87:1سَبِّحِsabbihiGlorifyٱسۡمَis'ma(the) nameرَبِّكَrabbika(of) your Lordٱلۡأَعۡلَىal-a'lathe Most High١
87:7إِلَّاillaExceptمَاmawhatشَآءَshaawillsٱللَّهُۚal-lahuAllahإِنَّهُۥinnahuIndeed Heيَعۡلَمُya'lamuknowsٱلۡجَهۡرَal-jahrathe manifestوَمَاwamaand whatيَخۡفَىٰyakhfais hidden٧
87:12ٱلَّذِيalladhiThe one whoيَصۡلَىyaslawill burnٱلنَّارَal-nara(in) the Fireٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰal-kub'ra[the] great١٢
87:13ثُمَّthummaThenلَاlanotيَمُوتُyamutuhe will dieفِيهَاfihathereinوَلَاwalaand notيَحۡيَىٰyahyawill live١٣
87:15وَذَكَرَwadhakaraAnd remembersٱسۡمَis'ma(the) nameرَبِّهِۦrabbihi(of) his Lordفَصَلَّىٰfasallaand prays١٥
87:16بَلۡbalNayتُؤۡثِرُونَtu'thirunaYou preferٱلۡحَيَوٰةَal-hayatathe lifeٱلدُّنۡيَاal-dun'ya(of) the world١٦
87:17وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةُwal-akhiratuWhile the Hereafterخَيۡرٞkhayrun(is) betterوَأَبۡقَىٰٓwa-abqaand everlasting١٧
87:18إِنَّinnaIndeedهَٰذَاhadhathisلَفِيlafisurely (is) inٱلصُّحُفِal-suhufithe Scripturesٱلۡأُولَىٰal-ula[the] former١٨
88:1هَلۡhalHasأَتَىٰكَataka(there) come to youحَدِيثُhadithu(the) newsٱلۡغَٰشِيَةِal-ghashiyati(of) the Overwhelming١
88:6لَّيۡسَlaysaNot isلَهُمۡlahumfor themطَعَامٌta'amunfoodإِلَّاillaexceptمِنminfromضَرِيعٖdari'ina bitter thorny plant٦
88:7لَّاlaNotيُسۡمِنُyus'minuit nourishesوَلَاwalaand notيُغۡنِيyugh'niit availsمِنminfromجُوعٖju'inhunger٧
88:17أَفَلَاafalaThen do notيَنظُرُونَyanzurunathey lookإِلَىilatowardsٱلۡإِبِلِal-ibilithe camelsكَيۡفَkayfahowخُلِقَتۡkhuliqatthey are created١٧
88:19وَإِلَىwa-ilaAnd towardsٱلۡجِبَالِal-jibalithe mountainsكَيۡفَkayfahowنُصِبَتۡnusibatthey are fixed١٩
88:20وَإِلَىwa-ilaAnd towardsٱلۡأَرۡضِal-ardithe earthكَيۡفَkayfahowسُطِحَتۡsutihatit is spread out٢٠
88:21فَذَكِّرۡfadhakkirSo remindإِنَّمَآinnamaonlyأَنتَantayouمُذَكِّرٞmudhakkirun(are) a reminder٢١
88:24فَيُعَذِّبُهُfayu'adhibuhuThen will punish himٱللَّهُal-lahuAllahٱلۡعَذَابَal-'adhaba(with) the punishmentٱلۡأَكۡبَرَal-akbaragreatest٢٤
89:5هَلۡhalIsفِيfiinذَٰلِكَdhalikathatقَسَمٞqasamun(not) an oathلِّذِيlidhifor thoseحِجۡرٍhij'rinwho understand٥
