46:2تَنزِيلُtanzilu(The) revelationٱلۡكِتَٰبِal-kitabi(of) the Bookمِنَmina(is) fromٱللَّهِal-lahiAllahٱلۡعَزِيزِal-'azizithe All-Mightyٱلۡحَكِيمِal-hakimithe All-Wise٢
46:3مَاmaNotخَلَقۡنَاkhalaqnaWe createdٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِal-samawatithe heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضَwal-ardaand the earthوَمَاwamaand whatبَيۡنَهُمَآbaynahuma(is) between both of themإِلَّاillaexceptبِٱلۡحَقِّbil-haqiin truthوَأَجَلٖwa-ajalinand (for) a termمُّسَمّٗىۚmusammanappointedوَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhinaBut those whoكَفَرُواْkafarudisbelieveعَمَّآammafrom whatأُنذِرُواْundhiruthey are warnedمُعۡرِضُونَmu'riduna(are) turning away٣
46:4قُلۡqulSayأَرَءَيۡتُمara-aytumDo you seeمَّاmawhatتَدۡعُونَtad'unayou callمِنminbesidesدُونِdunibesidesٱللَّهِal-lahiAllahأَرُونِيaruniShow meمَاذَاmadhawhatخَلَقُواْkhalaquthey have createdمِنَminaofٱلۡأَرۡضِal-ardithe earthأَمۡamorلَهُمۡlahumfor themشِرۡكٞshir'kun(is) any shareفِيfiinٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِۖal-samawatithe heavensٱئۡتُونِيi'tuniBring meبِكِتَٰبٖbikitabina bookمِّنminfromقَبۡلِqablibeforeهَٰذَآhadhathisأَوۡaworأَثَٰرَةٖatharatina traceمِّنۡminofعِلۡمٍil'minknowledgeإِنinifكُنتُمۡkuntumyou areصَٰدِقِينَsadiqinatruthful٤
46:5وَمَنۡwamanAnd whoأَضَلُّadallu(is) more astrayمِمَّنmimmanthan (he) whoيَدۡعُواْyad'ucallsمِنminbesidesدُونِdunibesidesٱللَّهِal-lahiAllahمَنmanwhoلَّاlawill not respondيَسۡتَجِيبُyastajibuwill not respondلَهُۥٓlahuto himإِلَىٰilauntilيَوۡمِyawmi(the) Dayٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِal-qiyamati(of) Resurrectionوَهُمۡwahumand theyعَنanofدُعَآئِهِمۡdu'aihimtheir callsغَٰفِلُونَghafiluna(are) unaware٥
46:6وَإِذَاwa-idhaAnd whenحُشِرَhushiraare gatheredٱلنَّاسُal-nasuthe peopleكَانُواْkanuthey will beلَهُمۡlahumfor themأَعۡدَآءٗa'daanenemiesوَكَانُواْwakanuand they will beبِعِبَادَتِهِمۡbi'ibadatihimof their worshipكَٰفِرِينَkafirinadeniers٦
46:7وَإِذَاwa-idhaAnd whenتُتۡلَىٰtut'laare recitedعَلَيۡهِمۡalayhimto themءَايَٰتُنَاayatunaOur Versesبَيِّنَٰتٖbayyinatinclearقَالَqalasayٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoكَفَرُواْkafarudisbelieveلِلۡحَقِّlil'haqqiof the truthلَمَّاlammawhenجَآءَهُمۡjaahumit comes to themهَٰذَاhadhaThisسِحۡرٞsih'run(is) a magicمُّبِينٌmubinunclear٧
46:8أَمۡamOrيَقُولُونَyaqulunathey sayٱفۡتَرَىٰهُۖif'tarahuHe has invented itقُلۡqulSayإِنِiniIfٱفۡتَرَيۡتُهُۥif'taraytuhuI have invented itفَلَاfalathen notتَمۡلِكُونَtamlikunayou have powerلِيlifor meمِنَminaagainstٱللَّهِal-lahiAllahشَيۡـًٔاۖshayananythingهُوَhuwaHeأَعۡلَمُa'lamuknows bestبِمَاbimaof whatتُفِيضُونَtufidunayou utterفِيهِۚfihiconcerning itكَفَىٰkafaSufficient is HeبِهِۦbihiSufficient is Heشَهِيدَۢاshahidan(as) a Witnessبَيۡنِيbaynibetween meوَبَيۡنَكُمۡۖwabaynakumand between youوَهُوَwahuwaand Heٱلۡغَفُورُal-ghafuru(is) the Oft-Forgivingٱلرَّحِيمُal-rahimuthe Most Merciful٨
