وَقَالُواْ
waqalu
And they say
هَٰذِهِۦٓ
hadhihi
These
أَنۡعَٰمٞ
an'amun
(are) cattle
وَحَرۡثٌ
waharthun
and crops
حِجۡرٞ
hij'run
forbidden
لَّا
la
no (one)
يَطۡعَمُهَآ
yat'amuha
can eat them
إِلَّا
illa
except
مَن
man
whom
نَّشَآءُ
nashau
we will
بِزَعۡمِهِمۡ
biza'mihim
by their claim
وَأَنۡعَٰمٌ
wa-an'amun
And cattle
حُرِّمَتۡ
hurrimat
forbidden
ظُهُورُهَا
zuhuruha
(are) their backs
وَأَنۡعَٰمٞ
wa-an'amun
and cattle
لَّا
la
not
يَذۡكُرُونَ
yadhkuruna
they mention
ٱسۡمَ
is'ma
(the) name
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
عَلَيۡهَا
alayha
on it
ٱفۡتِرَآءً
if'tiraan
(as) an invention
عَلَيۡهِۚ
alayhi
against Him
سَيَجۡزِيهِم
sayajzihim
He will recompense them
بِمَا
bima
for what
كَانُواْ
kanu
they used to
يَفۡتَرُونَ
yaftaruna
invent
١٣٨
6:139
وَقَالُواْ
waqalu
And they say
مَا
ma
What
فِي
fi
(is) in
بُطُونِ
butuni
(the) wombs
هَٰذِهِ
hadhihi
(of) these
ٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمِ
al-an'ami
cattle
خَالِصَةٞ
khalisatun
(is) exclusively
لِّذُكُورِنَا
lidhukurina
for our males
وَمُحَرَّمٌ
wamuharramun
and forbidden
عَلَىٰٓ
ala
on
أَزۡوَٰجِنَاۖ
azwajina
our spouses
وَإِن
wa-in
But if
يَكُن
yakun
is
مَّيۡتَةٗ
maytatan
(born) dead
فَهُمۡ
fahum
then they (all)
فِيهِ
fihi
in it
شُرَكَآءُۚ
shurakau
(are) partners
سَيَجۡزِيهِمۡ
sayajzihim
He will recompense them
وَصۡفَهُمۡۚ
wasfahum
(for) their attribution
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed He
حَكِيمٌ
hakimun
(is) All-Wise
عَلِيمٞ
alimun
All-Knowing
١٣٩
6:140
قَدۡ
qad
Certainly
خَسِرَ
khasira
(are) lost
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
قَتَلُوٓاْ
qatalu
killed
أَوۡلَٰدَهُمۡ
awladahum
their children
سَفَهَۢا
safahan
(in) foolishness
بِغَيۡرِ
bighayri
without
عِلۡمٖ
il'min
knowledge
وَحَرَّمُواْ
waharramu
and forbid
مَا
ma
what
رَزَقَهُمُ
razaqahumu
(bas been) provided (to) them
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
(by) Allah
ٱفۡتِرَآءً
if'tiraan
inventing (lies)
عَلَى
ala
against
ٱللَّهِۚ
al-lahi
Allah
قَدۡ
qad
Certainly
ضَلُّواْ
dallu
they have gone astray
وَمَا
wama
and not
كَانُواْ
kanu
they are
مُهۡتَدِينَ
muh'tadina
guided-ones
١٤٠
6:141
۞وَهُوَ
wahuwa
And He
ٱلَّذِيٓ
alladhi
(is) the One Who
أَنشَأَ
ansha-a
produced
جَنَّٰتٖ
jannatin
gardens
مَّعۡرُوشَٰتٖ
ma'rushatin
trellised
وَغَيۡرَ
waghayra
and other than
مَعۡرُوشَٰتٖ
ma'rushatin
trellised
وَٱلنَّخۡلَ
wal-nakhla
and the date-palm
وَٱلزَّرۡعَ
wal-zar'a
and the crops
مُخۡتَلِفًا
mukh'talifan
diverse
أُكُلُهُۥ
ukuluhu
(are) its taste
وَٱلزَّيۡتُونَ
wal-zaytuna
and the olives
وَٱلرُّمَّانَ
wal-rumana
and the pomegranates
مُتَشَٰبِهٗا
mutashabihan
similar
وَغَيۡرَ
waghayra
and other than
مُتَشَٰبِهٖۚ
mutashabihin
similar
كُلُواْ
kulu
Eat
مِن
min
of
ثَمَرِهِۦٓ
thamarihi
its fruit
إِذَآ
idha
when
أَثۡمَرَ
athmara
it bears fruit
وَءَاتُواْ
waatu
and give
حَقَّهُۥ
haqqahu
its due
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(on the) day
حَصَادِهِۦۖ
hasadihi
(of) its harvest
وَلَا
wala
And (do) not
تُسۡرِفُوٓاْۚ
tus'rifu
(be) extravagant
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed He
لَا
la
(does) not
يُحِبُّ
yuhibbu
love
ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ
al-mus'rifina
the ones who are extravagant
١٤١
6:142
وَمِنَ
wamina
And of
ٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمِ
al-an'ami
the cattle
حَمُولَةٗ
hamulatan
(are some for) burden
وَفَرۡشٗاۚ
wafarshan
and (some for) meat
كُلُواْ
kulu
Eat
مِمَّا
mimma
of what
رَزَقَكُمُ
razaqakumu
(has been) provided (to) you
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
(by) Allah
وَلَا
wala
and (do) not
تَتَّبِعُواْ
tattabi'u
follow
خُطُوَٰتِ
khutuwati
(the) footsteps
ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِۚ
al-shaytani
(of) Shaitaan
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed he
لَكُمۡ
lakum
(is) to you
عَدُوّٞ
aduwwun
an enemy
مُّبِينٞ
mubinun
open
