يَسۡتَفۡتُونَكَ
Yastaftoonaka
They seek your ruling
قُلِ
qulil
Say
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
يُفۡتِيكُمۡ
yufteekum
gives you a ruling
فِي
fil
concerning
ٱلۡكَلَٰلَةِۚ
Kalaalah.
the Kalala
إِنِ
ʹInim
if
ٱمۡرُؤٌاْ
ruʹun
a man
هَلَكَ
halaka
died
لَيۡسَ
laysa
(and) not
لَهُۥ
lahoo
he has
وَلَدٞ
waladuñw
a child
وَلَهُۥٓ
walahooo
and he has
أُخۡتٞ
ʹukhtuñ
a sister
فَلَهَا
falahaa
then for her
نِصۡفُ
niṣfu
(is) a half
مَا
maa-
(of) what
تَرَكَۚ
tarak:
he left
وَهُوَ
wa-huwa
And he
يَرِثُهَآ
yaris̤uhaaa
will inherit from her
إِن
ʹil
if
لَّمۡ
lam
not
يَكُن
yakul
is
لَّهَا
lahaa
for her
وَلَدٞۚ
walad.
a child
فَإِن
Faʹiñ
But if
كَانَتَا
kaanatas̤
there were
ٱثۡنَتَيۡنِ
natayni
two females
فَلَهُمَا
falahumas̤
then for them
ٱلثُّلُثَانِ
s̤ulus̤aani
two thirds
مِمَّا
mimmaa
of what
تَرَكَۚ
tarak:
he left
وَإِن
wa-ʹiñ
But if
كَانُوٓاْ
kaanooo
they were
إِخۡوَةٗ
ʹikhwatar
brothers and sisters
رِّجَالٗا
rijaalañw
men
وَنِسَآءٗ
wa-Nisaaaʹañ
and women
فَلِلذَّكَرِ
faliẓẓakari
then the male will have
مِثۡلُ
mis̤lu
like
حَظِّ
ḥaz̤̣z̤̣il
share
ٱلۡأُنثَيَيۡنِۗ
ʹuñs̤ayayn.
(of) the two females
يُبَيِّنُ
Yubayyinul
makes clear
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
لَكُمۡ
lakum
to you
أَن
ʹañ
lest
تَضِلُّواْۗ
taḍilloo.
you go astray
وَٱللَّهُ
Wallaahu
And Allah
بِكُلِّ
bikulli
of every
شَيۡءٍ
shayʹin
thing
عَلِيمُۢ
ʻAleem.
(is) All-Knower