46:9قُلۡqulSayمَاmaNotكُنتُkuntuI amبِدۡعٗاbid'ana new (one)مِّنَminaamongٱلرُّسُلِal-rusulithe Messengersوَمَآwamaand notأَدۡرِيadriI knowمَاmawhatيُفۡعَلُyuf'aluwill be doneبِيbiwith meوَلَاwalaand notبِكُمۡۖbikumwith youإِنۡinNotأَتَّبِعُattabi'uI followإِلَّاillabutمَاmawhatيُوحَىٰٓyuhais revealedإِلَيَّilayyato meوَمَآwamaand notأَنَا۠anaI amإِلَّاillabutنَذِيرٞnadhiruna warnerمُّبِينٞmubinunclear٩
46:10قُلۡqulSayأَرَءَيۡتُمۡara-aytumDo you seeإِنinifكَانَkanait isمِنۡminfrom Allahعِندِindifrom Allahٱللَّهِal-lahifrom Allahوَكَفَرۡتُمwakafartumand you disbelieveبِهِۦbihiin itوَشَهِدَwashahidaand testifiesشَاهِدٞshahiduna witnessمِّنۢminfromبَنِيٓbani(the) Children of Israelإِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَis'raila(the) Children of Israelعَلَىٰalatoمِثۡلِهِۦmith'lihi(the) like thereofفَـَٔامَنَfaamanathen he believedوَٱسۡتَكۡبَرۡتُمۡۚwa-is'takbartumwhile you are arrogantإِنَّinnaIndeedٱللَّهَal-lahaAllahلَاla(does) notيَهۡدِيyahdiguideٱلۡقَوۡمَal-qawmathe peopleٱلظَّٰلِمِينَal-zaliminathe wrongdoers١٠
46:11وَقَالَwaqalaAnd sayٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoكَفَرُواْkafarudisbelieveلِلَّذِينَlilladhinaof those whoءَامَنُواْamanubelieveلَوۡlawIfكَانَkanait had beenخَيۡرٗاkhayrangoodمَّاmanotسَبَقُونَآsabaqunathey (would) have preceded usإِلَيۡهِۚilayhito itوَإِذۡwa-idhAnd whenلَمۡlamnotيَهۡتَدُواْyahtaduthey (are) guidedبِهِۦbihiby itفَسَيَقُولُونَfasayaqulunathey sayهَٰذَآhadhaThisإِفۡكٞif'kun(is) a lieقَدِيمٞqadimunancient١١
46:12وَمِنwaminAnd before itقَبۡلِهِۦqablihiAnd before itكِتَٰبُkitabu(was the) Scriptureمُوسَىٰٓmusa(of) Musaإِمَامٗاimaman(as) a guideوَرَحۡمَةٗۚwarahmatanand a mercyوَهَٰذَاwahadhaAnd thisكِتَٰبٞkitabun(is) a Bookمُّصَدِّقٞmusaddiqunconfirmingلِّسَانًاlisanan(in) languageعَرَبِيّٗاarabiyyanArabicلِّيُنذِرَliyundhirato warnٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoظَلَمُواْzalamudo wrongوَبُشۡرَىٰwabush'raand (as) glad tidingsلِلۡمُحۡسِنِينَlil'muh'sininafor the good-doers١٢
46:13إِنَّinnaIndeedٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoقَالُواْqalusayرَبُّنَاrabbunaOur Lordٱللَّهُal-lahu(is) Allahثُمَّthummathenٱسۡتَقَٰمُواْis'taqamuremain firmفَلَاfalathen noخَوۡفٌkhawfunfearعَلَيۡهِمۡalayhimon themوَلَاwalaand notهُمۡhumtheyيَحۡزَنُونَyahzanunawill grieve١٣
46:14أُوْلَٰٓئِكَulaikaThoseأَصۡحَٰبُashabu(are the) companionsٱلۡجَنَّةِal-janati(of) Paradiseخَٰلِدِينَkhalidinaabiding foreverفِيهَاfihathereinجَزَآءَۢjazaana rewardبِمَاbimafor whatكَانُواْkanuthey used toيَعۡمَلُونَya'malunado١٤
