۡ
ʹañtum
you
قَوۡمٞ
q̣awmum
(are) a people
مُّسۡرِفُونَ
musrifoon.
(who) commit excesses
٨١
