6:74
۞وَإِذۡ
Wa-ʹiẓ
And when
قَالَ
q̣aala
said
إِبۡرَٰهِيمُ
ʹIbraaheemu
Ibrahim
لِأَبِيهِ
liʹabeehi
to his father
ءَازَرَ
ʹAazara
Azar
أَتَتَّخِذُ
ʹatattakhiẓu
Do you take
أَصۡنَامًا
ʹaṣnaaman
idols
ءَالِهَةً
ʹaalihah?
(as) gods
إِنِّيٓ
ʹInneee
Indeed I
أَرَىٰكَ
ʹaraaka
[I] see you
وَقَوۡمَكَ
wa-q̣awmaka
and your people
فِي
fee
in
ضَلَٰلٖ
ḍalaalim
error
مُّبِينٖ
mubeen.
manifest
٧٤
6:75
وَكَذَٰلِكَ
Wa-kaẓaalika
And thus
نُرِيٓ
nureee
We show(ed)
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
ʹIbraaheema
Ibrahim
مَلَكُوتَ
Malakootas
the kingdom
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
samaawaati
(of) the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ
wal-ʹarḍi
and the earth
وَلِيَكُونَ
wa-liyakoona
so that he would be
مِنَ
minal
among
ٱلۡمُوقِنِينَ
Mooq̣ineen.
the ones who are certain
٧٥
6:76
فَلَمَّا
Falammaa
So when
جَنَّ
janna
covered
عَلَيۡهِ
ʻalayhil
over him
ٱلَّيۡلُ
laylu
the night
رَءَا
raʹaa
he saw
كَوۡكَبٗاۖ
kaw-kabaa.
a star
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
هَٰذَا
haaẓaa
This
رَبِّيۖ
Rabbee.
(is) my Lord
فَلَمَّآ
Falammaaa
But when
أَفَلَ
ʹafala
it set
قَالَ
q̣aala
he said
لَآ
laaa
Not
أُحِبُّ
ʹuḥibbul
(do) I like
ٱلۡأٓفِلِينَ
ʹaafileen.
the ones that set
٧٦
6:77
فَلَمَّا
Falammaa
When
رَءَا
raʹal
he saw
ٱلۡقَمَرَ
q̣amara
the moon
بَازِغٗا
baazig̣añ
rising
قَالَ
q̣aala
he said
هَٰذَا
haaẓaa
This
رَبِّيۖ
Rabbee.
(is) my Lord
فَلَمَّآ
Falammaaa
But when
أَفَلَ
ʹafala
it set
قَالَ
q̣aala
he said
لَئِن
laʹil
If
لَّمۡ
lam
(does) not
يَهۡدِنِي
yahdinee
guide me
رَبِّي
Rabbee
my Lord
لَأَكُونَنَّ
laʹakoonanna
I will surely be
مِنَ
minal
among
ٱلۡقَوۡمِ
q̣awmiḍ
the people
ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
ḍaaalleeen.
who went astray
٧٧
6:78
فَلَمَّا
Falammaa
When
رَءَا
ra
he saw
ٱلشَّمۡسَ
ʹash-shamsa
the sun
بَازِغَةٗ
baazig̣atañ
rising
قَالَ
q̣aala
he said
هَٰذَا
haaẓaa
This (is)
رَبِّي
Rabbee
my Lord
هَٰذَآ
haaẓaaa
this (is)
أَكۡبَرُۖ
ʹakbar.
greater
فَلَمَّآ
Falammaaa
But when
أَفَلَتۡ
ʹafalat
it set
قَالَ
q̣aala
he said
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaa-q̣awmi
O my people
إِنِّي
ʹinnee
Indeed I am
بَرِيٓءٞ
bareeʹum
free
مِّمَّا
mimmaa
of what
تُشۡرِكُونَ
tushrikoon.
you associate (with Allah)
٧٨
6:79
إِنِّي
ʹInnee
Indeed I
وَجَّهۡتُ
waj-jahtu
[I] have turned
وَجۡهِيَ
wajhiya
my face
لِلَّذِي
lillaẓee
to the One Who
فَطَرَ
faṭaras
created
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
samaawaati
the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ
wal-arḍa
and the earth
حَنِيفٗاۖ
ḥaneefañw
(as) a true monotheist
وَمَآ
wamaaa
and not
أَنَا۠
ʹana
I (am)
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
mushrikeen.
the polytheists
٧٩
6:80
وَحَآجَّهُۥ
Wa-haaaj-jahoo
And argued with him
قَوۡمُهُۥۚ
q̣aw-muh.
his people
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
أَتُحَٰٓجُّوٓنِّي
ʹa-tu-ḥaaaj-jooon-nee
Do you argue with me
فِي
fil
concerning
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
وَقَدۡ
wa-q̣ad
while certainly
هَدَىٰنِۚ
hadaan?
He has guided me
وَلَآ
Wa-laaa
And not
أَخَافُ
ʹakhaafu
(do) I fear
مَا
maa-
what
تُشۡرِكُونَ
tushrikoona
you associate
بِهِۦٓ
biheee
with Him
إِلَّآ
ʹillaaa
unless
أَن
ʹañy
[that]
يَشَآءَ
yashaaaʹa
wills
رَبِّي
Rabbee
my Lord
شَيۡـٔٗاۚ
shayʹaa.
anything
وَسِعَ
Wasiʻa
Encompasses
رَبِّي
Rabbee
my Lord
كُلَّ
kulla
every
شَيۡءٍ
shayʹin
thing
عِلۡمًاۚ
ʻilmaa.
(in) knowledge
أَفَلَا
ʹAfalaa
Then will not
تَتَذَكَّرُونَ
tataẓakkaroon?
you take heed
٨٠
6:81
وَكَيۡفَ
Wa-kayfa
And how
أَخَافُ
ʹakhaafu
could I fear
مَآ
maaa
what
أَشۡرَكۡتُمۡ
ʹashraktum
you associate (with Allah)
وَلَا
wa-laa
while not
تَخَافُونَ
takhaafoona
you fear
أَنَّكُمۡ
ʹannakum
that you
أَشۡرَكۡتُم
ʹashraktum̃
have associated
بِٱللَّهِ
billaahi
with Allah
مَا
maa-
what
لَمۡ
lam
not
يُنَزِّلۡ
yunazzil
did He send down
بِهِۦ
bihee
for it
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʻalaykum
to you
سُلۡطَٰنٗاۚ
sulṭaanaa?
any authority
فَأَيُّ
Faʹayyul
So which
ٱلۡفَرِيقَيۡنِ
fareeq̣ayni
(of) the two parties
أَحَقُّ
ʹaḥaq̣q̣u
has more right
بِٱلۡأَمۡنِۖ
bil-amn?
to security
إِن
ʹIñ
if
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
you
تَعۡلَمُونَ
taʻlamoon.
know