46:15وَوَصَّيۡنَاwawassaynaAnd We have enjoinedٱلۡإِنسَٰنَal-insana(on) manبِوَٰلِدَيۡهِbiwalidayhito his parentsإِحۡسَٰنًاۖih'sanankindnessحَمَلَتۡهُhamalathuCarried himأُمُّهُۥummuhuhis motherكُرۡهٗاkur'han(with) hardshipوَوَضَعَتۡهُwawada'athuand gave birth to himكُرۡهٗاۖkur'han(with) hardshipوَحَمۡلُهُۥwahamluhuAnd (the) bearing of himوَفِصَٰلُهُۥwafisaluhuand (the) weaning of himثَلَٰثُونَthalathuna(is) thirtyشَهۡرًاۚshahranmonth(s)حَتَّىٰٓhattauntilإِذَاidhawhenبَلَغَbalaghahe reachesأَشُدَّهُۥashuddahuhis maturityوَبَلَغَwabalaghaand reachesأَرۡبَعِينَarba'inafortyسَنَةٗsanatanyear(s)قَالَqalahe saysرَبِّrabbiMy Lordأَوۡزِعۡنِيٓawzi'nigrant me (the) powerأَنۡanthatأَشۡكُرَashkuraI may be gratefulنِعۡمَتَكَni'mataka(for) Your favorٱلَّتِيٓallatiwhichأَنۡعَمۡتَan'amtaYou have bestowedعَلَيَّalayyaupon meوَعَلَىٰwa'alaand uponوَٰلِدَيَّwalidayyamy parentsوَأَنۡwa-anand thatأَعۡمَلَa'malaI doصَٰلِحٗاsalihanrighteous (deeds)تَرۡضَىٰهُtardahuwhich please Youوَأَصۡلِحۡwa-aslihand make righteousلِيlifor meفِيfiamongذُرِّيَّتِيٓۖdhurriyyatimy offspringإِنِّيinniindeedتُبۡتُtub'tuI turnإِلَيۡكَilaykato Youوَإِنِّيwa-inniand indeed I amمِنَminaofٱلۡمُسۡلِمِينَal-mus'liminathose who submit١٥
46:16أُوْلَٰٓئِكَulaikaThoseٱلَّذِينَalladhina(are) the onesنَتَقَبَّلُnataqabbaluWe will acceptعَنۡهُمۡanhumfrom themأَحۡسَنَahsana(the) bestمَاma(of) whatعَمِلُواْamiluthey didوَنَتَجَاوَزُwanatajawazuand We will overlookعَنan[from]سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمۡsayyiatihimtheir evil deedsفِيٓfiamongأَصۡحَٰبِashabi(the) companionsٱلۡجَنَّةِۖal-janati(of) Paradiseوَعۡدَwa'daA promiseٱلصِّدۡقِal-sid'qitrueٱلَّذِيalladhiwhichكَانُواْkanuthey wereيُوعَدُونَyu'adunapromised١٦
46:17وَٱلَّذِيwa-alladhiBut the one whoقَالَqalasaysلِوَٰلِدَيۡهِliwalidayhito his parentsأُفّٖuffinUffلَّكُمَآlakumato both of youأَتَعِدَانِنِيٓata'idaniniDo you promise meأَنۡanthatأُخۡرَجَukh'rajaI will be brought forthوَقَدۡwaqadand have already passed awayخَلَتِkhalatiand have already passed awayٱلۡقُرُونُal-qurunuthe generationsمِنminbefore meقَبۡلِيqablibefore meوَهُمَاwahumaAnd they bothيَسۡتَغِيثَانِyastaghithaniseek helpٱللَّهَal-laha(of) AllahوَيۡلَكَwaylakaWoe to youءَامِنۡaminBelieveإِنَّinnaIndeedوَعۡدَwa'da(the) Promiseٱللَّهِal-lahi(of) Allahحَقّٞhaqqun(is) trueفَيَقُولُfayaquluBut he saysمَاmaNotهَٰذَآhadha(is) thisإِلَّآillabutأَسَٰطِيرُasatiru(the) storiesٱلۡأَوَّلِينَal-awalina(of) the former (people)١٧
46:18أُوْلَٰٓئِكَulaikaThose ٱلَّذِينَalladhina(are) the onesحَقَّhaqqa(has) proved trueعَلَيۡهِمُalayhimuagainst themٱلۡقَوۡلُal-qawluthe wordفِيٓfiamongأُمَمٖumaminnationsقَدۡqad(that) already passed awayخَلَتۡkhalat(that) already passed awayمِنminbefore themقَبۡلِهِمqablihimbefore themمِّنَminaofٱلۡجِنِّal-jini(the) jinnوَٱلۡإِنسِۖwal-insiand the menإِنَّهُمۡinnahumIndeed theyكَانُواْkanuareخَٰسِرِينَkhasirina(the) losers١٨
46:19وَلِكُلّٖwalikullinAnd for allدَرَجَٰتٞdarajatun(are) degreesمِّمَّاmimmafor whatعَمِلُواْۖamiluthey didوَلِيُوَفِّيَهُمۡwaliyuwaffiyahumand that He may fully compensate themأَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡa'malahum(for) their deedsوَهُمۡwahumand theyلَاlawill not be wrongedيُظۡلَمُونَyuz'lamunawill not be wronged١٩
