قَالَا
qala
Both of them said
رَبَّنَا
rabbana
Our Lord
ظَلَمۡنَآ
zalamna
we have wronged
أَنفُسَنَا
anfusana
ourselves
وَإِن
wa-in
and if
لَّمۡ
lam
not
تَغۡفِرۡ
taghfir
You forgive
لَنَا
lana
[for] us
وَتَرۡحَمۡنَا
watarhamna
and have mercy (on) us
لَنَكُونَنَّ
lanakunanna
surely we will be
مِنَ
mina
among
ٱلۡخَٰسِرِينَ
al-khasirina
the losers
٢٣
7:24
قَالَ
qala
(Allah) said
ٱهۡبِطُواْ
ih'bitu
Get down
بَعۡضُكُمۡ
ba'dukum
some of you
لِبَعۡضٍ
liba'din
to some others
عَدُوّٞۖ
aduwwun
(as) enemy
وَلَكُمۡ
walakum
And for you
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the earth
مُسۡتَقَرّٞ
mus'taqarrun
(is) a dwelling place
وَمَتَٰعٌ
wamata'un
and livelihood
إِلَىٰ
ila
for
حِينٖ
hinin
a time
٢٤
7:25
قَالَ
qala
He said
فِيهَا
fiha
In it
تَحۡيَوۡنَ
tahyawna
you will live
وَفِيهَا
wafiha
and in it
تَمُوتُونَ
tamutuna
you will die
وَمِنۡهَا
wamin'ha
and from it
تُخۡرَجُونَ
tukh'rajuna
you will be brought forth
٢٥
7:26
يَٰبَنِيٓ
yabani
O Children
ءَادَمَ
adama
(of) Adam
قَدۡ
qad
Verily
أَنزَلۡنَا
anzalna
We have sent down
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
alaykum
to you
لِبَاسٗا
libasan
clothing
يُوَٰرِي
yuwari
it covers
سَوۡءَٰتِكُمۡ
sawatikum
your shame
وَرِيشٗاۖ
warishan
and (as) an adornment
وَلِبَاسُ
walibasu
But the clothing
ٱلتَّقۡوَىٰ
al-taqwa
(of) [the] righteousness
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
that
خَيۡرٞۚ
khayrun
(is) best
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
That
مِنۡ
min
(is) from
ءَايَٰتِ
ayati
(the) Signs
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
لَعَلَّهُمۡ
la'allahum
so that they may
يَذَّكَّرُونَ
yadhakkaruna
remember
٢٦
7:27
يَٰبَنِيٓ
yabani
O Children
ءَادَمَ
adama
(of) Adam
لَا
la
(Let) not
يَفۡتِنَنَّكُمُ
yaftinannakumu
tempt you
ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ
al-shaytanu
[the] Shaitaan
كَمَآ
kama
as
أَخۡرَجَ
akhraja
he drove out
أَبَوَيۡكُم
abawaykum
your parents
مِّنَ
mina
from
ٱلۡجَنَّةِ
al-janati
Paradise
يَنزِعُ
yanzi'u
stripping
عَنۡهُمَا
anhuma
from both of them
لِبَاسَهُمَا
libasahuma
their clothing
لِيُرِيَهُمَا
liyuriyahuma
to show both of them
سَوۡءَٰتِهِمَآۚ
sawatihima
their shame
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed he
يَرَىٰكُمۡ
yarakum
sees you
هُوَ
huwa
he
وَقَبِيلُهُۥ
waqabiluhu
and his tribe
مِنۡ
min
from
حَيۡثُ
haythu
where
لَا
la
not
تَرَوۡنَهُمۡۗ
tarawnahum
you see them
إِنَّا
inna
Indeed
جَعَلۡنَا
ja'alna
We have made
ٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ
al-shayatina
the devils
أَوۡلِيَآءَ
awliyaa
friends
لِلَّذِينَ
lilladhina
of those who
لَا
la
(do) not
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yu'minuna
believe
٢٧
7:28
وَإِذَا
wa-idha
And when
فَعَلُواْ
fa'alu
they do
فَٰحِشَةٗ
fahishatan
immorality
قَالُواْ
qalu
they say
وَجَدۡنَا
wajadna
We found
عَلَيۡهَآ
alayha
on it
ءَابَآءَنَا
abaana
our forefathers
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
and Allah
أَمَرَنَا
amarana
(has) ordered us
بِهَاۗ
biha
of it
قُلۡ
qul
Say
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
لَا
la
(does) not
يَأۡمُرُ
yamuru
order
بِٱلۡفَحۡشَآءِۖ
bil-fahshai
immorality
أَتَقُولُونَ
ataquluna
Do you say
عَلَى
ala
about
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
مَا
ma
what
لَا
la
not
تَعۡلَمُونَ
ta'lamuna
you know
٢٨
7:29
قُلۡ
qul
Say
أَمَرَ
amara
(Has been) ordered
رَبِّي
rabbi
(by) my Lord
بِٱلۡقِسۡطِۖ
bil-qis'ti
justice
وَأَقِيمُواْ
wa-aqimu
and set
وُجُوهَكُمۡ
wujuhakum
your faces
عِندَ
inda
at
كُلِّ
kulli
every
مَسۡجِدٖ
masjidin
masjid
وَٱدۡعُوهُ
wa-id'uhu
and invoke Him
مُخۡلِصِينَ
mukh'lisina
(being) sincere
لَهُ
lahu
to Him
ٱلدِّينَۚ
al-dina
(in) the religion
كَمَا
kama
As
بَدَأَكُمۡ
bada-akum
He originated you
تَعُودُونَ
ta'uduna
(so) will you return
٢٩
7:30
فَرِيقًا
fariqan
A group
هَدَىٰ
hada
He guided
وَفَرِيقًا
wafariqan
and a group
حَقَّ
haqqa
deserved
عَلَيۡهِمُ
alayhimu
[on] they
ٱلضَّلَٰلَةُۚ
al-dalalatu
the astraying
إِنَّهُمُ
innahumu
Indeed they
ٱتَّخَذُواْ
ittakhadhu
take
ٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ
al-shayatina
the devils
أَوۡلِيَآءَ
awliyaa
(as) allies
مِن
min
from
دُونِ
duni
besides
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
وَيَحۡسَبُونَ
wayahsabuna
while they think
أَنَّهُم
annahum
that they
مُّهۡتَدُونَ
muh'taduna
(are the) guided-ones
