2:70
قَالُواْ
Q̣aalud
They said
ٱدۡعُ
ʻu
Pray
لَنَا
lanaa
for us
رَبَّكَ
Rabbaka
(to) your Lord
يُبَيِّن
yubayyil
to make clear
لَّنَا
lanaa
to us
مَا
maa-
what
هِيَ
hiya
it (is)
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
Indeed
ٱلۡبَقَرَ
baq̣ara
[the] cows
تَشَٰبَهَ
tashaabaha
look alike
عَلَيۡنَا
ʻalaynaa:
to us
وَإِنَّآ
wa-ʹinnaaa
And indeed we
إِن
ʹiñ
if
شَآءَ
shaaaʹal
wills
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
لَمُهۡتَدُونَ
lamuhtadoon.
(will) surely be those who are guided
٧٠
2:71
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
إِنَّهُۥ
ʹinnahoo
Indeed He
يَقُولُ
yaq̣oolu
says
إِنَّهَا
ʹinnahaa
[Indeed] it
بَقَرَةٞ
baq̣aratul
(is) a cow
لَّا
laa
not
ذَلُولٞ
ẓalooluñ
trained
تُثِيرُ
tus̤eerul
to plough
ٱلۡأَرۡضَ
ʹarḍa
the earth
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
تَسۡقِي
tasq̣il
water
ٱلۡحَرۡثَ
hars̤;
the field
مُسَلَّمَةٞ
musallamatul
sound
لَّا
laa
no
شِيَةَ
shiyata
blemish
فِيهَاۚ
feehaa.
in it
قَالُواْ
Q̣aalul
They said
ٱلۡـَٰٔنَ
ʹaana
Now
جِئۡتَ
jiʹta
you have come
بِٱلۡحَقِّۚ
bilḥaq̣q̣.
with the truth
فَذَبَحُوهَا
Faẓabaḥoohaa
So they slaughtered it
وَمَا
wa-maa
and not
كَادُواْ
kaadoo
they were near
يَفۡعَلُونَ
yafʻaloon.
(to) doing (it)
٧١
2:72
وَإِذۡ
Wa-ʹiẓ
And when
قَتَلۡتُمۡ
q̣ataltum
you killed
نَفۡسٗا
nafsañ
a man
فَٱدَّٰرَٰءۡتُمۡ
faddaaraʹtum
then you disputed
فِيهَاۖ
feehaa:
concerning it
وَٱللَّهُ
wallaahu
but Allah
مُخۡرِجٞ
mukhrijum
(is) the One Who brought forth
مَّا
maa
what
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
you were
تَكۡتُمُونَ
taktumoon.
concealing
٧٢
2:73
فَقُلۡنَا
Faq̣ulnaḍ
So We said
ٱضۡرِبُوهُ
riboohu
Strike him
بِبَعۡضِهَاۚ
bibaʻḍihaa.
with a part of it
كَذَٰلِكَ
Kaẓaalika
Like this
يُحۡيِ
yuḥyil
revives
ٱللَّهُ
laa-hul
Allah
ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ
mawtaa
the dead
وَيُرِيكُمۡ
wa-yureekum
and shows you
ءَايَٰتِهِۦ
ʹAayaatihee
His Signs
لَعَلَّكُمۡ
laʻallakum
perhaps you may
تَعۡقِلُونَ
taʻq̣iloon.
use your intellect
٧٣
2:74
ثُمَّ
S̤umma
Then

أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
أَشَدُّ
ʹashaddu
stronger
قَسۡوَةٗۚ
q̣aswah.
(in) hardness
وَإِنَّ
Wa-ʹinna
And indeed
مِنَ
minal
from
ٱلۡحِجَارَةِ
ḥijaarati
the stones
لَمَا
lamaa
certainly (there are some) which
يَتَفَجَّرُ
yatafajjaru
gush forth
مِنۡهُ
minhul
from it
ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُۚ
ʹanhaar;
[the] rivers

from them
لَمَا
lamaa
certainly (there are some) which
يَشَّقَّقُ
yash-shaq̣q̣aq̣u

فَيَخۡرُجُ
fayakhruju
so comes out
مِنۡهُ
minhul
from it
ٱلۡمَآءُۚ

[the] water
وَإِنَّ
Wa-ʹinna

يَهۡبِطُ
yahbiṭu
fall down
مِنۡ

khashyatil
fear
ٱللَّهِۗ
laah.
(of) Allah
وَمَا
Wa-mal
And not
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
(is) Allah
بِغَٰفِلٍ
big̣aafilin
unaware
عَمَّا

of what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
taʻmaloon,
you do

2:75
۞أَفَتَطۡمَعُونَ
ʹAfataṭmaʻoona
Do you hope
أَن

that
يُؤۡمِنُواْ
yuʹminoo
they will believe
لَكُمۡ
lakum
[for] you
وَقَدۡ
wa-q̣ad
while indeed
كَانَ
kaana
(there) has been
فَرِيقٞ
fareeq̣um
a party
مِّنۡهُمۡ
minhum
of them
يَسۡمَعُونَ
yasmaʻoona
(who used to) hear
كَلَٰمَ
Kalaamal
(the) words
ٱللَّهِ
laahi

2:76
وَإِذَا
wa-ʹiẓaa
And when
لَقُواْ
laq̣ul
they meet
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
ءَامَنُواْ

believe[d]
قَالُوٓاْ

they say
