ٱلۡحَقِّ

وَلَا

and (do) not
تَتَّبِعُوٓاْ
tattabi'u
follow
أَهۡوَآءَ
ahwaa
(vain) desires
قَوۡمٖ
qawmin
(of) a people
قَدۡ
qad
certainly
ضَلُّواْ
dallu
who went astray
مِن
min
from
قَبۡلُ
qablu
before
وَأَضَلُّواْ
wa-adallu
and they misled
كَثِيرٗا
kathiran
many
وَضَلُّواْ
wadallu
and they have strayed
عَن
an
from
سَوَآءِ
sawai
(the) right
ٱلسَّبِيلِ
al-sabili
[the] way
٧٧
5:78
لُعِنَ
lu'ina
Were cursed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaru
disbelieved
مِنۢ
min
from
بَنِيٓ
bani
(the) Children
إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ
is'raila
(of) Israel
عَلَىٰ
ala
by
لِسَانِ
lisani
(the) tongue
دَاوُۥدَ
dawuda
(of) Dawood
وَعِيسَى
wa'isa
and Isa
ٱبۡنِ
ib'ni
son
مَرۡيَمَۚ
maryama
(of) Maryam
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
that (was)
بِمَا
bima
because
عَصَواْ
asaw
they disobeyed
وَّكَانُواْ
wakanu
and they were
يَعۡتَدُونَ
ya'taduna
transgressing
٧٨
5:79
كَانُواْ
kanu
They had been
لَا
la
not
يَتَنَاهَوۡنَ
yatanahawna
forbidding each other
عَن
an
from
مُّنكَرٖ
munkarin
wrongdoing
فَعَلُوهُۚ
fa'aluhu
they did [it]
لَبِئۡسَ
labi'sa
Surely evil
مَا
ma
(was) what
كَانُواْ
kanu
they were
يَفۡعَلُونَ
yaf 'aluna
doing
٧٩
5:80
تَرَىٰ
tara
You see
كَثِيرٗا
kathiran
many
مِّنۡهُمۡ
min'hum
of them
يَتَوَلَّوۡنَ
yatawallawna
taking as allies
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
كَفَرُواْۚ
kafaru
disbelieved
لَبِئۡسَ
labi'sa
Surely evil
مَا
ma
(is) what
قَدَّمَتۡ
qaddamat
sent forth
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
أَنفُسُهُمۡ
anfusuhum
their souls
أَن
an
that
سَخِطَ
sakhita
became angry
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
alayhim
with them
وَفِي
wafi
and in
ٱلۡعَذَابِ
al-'adhabi
the punishment
هُمۡ
hum
they
خَٰلِدُونَ
khaliduna
(will) abide forever
٨٠
5:81
وَلَوۡ
walaw
And if
كَانُواْ
kanu
they had
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yu'minuna
believed
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
in Allah
وَٱلنَّبِيِّ
wal-nabiyi
and the Prophet
وَمَآ
wama
and what
أُنزِلَ
unzila
has been revealed
إِلَيۡهِ
ilayhi
to him
مَا
ma
not
ٱتَّخَذُوهُمۡ
ittakhadhuhum
they (would have) taken them
أَوۡلِيَآءَ
awliyaa
(as) allies
وَلَٰكِنَّ
walakinna
[and] but
كَثِيرٗا
kathiran
many
مِّنۡهُمۡ
min'hum
of them
فَٰسِقُونَ
fasiquna
(are) defiantly disobedient
٨١
5:82
۞لَتَجِدَنَّ
latajidanna
Surely you will find
أَشَدَّ
ashadda
strongest
ٱلنَّاسِ
al-nasi
(of) the people
عَدَٰوَةٗ
adawatan
(in) enmity
لِّلَّذِينَ
lilladhina
to those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe
ٱلۡيَهُودَ
al-yahuda
the Jews
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhina
and those who
أَشۡرَكُواْۖ
ashraku
(are) polytheists
وَلَتَجِدَنَّ
walatajidanna
and surely you will find
أَقۡرَبَهُم
aqrabahum
nearest of them
مَّوَدَّةٗ
mawaddatan
(in) affection
لِّلَّذِينَ
lilladhina
to those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
قَالُوٓاْ
qalu
say
إِنَّا
inna
We
نَصَٰرَىٰۚ
nasara
(are) Christians
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
That (is)
بِأَنَّ
bi-anna
because
مِنۡهُمۡ
min'hum
among them
قِسِّيسِينَ
qissisina
(are) priests
وَرُهۡبَانٗا
waruh'banan
and monks
وَأَنَّهُمۡ
wa-annahum
and that they
لَا
la
(are) not
يَسۡتَكۡبِرُونَ
yastakbiruna
arrogant
