۞وَإِذۡ

And when
قَالَ

إِبۡرَٰهِيمُ
ib'rahimu
Ibrahim
لِأَبِيهِ
li-abihi
to his father
ءَازَرَ
azara
Azar
أَتَتَّخِذُ
atattakhidhu
Do you take
أَصۡنَامًا
asnaman
idols
ءَالِهَةً
alihatan
(as) gods
إِنِّيٓ
inni
Indeed I
أَرَىٰكَ
araka
[I] see you
وَقَوۡمَكَ
waqawmaka
and your people
فِي
fi
in
ضَلَٰلٖ
dalalin
error
مُّبِينٖ
mubinin
manifest
٧٤
6:75
وَكَذَٰلِكَ
wakadhalika
And thus
نُرِيٓ
nuri
We show(ed)
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
ib'rahima
Ibrahim
مَلَكُوتَ
malakuta
the kingdom
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
(of) the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ
wal-ardi
and the earth
وَلِيَكُونَ
waliyakuna
so that he would be
مِنَ
mina
among
ٱلۡمُوقِنِينَ
al-muqinina
the ones who are certain
٧٥
6:76
فَلَمَّا
falamma
So when
جَنَّ
janna
covered
عَلَيۡهِ
alayhi
over him
ٱلَّيۡلُ
al-laylu
the night
رَءَا
raa
he saw
كَوۡكَبٗاۖ
kawkaban
a star
قَالَ
qala
He said
هَٰذَا
hadha
This
رَبِّيۖ
rabbi
(is) my Lord
فَلَمَّآ
falamma
But when
أَفَلَ
afala
it set
قَالَ
qala
he said
لَآ
la
Not
أُحِبُّ
uhibbu
(do) I like
ٱلۡأٓفِلِينَ
al-afilina
the ones that set
٧٦
6:77
فَلَمَّا
falamma
When
رَءَا
raa
he saw
ٱلۡقَمَرَ
al-qamara
the moon
بَازِغٗا
bazighan
rising
قَالَ
qala
he said
هَٰذَا
hadha
This
رَبِّيۖ
rabbi
(is) my Lord
فَلَمَّآ
falamma
But when
أَفَلَ
afala
it set
قَالَ
qala
he said
لَئِن
la-in
If
لَّمۡ
lam
(does) not
يَهۡدِنِي
yahdini
guide me
رَبِّي
rabbi
my Lord
لَأَكُونَنَّ
la-akunanna
I will surely be
مِنَ
mina
among
ٱلۡقَوۡمِ
al-qawmi
the people
ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
al-dalina
who went astray
٧٧
6:78
فَلَمَّا
falamma
When
رَءَا
raa
he saw
ٱلشَّمۡسَ
al-shamsa
the sun
بَازِغَةٗ
bazighatan
rising
قَالَ
qala
he said
هَٰذَا
hadha
This (is)
رَبِّي
rabbi
my Lord
هَٰذَآ
hadha
this (is)
أَكۡبَرُۖ
akbaru
greater
فَلَمَّآ
falamma
But when
أَفَلَتۡ
afalat
it set
قَالَ
qala
he said
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaqawmi
O my people
إِنِّي
inni
Indeed I am
بَرِيٓءٞ
barion
free
مِّمَّا
mimma
of what
تُشۡرِكُونَ
tush'rikuna
you associate (with Allah)
٧٨
6:79
إِنِّي
inni
Indeed I
وَجَّهۡتُ
wajjahtu
[I] have turned
وَجۡهِيَ
wajhiya
my face
لِلَّذِي
lilladhi
to the One Who
فَطَرَ
fatara
created
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ
wal-arda
and the earth
حَنِيفٗاۖ
hanifan
(as) a true monotheist
وَمَآ
wama
and not
أَنَا۠
ana
I (am)
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
al-mush'rikina
the polytheists
٧٩
6:80
وَحَآجَّهُۥ
wahajjahu
And argued with him
قَوۡمُهُۥۚ
qawmuhu
his people
قَالَ
qala
He said
أَتُحَٰٓجُّوٓنِّي
atuhajjunni
Do you argue with me
فِي
fi
concerning
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
وَقَدۡ
waqad
while certainly
هَدَىٰنِۚ
hadani
He has guided me
وَلَآ
wala
And not
أَخَافُ
akhafu
(do) I fear
مَا
ma
what
تُشۡرِكُونَ
tush'rikuna
you associate
بِهِۦٓ
bihi
with Him
إِلَّآ
illa
unless
أَن
an
[that]
يَشَآءَ
yashaa
wills
رَبِّي
rabbi
my Lord
شَيۡـٔٗاۚ
shayan
anything
وَسِعَ
wasi'a
Encompasses
رَبِّي
rabbi
my Lord
كُلَّ
kulla
every
شَيۡءٍ
shayin
thing
عِلۡمًاۚ
il'man
(in) knowledge
أَفَلَا
afala
Then will not
تَتَذَكَّرُونَ
tatadhakkaruna
you take heed
٨٠
6:81
وَكَيۡفَ
wakayfa
And how
أَخَافُ
akhafu
could I fear
مَآ
ma
what
أَشۡرَكۡتُمۡ
ashraktum
you associate (with Allah)
وَلَا
wala
while not
تَخَافُونَ
takhafuna
you fear
أَنَّكُمۡ
annakum
that you
أَشۡرَكۡتُم
ashraktum
have associated
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
with Allah
مَا
ma
what
لَمۡ
lam
not
يُنَزِّلۡ
yunazzil
did He send down
بِهِۦ
bihi
for it
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
alaykum
to you
سُلۡطَٰنٗاۚ
sul'tanan
any authority
فَأَيُّ
fa-ayyu
So which
ٱلۡفَرِيقَيۡنِ
al-fariqayni
(of) the two parties
أَحَقُّ
ahaqqu
has more right
بِٱلۡأَمۡنِۖ
bil-amni
to security
إِن
in
if
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
you
تَعۡلَمُونَ
ta'lamuna
know