46:20وَيَوۡمَwayawmaAnd (the) Dayيُعۡرَضُyu'raduwill be exposedٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoكَفَرُواْkafarudisbelievedعَلَىalatoٱلنَّارِal-narithe FireأَذۡهَبۡتُمۡadhhabtumYou exhaustedطَيِّبَٰتِكُمۡtayyibatikumyour good thingsفِيfiinحَيَاتِكُمُhayatikumuyour lifeٱلدُّنۡيَاal-dun'ya(of) the worldوَٱسۡتَمۡتَعۡتُمwa-is'tamta'tumand you took your pleasuresبِهَاbihathereinفَٱلۡيَوۡمَfal-yawmaSo todayتُجۡزَوۡنَtuj'zawnayou will be recompensedعَذَابَadhaba(with) a punishmentٱلۡهُونِal-hunihumiliatingبِمَاbimabecauseكُنتُمۡkuntumyou wereتَسۡتَكۡبِرُونَtastakbirunaarrogantفِيfiinٱلۡأَرۡضِal-ardithe earthبِغَيۡرِbighayriwithoutٱلۡحَقِّal-haqi[the] rightوَبِمَاwabimaand becauseكُنتُمۡkuntumyou wereتَفۡسُقُونَtafsuqunadefiantly disobedient٢٠
46:21۞وَٱذۡكُرۡwa-udh'kurAnd mentionأَخَاakha(the) brotherعَادٍadin(of) Aadإِذۡidhwhenأَنذَرَandharahe warnedقَوۡمَهُۥqawmahuhis peopleبِٱلۡأَحۡقَافِbil-ahqafiin the Al-Ahqaf وَقَدۡwaqadand had already passed awayخَلَتِkhalatiand had already passed awayٱلنُّذُرُal-nudhuru[the] warnersمِنۢminbefore himبَيۡنِbaynibefore himيَدَيۡهِyadayhibefore himوَمِنۡwaminand after himخَلۡفِهِۦٓkhalfihiand after himأَلَّاallaThat notتَعۡبُدُوٓاْta'buduyou worshipإِلَّاillaexceptٱللَّهَal-lahaAllahإِنِّيٓinniIndeed Iأَخَافُakhafu[I] fearعَلَيۡكُمۡalaykumfor youعَذَابَadhabaa punishmentيَوۡمٍyawmin(of) a DayعَظِيمٖaziminGreat٢١
46:22قَالُوٓاْqaluThey saidأَجِئۡتَنَاaji'tanaHave you come to usلِتَأۡفِكَنَاlitafikanato turn us awayعَنۡanfromءَالِهَتِنَاalihatinaour godsفَأۡتِنَاfatinaThen bring usبِمَاbimawhatتَعِدُنَآta'idunayou threaten usإِنinifكُنتَkuntayou areمِنَminaofٱلصَّٰدِقِينَal-sadiqinathe truthful٢٢
46:23قَالَqalaHe saidإِنَّمَاinnamaOnlyٱلۡعِلۡمُal-'il'muthe knowledgeعِندَinda(is) with Allahٱللَّهِal-lahi(is) with Allahوَأُبَلِّغُكُمwa-uballighukumand I convey to youمَّآmawhatأُرۡسِلۡتُur'sil'tuI am sentبِهِۦbihiwith itوَلَٰكِنِّيٓwalakinnibutأَرَىٰكُمۡarakumI see youقَوۡمٗاqawmana peopleتَجۡهَلُونَtajhalunaignorant٢٣
46:24فَلَمَّاfalammaThen whenرَأَوۡهُra-awhuthey saw itعَارِضٗاaridan(as) a cloudمُّسۡتَقۡبِلَmus'taqbilaapproachingأَوۡدِيَتِهِمۡawdiyatihimtheir valleysقَالُواْqaluthey saidهَٰذَاhadhaThisعَارِضٞaridun(is) a cloudمُّمۡطِرُنَاۚmum'tirunabringing us rainبَلۡbalNayهُوَhuwaitمَاma(is) whatٱسۡتَعۡجَلۡتُمis'ta'jaltumyou were asking it to be hastenedبِهِۦۖbihiyou were asking it to be hastenedرِيحٞrihuna windفِيهَاfihain itعَذَابٌadhabun(is) a punishmentأَلِيمٞalimunpainful٢٤
46:25تُدَمِّرُtudammiruDestroyingكُلَّkullaeveryشَيۡءِۭshayinthingبِأَمۡرِbi-amriby (the) commandرَبِّهَاrabbiha(of) its Lordفَأَصۡبَحُواْfa-asbahuThen they became (such)لَاlanotيُرَىٰٓyurais seenإِلَّاillaexceptمَسَٰكِنُهُمۡۚmasakinuhumtheir dwellingsكَذَٰلِكَkadhalikaThusنَجۡزِيnajziWe recompenseٱلۡقَوۡمَal-qawmathe peopleٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَal-muj'rimina[the] criminals٢٥
