وَقَالَتِ
Wa-q̣aalatil
And said
ٱلۡيَهُودُ
Yahoodu
the Jews
وَٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ
wan-Naṣaaraa
and the Christians
نَحۡنُ
naḥnu
We (are)
أَبۡنَٰٓؤُاْ
ʹabnaaaʹul
(the) children
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
وَأَحِبَّٰٓؤُهُۥۚ
wa-ʹaḥibbaaaʹuh.
and His beloved
قُلۡ
Q̣ul
Say
فَلِمَ
falima
Then why
يُعَذِّبُكُم
yuʻaẓẓibukum̃
(does He) punish you
بِذُنُوبِكُمۖ
biẓunoobikum?
for your sins
بَلۡ
Bal
Nay
أَنتُم
ʹañtum̃
you (are)
بَشَرٞ
basharum
human beings
مِّمَّنۡ
mimman
from among (those)
خَلَقَۚ
khalaq̣:
He created
يَغۡفِرُ
yag̣firu
He forgives
لِمَن
limañy
[for] whom
يَشَآءُ
yashaaaʹu
He wills
وَيُعَذِّبُ
wa-yuʻaẓẓibu
and punishes
مَن
mañy
whom
يَشَآءُۚ
yashaaaʹ.
He wills
وَلِلَّهِ
Wa-lillaahi
And for Allah
مُلۡكُ
mulkus
(is the) dominion
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
samaawaati
(of) the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ
wal-ʹarḍi
and the earth
وَمَا
wa-maa
and whatever
بَيۡنَهُمَاۖ
baynahumaa
(is) between them
وَإِلَيۡهِ
wa-ʹilayhil
and to Him
ٱلۡمَصِيرُ
maṣeer.
(is) the final return
