إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believed
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhina
and those who
هَادُواْ
hadu
became Jews
وَٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ
wal-nasara
and the Christians
وَٱلصَّٰبِـِٔينَ
wal-sabiina
and the Sabians
مَنۡ
man
who
ءَامَنَ
amana
believed
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
in Allah
وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ
wal-yawmi
and the Day
ٱلۡأٓخِرِ
al-akhiri
[the] Last
وَعَمِلَ
wa'amila
and did
صَٰلِحٗا
salihan
righteous deeds
فَلَهُمۡ
falahum
so for them
أَجۡرُهُمۡ
ajruhum
their reward
عِندَ
inda
(is) with
رَبِّهِمۡ
rabbihim
their Lord
وَلَا
wala
and no
خَوۡفٌ
khawfun
fear
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
alayhim
on them
وَلَا
wala
and not
هُمۡ
hum
they
يَحۡزَنُونَ
yahzanuna
will grieve
٦٢
2:63
وَإِذۡ
wa-idh
And when
أَخَذۡنَا
akhadhna
We took
مِيثَٰقَكُمۡ
mithaqakum
your covenant
وَرَفَعۡنَا
warafa'na
and We raised
فَوۡقَكُمُ
fawqakumu
over you
ٱلطُّورَ
al-tura
the mount
خُذُواْ
khudhu
Hold
مَآ
ma
what
ءَاتَيۡنَٰكُم
ataynakum
We have given you
بِقُوَّةٖ
biquwwatin
with strength
وَٱذۡكُرُواْ
wa-udh'kuru
and remember
مَا
ma
what
فِيهِ
fihi
(is) in it
لَعَلَّكُمۡ
la'allakum
perhaps you
تَتَّقُونَ
tattaquna
(would become) righteous
٦٣
2:64
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
تَوَلَّيۡتُم
tawallaytum
you turned away
مِّنۢ
min
from
بَعۡدِ
ba'di
after
ذَٰلِكَۖ
dhalika
that
فَلَوۡلَا
falawla
So if not
فَضۡلُ
fadlu
(for the) Grace
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
alaykum
upon you
وَرَحۡمَتُهُۥ
warahmatuhu
and His Mercy
لَكُنتُم
lakuntum
surely you would have been
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡخَٰسِرِينَ
al-khasirina
the losers
٦٤
2:65
وَلَقَدۡ
walaqad
And indeed
عَلِمۡتُمُ
alim'tumu
you knew
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
ٱعۡتَدَوۡاْ
i'tadaw
transgressed
مِنكُمۡ
minkum
among you
فِي
fi
in
ٱلسَّبۡتِ
al-sabti
the (matter of) Sabbath
فَقُلۡنَا
faqul'na
So We said
لَهُمۡ
lahum
to them
كُونُواْ
kunu
Be
قِرَدَةً
qiradatan
apes
خَٰسِـِٔينَ
khasiina
despised
٦٥
2:66
فَجَعَلۡنَٰهَا
faja'alnaha
So We made it
نَكَٰلٗا
nakalan
a deterrent punishment
لِّمَا
lima
for those
بَيۡنَ
bayna
(in) front
يَدَيۡهَا
yadayha
(of) them
وَمَا
wama
and those
خَلۡفَهَا
khalfaha
after them
وَمَوۡعِظَةٗ
wamaw'izatan
and an admonition
لِّلۡمُتَّقِينَ
lil'muttaqina
for those who fear (Allah)
٦٦
2:67
وَإِذۡ
wa-idh
And when
قَالَ
qala
said
مُوسَىٰ
musa
Musa
لِقَوۡمِهِۦٓ
liqawmihi
to his people
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
يَأۡمُرُكُمۡ
yamurukum
commands you
أَن
an
that
تَذۡبَحُواْ
tadhbahu
you slaughter
بَقَرَةٗۖ
baqaratan
a cow
قَالُوٓاْ
qalu
They said
أَتَتَّخِذُنَا
atattakhidhuna
Do you take us
هُزُوٗاۖ
huzuwan
(in) ridicule
قَالَ
qala
He said
أَعُوذُ
a'udhu
I seek refuge
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
in Allah
أَنۡ
an
that
أَكُونَ
akuna
I be
مِنَ
mina
among
ٱلۡجَٰهِلِينَ
al-jahilina
the ignorant
٦٧
2:68
قَالُواْ
qalu
They said
ٱدۡعُ
ud'u
Pray
لَنَا
lana
for us
رَبَّكَ
rabbaka
(to) your Lord
يُبَيِّن
yubayyin
to make clear
لَّنَا
lana
to us
مَا
ma
what
هِيَۚ
hiya
it (is)
قَالَ
qala
He said
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed He
يَقُولُ
yaqulu
says
إِنَّهَا
innaha
[Indeed] it
بَقَرَةٞ
baqaratun
(is) a cow
لَّا
la
not
فَارِضٞ
faridun
old
وَلَا
wala
and not
بِكۡرٌ
bik'run
young
عَوَانُۢ
awanun
middle aged
بَيۡنَ
bayna
between
ذَٰلِكَۖ
dhalika
that
فَٱفۡعَلُواْ
fa-if'alu
so do
مَا
ma
what
تُؤۡمَرُونَ
tu'maruna
you are commanded
٦٨
2:69
قَالُواْ
qalu
They said
ٱدۡعُ
ud'u
Pray
لَنَا
lana
for us
رَبَّكَ
rabbaka
(to) your Lord
يُبَيِّن
yubayyin
to make clear
لَّنَا
lana
to us
مَا
ma
what
لَوۡنُهَاۚ
lawnuha
(is) its color
قَالَ
qala
He said
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed He
يَقُولُ
yaqulu
says
إِنَّهَا
innaha
[Indeed] it is
بَقَرَةٞ
baqaratun
a cow
صَفۡرَآءُ
safrau
yellow
فَاقِعٞ
faqi'un
bright
لَّوۡنُهَا
lawnuha
(in) its color
تَسُرُّ
tasurru
pleasing
ٱلنَّٰظِرِينَ
al-nazirina
(to) those who see (it)
٦٩