46:26وَلَقَدۡwalaqadAnd certainlyمَكَّنَّٰهُمۡmakkannahumWe had established themفِيمَآfimain whatإِنinnotمَّكَّنَّٰكُمۡmakkannakumWe have established youفِيهِfihiin itوَجَعَلۡنَاwaja'alnaand We madeلَهُمۡlahumfor themسَمۡعٗاsam'anhearingوَأَبۡصَٰرٗاwa-absaranand visionوَأَفۡـِٔدَةٗwa-afidatanand heartsفَمَآfamaBut notأَغۡنَىٰaghnaavailedعَنۡهُمۡanhumthemسَمۡعُهُمۡsam'uhumtheir hearingوَلَآwalaand notأَبۡصَٰرُهُمۡabsaruhumtheir visionوَلَآwalaand notأَفۡـِٔدَتُهُمafidatuhumtheir heartsمِّنminanyشَيۡءٍshayinthingإِذۡidhwhenكَانُواْkanuthey wereيَجۡحَدُونَyajhadunarejectingبِـَٔايَٰتِbiayati(the) Signsٱللَّهِal-lahi(of) Allahوَحَاقَwahaqaand envelopedبِهِمbihimthemمَّاmawhatكَانُواْkanuthey used toبِهِۦbihi[at it]يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَyastahziunaridicule٢٦
46:27وَلَقَدۡwalaqadAnd certainlyأَهۡلَكۡنَاahlaknaWe destroyedمَاmawhatحَوۡلَكُمhawlakumsurrounds youمِّنَminaofٱلۡقُرَىٰal-qurathe townsوَصَرَّفۡنَاwasarrafnaand We have diversifiedٱلۡأٓيَٰتِal-ayatithe Signsلَعَلَّهُمۡla'allahumthat they mayيَرۡجِعُونَyarji'unareturn٢٧
46:28فَلَوۡلَاfalawlaThen why (did) notنَصَرَهُمُnasarahumuhelp themٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whomٱتَّخَذُواْittakhadhuthey had takenمِنminbesidesدُونِdunibesidesٱللَّهِal-lahiAllahقُرۡبَانًاqur'banangods as a way of approachءَالِهَةَۢۖalihatangods as a way of approachبَلۡbalNayضَلُّواْdalluthey were lostعَنۡهُمۡۚanhumfrom themوَذَٰلِكَwadhalikaAnd thatإِفۡكُهُمۡif'kuhum(was) their falsehoodوَمَاwamaand whatكَانُواْkanuthey wereيَفۡتَرُونَyaftarunainventing٢٨
46:29وَإِذۡwa-idhAnd whenصَرَفۡنَآsarafnaWe directedإِلَيۡكَilaykato youنَفَرٗاnafarana partyمِّنَminaofٱلۡجِنِّal-jinithe jinnيَسۡتَمِعُونَyastami'unalisteningٱلۡقُرۡءَانَal-qur'ana(to) the QuranفَلَمَّاfalammaAnd whenحَضَرُوهُhadaruhuthey attended itقَالُوٓاْqaluthey saidأَنصِتُواْۖansituListen quietlyفَلَمَّاfalammaAnd whenقُضِيَqudiyait was concludedوَلَّوۡاْwallawthey turned backإِلَىٰilatoقَوۡمِهِمqawmihimtheir peopleمُّنذِرِينَmundhirina(as) warners٢٩
46:30قَالُواْqaluThey saidيَٰقَوۡمَنَآyaqawmanaO our peopleإِنَّاinnaIndeed weسَمِعۡنَاsami'na[we] have heardكِتَٰبًاkitabana Bookأُنزِلَunzilarevealedمِنۢminafterبَعۡدِba'diafterمُوسَىٰmusaMusaمُصَدِّقٗاmusaddiqanconfirmingلِّمَاlimawhatبَيۡنَbayna(was) before itيَدَيۡهِyadayhi(was) before itيَهۡدِيٓyahdiguidingإِلَىilatoٱلۡحَقِّal-haqithe truthوَإِلَىٰwa-ilaand toطَرِيقٖtariqina Pathمُّسۡتَقِيمٖmus'taqiminStraight٣٠
46:31يَٰقَوۡمَنَآyaqawmanaO our peopleأَجِيبُواْajibuRespondدَاعِيَda'iya(to the) callerٱللَّهِal-lahi(of) Allahوَءَامِنُواْwaaminuand believeبِهِۦbihiin himيَغۡفِرۡyaghfirHe will forgiveلَكُمlakumfor youمِّنminofذُنُوبِكُمۡdhunubikumyour sinsوَيُجِرۡكُمwayujir'kumand will protect youمِّنۡminfromعَذَابٍadhabina punishmentأَلِيمٖaliminpainful٣١
46:32وَمَنwamanAnd whoeverلَّاla(does) notيُجِبۡyujibrespondدَاعِيَda'iya(to the) callerٱللَّهِal-lahi(of) Allahفَلَيۡسَfalaysathen notبِمُعۡجِزٖbimu'jizinhe can escapeفِيfiinٱلۡأَرۡضِal-ardithe earthوَلَيۡسَwalaysaand notلَهُۥlahufor himمِنminbesides Himدُونِهِۦٓdunihibesides HimأَوۡلِيَآءُۚawliyauprotectorsأُوْلَٰٓئِكَulaikaThoseفِيfi(are) inضَلَٰلٖdalalinerrorمُّبِينٍmubininclear٣٢
46:33أَوَلَمۡawalamDo notيَرَوۡاْyarawthey seeأَنَّannathatٱللَّهَal-lahaAllahٱلَّذِيalladhi(is) the One Whoخَلَقَkhalaqacreatedٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِal-samawatithe heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضَwal-ardaand the earthوَلَمۡwalamand (was) notيَعۡيَya'yatiredبِخَلۡقِهِنَّbikhalqihinnaby their creationبِقَٰدِرٍbiqadirin(is) ableعَلَىٰٓalato give lifeأَنanto give lifeيُحۡـِۧيَyuh'yiyato give lifeٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰۚal-mawta(to) the deadبَلَىٰٓۚbalaYesإِنَّهُۥinnahuindeed Heعَلَىٰala(is) onكُلِّkullieveryشَيۡءٖshayinthingقَدِيرٞqadirunAll-Powerful٣٣
46:34وَيَوۡمَwayawmaAnd (the) Dayيُعۡرَضُyu'raduare exposedٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoكَفَرُواْkafarudisbelievedعَلَىalatoٱلنَّارِal-narithe FireأَلَيۡسَalaysaIs notهَٰذَاhadhathisبِٱلۡحَقِّۖbil-haqithe truthقَالُواْqaluThey will sayبَلَىٰbalaYesوَرَبِّنَاۚwarabbinaby our LordقَالَqalaHe will sayفَذُوقُواْfadhuquThen tasteٱلۡعَذَابَal-'adhabathe punishmentبِمَاbimabecauseكُنتُمۡkuntumyou used toتَكۡفُرُونَtakfurunadisbelieve٣٤
46:35فَٱصۡبِرۡfa-is'birSo be patientكَمَاkamaasصَبَرَsabarahad patienceأُوْلُواْuluthose of determinationٱلۡعَزۡمِal-'azmithose of determinationمِنَminaofٱلرُّسُلِal-rusulithe Messengersوَلَاwalaand (do) notتَسۡتَعۡجِلtasta'jilseek to hastenلَّهُمۡۚlahumfor themكَأَنَّهُمۡka-annahumAs if they hadيَوۡمَyawma(the) Dayيَرَوۡنَyarawnathey seeمَاmawhatيُوعَدُونَyu'adunathey were promisedلَمۡlamnotيَلۡبَثُوٓاْyalbathuremainedإِلَّاillaexceptسَاعَةٗsa'atanan hourمِّنminofنَّهَارِۭۚnaharina dayبَلَٰغٞۚbalaghunA notificationفَهَلۡfahalBut willيُهۡلَكُyuh'laku(any) be destroyedإِلَّاillaexceptٱلۡقَوۡمُal-qawmuthe people ٱلۡفَٰسِقُونَal-fasiqunathe defiantly disobedient٣٥
47:1ٱلَّذِينَalladhinaThose whoكَفَرُواْkafarudisbelieveوَصَدُّواْwasadduand turn awayعَنanfromسَبِيلِsabili(the) way of Allahٱللَّهِal-lahi(the) way of AllahأَضَلَّadallaHe will cause to be lostأَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡa'malahumtheir deeds١
47:2وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhinaAnd those whoءَامَنُواْamanubelieveوَعَمِلُواْwa'amiluand doٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِal-salihatirighteous deedsوَءَامَنُواْwaamanuand believeبِمَاbimain whatنُزِّلَnuzzilais revealedعَلَىٰalatoمُحَمَّدٖmuhammadinMuhammadوَهُوَwahuwaand itٱلۡحَقُّal-haqu(is) the truthمِنminfromرَّبِّهِمۡrabbihimtheir LordكَفَّرَkaffaraHe will removeعَنۡهُمۡanhumfrom themسَيِّـَٔاتِهِمۡsayyiatihimtheir misdeedsوَأَصۡلَحَwa-aslahaand improveبَالَهُمۡbalahumtheir condition٢
47:3ذَٰلِكَdhalikaThatبِأَنَّbi-anna(is) becauseٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoكَفَرُواْkafarudisbelieveٱتَّبَعُواْittaba'ufollowٱلۡبَٰطِلَal-batilafalsehoodوَأَنَّwa-annaand thatٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoءَامَنُواْamanubelieveٱتَّبَعُواْittaba'ufollowٱلۡحَقَّal-haqa(the) truthمِنminfromرَّبِّهِمۡۚrabbihimtheir LordكَذَٰلِكَkadhalikaThusيَضۡرِبُyadribuAllah presentsٱللَّهُal-lahuAllah presentsلِلنَّاسِlilnnasito the peopleأَمۡثَٰلَهُمۡamthalahumtheir similitudes٣
47:4فَإِذَاfa-idhaSo whenلَقِيتُمُlaqitumuyou meetٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoكَفَرُواْkafarudisbelieveفَضَرۡبَfadarbathen strikeٱلرِّقَابِal-riqabithe necksحَتَّىٰٓhattauntilإِذَآidhawhenأَثۡخَنتُمُوهُمۡathkhantumuhumyou have subdued themفَشُدُّواْfashudduthen bind firmlyٱلۡوَثَاقَal-wathaqathe bondفَإِمَّاfa-immathen eitherمَنَّۢاmannana favorبَعۡدُba'duafterwardsوَإِمَّاwa-immaorفِدَآءًfidaanransomحَتَّىٰhattauntilتَضَعَtada'alays downٱلۡحَرۡبُal-harbuthe warأَوۡزَارَهَاۚawzarahaits burdensذَٰلِكَۖdhalikaThatوَلَوۡwalawAnd ifيَشَآءُyashauAllah had willedٱللَّهُal-lahuAllah had willedلَٱنتَصَرَla-intasarasurely He could have taken retributionمِنۡهُمۡmin'humfrom themوَلَٰكِنwalakinbutلِّيَبۡلُوَاْliyabluwato testبَعۡضَكُمba'dakumsome of youبِبَعۡضٖۗbiba'dinwith othersوَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhinaAnd those whoقُتِلُواْqutiluare killedفِيfiinسَبِيلِsabili(the) way of Allahٱللَّهِal-lahi(the) way of Allahفَلَنfalanthen neverيُضِلَّyudillaHe will cause to be lostأَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡa'malahumtheir deeds٤
47:5سَيَهۡدِيهِمۡsayahdihimHe will guide themوَيُصۡلِحُwayus'lihuand improveبَالَهُمۡbalahumtheir condition٥
47:6وَيُدۡخِلُهُمُwayud'khiluhumuAnd admit themٱلۡجَنَّةَal-janata(to) ParadiseعَرَّفَهَاarrafahaHe has made it knownلَهُمۡlahumto them٦
47:7يَٰٓأَيُّهَاyaayyuhaO you who believeٱلَّذِينَalladhinaO you who believeءَامَنُوٓاْamanuO you who believeإِنinIfتَنصُرُواْtansuruyou helpٱللَّهَal-lahaAllahيَنصُرۡكُمۡyansur'kumHe will help youوَيُثَبِّتۡwayuthabbitand make firmأَقۡدَامَكُمۡaqdamakumyour feet٧
47:8وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhinaBut those whoكَفَرُواْkafarudisbelieveفَتَعۡسٗاfata'sandestruction (is)لَّهُمۡlahumfor themوَأَضَلَّwa-adallaand He will cause to be lostأَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡa'malahumtheir deeds٨
47:9ذَٰلِكَdhalikaThatبِأَنَّهُمۡbi-annahum(is) because theyكَرِهُواْkarihuhateمَآmawhatأَنزَلَanzalaAllah has revealedٱللَّهُal-lahuAllah has revealedفَأَحۡبَطَfa-ahbataso He has made worthlessأَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡa'malahumtheir deeds٩
47:10۞أَفَلَمۡafalamDo notيَسِيرُواْyasiruthey travelفِيfiinٱلۡأَرۡضِal-ardithe earthفَيَنظُرُواْfayanzuruand seeكَيۡفَkayfahowكَانَkanawasعَٰقِبَةُaqibatu(the) endٱلَّذِينَalladhina(of) thoseمِنminbefore themقَبۡلِهِمۡۖqablihimbefore themدَمَّرَdammaraAllah destroyedٱللَّهُal-lahuAllah destroyedعَلَيۡهِمۡۖalayhim[over] themوَلِلۡكَٰفِرِينَwalil'kafirinaand for the disbelieversأَمۡثَٰلُهَاamthaluhaits likeness١٠
47:11ذَٰلِكَdhalikaThatبِأَنَّbi-anna(is) becauseٱللَّهَal-lahaAllahمَوۡلَىmawla(is the) Protectorٱلَّذِينَalladhina(of) those whoءَامَنُواْamanubelieveوَأَنَّwa-annaand thatٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَal-kafirinathe disbelievers لَاla(there is) noمَوۡلَىٰmawlaprotectorلَهُمۡlahumfor them١١
47:12إِنَّinnaIndeedٱللَّهَal-lahaAllahيُدۡخِلُyud'khiluwill admitٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoءَامَنُواْamanubelieveوَعَمِلُواْwa'amiluand doٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِal-salihatirighteous deedsجَنَّٰتٖjannatin(to) Gardensتَجۡرِيtajriflowمِنminfromتَحۡتِهَاtahtihaunderneath itٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُۖal-anharuthe riversوَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhinabut those whoكَفَرُواْkafarudisbelieveيَتَمَتَّعُونَyatamatta'unathey enjoyوَيَأۡكُلُونَwayakulunaand eatكَمَاkamaasتَأۡكُلُtakulueatٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمُal-an'amuthe cattleوَٱلنَّارُwal-naruand the Fireمَثۡوٗىmathwan(will be) an abodeلَّهُمۡlahumfor them١٢
47:13وَكَأَيِّنwaka-ayyinAnd how manyمِّنminofقَرۡيَةٍqaryatina townهِيَhiyawhichأَشَدُّashaddu(was) strongerقُوَّةٗquwwatan(in) strengthمِّنminthanقَرۡيَتِكَqaryatikayour townٱلَّتِيٓallatiwhichأَخۡرَجَتۡكَakhrajatkahas driven you outأَهۡلَكۡنَٰهُمۡahlaknahumWe destroyed themفَلَاfalaso noنَاصِرَnasirahelperلَهُمۡlahumfor them١٣
47:14أَفَمَنafamanThen is (he) whoكَانَkanaisعَلَىٰalaonبَيِّنَةٖbayyinatina clear proofمِّنminfromرَّبِّهِۦrabbihihis Lordكَمَنkamanlike (he) whoزُيِّنَzuyyinais made attractiveلَهُۥlahuto himسُوٓءُsuu(the) evilعَمَلِهِۦamalihi(of) his deedsوَٱتَّبَعُوٓاْwa-ittaba'uwhile they followأَهۡوَآءَهُمahwaahumtheir desires١٤
47:15مَّثَلُmathaluA parableٱلۡجَنَّةِal-janati(of) Paradiseٱلَّتِيallatiwhichوُعِدَwu'idais promisedٱلۡمُتَّقُونَۖal-mutaquna(to) the righteousفِيهَآfihaThereinأَنۡهَٰرٞanharun(are) riversمِّنminofمَّآءٍmainwaterغَيۡرِghayrinotءَاسِنٖasininpollutedوَأَنۡهَٰرٞwa-anharunand riversمِّنminofلَّبَنٖlabaninmilkلَّمۡlamnotيَتَغَيَّرۡyataghayyarchangesطَعۡمُهُۥta'muhuits tasteوَأَنۡهَٰرٞwa-anharunand riversمِّنۡminofخَمۡرٖkhamrinwineلَّذَّةٖladhatindeliciousلِّلشَّٰرِبِينَlilsharibinafor (the) drinkersوَأَنۡهَٰرٞwa-anharunand riversمِّنۡminofعَسَلٖasalinhoneyمُّصَفّٗىۖmusaffanpurifiedوَلَهُمۡwalahumand for themفِيهَاfihathereinمِنminofكُلِّkulliallٱلثَّمَرَٰتِal-thamaratifruitsوَمَغۡفِرَةٞwamaghfiratunand forgivenessمِّنminfromرَّبِّهِمۡۖrabbihimtheir Lordكَمَنۡkamanlike he whoهُوَhuwalike he whoخَٰلِدٞkhalidun(will) abide foreverفِيfiinٱلنَّارِal-narithe Fireوَسُقُواْwasuquand they will be given to drinkمَآءًmaanwaterحَمِيمٗاhamimanboilingفَقَطَّعَfaqatta'aso it cuts into piecesأَمۡعَآءَهُمۡam'aahumtheir intestines١٥
